We Begin our story in wano.

We can see two fishman exploring in old wano looking for any sort of treasures they can steal.

Fishman 1: I'm telling you, I can smell it! There's gold down here and we are going to find it!

Fishman 2: All right man... Just don't say I didn't warn you when we find nothing.

The two fishmen searched for hours until they eventually found a air pocket. The two swam into the air pocket which led to a mysterious room.

Despite being literally underwater, the room was dry of any liquid. As if it had been sitting in the middle of a desert for a thousand years.

The two fishmen eventually discovered that this was a vault, but not just any vault. As it was locked with the most unique of locks.

Fishman 2: I think I figured out the puzzle, look at the top of the door, There's a hole! And the door appears to be some sort of maze... Go get me some of the water from over there!

The fishman then pointed to where they came from.

Fishman 1: Alrighty...

The fishman then went and collected some water. He then gave it to the other fishman who then put it at the top of the door.

Suddenly gears started to turn as the water trickled down the door and into a hole at the very bottom. Within seconds the door then sprang open, revealing that the inside was a vault filled with riches and treasures that had been flooded long ago.

Inside of the fault was treasures of all kinds. Gold, diamonds, berries, weapons and more. At the very end of the room though, was a single soaked skeletal corpse adorned in a torn white and black kimono. However it was what the corpse was covered in that interested the fishmen.

The the skeletal corpse had 21 different swords stabbing it. The swords were stabbing through the corpse and into the ground, but that was not the only thing holding the skeleton like corpse in place as we see 20 chains holding the dead body down. Each chain made of a different metal with different engravings on them.

There was three swords stabbing through its right arm, three through it's left, three through each of its right and left forearms, for going through its chest, one in each foot, one in each knee and finally one giant sword going right through its skull. The interesting thing what's the fact that all of the swords except for the one going in the skull, had blades made of sea Stone.

The fishmen were confused, what did this man do to warrant all of these swords embedded in his body?

One by one, the fishmen took the swords out of the dead body and removed the chains. Until the only thing keeping the corpse nailed to the floor was the blade and its skull...

But as the fishmen grabbed the sword to pull it out. Something was happening outside.

Outside of old wano, the wind picked up harshly, tornadoes and hurricanes started to form out of nowhere. What was once a pretty sunny day without any clouds in the sky. Had now transformed into a terrifying mass of swirling tornadoes and ginormous hurricanes.

Even outside of wano wasn't safe from hurricanes. The ocean itself was lifted by these tornadoes, ginormous whirlpools formed and drowned anything near. Entire ships and fleets were dragged down to the watery depths below.

Back inside of old wano, the two fishmen had almost finally finished pulling out the ginormous odachi sword from the man's skull. Once the two had finished pulling out the sword, they realize that the blade emitted a calm breeze...

And outside, the hurricanes and tornadoes had stopped completely. It was as if they had never even formed...

As the two fishmen stared at the blade, they had failed to realize something was happening behind them... In an instant, both of the fishmen were karate chopped in the neck and sent flying into the walls. As a mysterious and gravely voice then spoke.

???: Ple... ase ke.... ep your.... h.... ands to you.... rselves... Ace.... lonio... us..... Doe........ sn't lik.... e to be to...... uched.... By......... The
............. We...... ak......

The fishmen then looked at the person who had just sent them flying into the walls of the room. His skin was sunken in and a pale shade of yellow, his eyes were missing and cobwebs were inside his mouth and eye sockets, only a few strands of old gray hair remained on his head, one of the bones of his left arm was completely broken off and was just barely hanging on, his clothes were torn and shredded as a ginormous crack was in the middle of his skull.

However, in mere seconds the man seemingly became more and more alive. His skin became less sunken in and less pale and less yellow, the cobwebs in his mouth fell out, his left eye somehow appeared in his eye socket, his hair started to grow back as it became a much wider color instead of just a faded Gray, the bones on his left arm started to place themselves back together, his clothes seemingly fixed themselves and the crack in his skull started to grow smaller and smaller.

The man then spoke once more...

???: Enjoy...... The.......... Treasures..........

He then started to walk towards the exit of the vault, but before he closed the vault. locking the Fishmen inside, one of the fishmen asked him a question.

Fishmen 1: Who are y-you?

The man seemingly ignored the humanoid fish as he then exited the fault and closed the door, which then locked itself for all of eternity.

Now the man was completely restored and showed no traces of even looking hurt.

???: So you wish to know my name?

The man then walked towards a pile of boulders and instantly smashed them into dust with his fist. He then walked up a long staircase which somehow Led to a cliff above old wano yet underneath new wano.

The man then screamed to the world.

Nereus: I AM NEREUS P. ATLANTIS, MASTER OF PLUTON, AND THE LEGENDARY GOD OF THE SEAS!

Nereus then held his sword to the skies as a tornado then appeared around his legs, allowing him to fly away from wano and towards the "weakest sea"

Meanwhile.....

At the very top of the world we see the five elders sitting in their chairs as they suddenly feel a chilling ancient breeze.

Saturn: so... He finally returns?

???: Indeed, it seems like even after all of our precautions... He was somehow able to escape.

???: Where do you think he'll be headed?

???: He's definitely headed towards where he was defeated all those years ago.

???: Indeed, Saturn, what do you suppose we do?

Saturn: we do nothing, the Great Imu is the one who decides what happens...

Meanwhile, in the empty throne...

We see a cloaked figure staring at a cracked compass. Instead of the directions, north, south, east and west. The compass has four letters on each direction instead. P, D, M and N.

The cloaked figure stares at the crack in the middle of the compass and remembers the past...

A lone tear hits the ground as the compass is shattered.
