Pete POV

“So she’s the princess of snakes. Interesting where did you find her?” My father asked sitting back in his seat putting his feet up on his desk. So I dragged a blue beanbag we took from the human world and slouched in it staring up at the ceiling. Silvana is so different to other girls I’ve met. Most girls fall for my charms because they think I’m dangerous, but those types of girls don’t interest me. Silvana, if she likes me has a very good way of hiding it. We do have our moments but then she goes cold and pushes me away. But I take that as a challenge. At all honesty I really do love… like her I’ve never felt this way before.

“She saved me from being taken from King Leo’s guards.” I responded remembering that day I first glanced at her. She gave me a deadly look but then she threw the rock at the guard’s head.

“Where have you been staying these past few days?”

“Her family’s house, the crocodile man is there.” I said and my father stiffened.

“Why?”

“From what I’ve heard her parents are trying to get them together. Trying but failing.” She’ll never go for a spoiled moron like what’s his name.

“Pete I want you to come back here, we’ve already had our problems with the crocodile king we don’t need those happening again.” But I can’t leave her. I can’t let what’s his name force her into the marriage. No I want her; I will stay with her and protect her. Silvana is tough I admit but Vronderos is vicious just like his father. The last time I dealt with the crocodiles I lost a mother.

“We lost Elena because of him dad.” I responded and he gave me a pained look. “I don’t want to lose her to.”

“There’s nothing we can do son, if he’s to choose her as a wife it I her decision on whether she accepts or not.”

“Now wait a minute you abducted mother so you could marry her. Why can’t I just do that?” I questioned, I am not really going to do it but it can be a back up plan. My grinned probably rewinding those good old memories in his head.

“That is different, we were in love and she didn’t want to marry the king of crocodiles. She let me take her by choice, Silvana may want to stay.” Why? Why does he have to be right?

“But father Silvana doesn’t like the crocodile king’s son, mother died because she didn’t accept his proposal! What will they do to Silvana if she refuses think about it. If I stay and keep him away from her I’d be saving her life.” I insisted convinced by the fact that she hates Vronderos’s guts; she would never fall for him especially if she hears about his past.

“Pete I understand you have feelings for this girl but you getting involved in this marriage business may get her killed and more importantly you. You’re all I’ve got left so you’re staying here and we will leave this place tomorrow. You’ll just have to forget about her.” He said with true sympathy and how I want to get mad I know I’ll never get to him. So I’m just going to have to make my own plans.

“Alright father.” I said and he gave me this surprised look.

“No argument, that’s it.” He asked suspicious and I just smiled at him.

“Father you know I respect your opinion.” I said trying to sound casual but I can tell he’s not falling for it. I think it’s time to see how Silvana’s going. We’ve left her with the crew for too long. I stood up and nodded at my father and he nodded back sighing and standing up then I heard someone scream on deck. “Silvana!” I shouted and both my dad and I ran through the door out on deck and saw Silvana glaring at one of the men in my crew. Marvin. What's he done now?

"Silvana? What's wrong? Why did you scream?" I asked her and she stared at me her long sharp fangs pointed out.

"I didnt scream." She glared at Marvin again who stood there tyring to seem calm but I can see the fear in his eyes. "I suggest you keep your hands to yourself Marvin before you lose them." She growled. I'll kill him.
