I hate you all

The six wolves approached her slowly, growling and baring their teeth. Amelia looked at a stick next to her foot, They probably wouldn't find it amusing if I threw this and told them to fetch, right? She moved the stick with her foot and the loud snarls confirmed her suspicions.

Moron the voice had the audacity to hiss at her before fading into the background. It had been with her since she was seven. The first time it showed up, it urged her to pull the fire alarm at school. It was a human school and she couldn't have told them the voice in her head made her do it.

How crazy would that have sounded? So the teachers labelled her an attention seeker and the voice snickered at her, it was still as obnoxious as ever. She really needed a witch to check it out later.

That was, of course, if she managed to survive. Amelia closed her eyes, awaiting the possibility of her inevitable death. But it never came. She heard the sounds of bones cracking and opened her eyes to see six men, now standing in front of her. Although from the scratches on their bodies and the dangerous animalistic looks on their faces, the word 'men' could be used loosely.

After a few agonizing seconds of just standing there in frozen uncomfortable silence, one of them spoke. Amelia immediately recognized him as the beta because of his commanding tone. He was one of the more humane and cleaner looking men which meant he must have arrived recently.

He put on the shorts that had been tied to his wolf's leg and walked towards her as the other men put on their clothes, following his lead.

The sound of branches breaking under his feet sent ripples of fear through Amelia's body. She didn't know what to expect- she felt her life hanging by a thin thread.

The Beta stopped in front of her, he looked her up and down once and then he started laughing. His laughter resembled howls and he laughed so hard he fell on the ground in hysterics, hitting it like someone had just told him the world's funniest joke.

Amelia- an opportunist by nature- took this as her chance to slowly slip out but immediately halted when she caught the beta's eye.

He wiped a tear and wheezed "this... this girl?" before he fell back into a frenzy of laughter.

"I can't believe you were outsmarted by this silver moon mutt, this is embarrassing!" Amelia decided then and there that this man's laughter was not indeed like howls but more of what she imagined someone covered in burning acid would sound like.

After making fun of Amelia and his underlings to his heart's content, the Beta got up, ordered two of the men to grab her by both her sides and they started walking north.

"Where do you think you're taking me?!" Amelia hissed as she struggled to try and get out of their grip.

"You know, little girl?" the Beta started "I don't know if you're a stupid one or a brave one."

"How about the one you let free? Just to shake things up a bit," She tried.

"After the trouble you put my men through? One of them recognized you as the beta's daughter and assumed you'd come out if you thought a pack member was in danger. HA, the last thing I'd ever expect out of a silver moon. I'll assume you were running away even further but have an extremely inferior sense of direction."

"You know who I am, which means you've been watching us for a while now." Amelia's eyes widened.

"Try longer than a while, maybe after we take over your land, we can give the wolves we don't slaughter a couple tips on how to spot intruders. It starts with using these astonishing things called the eyes."

"Really? I might have to dis attach yours to have a closer look," Amelia growled.

This seemed to have caught the Beta's attention because he stopped walking. You really didn't mess with an Alpha's or Beta's authority. He looked Amelia right in the eye and gave her a sinister smile "looks like this one has a tongue on her, be careful little girl, it won't do you any good where we're going."

"And where is that?" Amelia asked hoping she would get some sort of an answer but alas the Beta was done amusing her with conversation and he knew keeping their victims in suspense made their hearts beat quicker and concentrated the smell of crippling fear. And that was his favorite scent.

They walked and walked until Amelia was far off her pack's territory. She had continued to pry and ask her captors more questions but the Beta glared at them when any one attempted to answer. So, frustrated by the deadly silence she began throwing insults left and right.

She told them they probably only had a little time before whoever let their zoo cages open came looking for them. She then continued to proclaim the only reason she had climbed down the tree to help was because the man's screams sounded like a thirteen year old girl's. She told the Beta he had an ugly face. She told them if the reason they were all so silent was because they were insecure about their squeaky voices, she understood because puberty could fix it-if they weren't already grandpas.

Judging from the eye twitches and fist clenching, the last one looked like it got to them, their glares burned holes in her head. One of them even made an effort to trip her a couple of times, giving her some nasty cuts- ah the consequences of her inability to stay quiet.

At last, the Beta had enough and told her if she spoke one more word from her wretched mouth he would give her a squeaky voice. Amelia didn't quite know what that meant but she assumed it involved a lot of punching so she decided to shut up. After all, she always told everyone her face was one of her winning qualities- whether they agreed or not was debatable.

Amelia knew they had reached the enemy pack's borders when she saw a line of guards standing by. Each one bigger and tougher looking than the one before. She was relieved because she had felt like she was going to collapse any second, having to go so far without food or water.

The Kidnappers had tried to feed her some water but she spat it in their faces. What could you do? She knew how to hold a grudge.

She had tried to memorize the route they took for when she escaped. The Kidnappers hadn't bothered blindfolding her because the Beta said since she was a silver moon, she would probably forget how to use her legs and slow them down.

She'd let him reevaluate how well she could use her legs when she was kicking him in the face.

She was taken into the territory and as much as she hated to admit it, she was speechless. The land and forest seemed endless, the lakes were vast with crystal clear water and the pack houses were built beautifully with large windows and grand doors.

How much money did these wolves have?

Large windows make you more susceptible to attacks, pack houses built in large open spaces made you easy to find and making a habit of regularly trespassing through foreign packs made you quite unlikeable.

How these wolves were still alive was an enigma to her. But she didn't have time to ponder because soon enough she was being taken underground to the dungeons

The smell of death, which could be described as rotting flesh with a hint of urine, greeted her nose as the guards forced her into the dungeon. She walked across a narrow, dark, endless corridor. There were cells on both her sides and each one held a petrifying criminal.

Some hooted when she walked by, others stayed silent, sitting bloodied and bruised in the corners of their cells and for the first time today, Amelia wanted to cry.

She hadn't cried when she was being chased down by werewolves, she hadn't cried when she was being forced out of her home by these monsters, not when she walked a million miles hungry and confused, she hadn't even cried when she felt like her arm's blood circulation would stop any second because of the heavy grip locked down on it- keeping her from escaping.

But walking down a hallway filled with what felt like psychopathic killers, blood smudging their faces, sadistic smiles plastered on, looking like they had been there for ages was a reality check.

What if this was her life now? What if there was no escape? What would her family think happened to her? Her stomach dropped once again. This couldn't be the end. She had never thought about dying but she knew it would have been easier than living in here.

She had been so consumed in her thoughts that she hadn't realized they had reached her designated cell. She hadn't brought her cell phone with her because she didn't want to accidentally drop it somewhere and she never considered ever being in danger. Nothing ever happened in her little pack. The border patrol was just a formality. They were boring. They minded their own business. No one bothered them.

She now realized, they had not been living peacefully but rather ignorantly.

After being searched for any dangerous items, she was roughly thrown in and the barred door was slammed shut. "The Alpha will decide what happens to you, don't worry, you won't have to say here for long." one of the guards said with a cruel smile before he left.

Alpha? She didn't want to meet him, the idea of him was enough to both anger and scare her. "I hate his bloody pack and I hate him!" She yelled.
But like they say - speak of the Devil and he shall appear. And boy, did he know how to make an entrance.
