chapter 9
The Devils POV
The Autumn Town of Mystery, they call it.
I looked around, realizing the difference of this place to hell as you know it.
The absence of fire and humans suffering. Bowing to me when I arrive, and jumping off into the fire when my world gets to their little minds.
Pathetic!
It disgust me for this place to feel as though it was in concordance with the people that breathe it's air.
But I must calm my anger before I burn this place, I am only here for Violet.
My little muffin, only her young soul could turn me into a saccharine fire god.

I spotted them, they are just about to step foot in the building. I allowed it to caught on fire, the lives that i've taken fuelling my happiness.
They weren't close enough for them to wear the evidence of a burn, but they were pleasantly close.
I smirked as I disappeared.
My little muffin must be waiting for my arrival.
***
I don't like what I see.
Josh Purple Stone.
The boy I wanted her to keep away from.
She was so focus on correcting her mission, there was nothing to worry about.
"Father you can come out now, I told Josh everything..."
She doesn't sound like Violet, my daughter...muffin.
She sounded like she was in inlove, I fed myself with the thought of torturing the younger version of him, the right medicine to endure this nonsense.
I showed up in her room, the living room visit wasn't to her liking.
I saw them on the sofa when half of my body was peaking out of the wall.

"What are you saying father?!"
Her voice was raised, with Josh in the middle of this, Violet needs to remember that I am her father.
My head was held high, my stance... was that of grandiosity if you may, she knowingly kept her voice down.
"Father..."
She trailed off desperately for a confirmation towards what I've said to belong to the ocean of lies.
"As I've said..."
"He had a complication at birth."
"He's unfortunately both good and evil, there is nothing we can do about this Violet."
My voice sounded serious, of course there was something that could be done, but a child will always believe her parents.
I need her to complete missions set by me, not falling in love, nothing should hold her back!
She looked at him and then he looked at her and they both looked at me, before he looked at her with eyes of longing that made me urge to tug them out of their sockets.
Her eyes washed the floor as if they were hosing the parasites that were invisible. Perhaps searching her mind for the argument I knew was coming.
"You told me there is no such thing as soulmates, so why should I believe there's nothing we could do father?!"
There was a knock on the door.
***
Violet's POV
I refused to get the door, I kept glaring at father whilst he completely ignored me, as if we weren't having this conversation.
"The devil himself..."
Pam's voice came from the direction of the door, distaste stinging her words.
Chad wasn't on her tail and I didn't feel like being here anymore, I ran out the door and headed to Josh's house.
Father didn't call after me, Pam was way more important than lying to his own daughter, I don't care about this mission anymore!
"Violet!"
Just hearing him shout my name intensified this strange feeling inside.
I had to stop and turn around.
His hazel eyes were now red, father was coming behind him and Pam was coming behind father.
Josh attention was caught by someone or something behind me, which I later found out was Chad.
I couldn't help myself with the words that are about to leave my lips, I didn't care that they were all here right now.
"I never want to leave you..."
