I woke up from my unconsciousness. It took me some minutes to sit and study my environment, I blinked my eyes for the twelfth time. I felt hot and sick,  the sun kept kissing my face, I turned to the left to see tents and horses set on a sandy environment, sand in which I sat on was hot and burnt my skin. There were scarcity of plant and trees and then I realised...

Shit! I was in the desert.

I looked at my hands to see it was chained to my neck and the hand chains were also chained to my legs. I was definitely a slave to them. My eyes searched in fear carefully to see I wasn't the only living being here.

They were 3 more human beings, no I was mistaken. They were also vampires captured into slavery.

"Get the hell out of here bitch." I heard Leo shout as he threw a little girl out his tent.

The little girl fell on me and held me out of fear. At that moment, I felt blood dropping from her neck.

He drank from her. How cruel could he be?

"Slave princess, you're finally awake." He mocked.
"You slept for 2 days straight, I hope you were able to adjust to this reality." He spoke once again and entered his tent.

Stupid vampire.

I looked at the little girl, from the age of 7 to 8 years in my arms who smiled at me with warm eyes.
When I saw her two sharp teeth, I pushed her away quickly.

Disgusting.

She looked at me with a saddened expression.

"Why such look? Ain't you a vampire?" I questioned in disgust.

"Yes I am." She replied calmly with a cute voice.

"Good, stay the shit away from me." I told her and shifted backwards.

She stared at me with teary eyes and fear, she moved back a little bit and smiled at me.
On crawling backwards she accidentally hit a female vampire.

Out of anger she slapped the child with her sharp claws, creating a deep scratch on the little child face.

That's such a wicked act.
Why are they also furious to their own being?
I stared in shock as the child flew opposite them.

"Didn't I tell you not to come close to me you punk?" She questioned in anger.

It wasn't the child's fault.

"I'm so sorry. I was staying away from the human," the little girl explained holding her bleeding cheek in pain.

"Stupid child." A male vampire spoke in irritation.

I studied the 3 vampires quite well to note that they were 2 female and a male.

The first female had a blond hair. The second female had a black hair and the male had a brown hair.

"Besides we are thirsty. Come lets drink from you pest." The vampire with black hair spoke with hungry and wicked eyes charging towards her.

I got up and tried to run towards the little girl but fell because of the chain. So I quickly crawled towards the girl and pushed the vampire girl off her and immediately crawled away with the little girl.

"Who the bastard are you, to take my meal away from me?" The black haired female vampire questioned angrily.

"First beast, it wasn't her fault, stay away from her." I spoke covering the little girl away from them.

"You're a human, we'll feast on you delightfully." The male vampire spoke with red eyes.

"Just leave her alone." I tried to warned them bravely but deep down I was scared.

"You useless human, I don't get why you're still alive, you need to die." The blond vampire spoke angrily as she change towards me.

Before she could devour me, someone used a long iron rod to base ball her away.

When I looked right. I saw it was David, the second in command staring at those vampires with red eyes.

"Didn't I tell you not to touch her?" He questioned as he raised the iron rod to hit them but they moved back in fear.

"Touch her you die." He threatened.

He then turned to face me with a soft look I didn't understand. He squatted to my kneeling height and asked.

"You okay?"

I didn't reply I just crawled away from him and the young girl then sat on my own.

Stupid leeches.
I can't believe I risk my life for that vampire.

I closed my eyes to see how my family died in front of me and I dared to save one of my enemies.

I felt disgusted right now.

I covered my face with my palms and wept. I feel useless now without anyone of them. I want to die.
I want to be with them.

It was night already, we were giving food to eat and water to drink. I stared at the food in disgust.

They served me meat covered in blood.
How wicked can they be? Do they think, I'm their wicked kind.
I just stared at it without uttering a word.

"Slave princess. Won't you eat your meal?" He asked in delight but I didn't reply.

"Eat that flesh right now." He order wickedly.

"General Leo, she's human, she can't eat such food. I suggest you give her something else." David spoke on my behalf.

"Shut up idiot. I didn't ask you for your stupid suggestion."
"Eat it human." He ordered once again but I kept deaf ears.

Leo walked up to me, held my hair roughly as he tried to force the animal flesh into my mouth, I folded my mouth and didn't let it get in.

"Stupid human." He Insulted, threw the meat back on the plate and slapped my head with the blood on his hands.

How cruel?

David squatted down and handed me a cup of water.

"If you can't eat, why don't you at least drink water," he said nicely.

I just stared at him angrily, look at him being nice, one day they feast on you like a worthless meal.

"You haven't eaten anything for 3 days straight at least drink a cup of water." He tried to persuade me.

I won't eat nor drink anything from them, they are all devils.

I hissed and crawled away from him.
I just want to be alone.

David sighed, dropped the cup of water and walked back into his tent with a worried expression.

The little girl kept staring at my plate with hungry eyes.
What a shame?

"Take it." I told her.

"Are you really sure?" She questioned in fear.

"What did you expect me to do with it? Eat that disgusting thing." I replied in irritation.

She smiled at me ,crawled towards my plate and ate the flesh with delight then drank my water.

"Thanks so much for now and standing for me this afternoon." She appreciated with a sincere smile.

"It wasn't a favour child, I got you into trouble that's why I did such." I replied nonchalantly.

I was expecting a sad face but she kept smiling.

"Okay but it still counts princess." She answered calling the name princess with admiration.
"My name is Nora and you're princess?"

"Don't disturb me and go to sleep." I told her rudely.

Her happy expression turned to a saddened one.
"Okay you should also rest too." She told me, laid on the floor and slept off.

I moved my gaze to the other vampires but they were fast asleep.
What stupid vampires?

I'm saying awake all night to keep watch on wild and brutal animals.
No one is awake to do so.

It was midnight already and I could hear growling, an unfriendly growling.
Then a smell hit my nose. Every living being can notice that smell. It's an annoying smell of bad and wicked creature.
The rogues.

They are beast in which the werewolves are against.

Immediately they surrounded the vampires territory. It seems like they were after the slaves vampires and I. I could easily spot their white eyes through the thick dark bushes.

I immediately got up, crawled up to Nora and woke her up.
She woke up in fear and was staring at me.

"Get help." I told her and grabbed the guards rod knife.

I threw a rod to her hoping she'll protect herself while I held mine.

The hungry beast charge towards me as I used the iron knife and pierce it into to its forehead and jumped over it.

1 down 4 more to go. I used the sharp edge and cut off the chains off my legs and hands.

I attacked the rogue one by one. I turned around as the last rogue was running towards Nora to devour her but out of fear I ran towards her, held her in my arms using my body to protect her.

I'm going to die but I didn't, Instead I heard a loud thud on the ground when I opened my eyes I saw the beast was almost sliced into two with a sword. When I looked up I saw it was David.

Why would he save me and the little child?

"Please try to keep yourself save." He told me and went back to his tent.

I placed my attention back on Nora.

"You okay?"

"Yes. All because of you I'm alive, I like you so much." She told me hugging me in the process.

"I don't know why I keep saving your ass but I hope It's the right thing." I told her.
"I'm Erica, Nora." I introduced.

"Wow beautiful name."

"I appreciate." I replied as I noticed those 3 vampires were already eaten by the rogues.

Leo came out with a smile. "I guess this land is for the survival of the fittest,"  he said proudly.

What a dork?

"Lets head for the Eternal Kingdom, It's just up ahead. Our Majesty awaits us." Leo added as they dragged Nora and I to follow them.
