Honestly, I was not expecting this. I thought it would have been Belarus or Finland opening, but I don't mind. She'll qualify for sure but maybe she'll have fewer chances of winning the semi...

Finland
Same, I don't really see this qualifying anymore. Not that I ever really did, but I feel kind of sad for Finland, they never qualify :/ (although they kind of have their part of responsibility in this, since they have the tendency of sending the wrong songs to ESC...)

Poland
Oh crap! I would have preferred to have them higher, I am afraid we won't see the girls in the final this year, unless they have an outstanding staging to blow our minds, which I highly doubt, but we never know...

Slovenia
Again, I would have preferred them higher, and in between two uptempo pop songs, but let's keep our fingers crossed (unless you don't like the song... then, don't)!

Czech Republic
For a first-half entry, it didn't place too badly! Hell, I even see this potentially qualifying!

Hungary
I don't know what to predict... I don't think the staging will be the central element of the performance, but we never know. I have no idea about Hungary's chances this year. Honestly no idea.

Belarus
I still don't see this qualifying.

Serbia
Now Nevena was sort of lucky of being the last first-half performer, but I'm afraid Serbia and Belgium will cancel each other out...

And what were they thinking when they put Belgium right after Serbia? They had every option, but they did this. I mean, if Belgium won't qualify, I couldn't care less, but I'm just afraid for Serbia. C'mon they deserve to qualify this year!

Georgia
Still won't qualify.

Australia
At least she's not closing.

Iceland
I'm not sure I like their position. I think they'll still qualify but I wanted them to close the semi so bad :'D And I'm not sure I appreciate the fact that they're right after Australia, since the two of them are two of the three... um... "different" acts of this semi. But then, the three of them were set to perform in the second half of semi 1, so it was sort of expected. And maybe they'll benefit from the huge change in atmosphere, from the over-the-top opera pop, very cheesy and crazy and weird and kitsch and overall very Eurovision-friendly (at least in the minds of lambda viewers), to, well, them. But still, I'm kind of pissed :')
Besides, I reaaaaaaaaally feel like they'll perform in the first half of the grand final. Because they're my favorites and I always run out of luck when it comes to my favorites pre-contest.

Estonia
Guess who just got sandwiched? It could either work in their favor (in the sense that they are the "normal" entry in between two very non-traditional songs) or, most likely, in their de-favor (in the sense that they are the "more predictable and cheaper" entry in between two more interesting songs). But we'll see.

Portugal
Oh yeah! Great spot!

Now they were lucky as hell. I really see Greece winning this semi, with the right staging.

San Marino
OOOOOOH YESSSSS! Even if I still believe this spot is rightfully Iceland's, I'm really happy they let Serhat take it! Now, do what you have to do, and QUALIFY. I won't accept any other result.

Finally, I know, it's time to say goodbye, I guess. Although it was obvious from the start that this was not going to make it through, we just received the official confirmation of that fact.

Ouch again :/ They'll make it through, but still, fourth place is not really a good spot.

Same as Hungary, I have no idea if it has chances or not. I don't think so, but I wouldn't rule them out just yet.

Good spot, they'll obviously go through.

I'm afraid that Croatia and Austria will cancel each other out, but maybe the break in between the songs will help + if one song had to win the battle it would be Austria. But then, do I see this qualifying? Nah.

Unless the number 13 brings them misfortune, I don't see any alternate world in which this doesn't qualify.

Oooooh I'm not happy about this. Like, at all. They still had a lot of songs left, why did it have to be Albania? Russia will totally cancel her, and I'm not even mentioning Norway...

Norway
I think the running order will help them out, but I still think this might fail. It can very narrowly miss the final, or qualify by being like... 10th or 9th. I don't think it will do as well as people predict :/

The Netherlands
Okay, yeah. Clear winner of the semi. Qualification guaranteed.

North Macedonia
Might help them out, but I'm still not very hopeful.

Azerbaijan
OH YEAH! I'm super happy he closes! I really think he'll do well with the right staging! :3

And although it is quite stupid to predict anything at this early stage, here are my predictions for the two semis, solely based on the hype factor, common sense, and, oviously, the running order:

SEMI FINAL 1:

Places 10 to 5, random:

Slovenia (like, borderline), San Marino, Hungary, Serbia (mayyyyyyyyyyyybe), Belgium & Australia (depends on the staging)

Places 4 to 1, random:

Cyprus, Greece (who I believe will win), Portugal, Iceland

SEMI FINAL 2:

Places 10 to 5, random:

Armenia, Norway, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Malta, North Macedonia (with a good staging only, the running order may help)

Places 4 to 1, random:

Russia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden

But yeah, it's still pretty meaningless :')
