Amelia the explorer

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS! Also I changed my cover again but this is the last time, I promise. How do you like it?

Another hole opened on the surface of Hell's ground and a very ruffled Amelia was tossed out of it, her hands burning once again as she fell onto the ground.

She stood back up in a heart beat, discarding her burns and immediately examined her surroundings. The forest was no where to be seen.

It was a relief because that meant she was far away from where she last saw Lucifer and the Princes but slightly nerve wrecking as she had no clue as to where she was now.

The sky was now once again a violent Ruby red colour, not the calming lavenders she had seen near Lilith's cottage. The ground was rocky, making it difficult to walk and there were a few volcanoes a large distance away but on the bright side it looked like there was nobody around her.

She figured she should quickly move along before that changed so she pointed the stone she was holding and started to slowly rotate three sixty degrees until it was glowing. Then she walked straight- following its lead.

She walked and walked for ages, taking very short breaks in the middle to only catch her breath. Her werewolf heritage allowed her to go much longer without food and water compared to humans but she was already in the habit of eating so often that her stomach was sending her cries for help.

It was grumbling extremely loudly while making the oddest sounds but what she wanted more than dear life right now was some water.

"Toughen up! That Spanish girl with the map on TV did this everyday!" She exclaimed loudly as she patted her stomach only to be answered by more growling.

But as she looked at the barren lands around and the more fiery volcanoes the stone was guiding her too, Amelia figured not Lucifer nor any creature in this deranged prison was going to kill her, it was going to be the dehydration and the hunger.

Although she kept on walking at a fast pace as she knew the only bigger target than an undead mortal walking through Hell was an undead mortal carrying a glowing light and making loud grumbling noises for everyone to see and hear.

That was until she heard it. No it was not the screeches nor the cries for help she had become so accustomed to hearing here- it was loveliest sound in the universe.

It sounded like a waterfall.

She followed the sound skeptically and it lead her to one of the many caves around her. She would've ignored it but she really needed some water, if not now then later. And she was not willing to miss the opportunity, what if it never came again?

The stone stopped glowing as she was now going in the wrong direction which made it easier for her to discreetly tiptoe further into the dark cave as the sound of the water falling grew louder and louder.

She followed it religiously, letting it guide her through the dark until she entered a second cave.

And there it was. In all its glory. The walls of the cave had hundreds of small waterfalls leaking through them, the water was falling into a massive pond located in the middle. There were small sparkling beads on the walls of the cave, illuminating it.

She could not believe it. It was too good to be true so she turned around and started taking big leaps to run away.

But it was too late. In a second she heard the loud gushing of water and what she saw startled her. It was a green, beady eyed, scaly creature that was slimy skinned with webbed hands and feet and it looked angry.

"How dare you walk into my Home without an invitation?" It screamed with a croaky voice as it looked straight at Amelia, expecting an answer, "Do you have anything to say for yourself before I decide to kill you?"

"Ha ha..m-my friend's diary did say I have boundary issues." Amelia tried.
