Prologue and Introductions

Mount Olympus, December 22nd, 1973:

The Solstice Council was in full swing, as always. Rhea, Queen Titaness, was sitting next to Hestia at the hearth, sighing at the argument that was brewing between Poseidon and Hades. "It'll be okay, daughter." Rhea murmured softly, kissing Hestia's head gently as the hearth dimmed. "Not when they get like this." Hestia sighed, looking annoyed. Before the argument could escalate powers wise, there was a brilliant flash of green light that forced all the current Gods in attendance to cover their eyes. When it died down, the three Fates themselves appeared, causing Poseidon and Hades to shut up immediately.

Zeus snorted slightly, and bowed his head. "Hello, Daughters. What is the reason for this interruption?" He greeted respectfully. Atropos shot her father a glare, causing him to wilt. "In the future, consecutive wars will take place that will cause the deaths of countless demigods." The Fate of Death said ominously. "We would like to ensure that doesn't happen." Clotho, the Fate of Birth, spoke up next. Lachesis was staring murderously at Apollo, causing him to squirm nervously. "Part of it is Apollo's fault, and he will be punished." Lachesis, the Fate of Life, spoke up next, causing Apollo to visibly pale. Artemis frowned at her brother, and Zoë Nightshade tilted her head in confusion. Lachesis waved her hand, and there were two more flashes of light as two groups of people appeared, one of which included Chiron, who looked nauseous from the sudden teleportation.

He covered his mouth, then cleared his throat, bowing his head. "Greetings, Brothers, Sisters." He looked at the 6 children of Kronos, who looked equally surprised to see the centaur. Lupa snarled softly, pacing in front of the Romans. Atropos snapped her fingers, and a group of books appeared in the middle. "Pallas Jackson and the Olympians." Zeus read aloud on the spine, the Black man tilting his head curiously. Pallas groaned as her name was read out, and the blonde boy next to her snorted. "You will all read these books. Secrets will be unearthed, lives will changed, and the future will be saved, no doubt about it." Clotho explained. "But, if any of you Gods harm the demigods in any way, we won't hesitate to end you." Atropos threatened. "Pallas's group will make their introductions first." Lachesis finished, as she and her sisters vanished in another flash of green light.

Zeus rubbed his eyes, then glanced down at the two groups of demigods, hesitating when he saw the Romans. This is going to be a headache. Zeus thought privately, before clearing his throat. "Well, Greeks, go on." He beckoned Pallas with the tone of an impatient father. Pallas rubbed her head, looking nervous. "What year is it, first?" She asked nervously. "It's August 18th, 1973. We've been in America since right before the Founding Fathers founded America." Athena spoke up impatiently. Pallas shot her a death glare, then cleared her throat. "Guess I'll start." She sighed. Her eyes were swirling with energy, stormy, dark, and cloudy sea green. Her visible skin was littered in battle scars from her past 4 years. She also had a grey streak in her hair. What was that about?

Pallas stepped up nervously. "My name is Pallas Amphitrite Jackson. Daughter of Poseidon and Sally Jackson-Blofis." She spoke up. Poseidon started in surprise, and gasped. Amphitrite looked annoyed, touched, and shocked all at once. "POSEIDON!" Zeus roared, thinking of the Oath. Poseidon just sighed, shaking his head at Zeus. Pallas cringed, making a nervous squeaking noise.

The black haired guy next to her snickered faintly, before clearing his throat, and stepping up. "My name is Alexander Chase, Son of Athena." He bowed his head towards his mother, who gave him a small smile. There was a cry of outrage from the blonde holding a teddy bear, and Athena shot him a murderous look, immediately shutting him up.

A young African American teen stepped up next with a cocky smirk. "My name is Clarisse La Rue, Daughter of Ares." She boasted proudly. The African American boy next to her waved with a cheeky smirk. "My name is Cadmus La Rue, Son of Ares. And yes, before anyone asks, named after THAT Cadmus." Cadmus explained. Ares smirked at his children, and created a couch for them, where they sat down.

Two identical looking boys with brown hair and a mischievous smile stepped up. "Travis and Connor Stoll, Sons of Hermes." They spoke up. Hermes cheered, and conjured a couch for his sons, which they sat down on.

"Chris Rodriguez, Son of Hermes." Chris spoke up next, and Hermes gave him a warm smile, as Chris went to sit next to his brothers. The Latino-American teen ran a hand through his shaggy hair, shaking it out.

"Silena Beauregard, Daughter of Aphrodite." Silena smiled warmly, her eyes changing from brown to pink instantly. Piper gasped in shock, then immediately covered her mouth as Aphrodite conjured a couch for her favorite child. "My name is Piper McLean, I'm also a Daughter of Aphrodite." She cringed as Aphrodite squealed, and Piper reluctantly sat down next to her sister. Silena watched Piper curiously, tilting her head in confusion. "Drew Tanaka, also a daughter of Aphrodite." Drew spoke up, polishing her nails. Piper grimaced as Drew sat on the other side of Silena.

"My name is Charles Beckendorf, Son of Hephaestus." Charlie waved at the group, and Hephaestus raised his brow curiously, conjuring a couch for him. Leo also gasped, and then covered his mouth, clearing his throat. "My name is Leo Valdez, Son of Hephaestus." Leo spoke up, heading over to sit next to his apparently not so deceased half brother. Charles gave him a gentle smile.

Nico walked up next, cringing faintly at the reaction he was about to receive. "My name is Nico di Angelo, Son of Hades." He spoke up, and both Poseidon and Zeus glared at Hades. "I was born before the Oath, it's a long story." He added quickly. Hades paused, and studied Nico. "Child, where is your sister?" He asked softly, sounding worried. Pallas let out a strangled cry of grief at the mention of Bianca, causing Hades to give her a strange look. His eyes widened, and Nico bowed his head. "Yeah." He said lamely, and Pallas shook her head. "It's my fault, Uncle. It'll be explained later, but I'm so, so sorry." She said earnestly.

Zeus cleared his throat. "Enough." He said firmly. "Next." He ordered, pointing at the Greeks. A woman who could only be Pallas' mother stepped up, rubbing her daughter's back. She was holding a beautiful little baby. "My name is Sally Jackson-Blofis, Poseidon's former lover, and I'm Pallas' mother." She introduced herself, giving Amphitrite a bashful smile. "This is my second daughter, Estelle Jackson-Blofis." She added, and the baby gurgled. Paul chuckled. "My name is Paul Blofis, I'm Pallas' stepfather, and Estelle's father, and Sally's husband." He introduced himself, as he and Sally sat down next to Pallas on the sea green couch. The young, burly man shifted nervously. "Tyson, I'm a Cyclops, son of Poseidon." He cringed at the disgusted looks the Romans shot him. Pallas sent the Romans a death glare, and pulled Tyson protectively to her.

"My name is Thalia Grace, Daughter of Zeus, and Lieutenant of Artemis." Thalia spoke up with a small huff. "Hypocrite." Poseidon spoke up at Zeus, while Hera let out an indignant squeak of rage. "ZEUS!" She roared, slapping his head. The Thunder God cringed, and Zoë frowned in confusion. "But I'm the Lieutenant." She spoke up. Thalia and Pallas both gasped. "It's a long story." Thalia said simply, and Pallas turned away, clearly trying not to break down in tears.

"My name is Chiron, as you all know." Chiron cleared his throat, stepping off to the side as the Black man sank into his magical wheelchair. Reyna stared at Chiron in surprise. Zeus rubbed his head. "Romans, you go next." He barked.

My name is Lupa. I am Chiron's Roman equivalent, and Roman goddess of wolves. The massive she-wolf growled softly, and the Greeks shivered, but otherwise remained silent. Reyna stepped up boldly, bowing respectfully. "My name is Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano, Daughter of Bellona, Praetor of the 12th Legion." She introduced herself. The blonde boy next to her with sky blue eyes rubbed his head, then stepped forward awkwardly. "Uh, hi?" He started, clearing his throat. He cringed. "My name is Jason Grace, Son of Jupiter. Reyna's Co-Praetor." He added. There was one beat, two beats, three beats. Hera let out a scream of pure rage as the windows shook. "ZEUSSSSSSSSSS!" Hera yelled at the top of her lungs, beginning to glow, which caused all the demigods to flinch.

Thalia let out a strangled cry, and ran over to hug Jason tightly, crushing him in a bear hug. She started sobbing, and Jason patted her back, looking bashful. "Hi, Sis." He smiled sheepishly. Thalia pulled herself away, clearing her throat. She went to sit back next to Artemis and Zoë, who gave Thalia a slightly confused look.

Once the commotion died down, the next young man, a guy with a baby face, Canadian-American, walked up hesitantly. "My name is Frank Zhang, I have no idea who my father is." He scuffed his feet, glancing at Apollo hopefully. Apollo smiled sadly, shaking his head. The Olympians, and several of the minor gods and goddesses, looked at each other, before Ares stepped up, and snapped his fingers. His symbol appeared over Frank's head, causing him to moan in discomfort. "No!" He complained, begrudgingly heading over to sit next to Clarisse and Cadmus. Cadmus cuffed Frank's head angrily, causing him to wince. "Don't disrespect our father." Cadmus warned coldly. Reyna shot Cadmus a deep look of irritation, glancing at Frank worriedly.

The next young woman, a beautiful Black girl with seemingly golden eyes and dark hair, looked nervous as she stepped up. "My name is Hazel Levesque, Daughter of Pluto." She introduced herself shyly. Zeus and Poseidon shot Hades a glare, and he rolled his eyes. Nico stepped up. "Hazel was born before the Oath, and Dad was the only one who didn't break it." He snapped at his uncles, who eyed him. Thanatos spoke up next as he looked at Hazel. "You should be dead, young woman." He said, in a deep, melodic voice. Hazel flinched, and Nico sighed. "It's a long story, and kind of my fault." He admitted. Hades groaned, and Zeus snorted in amusement. "Next!" Zeus barked.

A young man with bloodshot eyes and a flask of something walked up. "My name is Dakota Sawyer, Son of Bacchus." He glanced over at Dionysus with a wide grin, sauntering over to sit next to Castor and Pollux. The two gave their Roman half-brother a gentle smile.

It was easy to see who the beautiful young centurion was related to as she stepped up, her pink eyes sparkling. "My name is Gwendolyn Stacy. And yes, I was named after THAT Gwen Stacy." She spoke up with a small smirk. "I'm a daughter of Venus." She added, as Gwen walked over to sit next to Piper, Silena, and Drew. The young man with blonde hair next to Gwen gave a shy smile. "I'm Falcon Stacy, Son of Venus. Gwen's younger brother." He introduced himself, heading over to sit next to his sisters. Piper did a double take, having never seen one of her siblings so shy.

"My name is Octavian Simmons, I'm a Legacy of Apollo, through my mother's side." Octavian said, scowling as he glanced over at Alexander. Octavian went to sit next to Apollo and Will.

Grover clopped clop up, looking a bit nervous. "My name is Grover Underwood, I'm the Lord of the Wild." He introduced himself. Rachel stepped up next. "My name is Rachel Elizabeth Dare, I'm a mortal, but I'm also a Seer like Mrs. Jackson-Blofis." She explained. "I helped on Alexander's quest." She added, nodding to the son of Athena. The Black teen scowled a bit, but he nodded in reluctant agreement.

Zeus rubbed his head, already feeling a headache coming on. All the Gods stiffened as a voice rang through their heads. If any harm comes to the demigods and mortals, there WILL BE SEVERE CONSEQUENCES! The Fates roared telepathically, before finally vanishing from the room. Zeus shuddered, then cleared his throat. "Well, after that, who would like to read first?" Zeus asked. Lupa tilted her head, then stepped forward as she grabbed the sea green first book, with the title The Lightning Thief, emblazoned in gold on the spine. I will read first, Lord Jupiter. Zeus. Lupa corrected herself automatically, and Zeus nodded as Lupa flipped to the first pace. The she-wolf sat on her haunches, flipping to the first page. The reading had begun!
