(Volume 2) Part 3:A Discouraged Brother/A Nightmare Unveiled.

Your head's been feeling fuzzy this entire day. After coming up with the decision that you and the team are gonna go after the White Fang, Torchwick and the others...you can't recall ANYTHING passed that. There's just a blank spot in your memory where no one in your team knew where you went. According to Yang she found you passed out against the wall near the dorm. But you don't know what happened to you in that small amount of time. Of course now Yang is now worried sick over you after finding you. But you couldn't worry about that as you only just barely remember feeling something that terrified you, and not knowing what that was is killing you.

Well, anyways, you and the rest of the team are all in class as Professor Port is off ranting about his 'heroic' past back when he was young. And usually you and Yang would be making fun of Professor Port's speech, but today your head just feels horrible and you can't even listen in to what he's saying. You took multiple pills trying to get rid of the pain but none of it worked, your head is against the desk holding your head as Yang is running her hand through your hair worryingly.

 Yang:"I think we need to take you to see the nurse, babe." You groan

You:"No, I'll be fine hun."You lift your head and smile at her tiredly as she gives you a worried smile. 

Yang:"You said that yesterday night as well when I found you passed out in the hall." You sigh as you glance past her to see Caedis sitting at the opposite end of the classroom, staring at you. Something about her feels especially familiar. Your head feels numb while staring into her eyes, for a split second you see her eyes flare a hazy violet color as your head sky-rockets with pain, you stop staring at her as you hold your head in pain against the table

You:"Agh!" You yell as immediately afterwards your Ring glows and instantly all the pain in your head stops. You look back over to where Caedis was to see that she got up and is now walking away. You look back at Yang who looks very confused.

Yang:"Arrreeee you alright?"

You:"I-, well all the pain that was just in my head a second ago instantly went away." Yang raises an eyebrow

Yang:"Ooookkaaayyyy? My question still stands, are you sure you're alright?"

You:"Yeah...I think?"

Yang:"(F). Do you THINK you're alright, or do you KNOW you're alright?" You breathe in sharply and close your eyes in annoyance.

You(Sarcastically):"NoOoOo, I'm dying Yang! Jeez, what's up with you today? And also I AM fine."

Yang:"You're my boyfriend and I found you passed out without any memory of what happened, that's 'what's up with me today' hun." 

You:"You don't need to worry about me babe."

Yang:"You're the person I love, of course I'ma worry. And now you saying all that pain in your head from last night and today is just immediately gone is just kiiinnnda worrisome."

You:"Well again, there's nothing you need to worry about. I think the Ring just solved the problem that I had."

Yang(Sarcastically):"OooOoh, all hail the magic ring, can it solve my math homework next?" You roll your eyes while smiling "But seriously, that's convenient. Wish I had a magical ring to cure my headache." 

You:"You have a headache?"

Yang:"Yes, you're the headache in my life."

You:"Ow, love ya too." Yang sticks her tongue at you as you ruffle her hair which Yang hits you in the shoulder for. 

Well uh...now that you can actually focus since the headache's gone now you noticed that Jaune just slide right next to Weiss at the end of the row as you quickly realize that this is yet again Jaune's like...5th time trying to hit on Weiss this week? You whisper to Yang

You:"Oh, looks like lover boy Jaune is trying yet again trying to get Weiss to notice him." You both smile pitifully at Jaune

Yang:"Wish the poor guy would take the hint and go after Pyrrha." You raise an eyebrow

You:"Why Pyrrha?" Yang looks at you disappointed

Yang:"Oh my-." she facepalms herself "Are you that oblivious?"

You:"...To what?" 

Yang:"Have you not noticed that Pyrrha has like a massive crush on Jaune?" You narrow your eyes trying to remember but you don't see how that's possible...

You:"...Are you sure about that?" Yang groans as she buries her face into the palm of her hands

Yang:"How has our relationship lasted this long..."

You:"Cuz I'm good lookin'." She shrugs

Yang:"Well, you're not wrong." You dramatically gasp

You(Overdramatic/Sarcastic):"You only love me because of my looks!? I thought you loved me because of my personality! Sorry babe we're through."

Yang(Overdramatic/Sarcastic):"Oh thank God, I can now go to that male stripper joint and hit up Frank or how he likes to be called: Spicy Jalapeno. CUZ HE KNEW HOW TO HEAT UP A NIGHT UNLIKE YOU!"

You(Overdramatic/Sarcastic):" OH! SO YOU BRING UP FRANK INTO THIS, YOU TOLD ME HE WAS A PLUMBER WHEN I FOUND HIM IN THE HOUSE AFTER I CAME HOME FROM WORK!"

Yang(Overdramatic/Sarcastic):"WELL MAYBE HIM BEING IN SPANDEX SHOULDA GAVE YOU A HINT!"

You(Overdramatic/Sarcastic):"I THOUGHT IT WAS A NEW REGULATION IN PLUMBER UNIFORMS!" Er....um...Well anyways Jaune started actually talking to Ice Que- er, Weiss.

Jaune:"So Weiss, you know uh, I was thinking after this, maybe we'd go grab a bite to eat? And uh, you know well I-I've got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie if you want to make the trip to Vale. I hear it's awesome. And...then maybe we could, study together? I mean you're smart and I'm a, you know..." Weiss just not paying attention at all as she looks at her Scroll. She looks up as the bell rings and you listen back to Professor Port.

Professor Port:"And then I-oh, uh, timed that wrong I guess. Well the stunning conclusion to the story will have to wait. Until next time." You look back at Jaune and Weiss.

Jaune:"Weiss? Did you hear me?" Weiss gets up and walks away from Jaune

Weiss:"No, no, no, yes." Welp, Ice Queen unveils her cold vacuum of a heart yet again. Jaune sighs as he places his head on the table. You all walk past him as Yang ruffles his hair.

Yang:"Some day." You roll your eyes and whisper

You:"Why encourage him if you know the whole Pyrrha crush thing?"

Yang:"'Cause, you never know what could happen in the future. And-" She looks past you back at the tables behind you "What's Jack doing?" You look back to see Jack's eyes look fierce as he grabs Jaune

You:"Oh no."

Jack:"LISTEN HERE BUCKO!" Oh God.

Jaune:"I-what?-" Jack all of a sudden slaps Jaune as Jaune looks as stunned as you are.

Jack:"ZIP IT! LOOK AT ME!" Jaune looks at him and Jack slaps him in the face again"DON'T LOOK AT ME!"

Jaune:"Ow! What do you want!?"

Jack:"CAUSE YOU'RE MY BRO, AAAANNND I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS ANY LONGER!"

Jaune:"Stand for wha-?" Jack slaps him again "OW!"

Jack:"DID I SAY YOU COULD SPEAK BOY!?" Jaune looks helplessly confused.

Yang:"Maaayyybe you should help out Jaune from Jack's wrath?" She looks at you as you nod , she gives you a kiss on the cheek "Well, the rest of the team are heading back to get dressed for our little investigation so I'm heading back too, see ya." She walks away as you walk over towards Jack and Jaune

 Jack:"ANYWAYS! I CAN'T STAND THAT WHOLE GOO-GOO EYES THING YOU'VE BEEN DOING WITH WEISS!" Jack sighs as you place your hand on Jack's shoulder as he calms down "Seriously dude, she's denied you like 20 times already throughout the school year."

You:"He's got a point. Why are you still going after Weiss?"

Jaune:"I don't know, I guess I think that if I ask her enough, maybe she'll actually give me a chance." You sigh and pat his shoulder as you can see that Jaune's already been psychologically damaged by Jack as he flinches. 

You:"I know how it feels."

Jaune:"Well at least you two have someone." He sulks his head down "I'm all alone..." He says weakly

Jack:"What about Pyrrha?" Jaune looks up confused

Jaune:"Pyrrha?"

Jack:"Yeah, she's always there for you, I mean look." He grabs the top of his head and make his head move so he's looking at Pyrrha who is now waiting patiently by the door for Jaune.

Jaune:"Yeah but, she's just a friend." Jack brings his hand back as electricity sparks across his hand but you stop him from slapping Jaune again.

You:"Maybe take her to go see that Spruce Willis movie." Jaune scoffs as he gets up and walks off

Jaune:"Pssh, might as well buy a dress while I'm at it." You glance down at Jack as he's looking down sadly. You ruffle his hair.

You:"So...why'd you start all of that?" Jack scoffs as he frowns

Jack:"It just hurts to see that he's missing out on someone so amazing..."

You:"Well I don't think that slapping him was the greatest thing to help him go after Pyrrha." Jack's body begins to spark with lightning as he grows angrier.

Jack(Angry):"I'm just so tired of seeing him sulk like this!" His lightning sparks off around him furiously. You place both your hands on Jack's shoulders as he begins to calm down. 

You:"I know bud..." You wish you had words of advice to give your little bro.

Jack"It's just...I'm so damn random all the time that now I feel like if I try to have a serious discussion with anyone, I feel like they only see me as a joke. That's why I slapped him, to just finally get his attention for once." Well...you didn't expect that out of him

You:"Listen I know you care for him, and Pyrrha, and well- everyone really. You're a great person, and I know you're going to be an amazing Huntsman. You just have to stay strong, no matter what people may say or think about you. And if you don't like how they're treating you then make them know just the amount of respect you deserve."

Jack:"Pfft, how do I do that?"

You:"Well, people judge you by your actions. So just be there for them. Care for them. And they'll be there for you too." Jack sighs as the Lightning around him disperses 

Jack:"I wish it was that easy."

You:"Hey, things seem hard right now, but you gotta keep your chin up little bro. You're gonna go far Jack, I can feel it."

(Later|RWBY's Dorm)

You and Jack enter your dorm after changing into your fighting outfits and see that the rest of the team is now rocking new outfits for the investigation, which you honestly like more than their regular outfits, especially Yang's. They all look to you and Jack and you walk over and hop up on Yang's bunk as Yang's laying on her side. Seems like you're all starting to head out soon.

You:"Well you're looking especially stunning in that new outfit." You say as Yang gives you a flirty smirk.

Yang:"Oh trust me I know hun. And you're still just as handsome as usual."

You:"Baby you know it." You both wink at each other as you all look over at Ruby on her bunk

Ruby:"Alright guys, today's the day. The investigation, begins!" she jumps off her bunk as Weiss quickly pulls her legs back before they were broken by Ruby on the way down.

Weiss(Sarcastically):"I'm glad to see that we're taking this SO seriously."

Yang:"Hey! We've got a plan. That's...moderately serious." You feel off about today. Something about diving into this is making you uneasy.

Ruby:"Right, everyone remember their roles?"

Weiss:"You and I will head down to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies, or inconsistencies. Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem."

Blake:"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members. If I can get in, I can hopefully find out what they're planning."

Yang:"I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale. Getting information out of him won't be too hard." ...She's talking about that perv Junior isn't she?

You:"And finally, Jack and I will head down to the docks where we found Torchwick and see if they left any clues to where they are or what their plan is."

Ruby:"Great, we'll meet up tonight near Yang to go over what we've found. Let's do this!"

???:"Yeah!" You hear a voice and look to the slightly covered window (Due to your bunk bed) and see that Sun is hanging upside down by his tail. You all step back surprised to see him.

Blake:"Sun!?"

Sun:"Is...this bunk bed made out of dog treats?"

Jack:"Ssssshh, don't ask."

Yang:"How did you get up there?"

Sun:"Ah it's easy I do it all the time."

Weiss:"You do what!?"

Sun:"I climb trees all the time!" Weiss squints at Sun angrily. Sun swings himself into the room and lands on your bed, laying down. "So... are we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?"

Blake:"WE, are going to investigate the situation. As a team."

Ruby:"Sorry Sun, we don't want to get friends involved if we don't have to."

Sun:"Pfft, that's dumb. You should always get friends involved. That's why I brought Neptune."

You:"Hold up, where's he?" He points to the window as you all poke your heads out of the window to see Neptune is indeed on the side of the building...you wonder how he got up there.

Neptune:" 'Sup."

Ruby:"How did you even get up here."

Neptune:"I have my ways...Seriously though can I come in. We're like, really high up right now." He says while looking down.

You unsheathe your Kitsune and toss it to Neptune. He doesn't expect it as he nearly drops it after trying to grab it without falling.

Neptune:"Ooookay? What now?" You hold your hand out from inside the room

You:"Just hold tight." You call your Kitsune back to you as Neptune gets sent flying into the room yelling before slamming onto the ground below your hand. He drops your Kitsune as it flies back in your hand and you sheathe it.

Neptune(In pain):"Thanks." He says while still on the ground as the rest of the group looks on in confusion.

You:"No problem." You all gather in the center of the room, which is rather cramped with Sun and Neptune now in the mix. After telling Sun and Neptune about the plan, Ruby decides where they'll go.

Ruby:"All right. I'll go with Weiss. Sun, you can go with Blake. And Neptune you can go with Yang since she's the only one without a partner." Ruby begins pushing Neptune towards Yang and Weiss seems saddened. "Everyone good?"

Weiss:"Actually Ruby, why don't you go with Yang? After all she is your sister. And (F) and Jack are paired up and they're siblings, makes perfect sense, right?" You feel like she's trying to go somewhere with this...

Ruby:"But Weiss, who would go with you then?"

Weiss:"Well, I guess Neptune could come with me." You hear Jack gagging as he looks at them

Jack:"Ew, make it stop." Ruby begins laughing as you see Neptune smiling and pointing at Weiss.

Ruby:"Nah." She kisses Jack on the cheek before dragging Weiss out the door.

Weiss:"But! But!" Jack yells

Jack:"Hey, be safe out there!"

Ruby(Distant):"I do what I want! But you better stay safe too!" Jack smirks as everyone else begins leaving the room

You look downwards frowning...well this is it. You feel someone kiss you on the nose and you look up to see Yang.

Yang:"Well be safe out there love." You smile and give her a kiss on the cheek.

You:"You too." She smiles as she leaves the room with Neptune following after.

Jack:"Is this about Roman?"

You:"Not just him, dad too." Jack sighs

Jack:"Yeah...we haven't exactly told that bombshell to the team yet. But nevertheless, we'll be fine, and the sooner we get this investigation done, the sooner we won't have to worry about them anymore."You smiles before ruffling his hair as you both exit.

(Later at the Docks)

You and Jack have arrived at the Docks and snuck through the entrance of the warehouse Torchwick was using. You and Jack have your weapons drawn in case the warehouse isn't fully abandoned. You both look around the warehouse for a while and find nothing. You sigh

You:"This seems like a dead end." Jack is still looking in the back rooms

Jack(Distant):"Hey (F)! Look at this!" You go over to where he is as in one of the back rooms there's a single light on with a table with a note on it. The note reads: "We know you're searching for us."Your senses are going crazy, that's most certainly a trap. You look over to see Jack walking towards it.

You:"Jack stop!" Jack stops walking as he just barely sets off a tripwire and your eyes widen as you both hear ticking coming from the table, you burst over to him immediately and go in front of him as you grab and cover Jack to protect him as ice bursts from your backside covering you both in a highly dense sphere as a massive explosion goes off and you both feel the heat past the ice sphere. The explosion breaks through the ice as the ice shatters and the shockwave from the blast send you both back, you are both thrown back violently into the main part of the warehouse as a terrifying presence fills the room, you cough violently as both you and Jack are covered in soot from the explosion, you quickly get up as Jack is unconscious due to the blast.

You:"Jack!?" You run over to him and look over at him terrified, he's barely breathing. You get up as that terrifying presence grows incredibly strong around you and the area around you is shrouded by a black mist with red lightning coursing through it. 

?:"Well, well, well. I was fully expecting the boy to die. Good to see your skills are improving, Equinox." Your eyes widen as you recognize the voice and you look towards the center of the warehouse as floating above is the Man in the Skull Mask you've been terrified of in your nightmares...the amalgamation of powers you felt is staring straight at you.

Amalgamation:"Now then...let's talk."
