Volume 2) Part 7: An incredible night.

(10 Minutes into the Dance)

After you and Yang went in the Ballroom early for the final preparations for the dance, Yang told you that she needed to greet students and staff from the school for the first 30 minutes of the dance, which you're fine with so you can see which 'ships' Jack always blabbered on about are actually true. You decided to help greet students and staff along with Yang so she wouldn't be alone. And so far you feel like you're doing a pretty damn good job, a large chunk of the expected amount of students have already started dancing. But problem is that there's no sign of Jack, Ruby, Blake, and Sun...Only people you know who have arrived is Team JNPR, Neptune-who seems to be by himself oddly enough when you thought Weiss was gonna ask him out- and Team CRDN, who tried to start trouble at first but settled down when Yang's eyes turned red. Beautiful and frightening, noice. You and Yang have been discussing students and professors in your classes who you both think would look cute together for the past 15 minutes.

You:"Well I PERSONALLY feel like Professor Peach and Professor Oobleck would be perfect."

Yang:"Pfft! As if, Oobleck he doesn't seem like the type to slow down for someone as forgetful as Professor Peach."

You:"Well first off, rude. And second, I feel like Professor Peach never gets her chance to shine, though she's most definitely the kindest of our professors it always feels like she's overlooked, which is WHY she needs someone like Oobleck to bring her spirits up!"

Yang:"Oh, whatever! You know who is my favorite pairing of Professors?"

You:"Oh tell me oh wise shipper." She whispers to you

Yang(Whispers):"Professor Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch." You smile and give her a high-five.

You:"OH MY GOD YES!" You yell as Yang quickly covers your mouth as you see that the people in the ballroom glance over at you as she lets go of you as you both laugh. You both hear the door open and see your faaavvvooorrriiiittteeee person(Please note that this is sarcasm)...Izunia. You sigh as you look over at Yang as she smiles over at Team ICRS.

Yang:"Welcome to-!"

Izunia:"Oh be quiet." You grimace at Izunia as he glares back at you

You:"Jeez, well hello there to you too. Izunia, didn't you hear? This is a dance, no need to be an uptight asshole." Izunia steps forward as you go to do the same as you feel a fight about to happen before he gets held back by his date; Caedis. (Caedis is wearing a light green dress as Izunia is wearing a dark green tux).

Caedis:"Please pardon his behavior..." She says shyfully as you glance over to Yang as she does the same.

You:"Well Ms.Indico, would you please keep an eye on him for me?" Caedis nods and there's a bit of an awkward silence as you and Izunia glare at each other.

Yang:"Sooo um...where's the rest of your guys' team?"

Izunia:"None of your-" Caedis raises her hand as Izunia stops and sighs

Caedis:"They just didn't want to come." Well for some reason you don't believe that at all.

Yang:"Well that's a shame, well regardless, hope you both have a wonderful time!" She says as she smiles as your still glaring at Izunia and she elbows your shoulder as you try to hardest to smile.

Caedis:"Why thank you." She says as they both walk past you. You glance back to see Izunia glaring back at you.

Yang:"God, you two need to stop that whole 'thing' between you two."

You:"Pfft, what 'thing'?" She looks at you condescendingly.

Yang:"The 'thing' where you both act like you're going to kill each other at any moment hun'." 

You:"Hey, he's the one who needs to get over himself." Yang sighs

Yang:"What am I going to do with you?" You smile smugly as you look back at the door to see-Oh my Gooooooooooooooood!!!! "Oh, you look beautiful!" She exclaims while jumping as you smile brightly as Ruby and Jack walk towards you holding each other's hand. You can see that Ruby doesn't feel comfortable wearing her dress, though you must admit it looks very cute on her, Jack got as lucky as you did.

You:"Gotta admit, you both are so cute together!" They both blush slightly

Jack:"Ah, just shut up!" You laugh as Ruby awkwardly scratches her head and Jack is looking up at the sky trying not to be embarrassed. 

Ruby:"Ugh. Can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these?" They begin to walk forward but Ruby trips a little due to her high heels as Jack is trying to keep her up while holding her hand.

You hear Yang laughing and Ruby lets go of Jack's hand and begins to talk to Yang about how all high-heels should be set on fire. You slide over to Jack as he is looking at Ruby in love. You smile and elbow him lightly.

You:"Well, you seem like you're in a good mood."

Jack:"Of course, LOOK AT HER!!!!" You laugh as Jack is gesturing at Ruby. "Like HOW DID I ACTUALLY END UP WITH HER!?"

You:"One of life's greatest mysteries." You say jokingly while laughing. "But in all seriousness, I'm glad you have someone like Ruby in your life." Jack sighs happily. 

Jack."Well, and I'm happy you have a girl like Yang in yours." He says while you ruffle his hair and the doors of the Ballroom open again and see Blake and Sun who have their arms interlocked.

You:"Well, fashionably late you two?" Sun scratches the back of his head as Yang goes to your side as Ruby and Jack do the same.

Ruby:"You actually came! I'm so happy!" Blake seems at ease, which is a refreshing change from the past few days.

Blake:"Yeah, Yang managed to convince me." She flashes a smile at Yang and Yang gives her a thumbs up.

Yang:"Heh, so you want to have that dance now?" Jack looks on confused.

Blake:"Well if it's alright with you (F)?" You smile and bow slightly.

You:"But of course." Yang raises an eyebrow while trying not to smile

Yang:"Since when were you all chivalrous like."

You:"Since 3 seconds ago."You wink at her as she rolls her eyes happily as Blake takes Yang's hand and they go off into the dance floor.

Jack:"So what's with the whole Yang and Blake dancing thingy?"

You:"Ah, well Yang promised to save her a dance if Blake came."

Jack:"Ooooooohhhh, makes sense." You look over and see that both Jack and Ruby are looking at the dance floor awkwardly. You smile deviously as you realize this is a perfect chance to mess with them, you place your hands on both of their shoulders and they look up at you confused.

You:"So,  you...two excited to have your guys' first dance!?" You say with joy on your face. Jack and Ruby glance at each other embarrassed, both blushing slightly.

Jack:"I-I-I- Well, actually-!"

Ruby:"W-Well you see- the thing is-!" Ooooh boy you are loving this train wreck already. You laugh as they both stop

You:"It's alright! No need to be so tense you two!" They look at you confused "Take a deep breath and look at each other..." They do so, both awkwardly blushing "You both love each other, right?" They both nod and smile cutefully at each other "Then there's no reason to be afraid. Doesn't matter how well you dance, what matters is the reason why you choose to dance with each other." They seem to be less stressed as you see Weiss approaching from beside you all.

Weiss:"Those are some good words of wisdom (F)." You all glance over at Weiss and wave to her and approach her...

You:"Hey Weiss." You can see that she seems a little bummed out about something

Ruby:"Did you bring a date?" Ruby says looking around. Weiss sighs.

Weiss:"No, no I did not, but that doesn't mean I still can't have fun right?"

Jack:"True but...weren't you gonna ask Neptune to come with you?"

Weiss:"Well, I did but...he declined my offer. Anyways I have too much to focus on to worry about boys." You can clearly tell that Weiss is rather heart broken by that, but it seems like she's keeping herself occupied with other things to keep her mind off of it. You definitely know how that feels

Sun:"Well, that's weird, usually Neptune loves being at stuff like this but I don't see him anywhere."

Jack:"Well, gotta admit, sucks that he missed out on going to a dance with someone as beautiful as you." Weiss looks at Jack surprised, she gives him a thankful smile. Ruby smiles lovingly at Jack.

Weiss:"Thank you Jack. I really appreciate that."

You:"Well look on the brightside, you did an incredible job with putting this dance together." You look around to admire the beauty of the ball room, everything is spectacular...except the cluttered pile of boxes in the corner...buuuuut let's not go around pointing fingers right?

Weiss:"Why thank you (F), but I can't take all of the credit." She says as she gestures to Yang who just spun around Blake as they both bow to each other as the song has ended. "You got someone special, that's for sure." You smile as Yang goes next to you, smiling at you. You notice that the song that just started is a slow song. You bow slightly and extend your hand to Yang.

You:"May I have this dance, my love?" (Chivalry, works every time my dudes/dudettes...well at least in my experience with my gf it did ;3) Yang smiles with a slight blush in her cheeks as she takes your hand.

Yang:"Of course, honey..." You both turn to the dance floor.

Ruby:"So, what do we do now?" You both look back and smile at your naive little siblings.

You:"Just have fun!" You say as you both walk towards the dance floor

The lights have lowered and the song playing is a romantic, slow one. You both turn and face each other as it seems like it's time for you to take initiative.

You:"Well...this is quite cliche isn't it?" You say as you both lightly laugh and you look your partner in the eyes, she's looking at you, with a loving look in her eyes. You gently place your right hand on Yang's hip and you grasp her left hand as her right hand is on your shoulder. Yang affectionately smiles at you with her lilac eyes melting your heart. Yang smiles smugly

Yang:"Hey, you better not think of moving that right hand any lower." She says as you both laugh and you both begin to sway with the music.

You:"Hey, don't you see that I'm being chivalrous for a change?" 

Yang:"It's a nice change, though not that big of a change, you've always been really respectful towards me, though I gotta admit, it's definitely making you look a lot more handsome right about now." You roll your eyes while blushing lightly. You both begin to step with your right foot and followed by your left to the beat.

You:"Hey Yang?"

Yang:"Yeah?"

You:"Ever realized the entire reason we know each other today is because we were at a freakin' nightclub of all things?" You both chuckle lightly to yourselves as Yang looks at you smugly.

Yang:"Yeah, romantic isn't it?" You both laugh lightly "Though you better have not been staring at any of the girls there."

You:"Well, gonna be honest I was, but only one though, she was this chick with really nice blond hair."

Yang:"Oh really? Why her specifically?" She says while smiling smugly.

You:"Dunno, honestly, maybe because she seemed to stand out from the other shady girls there, maybe because the way she seemed so determined to get what she wanted, and maybe it was because she was so damn sexy." Yang rolls her eyes embarrassingly. "Or maybe because she beat the living crap out of everyone there." Yang laughs.

Yang:"I see, well I can see why you would have trouble keeping your eyes off her." You both smile lovingly at each other, You hear familiar innocent laughter as you both turn your heads to see Jack and Ruby laughing as they slow dance with each other. "I feel like they're perfect for each other."

You:"Yeah, I'm really glad that they fell for each other." Jack and Ruby kiss each other and hold each other tenderly.

Yang:"Yeah..." Yang bites her lip a little before thinking to herself "(F)...why would you ever be crazy enough to love someone as hot-headed and destructive as me?" That question kinda threw you off, never had to REALLY think about that before, there was just something about her that clicked with you.

You:"Do I really need to answer that?" You say with an eyebrow raised curiously

Yang:"Well I've been wondering is all."

You:"It's all good, well I love you because you're honestly the most determined, proud, caring, and loving girl I've ever met. If I go into every reason as to why I love you, it'd would take quite while." You both stare lovingly at each other.

Yang:"Aww...that's so cliche honey." You both burst out laughing

You:"Woooow." You say while rolling your eyes playfully "After I pour my heart and soul for ya, you throw me that curveball, eh?"

Yang:"Aw, sweetie, did I hurt your feelings?" She says while fake batting her eyes.

You:"Whatever, come here you." You say while you pull her in close and you feel her lips against yours as you passionately kiss her as you can tell she wasn't expecting this as she is tensed up. She relaxes and holds you as she kisses you back. You place your hands on her hips as she places her hands on the sides of your cheek as you continue kissing each other. You both shakily draw away from each other as you both look each other with loving eyes. "And there...is my real reason as to why I love you." You draw her closer and whisper "You drive me crazy." You pull her in for a kiss again as Yang places her arms around your shoulders as you both dance the night away. 

After multiple songs seem to fly by, you both continue to tell stories to each other, laugh, and kiss each other. Though by what you imagine is the 8th song you've danced with her in a row, both of you need a bit of a break, conveniently enough the next song seems like it's a fast song, so you slightly bow as she does the same to you.

You:"I hope we do this again some time."

Yang:"Hopefully we do it soon." You both smile at each other as you lead her away from the dance floor. "I need some punch."

You:"Aw, no strawberry sunrise?" You say with a smug face.

Yang:"Sadly no. That's whhhyyyy..." She looks around before taking your hand and leading you up the stairs to an empty balcony.

You:"Uh...I thought you wanted a-?" 

Yang:"Ssssshhhh." She reaches in a convenient hole in the wall of the balcony and she brings out a cocktail shaker and two cocktail glasses. You stand there stunned.

You:"Is that what I think it is?" Yang nods deviously. She opens it as the familiar aroma hits you and you smile as she hands you a strawberry freakin' sunrise. She does the same for herself before placing the shaker back into the hole in the wall.

Yang:"I thought since this was our first dance and since it's been so long since either of us has had any soooo, I kinda made some." You stare at her completely in love

You:"You know babe, you are the best girlfriend ever." Yang smiles smugly

Yang:"Oh I know. Though it's always good to know that you agree." She winks as you both look out from the balcony as you can see the city lights from where you are in a beautiful view. Yang leans next to you as you both clink your glasses together and drink from them. Tastes exactly like the ones in Junior's club ah, you are quite impressed.... a little too impressed hold up!

You:"...You beat the recipe out of the bartender of Junior's club, didn't you?"

Yang:"Aw babe, you know me so well. Though I only threatened him, as apparently it's against the rules to beat everyone up just because they won't give me what I want because it's 'too violent' or something stupid like that." 

You:"Well that's dumb, violence is always the answer."

Yang:"Most definitely." You both laugh lightly as you place your arm around Yang and pull her close to your side as you both enjoy the view and your sunrises. 

After a few drinks of Sunrise you both realize you shouldn't have too much or else risk getting caught by the teachers or just risk the team having to carry you guys to the dorm. Though oddly enough, even though it's clear that Yang is having a bit of an effect on her after having a couple of glasses as she's being more flirty with you than usual, you feel completely fine..DAMN YOU RING! You both decide to head back and lean against the railing of the upper floor.

You:"I wonder where Jack and Ruby ran off to?"

Yang:"Dunno, just look for two awkward children that seem dazed like a couple of deer in headlights." Accurate. After a small segment of 'Where's the Sibling' you spot them right next to the punch as Yang whistles at them, they both look up to see you both waving at them. They look at each other before making their way up. As they do so Yang places her head against your shoulder as Ruby and Jack lean against the railing as well.

Yang:"Y'know, I think we really needed this." You look down to see Blake and Sun dancing as Blake has an...interesting way of dancing, you look next to them to see Ren and Nora dancing uh, not well. You smile either way and you look over to...HOLY CRAP IS THAT PENNY!? 

You:"Hey, it's Penny?" You all look to see Penny doing the robot...behind a bunch of guards, okay?

Yang::"Been a while jeez. Didn't she like dominate the White Fang at the pier?

Jack:"Yeah, total badass there." You breathe out happily looking at everyone just having the times of their lives.

You:"This dance is quite amazing." You say while looking down at everyone

Ruby:"And you did a really great job planning it too, Yang." Yang gives Ruby a one-armed hug as Ruby is now choking due to Yang's freakish strength

Yang:"Aww, thanks. It wasn't all me though. Weiss did a lot too." You look down to see Weiss sitting down and see Neptune approaching her looking at her nervously as he scratches the back of his head. and Weiss offers the seat next to her so he can sit down, which he does. Hmm, seems like everyone's finally got a date in your team, if only the same could apply to Team JNPR. Yang sighs

Yang:"Tomorrow it's back to work."

Ruby:"Well, I'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us." Jack places his arm around Ruby, smiling. You hear laughter coming from below aaaaannnndddd, Jaune's...in a dress...h-he's in a dress...WHY IS HE IN A DRESS!?

Jack/Ruby:"Except for that." The entire floor stops and stares at him as he goes up to Pyrrha

Pyrrha:"Jaune?"

Jaune:"Eh, a promise is a promise." He says while bringing his arms up. Pyrrha begins to laugh.

Pyrrha:"Jaune, you didn't have to." She says while continuing to laugh.

Jaune:"Hey. An Arc never goes back on his word. Now do you want to stand there and laugh at me." he offers his hand to Pyrrha "Or do you want to dance." It SEEMS LIKE YOUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED, HALLELUJAH!

Pyrrha:"I...would love to dance." The absolute mad man, he actually did it.

Jack:"IIIIIIII SSSSHHHHHHHIIIIIIIPPPPP IIIIITTTTTT!!!!" luckily no one from the lower level heard that and you hear Nora yell

Nora:"This. is. HAPPENING!" The song changes into a very techno song and all of Team JNPR start doing a VERY synchronized dance along with it? WHY ARE THEY SO IN SYNC, WAT!?

You, all stand there in shock as you watch them move flawlessly together...HOW MUCH TIME DID THEY HAVE TO ORGANIZE THIS NUMBER!?!? They begin to dance separated as you glance at Yang who's glancing at you with a sly smile as you offer your hand and she takes it as you both make your way to the dance floor after seeing that glorious dance, SURELY YOU SHALL DO JUST AS WELL!

You and Yang have flawless dancing...and by flawless I mean you both looked like headless chickens on the dance floor. BUT IT WAS GLORIOUS EITHER WAY! As you and Yang go from the dance floor you look around to see that both Ruby and Jack have left. You look over to Yang as she's looking down, thinking.

You:"So what now?" Yang snaps out of her thinking as she looks up at you 

Yang:"Hey (F)?"

You:"Yeah?"

Yang:"Maybe we should head back to the room...?" You look at her confused as she blushes slightly while looking down.

You:"Why, is something wrong?"

Yang:"N-no, it's just...I wanna be alone with you for a while?"

You:"I mean we could go to the balcony for tha-" Yang covers your mouth and smiles.

Yang:"Just, trust me. Alright?" You realize what she's trying to do...your eyes widen and you blush slightly

You:"I-...of course." You say while smiling at her and you both hold hands while you begin walking back to the dorm.
