"Oh Silvana! I have news!" My mother yelled excitedly.

"Let me guess we're inviting the Rat lord for dinner!" I said sarcastically, my mother was not amused. So I shut my mouth and gestured her to speak.

"We are going to have a ball!" She squealed in delight.

"What in heavens name for?" I probed. My mother rolled her eyes at me.

"We’re going to celebrate the arrival of Lord Fotheros." But he arrived yesterday we're a day late. I wanted to say something but I was afraid whatever came out of my mouth would spoil my mother's mood. She took hold of my hands and looked me up and down.

"We’re going to get you all dressed up and looking absolutely gorgeous." She said with a huge smile on her face. She looked a little too excited; I managed to give her a little grimace but still wasn't sure. She forced me to my room and she went through my dresses and gowns.

"Mother, when is this ball?" I questioned sitting on the bed holding the bed post. She whipped round laying some fancy dresses next to me.

"Tonight. We sent the invitations two days ago. Everyone is coming!" I was stunned.

"And you’re telling me this now!" I stood up tall. She gave me her cold stare and stepped forward.

"Well you've been busy I have been trying to tell you. But lately you’re either with Vronderos or somewhere unknown." She stated, looking stern.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked starting to feel the blood rushing through my veins. I could sense my mother was not too carefree either.

"No time to discuss this Silvana, I'll tell Daisy to help you choose a gown for tonight. Everyone will arrive at 7 o'clock." She settled and walked out of the room, a storm following her. What was that all about?
