(Sorry for the long wait, unexpected life events kinda put me on hold with Equinox for a bit.Hope ya'll can understand. (Volume 2) Chapter 8: A dog-astrophe(g-get it cause it's like CATastrophe but it's like a dog instead of a cat- you know what-- why do I even bother?)/Gaining Control?/ A Mysterious Girl

SO! After the dance and you and Yang proceeded to go to your dorm for uh...stuff. It turns out your younger siblings had other ideas, ideas that involved trying to take down a supposed powerful woman within Beacon. So before you and Yang could actually do anything, both Jack and Ruby just burst into the room yelling that they needed you both. Blake and Weiss are behind them as well. Neither of you expecting this nearly had a heart attack when they just happened to burst in. Your fear of a heart attack seems to be a much more real threat when you see the fact that Jack is severely wounded and covered in blood.

You:"Whoa, calm down. Tell me what happened from the beginning." You say while getting up from your bed, Yang also doing the same as she walks over beside you. Your all looking at Jack, he seems to be in really bad shape. Out of breath and struggling to stand up, Ruby's helping him up by supporting his weight.

Jack:"W-well, both Ruby and I were both getting tired of dancing so we headed out for a while and saw the woman we were talking about."

Ruby:"Yeah! We followed after her and saw some guards that were unconscious and stuff so we had our guard up and all when we went after her."

You:"Wait, hold up, you guys knew this girl was powerful but you didn't call us!?"

Jack:"Well we were planning to, but we figured it would take too much time." You sigh angrily

You:"It takes maybe 10 seconds to send us a message Jack! You guys should've just waited for us! Now look at what's happened!" Jack holds his side, you didn't notice this 'till now somehow but his side has a VERY deep cut within it. You look at your brother worried.

Jack:"I-I know I wasn't thinking, I'm sorry..." Jack nearly falls over from exhaustion before Yang runs over and grabs him and also supports his weight.

Yang:"Oh my God Jack! We need to get you to a hospital!"

Jack:"Ugh! Everyone's saying that but I feel fine! I'll go later but for now just listen!"

You:"Hurry so we can get you patched up!"

Jack:"The thing is that when I fought her...she mentioned you."

You:"What?"

Jack:"After she stabbed me she just whispered something about the Equinox."

Yang:"Equinox?" The gang looks at you "What's that?" Gah this is NOT how you expected this night to go...

You:"I'll talk about that later. Jack, what'd she say about me?"

Jack:"Something about keeping me alive until you 'finally ascend'? I don't know but afterwards General Ironwood came up and all of a sudden she was gone."

You:"Ascend?" You're reminded of Caedis's words back at the training session

Caedis(Flashback):"Let's just say Izunia and the others are...very different compared to me."

You(Flashback):"How so?"

Caedis(Flashback):"I'm the only one who's ascended."

You(Flashback):"...Ascended?"

Caedis(Flashback):"Like you."

You(Flashback):"Like me, what-?"

Jack:"Weird right? I know that it has to have meant something to you." You look down, thinking to yourself

You:"It does, but you should've just gone to a hospital in the first place you idiot!" You yell

Jack:"I know but- I just needed to get that out as soon as I could." You sigh as you and the rest of the team help Jack to the nurse.

(4 AM)

You and Yang are both sleeping in your bed tonight and you can't sleep at all, you can tell Yang is also dealing with that as she isn't snoring loudly like she usually does. Now that you think about it, no one in the room seems to have gotten any sleep, Ruby's sleeping by herself as Jack needed to stay over in the E.R since the doctor treating him said his injuries were seemingly much worse than it actually seemed, you all don't know the full damage of the outcome yet, but Jack waiting to go to tell you of this woman who APPARENTLY knows your the Equinox didn't help him in the slightest. So you KNOW Ruby isn't sleeping due to how much she loves that boy. Even Blake and Weiss don't seem like they're sleeping, something just feels off in the air in the room, possibly because Jack mentioned that you were the Equinox. Something the team doesn't know but is going to seem VERY important considering how Jack got horribly injured but was left alive over you being the Equinox.

Yang:"(F)..." You open your eyes to see Yang staring into yours.

You:"Yeah?"

Yang:"This is not how I imagined this night to end up." You both laugh slightly before your smiles turn to worriedness.

You:"I'm worried about Jack. It's driving me nuts that I couldn't be there to help him and stop any of this from happening to him."

Yang:"I know, I'd be just as anxious if it were Ruby staying the night in intensive care...But he's going to be fine, alright?" You nod slightly, not fully believing it but making sure that Yang couldn't tell that from your expression.

You:"Who could that woman even be...?"

Yang:"Well Ruby said afterwards that she was a brunette, her clothes lit up when she attacked and fought with glass. Know anyone like that?" 

You:"Well that woman on the airship with Torchwick during the night when I met Ruby. But she didn't fight with glass so I guess she can't be the same woman I'm thinking of..."

Yang:"Well, we'll find out, from what she said to Jack...it doesn't seem like this'll be the last time that we'll see her." You nod as you feel from the atmosphere in the room that your team is just...worried, you especially with Jack seemingly out of commission. "Let's just try to get some sleep...well if we can." You nod as Yang places her arms around you as you bury your head into her shoulder. Trembling slightly.

(Early Morning)

With getting absolutely no sleep, you're quite on edge, Jack was discharged from the hospital and he and Ruby went to go have a 'discussion' with Professor Ozpin, Goodwitch, and General Ironwood. So you are all waiting VERY anxiously by the door. You all see the door knob of the room start to turn as you all bolt towards the door as they open up the door

Yang:"What happened!?!?" Ruby begins to stammer

Ruby(Stammering):"Uh, well umm, ehehe, uh..." She looks around helplessly. You all look over to Jack who has a bunch of bandages wrapped around his torso. Scratches on his face here and there, couple of bruises around his arms, but other than that he seems way better now

You:"How are you feeling, Jack?" 

Jack:"I'll be fine." He says while smiling slightly and holding his bandaged side. They both walk in the room, everyone staring at them as they both try to explain what happened while they were talking to Professor Ozpin.

Weiss:"That was a risky move."

Blake:"No, I think you two handled it well." You scoff

You:"You think my brother nearly getting himself killed is 'handling it well'?

Blake:"No, I meant all things considered they could've easily ignored the woman and her presence may have gone unnoticed, I think they made the right choice, regardless of the outcome."

Jack:"I agree!" You glare at Jack as Jack turtles up and looks down.

Ruby:"Well I hope we did make the right choice..." Yang has her hand on Ruby's shoulder and you ruffle Jack's hair as you smile

You:"I'm just glad you both seem okay."

Yang:"I'm sure everything will be alright. Oh I know what will cheer you up!" Yang picks up a cylinder like package from a table in the room.

Ruby:"What's that?"

Yang:"I don't know yet. Dad sent it to us. I thought we could open it together!"

Jack:"I..." Jack's heightened senses seem to be going off as he stops and looks at the package with wide confused eyes"Is...that what I think it is?"

Ruby(High-Pitched):"Oh! Something from home!" Ruby bolts over to Yang and tries to reach for the package, but is just flailing her arms around due to her with her tiny arms. You smile and the whatever that was inside the package falls out and...it's just a...furry cylinder of meat? What type of exotic food is this?

You:"Well this is some messed up food..." The hairy cylinder thing that came out of the package turns into a Corgi............You along with all of team RWBY lean in and look at it. It barks twice and Jack, Yang, and Ruby jump into the air with joy as you, Weiss, and Blake jump back in surprise.

Ruby:"Zwei!!!" She says while in mid-air.

Blake:"He sent a dog!?!"

Weiss:"In the Mail!?!"

You:"Well for some reason I don't think that's entirely ya know...LEGAL!?" Jack and Ruby are paying no attention whatsoever as Ruby has it in her arms as it licks her and Jack is giving it relentless belly rubs and it starts licking Jack as well.

Yang:"Oh he does stuff like this all the time." You glance over at Blake and see she's up on the top bunk of your bed trying to stay away from him.

Blake:"Your father or your dog?" You feel like it's a bit of both. Weiss leans in at Zwei looking angered...uh-oh.

Weiss:"Are you telling me that this mangy...drooling...mutt is going to wiv wif us foweva!?" You expected a rather angry response but...apparently not. "Oh yes he is, oh yes he is! Oh, isn't he adorable!" She begins to play with Zwei

Blake:"Please keep it away from my belongings." She says as you notice that she's on the opposite side of the bed, trying to keep it as far away from her as she can. 

Glynda(P.A):"Will all first-year students please report to the amphitheater." Ruby sets Zwei down who run over to the base of the Bunk bed where Blake is, Blake gets up defensively in a cat-like stance. He begins sniffing as he sees the dog treats supporting the bed- OH NO!

You:"ZWEI NO!" Zwei leaps up in pure joy as everything seems to be going in slow motion as horror fills both you and Jack's faces as the Corgi of Destruction bolts over with mouth open wide straight into one of the pillars of dog treats supporting the bed. Immediately the bed collapses in a spectacular fashion as dog treats fly across the room hitting everyone in the room and you all fall back. Blake is now currently running away from Zwei who seems to be holding an incredible amount of dog treats in his mouth who is chasing after her. You look over at Jack who looks like he just came back from the Great War, he slowly walks over to the mess heap that is now your beds and falls to his knees, tears fill his eyes dramatically 

Jack:"N-no....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He slams his fists against the ground as waterfalls of tears pour from his face. "WHY!? WHAT KIND OF CRUEL WORLD DO WE LIVE IN!?" DRAMATIC GASP "WHERE ALL THINGS THAT ARE INNOCENT IS STRIPPED AWAY FROM US!?!?!?!" You place a hand on his shoulder as you both mourn this terrible tragedy. The rest of the team is staring at you guys, genuinely concerned about your mental health.

Weiss:"Weeeellll, uh...we can't exactly leave him here while we're gone for the week." Yang reaches inside the package and takes out a letter

Yang:"Look there's a letter." she begins reading the letter "Dear girls, I've got to leave the island for a few days, so I'm sending Zwei to you to take care of. Enclosed is all the food you should need. Love you both, Taiyang." Zwei runs over to Yang's feet after reading it which Yang did not see as Yang flips the package over and dozens of cans pour out of it piling on top of Zwei, welp Zwei's dead. Oh wait no, he popped his lil' head out now.

Weiss:"What is he supposed to do with that?" A final can opener comes out of the package, which bounces off of Zwei's head.

Yang:"Well, that settles it it, come on guys, Zwei will be here when we get back." Yang walks out of the room "C'mon on (F)!" You look over at Zwei worried, eh...he'll be fine. Just like the fish you always left unattended in your childhood...mom always said he 'ran away' after forgetting to feed him for a week...though you always wondered where he ran off too, oh well, you shall always be missed Mr. Bubbles.

You:"Wait up then!" You begin walking out of the room as Weiss begins talking in a baby-like voice.

Weiss:"Oh, I'll miss you so much, we're going to be best friends, I can't wait to see you, I can't believe how cute you are." talking begins to turn into incomprehensible baby talk as you both leave the room.

(Later)

Well after a short wait from Ruby and Jack --with both of them equally seemingly acting suspicious for some reason, you now are all in the Amphitheater. Waiting for Ozpin and Goodwitch to do some big dramatic speech on how not to die or somethin'.

Glynda:"Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin." She walks away from the mic as Ozpin begins to speak.

Ozpin:"Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity. Through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best." As Ozpin steps away you all applaud the amazing speech he said. Wow surprisingly VERY inspirational, huh.

Ruby: "...This is perfect! All we have to do is shadow a Huntsman working in the southeast!"

Yang: "Yeah! We'll follow them around by day and give them the slip by night!" This isn't well thought out.

You:"...Right...like a trained, experienced Huntsman will let us 'give them the slip' so easily honey." She sticks her tongue out playfully at you.

 Weiss:"Well as always we'll figure something out. Let's check 'Search and Destroy'." You shrug at this plan but it's the best one you've all got. You and the rest of Team RWBY approach a hologram and see there are plenty of missions to choose from ranging from Village Security to Junior Detectives...you glance over at Jack to see he is absolutely infatuated with the idea of being a Junior Detective.

Jack:"AWW! I WANNA BE A JUNIOR DETECTIVE!"

Blake:"But we basically already are detectives aren't we?"

Jack:"But I don't get to wear a cool badge!!!" Ruby covers Jack's mouth while still looking on the board.

Ruby:"Ssssh, I'll buy you a badge later sweetie." Jack sighs and places his head on Ruby's shoulder. "Anyways, here we go!" She points at the board "Quadrant 5 needs Grimm cleared out."

Blake:"Well it's in the Southeast."

Yang:"Sounds perfect!" 

You:"Seems oddly convenient."

Blake:"Let's just be glad that we have this opportunity." She does have a point. As Ruby goes to type in the team name, you begin to look down, though you've been done with helping the White Fang, your father, and Torchwick. Something tells you that this mission's gonna mess with you if Neo or your father show up. You shudder at just what'll happen if you do.

Weiss:"Wonderful." Weiss says in an unamused tone. You glance up to see a message popped up on the hologram saying the team's been denied from going on the mission as it's not available to first years.

Blake:"Any other ideas?" You shrug and Ruby turns to you all.

Ruby:"We mail ourselves there." You smile smugly.

You:"Well your dad DID just send us a dog through the mail so that isn't the most outrageous idea I've heard today.

Ozpin:"Well that's one option..." Ozpin who seemingly appeared out of nowhere approaches you with his mug of presumed children tears. "Unfortunately, we determined that the concentration of Grimm was too extreme for first-year students. It seems that particular region is rather popular." You wonder why this mission is even on the hologram if First years can't go on it. "In fact, I have the sneaking suspicion that you six will make your way there no matter which job you choose." You and the rest of Team RWBY is glaring at both Ruby and Jack as Ruby is scratching the back of her head, and Jack is whistling innocently.

Ruby:"Whatever makes you say that?"

Ozpin:"I'm still curious how you all found yourself at the docks last semester. I'm interested to know how you really learned about a 'hideout' in the southeast. And I certainly wonder why witnesses reported seeing robots, rose petals, and lightning bolts in a dance club some time ago."

Ruby:"Uhhhhmmmm...well..." Ruby tries to think of an excuse

Ozpin:"Well I doubt I'll ever find the exact answers I'm looking for. So how about this: instead of waiting for you all to break the rules, why don't we just bend them?" Ozpin then selects a few things on his scroll and the hologram screen makes a noise as the Search and Destroy mission is selected. Seems like you and your team have been officially signed up for it. You look around at your teammates to see that all of them are happy and you look at Ozpin.

Ruby:"We won't let you down. Thank you, professor." You smile as you realize just what a good headmaster Ozpin is, rather lenient on rules unlike Professor Goodwitch.

Ozpin:"Do not thank me for this. Teamwork and persistence have carried you far. But you must understand, the things that await you beyond the protection of the Kingdom will not care. Stay close to your Huntsman at all times, and do exactly as he says. He will be leading you on this mission, and he can have you sent back to Beacon, if he finds your skills to be unsatisfactory. Good luck." Well that wasn't intimidating at all... As he walks away you glance over at one of the other hologram screens to see Team ICRS accepting a mission...or at least it looks like it, the screen seemed to have glitched and for a split second the image of a black queen chess piece appears before disappearing. Odd...

(Later)

As you all walk outside to head towards your airship you are all still dwelling on the last words that were rather ominous from Ozpin...seems like your team is feeling the pressure now.

Yang: "Well, That wasn't exactly uplifting." You whole-heartedly agree.

Blake:"But it's the truth." You also agree with that.

You:"This'll be possibly one of the dangerous things we're gonna do as a team."

Ruby:"Yeah, It's gonna to be tough, but I know we can do it!" You smile as you give her a thumbs up...you see a student running full speed towards a landing airship.

Random Student:"Hey! Team CFVY is back!" You immediately widen your eyes and turn to the ship and see that a bunch of Beacon students begin to gather around to witness the return of Team CFVY...It's been quite a while since they were first deployed on the mission they were on...you hope they were fine. You and the rest of Team RWBY walk up to Velvet as she gets off.

You:"Hey there, Velvet. Good to see that you're all safe and sound" Velvet softly smiles at you

Velvet:"And it's good to see you all again."

Blake: "Velvet? Are you okay?" It's been a while since you've talked to Velvet, you've gotten to know her pretty well after the Cardin incident and she's a good friend of both you and Yang.

Velvet: "I'm fine. I had Yatsuhashi to look out for me." she points her thumb back at Yatsuhashi as he walks away from the ship, damn that dude's ripped, like you're pretty fit but DAMN like hell, you envy those biceps.

Weiss: "Your mission was supposed to end a week ago! What happened?"

Velvet:"Nothing happened. It was just... there were just so many...and" She looks around before leaning in and softly saying "There was someone watching us..." You and the rest of Team RWBY exchange worried glances at each other... could it have been the Amalgamation?

You:"Who...was it?"

Velvet:"We don't know...we didn't notice it at first, but we always had that suspicion that someone was watching us...while I was out on patrol with Yatsuhashi we looked up on one of the old buildings to see some girl watching us." Hold up a girl? Well that scratches him off, who could it be then?

You:"What'd she look like?"

Velvet:"We never saw her face. We only saw she was wearing a white hoodie." Hmm... "After that it felt like a ghost was watching us the entire time, popping up more frequently when we tried going further into the city."

Yang:"Weeeeellll, that ain't creepy at all."

Velvet:"It was terrifying..." You all look at each other worried "Oh, but don't worry. You first-years are just shadowing Huntsmen, so you should be fine."

Yang: "Right..." Yang says with no enthusiasm...

Velvet: "I should go. Be safe, okay?" She waves lightly as she begins to walk back and you wave back.

Ruby:"We can do this. We've never backed down before, and we're not going to start now." You nod at her

Blake: "Right."

Yang:"Though who could that girl be?"

Blake:"Maybe it's that Neo girl?"

You:"No...Neo doesn't do ghost watching. She's very much confrontational if she finds someone trespassing." 

Ruby: "Well against all 6 of us, whoever that girl in white is won't stand a chance! Besides, it won't only be us out there! We'll be fighting alongside a genuine Huntsman!"

You:"Yeah it'll be great to actually see what a Fully trained Huntsman is capable of!"

Yang: "Yeah!"

You look back to see...it's...Doctor Oobleck?!

Oobleck: "Why, hello children! Who's ready to fight for their lives!?" You and the rest of Team RWBY are all shocked...

Weiss:"Professor Oobleck?"

Oobleck:"Yes I'm afraid those bags won't be necessary boys and girls." He continues to walk back and forth with his hands behind his back while speaking rapidly "Seeing how you opted to shadow a Huntsman on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission. I can assure you we will be establishing a single base of operations. Rather we will be traversing several miles of hazardous wasteland, and making camp in any inhabitable locations we may stumble upon. I've packed all of our essentials myself, provided the air course and readied the airship. And!" He points his finger in the air and zooms over to Weiss towering over her "It's Dr. Oobleck. I didn't earn a PhD for FUN thank you very much!" He zooms backwards

Weiss:"Uhhh..." She glances at all of you confused, you shrug as everyone else is just as confused.

Oobleck:"Come now children, according to my schedule we are already 3 minutes behind...schedule!" He zooms into the ship with incredible speed...you need a moment to process all of that information.

Ruby:"Well alright then looks like we're gonna save the world with, Professor Oo--bleck okay yeah when you say it out loud it sounds worse." You all look down disappointed.

Nora:"Save the world!?!?" You all jump a little as you all turn back to see Team JNPR approaching you all "You're going on world-saving missions without us!?!?" Nora seems crushed by this... "I'm hurt and sad! Maybe a little hungry? Though that last one's not your fault though...Ren!" She stares angrily at Ren who simply crosses his arms and looks the other way...you ship them.

Jaune:"Sounds exciting, where are ya going?"

Ruby:"Oh just outside the kingdom."

Nora:"Oh! So are we!"

You:"In the Southeast quadrant?"

Nora:"Graaah! Why do you guys get the most cool, dangerous, and exciting places!"

Pyrrha:"Ren and Nora wanted to shadow a sheriff in a nearby village."

Ren:"We set out tomorrow." Sun and Neptune pop out of nowhere

Neptune:"Then you can party with us tonight. We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detective stuff. We get Junior badges."...Jack seems soooooo jealous.

Jaune/Jack:"Ooohhooohh!" Ruby bites Jack's finger for no reason

Sun:"We normally go to the city with you guys, which means stuff's always exploding and junk."...You find that to be very true. "So we thought this might be a better way to check out the kingdom when it's, y'know, normal?"

Ruby:"Well-"

Oobleck(In the distance):"Four minutes students!" Oobleck exited from the ship before zooming back in. Everyone gives you all a nervous smile

Ruby:"Well, uh, wish us luck!" She says with a thumbs up.

You and the rest of your team walk away and head into the airship. You look out from the airship as Jack is sitting on the floor with his legs hanging out of the airship alongside you as you begin your flight to Quadrant 5.

Yang:"I guess I never thought of you as much of a fighter." Yang says to Oobleck...though it's kind of hard to hear her over the roar of the engines

Oobleck:"I admit, I fancy myself as more of an, intellectual but I can assure you, as a huntsman, I have been through my fair share of tussles." Ruby apparently doesn't understand that word...

Ruby:"Like the mushroom?" Ruby is scratching her head

Blake:"Those are truffles."

Ruby:"Like the sprout?"

Yang:"Those are brussels." You notice that many of the buildings that you are passing by are destroyed.

You:"Tussels are past struggles/battles."

Ruby:"Oohhhh...then why didn't you just say that." Jack sighs

Oobleck:"Besides, given my expertise in the field of history, as well as my dabblings in the art of archaeological surveys, our dear headmaster saw it fit to assign me to this particular assignment."

Weiss:"What does history have to do with this." You notice the buildings everywhere are abandoned and destroyed...you can see a giant mountain coming up...this must be the place you are landing at

Oobleck:"My, what a preposterous question you silly girl! Why, history is the very backbone of our very society! And the liver! And the kidneys too if I were to wager."

Weiss:"And that means...?"

Oobleck:"The Southeast quadrant outside of Vale is home to wild forests and deep caves. But, it is also the locations to one of the kingdom's greatest failures."

Ruby:"Mountain Glenn." Well at least this girl knows her history considering her vocabulary ain't all that good.

Yang:"That's right, it was an expansion of Vale, but in the end it was overrun by Grimm and fenced off from the rest of the city." God that must've been a horrifying day, the thought of having nowhere to run as endless Grimm try to kill you is causing you grief.

Oobleck:"Correct! And now it stands abandoned, as a dark reminder."

Blake:"And a likely place for a hideout."

Oobleck:"Precisely." He readjusts his glasses and you notice the airship starting to slow down. You unsheathe your Kitsune as Jack materializes his Tempest and the others ready their weapons as well. The airship lowers and you all jump off of the airship with your weapons at the ready...You look around at the collapsed buildings, no signs of humanity anywhere, the city is devoid of life, but not devoid of Grimm. One look and you can just tell this city's crawling with them...You glance over at Jack and can tell his enhanced senses are going crazy with the amount of danger around you all.

Oobleck:"Children, you still may be students, but as of this moment your first mission as a Huntsman has begun. From this point forward you need to do exactly as I say. Do you understand?" You all nod at him and he looks at Ruby "Ruby!" Ruby looks surprised as she drops her Crescent Rose. "I thought I told you to leave all your bags at school." Why DID she bring that though?

Ruby:"But, uh you hadn't told us to listen to yet...so I didn't." You glance over at Oobleck who has his finger to his chin, thinking

Oobleck:"She's not wrong..." Wait...that actually worked?! "Very well Ruby leave your bag here, we can pick it up upon our return." You look at Ruby to see that she's gotten visibly worried...She begins to speak looking nervous and her head hanging low. What does she have in that bag?

Ruby:"But,I-whaa-"

Oobleck:"Young lady, what in the world could you possibly have in that bag that could be so important for you to bring it-" All of a sudden Zwei pops out of the bag.....everyone's just staring in awe as the adorable Corgi doesn't seem to know what's going on. You look over to Jack with squinted eyes as you have the distinct feeling that he knew about this...

Ruby(whispering to Zwei):"Get back in the bag..." Zwei barks

Oobleck:"We're here to investigate an abandoned urban jungle teeming with death and hostility and you bring...a dog...?" Oobleck leans forward. Ruby is beginning to panic.

Ruby:"I-uhhh!"

Oobleck:"Genius!" Well uh- huh...that wasn't the response you expected. Everyone looks at Ruby surprised as Oobleck zooms off and zooms back and grabs Zwei out of Ruby's bag at high speed which knocks Ruby over. Jack helps her up as you see Oobleck then raises the dog up and spins around in a circle "Canines are historically known for their perceptive nose and heightened sense of sound. Making them excellent companions for hunts such as ours!" Zwei barks and you all look back at Ruby

Ruby:"I'm a genius!" You whisper to Yang

You(Whispering):"You must be so proud of her."

Yang(Whispering):"I must definitely am." You both smile smugly at each other.

Blake:"So what are your orders, doctor?" Oobleck stops spinning with Zwei and looks at you all.

Oobleck:"Ah! Yes! Straight to the chase, I like it!" Oobleck lets go of Zwei and he falls to the ground with a slight whimper for some reason you felt as if your heart broke a bit by hearing that "As you have been informed the Southeast area has been marked as a recent hotspot for Grimm activity. Now there are several possible explanations to this behavior. One of which being, Grimm." ...You think that seemed a little obvious...and you look at the others a tad bit confused.

Ruby:"Uhh,what?" Ruby finally speaking as to what everyone was thinking

Oobleck:"Grimm, a creature of Grimm approximately 100 yards from us at this very moment."

Yang:"What!?"You all turn and draw your weapons.You see a single Beowolf wandering around the city. You all are about to charge at it when Oobleck says

Oobleck:"Stop." You all stop and turn at him

Weiss:"What?"

Oobleck:"There are a number of reasons why Grimm would congregate in this particular area. The most likely of which would be their attraction to negativity. Sadness, envy, loneliness, hatred, all qualities that are likely held by our hidden group harboring ill intent"

Ruby:"So...what now?"

Oobleck:"We wait, we track, if the specimen leads us to its pack, that pack may subsequently lead us to our prey."

You:"And how long will we have to wait till it meets up with its pack?"

Oobleck:"It's uncertain,hours, days, weeks, why lone Grimm have been known to stand isolated from the pack for months- and there's the whole pack." All of a sudden a lot more Grimm appeared, seemingly out of no where...huh, neat.

Weiss:"What?"

Oobleck:"And now they've seen us."

Weiss:"What!?"

Oobleck(Yelling):"AND NOW THEY'VE SEEN US!" He yells as you all ready your weapons as the Grimm begin to charge at the seven of you.

Ruby:"I take it tracking is out of the question?"

Oobleck:"An accurate assumption, yes."

Yang:"What's the plan then?" Oobleck looks at you all before looking at the charging Beowolves.

Oobleck:"Show me what you're capable of..." You all reload, ready, and aim your weapons. You let unstable explosive flames course your right side and frost coat your body's right side. Jack's body surges with lightning as he switches his Tempest into his great sword mode. Ruby slams the Blade of her Crescent Rose down into the ground.

Ruby:"Cover your ears, Zwei!" You all run towards the Grimm with full speed as you notice Yang crush a Beowolf's head with a deadly punch as her Ember Celica fires before running again as Beowolves are chasing after her. You glance over to see multiple Beowolves rushing you and Jack. Jack runs as he sparks towards them before becoming a bolt of lightning as he blares through dozens of Beowolves, you glance behind you to see that dozens more are rushing at you, you turn and slam your Combustion side into the ground as a massive trail of explosions burst right into a good chunk of Beowolves as they go flying into the air. You burst at another group as you switch your Kitsune into dual Glaives as you coat one with Frost and the other with Combustion as they rush and richocet off of multiple Beowolves causing massive explosions of ice and fire everywhere, hitting any nearby Beowolves, they both come rushing back to you as you burst towards one and sweep it off of it's feet with an explosive kick, before grabbing it and coating the Beowolf in ice and slamming it into another group of Beowolves and it explodes as ice shards burst from the ground impaling multiple Beowolves. You land on the ground as you see four Alpha Beowolves dash at you. Your eyes widen as you quickly block against two of the Beowolves' attack but you get slashed in the arm and leg by the other two, you cry out in pain and fall to your knees as they begin to slash at you as you try to defend yourself.

Yang:"(F)!" You hear Yang's voice as your fury grows and your eyes flare with a Lavender and Cosmic Blue color as your body glows and white vein-like marks surround your body, you slam your fist into the ground as an incredible shockwave bursts from you as the ground beneath you shatters due to the punch. The Alpha Beowolves go flying back as you get up. You feel very heavy. You burst at one of the Beowolves with incredible speed and axe-kick it into the ground as a massive crater forms from it, the other Beowolves jump at you as you grab one from the air and swing it around you as it slams into the other Beowolves and you let go as the Beowolves crash into one of the destroyed buildings as the destroyed building crumbles on top of them. You feel your heart getting very tight as you fall to your knees coughing, trying to breathe as your vein markings glow brightly. You close your eyes as a voice from within calls to you.

?(In Mind):"You have much more power at your disposal to help you. These shall help you control your power for now." You feel a warmth around your body as your clothes shine brightly and change? Your clothes manifest with a newfound burst on energy coming from you, your power feeling incredibly under control (Black jacket with grey pockets and a stripe of the same color on each sleeve. The hood, sleeves and jacket have a gold color lining throughout it. The back of the jacket has the symbol of a Lion's head fiercely roaring with a gold outline. Underneath, you wear a black shirt with a gold lining color. You have gauntlets on your wrists that have gold linings and grey circles on the backs. Black pants with several grey pockets with a gold outline running across the pants.) Your vein markings disappear as your clothes glow for a moment as your eyes flare with Lavender and Cosmic Blue for a moment and you still feel the same power rushing through you...this feels incredible. You look up and see Beowolves surrounding you. You smirk as you swing your arm upwards as gigantic black ice spikes shoot out from underneath you and surround you as they impale the surrounding Beowolves. OH THIS IS SO COOL! You look around and you see that these spikes are absolutely massive, almost as big as some of the buildings surrounding you. You jump out from the spikes as you see that your team is staring at you curiously. Yang especially. Ruby looks back at Oobleck with a smug face

Ruby:"Heh, piece of cake."

Oobleck:"Do not celebrate yet, for I am certain this is the first bout of many." You all continue walking.

After MULTIPLE battles of battling Grimm across this barren wasteland. Your new fancy dancy clothes that just magically appeared cuz of...Equinox magic is helping tremendously, you don't feel drained in the slightest while using the power of the ring, the hell are these clothes!?

One thing you've noticed is that your vein markings do return after a bit of extensive use, but other than that it doesn't have the same effect on you as before...what's weird is this entire time Oobleck has been asking the rest of Team RWBY personal questions...the main one being, why did they join? You fire off a explosion right into the face of a Death Stalker that popped out of a building, you dust off your hands and you notice Oobleck reading a book next to you

Oobleck:"Well, (F), I see that you seem to have the most checkered past out of your team...one of them being your father being a rather important person from the White Fang." You stop in your tracks and stare at him

You:"You know about that?"

Oobleck:"But of course. Seems like the entire staff at Beacon knows, yet no one in your team does...so why join the very same people trying to bring your father down?"

You:"Well, let's just say my father isn't exactly father of the year material. So rather than associating with him, I prefer to bring down whatever plans he has in store for us."

Oobleck:"So a mission for righting the sins of a father? Or rather a mission of revenge of an angry son?"

You:"I..." You never thought about it as revenge...but...is it really so wrong to get revenge on the guy who terrorized you and your family for all of your life? "If I were honest, it'd be both."

Oobleck:"Hmm...interesting. Remember (F), you will only play into his hands if you blind your self with the thought of revenge." Oobleck stops reading his book and walks off. You stop and look down before walking behind him.

Hours later

You have stopped walking to rest a bit and seems like night's gonna fall soon, you are all feeling quite fatigued, especially Jack with his side starting to bleed again. 

Ruby:"Sorry! uhhh, are we ready to keep going?" Jack nearly collapses as Blake quickly runs over and supports him, Oobleck most definitely noticed this.

Oobleck:"No, I believe that will have to do for today. It's going to be dark soon." Oobleck then throws his bag at the direction of Yang as you jump in front of her and get hit directly in the face as the bag flies into Yang's hands. "You five, set up camp in that building. Oh and please do make sure there are no more of those creatures. Your leader and I are going to go secure the perimeter, come Ruby!" You all begin walking into the building as Oobleck and Ruby go secure the perimeter, you are about to enter as everyone else did as a chill goes down your spine. You glance back as you see the girl in white staring down at you in the building across from you.

You:"Hey guys I uh...think I saw a Grimm in that building, I'ma go take care of it real quick, alright?" You hear a distant shout from Yang

Yang:"Go ahead!" You glance up as you rapid burst up there and see that the girl in white vanished...something feels familiar about her...you look around one last time as you hear Yang shout "Hey (F)! I think Jack could use some help!"

You:"I'm coming!" You say while looking around before jumping off and control bursting your fall down as you reluctantly enter the building.
