28. Unspoken Desires

In the house next door, a tale unfolds,
Of glances stolen, secrets untold.
There's a boy, perhaps a bit naive,
With eyes that linger, hearts deceive.

He sits with books or a glowing screen,
While you, lost in pages, remain unseen.
Yet his gaze, like a gentle caress,
Finds its way to you, in quietness.

He smiles, a flicker of innocence there,
Unaware of the thoughts you bear.
You deem him simple, maybe a bit dense,
But in his eyes, there's a quiet sense.

A silent observer, his heart's decree,
To admire from afar, yet never to flee.
Though words may falter, his glances convey,
A story of affection in a wordless display.

So in the dance of gazes, a tale is spun,
Of two souls intertwined, yet apart, as one.
For he, the boy next door, with his charming smile,
Watches you from afar, in your quiet aisle.

And though you try to evade his adoring sight,
In his eyes, you'll find a silent delight.
For in the realm of unspoken desires,
He admires you, with love's gentle fires.
