The pixie with an identity crisis
Amelia, cautiously opened her eyelids, trying to accustom her eyes to the new found light coming from the door the strangers entered through. Slowly the blurry images of multiple silhouettes focused into just two. In front of her stood two beautiful creatures, men but not entirely.
One of them had sharp cheekbones and flawless golden hair, his attire resembled that of a prince, as his immaculate royal blue jacket complemented his superior stance. His smile was mesmerising and he gave an aura of purity and innocence. Like he was not capable of harm, but judging from the prison she awoke in- Amelia knew it was all an elaborate disguise.
The second one wore a devilish smirk as he dusted off his hands- making Amelia assume he was the psychotic asshole that threw the brick at her. He had hair the colour of roses. The evil glint in his eyes worked well with his heavy combat boots. He wore all black, and had chains of all sorts hanging out of his pants.
But the thing that stood out the most to Amelia, was their eyes-white pupils with silver irises. They were not werewolves nor were they vampires.
They stared at Amelia like she was a test subject.
"This is it?" The rosy haired man snarked "this is the luna of the blood hounds? What a bore, keeping her alive will be a hassle"
"Now, now, Gavreel, don't be rude," the blond said with a dazzling smile as his long legs gracefully walked towards her "don't mind him, we mean you no harm," he extended a hand towards Amelia, which she very gracefully declined when she bit it before he touched her.
It didn't seem to hurt the creature but he immediately pulled after, a look of distaste on his beautiful face, as if he touched something dirty.
"We were only trying to be kind," the man's voice continued to be melodic but this time, Amelia sensed a hint of hostility hid beneath his smile.
"You are one poisoning and a kidnapping too late to start being kind," she coughed out as she glared daggers with a small sarcastic smile "please don't tire yourself by starting now."
"Gavreel," the golden haired man sighed as his rosy haired companion-with an odd name like Gavreel came forward.
"Just so you know, I really respect your tenacity" Gavreel whispered in Amelia's ear as his rosy locks brushed against her cheek while she struggled to stand up "so this hurts me too."
And two seconds later Amelia felt a blow in her stomach, followed by another one hitting her spine. Judging from the small glimpse she got at Gavreel, his wide smile didn't really look like it hurt him at all.
Bastard! Just wait till the drugs ware off, I'll rearrange that pretty face of yours!
"You'll have to be able to touch my pretty face first," Gavreel taunted with one of his feet still pressing on Amelia's back, holding her down effortlessly.
"You...you read my mind?" Amelia growled lowly.
"Oh? Did you not know we could do that?" He teased with darkness in his eyes "You werewolves are pathetic. So absorbed with catching your prey, you fail to notice your own predators. Just because you seem to dominate the weaker species of this planet. You may be stronger than humans but you will never be stronger than us."
"So...what you're saying here...is that you're...a fairy?" Amelia mocked.
That was apparently the wrong answer as Amelia felt another blow in her stomach.
"You dare compare us to such lowly creatures" Gavreel seethed "the name's Gavreel, the angel of mercy and forgiveness at your service."
He smile before he continued kicking Amelia in the ribs mercilessly.
The irony.
"Angel huh?" Amelia breathed as she clutched onto her throbbing stomach "aren't you suppose to be afraid of God or something?"
"We aren't exactly on the best of terms, you see, he claims I'm not very gentle or forgiving. So I guess he thought we needed a little space to clear both of our heads. But for now, like they say- If God watches, the least we can do is be entertaining," Gavreel laughed as the blond prince- Azrael shook his head.
"That's enough of that, let's not waste any time, you look quite uncomfortable" Azrael said as he walked around Amelia's bruised body, his tone had empathy although his eyes told another story.
"Fine, even if I believe you are angels, what the hell do you want from me?!" Amelia yelled, getting hostile, her werewolf healing was not working like it usually did and she was not used to being in so much pain for so long. It looked like she'd actually have to start baring the consequences of her smart mouth.
"She thinks we, Gavreel-the god killer and Azrael-the will bender would want something from a pitiful thing like her," Gavreel boomed with superiority as he cracked up.
God killer? what a phoney, first the psycho calls himself the angel of peace, now this? How many gods has this asshole even killed?
Amelia snorted at the thought while Gavreel's lips twitched as he listened to her mocking him in her thoughts.
"None, yet," a sly smile spread across his face.
Amelia's eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets after hearing his bold declaration. Was that even possible? Talk about high aspirations.
"That is a conversation for another time but can you please refrain from adding these strange titles after my name," Azrael brushed off "what we want now is Isaac."
"Isaac?" Amelia's heart dropped
"Yes, you see an old friend wants to see him, but you know Isaac, most insociable. We thought maybe you could give him a ring and help us out," his silver eyes glowed as he pulled out a sleek cellphone from his pocket.
The phone rang as he held it against Amelia's ears.
What the hell should I say? What if they want to kill him? I can't risk him getting hurt! But then again this is all his fault!
"Hello?!" Came Isaac's exasperated voice.
Amelia was about to answer back as she opened her mouth, the sheer sound of his voice lifted a burden off her shoulders and made her feel safe. But then she saw the eagerness in Gavreel's eyes and closed her mouth without letting out a sound. She would not allow them to come near Isaac! And she would be damned before she let everything go according to their plan!
When she didn't respond back he slowly asked "Amelia...is that you?" Desperation clear in his voice.
'Nope, not going to cave in' Amelia thought as she scoffed at the two creatures staring at her expectantly.
"Oh for god's sake," Gavreel huffed as he punched her stomach, earning a "YOU BASTARD!" from Amelia.
"IT IS YOU!!! AMELIA, I KNEW IT, WHERE ARE YOU? WHAT HAPPENED? DID I SCARE YOU AWAY? ARE YOU HURT?" Isaac panicked as he pressed the cellphone to his ear, as if it could help him hear her voice again.
"That's enough" Gavreel pressed the phone to his own ear "as you can see your mate has been giving us great company.
"The fuck you want Gavreel?" Isaac fumed.
"Watch who you're talking to dog," Gavreel snarled.
"Give the phone to Azrael oversized pixie," the Alpha spit back.
Amelia had never been more proud of Isaac than at that moment.
"What makes you think he's even here?"
"Everyone knows you both travel in a pair"
"I'll give it to him, but not before you finally agree to fight me, you can only avoid Gavreel- the angel of darkness for so long," Gavreel smiled, fire in his eyes.
What was going on? How did Isaac know them this well?
"It would be cruel to fight tinker bell, now give the phone to Azrael, I am not interested in dealing with your identity crisis nor am I interested in talking to the side kick."
Before the red head could release his wrath, Azrael quickly but gracefully slipped the phone out of his grasp.
"Amelia is safe but we'll need you to pick her up," the blond prince mused with deceit in his eyes.
"You touch a hair on her head and I'm going to slit your throat," Isaac said menacingly slow.
"You know we can not lie Isaac, I did not touch her."
Amelia laughed, it wasn't a lie, just because this creature could not lie didn't meant he was above deceit.
"We are in Sultaniye, the house of Virgin Mary, you have forty eight hours to get here, you know, before he arrives."
"He?! Impossible! What type of sick joke is this? I want to speak to Amelia-" Isaac tried before Azrael ended the call and with a laugh, slammed the phone against the wall when Isaac tried to dial him again.
And for the first time, Amelia thought she saw fear in Gavreel's eyes.
But it wasn't for Isaac.
