" When do you think they'll wake?" Says Isabelle.

They were looking at the two Parabatai's in the infirmary while they waited for them to wake.

" I'm not sure. They were pretty banged up and even though their healed it's still going to take a bit for them to recover mentally." Says Catarina.

" How injured did you say they were again?" Says Isabelle.

" Well Jace had a broke leg, a fractured arm, a couple fractured ribs and some bad bruises. Poor Alec had the worst of it. He sad four ribs that were completely crushed, a broke shoulder, he also had another fracture in another rib, some intense bruising around his ribs cage, and lastly he had a crack in his jaw bone. " says Catarina.

Isabelle nodded. " I wish we had gotten there sooner to help them. Maybe then they wouldn't have been so hurt."

" Maybe, but if you had the demon would have hurt you two as well and then we'd have four Shadowhunter who couldn't help us if something was to happen." Says Catarina. Isabelle nodded.

" I understand that. I still wish we could have helped." Says Isabelle. Catarina just nodded along.

The room then went silent. No one spoke again for a while. Magnus, Simon, Clary, and Sami soon walked in and they sat and started talking.

Soon Jace woke slowly and looked around, blinking as his eyes adjusted to the brightness of the room.

He then looked and saw Isabelle, Simon, Catarina, Sami, Clary, and Magnus were sitting and talking.

He then looked and saw Alec passed out on the bed next to his.

" Hey guys. How long have I been out?" Says Jace.

Their heads snapped over to Jace and a smile lit up Clary's face.

" You've been out about two days." Says Catarina.

Jace's eyes went wide. " Two days?!! Are you Serious?!!"

Magnus got up and walked over. " I'm afraid so. You guys may had been healed physically but not mentally. So while your body had recovered your mind had not. It needed time. That is why you were out for so long."

Jace nodded. " Makes sense." Says Jace.

They nodded. " When do you think he'll wake?" Says Jace looking back at Alec.

" Not sure. He went through worse then you did. At most he could be out for one more day." Says Catarina.

Jace nodded.

" I have a question." Says Simon.

Jace looked over at him. " Let me hear it." Says Jace.

" Why did you get hurt like that?" Says Simon.

" It's a pretty long story." Says Jace.

Sami walked forward. " Here let me read your mind." Says Sami.

" Are you sure you can handle it after you freaked out seeing the venom?" Says Catarina.

Sami nodded. " Yes I'm sure." Says Sami.

He used his power to read Jace's mind. Images flashed before his eyes as the entire story played out from the eyes of Jace. It was shocking and brutal. Then he saw it.

The demon. His human face among the others but hidden in the back. The horrifying smirk that was plastered across his face as he watched the Shadowhunter get beat with the tentacles.

Sami's head started pounding again. So suddenly and so painful he lost the connection to his memories and fell to his knees clutching his head in pain as he let out a loud cry of agony.

Catarina was by his side in seconds. " I saw him. Catarina I saw him."

" Saw who honey. Who did you see?" Says Catarina.

" The demon, the same one that gave me the spell I nearly died for. It was him. He was among them, smirking as he watched. He was there. He was there Catarina. He was there!!"

He was trying to control his breathing. The pain in his head got worse. " I'm sorry.  I know I said I could handle it, but I can't. I just can't. I- I'm sorry, I go to get out of here. I'm sorry." Says Sami, and with that he got up and bolted out of the room as fast as he could and was gone.

The others stood there frozen. " What the heck was that about?" Says Simon.

" He saw the demon he got the mind control spell from and just lost it." Says Magnus.

" I better go after him. He needs to calm down, it's affecting me some as well." Says Magnus, then he was gone.

Then everything went silent and no one said a word.

( Back with Sami.)

Sami ran and ran. His head was hurting so badly he almost couldn't stand, but he was pushing through the pain.

He wasn't just in pain, he was also scared, very scared. He didn't want to lose control again.

He ran down a alley way and suddenly Magnus appeared in front of him. He just came out of nowhere.

Sami stops running. " You don't have to run." Says Magnus.

" Magnus something's wrong with me. I can't be around anyone, especially Catarina. I don't want to lose control and hurt them like I did to you. I need to leave." Says Sami.

" Where are you going to go. The Clave won't let you leave New York." Says Magnus.

" I don't know, but I'll think of something." After that he took off running the other way, but somehow Magnus was there as well.

He looked back and he was there as well. " What the h... " he was stopped by yet another Magnus pinning him against the wall. He was using hologram  that he made with his powers.

" I don't want to hurt you Magnus, not again." Says Sami.

" Let me help you Sami. We're connected. I can feel what you feel. Your scared and angry and in pain. I can help your with that, but only if you let me." Says Magnus.

Sami growled in anger. " How is pinning me against a wall helping?" Snapped Sami.

" It's to keep you in place why we talk or else you'd run from me." Says Magnus.

Sami nodded. " Fine, you can help me." Says Sami.

" Good, now what was it that you saw in Jace's memory?" Says Magnus.

Sami did the only thing he could. He put his hands to Magnus's temples and forced the memory into Magnus's mind.

Magnus gasped in sharply. He not only saw the memory, he also felt the pain Sami was feeling in his head.

Once the memory was over Magnus dropped his hands that were pinning Sami to the wall. He backed away breathing heavy.

" It's worse then I thought. Come we're going to my flat to figure this out." Says Magnus.

Sami nodded and together they walked out of that alley and towards Magnus's flat.
