(Volume 1) Chapter 9:Stressful Situation/Trust

You and the rest of the team are waiting for Weiss to finish changing into her fighting outfit. You look around the classroom from your seat to see who else is in this class...you don't really see anyone  you recognize. Unnntttiiilll you look behind you and way up in the back you see Team ICRS. Izunia's resting his eyes with his arms crossed and his amulet glowing, still trying to looking intimidating even when he's not paying attention. Caedis is reading a book about...blood? Well that's not weird at all, Ronin's on his scroll looking bored and Solar is currently lying his head on the table, sleeping. You examine them as Izunia slowly opens his eyes. He instantly looks at you and glares at you. You roll your eyes as you stop looking at Team ICRS. You sigh as Yang glances at you

You:"Just great." Yang looks at you confused

Yang:"What's up?"

You:"Looks like our favorite people Team ICRS is in this class as well." All of Team RWBY look at you as you all look back at Team ICRS. All of Team ICRS is glaring at you and your team now...

Blake:"Honestly what is their problem?"

You:"I wish I knew." Your Ring is glowing despite you not noticing it. You all stop glaring at each other as the door to the classroom opens and see that Weiss is walking down the stairs as she takes out her Myrtenaster in her fighting outfit and she faces the cage. Judging by the growling that Boarbatusk is doing, it seems pretty pissed. Your Ring stops glowing as you all focus on cheering on Weiss.

Yang:"Goooo Weiss!" yells while raising one fist up in the air

Blake:"Fight well!" She's waving a tiny flag with Team RWBY on it...where did she get that?

You:"Get 'em Weiss!" You yell with enthusiasm 

Jack:"Ey! Don't die, k? Dying is pretty bad for your health!"

Ruby:"Yeah, represent Team RWBY!" she yells while raising her hands in the air

Weiss:"Ruby, I'm trying to focus!" Ruby looks surprised and she stops raising her hands

Ruby:"Oh,sorry..." she says quietly...huh, only singled out Ruby...well rude.

Professor Port:"Alright, now let the match begin!" Port swings his weapon and hits the cage and the door bursts open to reveal a very pissed off Boarbatusk that instantly charges out of the cage and charges at Weiss. She dodges to the side and slices at the Boarbatusk, it has little effect due to the tough armor on it. It slides to the end of the room and faces Weiss. Weiss lifts her Myrtenaster and aims it at the Boarbatusk. You hear Team ICRS behind you laughing quietly.

Professor Port:"Haha, weren't expecting that, were you?"

Ruby:"Hang in there,Weiss." You notice Weiss frown a little. You can already tell is gonna get bad quick

She dashes at the Boarbatusk while the Boarbatusk charges at her, she thrusts the tip of her rapier at the Boarbatusk and having no effect on it, her Rapier gets caught on the Boarbatusk's tusks. Professor Port doesn't seem to think it was an accident

Professor Port:"Bold, new approach. I like it!" She seems to be in a tug of war to get her Rapier back under her control.

Ruby:"Come on Weiss, show it who's boss!" Weiss glares at Ruby, only distracting her and sends her Rapier flying across the room as the Boarbatusk pulls away and rams into her making her get knocked down. Team ICRS are talking among themselves as you glance back. They're all smiling deviously except for Caedis who has her eyes closed

Professor Port:"Now what will you do without your weapon?" Weiss gets on her knees and looks up to see the Boarbatusk charging at her, she just barely manages to jump out of the way. She rolls and gets up and runs to her Myrtenaster and slides down and grabs it. Team ICRS laughs loudly as you get annoyed by them. As the fight continues you look over to Jack who's sitting by Ruby

You:"Psst, hey Jack?" Jack looks over to you

Jack:"Yeah?"

You:"What's Team ICRS talking about up there?" Jack looks at you confused then looks over to Team ICRS and listening to their conversation...after a while his face becomes serious before getting angry and looking up at them fiercely.

Jack:"I'm gonna kill them." He yells angrily before getting up, out of instinct you quickly grab his arm and yank back into his seat.

You:"Jack, no! What are they saying?" He whispers to you

Jack:"They're hoping that she'll be killed by this and giving details on how slow and painful they want her death to be..." You glare at Team ICRS as you sigh and look at Jack.

You:"We'll talk about this later." You reluctantly focus back on the fight as Ruby then yells out

Ruby:"Weiss, go for it's belly! There's no armor underneath-" She gets interrupted by Weiss looking furious at her

Weiss:"Stop telling me what to do!" She yells...you all glance over at Ruby as you see Ruby stop and look down, it seems like that really hurt Ruby, Jack places a hand on her shoulder and she looks up slightly to give him a soft smile before looking sad again. He stops giving her a soft smile as he slowly looks back at Team ICRS who are talking to each other yet again while glaring at Ruby. His calm expression has turned into one of raging hate.

The Boarbatusk jumps up and starts spinning rapidly before hitting the ground, charging up and dashing at Weiss at incredible speed. Weiss activates her Semblance and summons a Glyph in front of her and knocking the Boarbatusk on its back. She jumps to a Glyph she made behind her and launches herself off of it and stab her Myrtenaster inside the Boarbatusk's stomach. She breaths heavily. Jack looks back at Ruby, thinking to himself.

Professor Port:"Bravo! Braavo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress in training." She gets up as the Boarbatusk disintegrates. You look to Ruby who seems really disappointed in herself...You hear laughter coming from Team ICRS as you glare up at them. "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings and, stay vigilant. Class dismissed."

Weiss glares at Ruby angrily before storming out of the room. You hear Jaune say 

Jaune:"Jeesh, what's up with her?". You all glance at each other and Yang sighs. 

Yang:"Well this is fine mess..." She rests her head on your shoulder as you sigh as well. You see Jack and Ruby holding each other's hands as Ruby rests on arm that's laying on the table. You hear Team ICRS laughing once again as you look back and see them leaving the classroom.

Jack:"C'mon, we need to go. Now." You all look at him as Jack is dead focused on Team ICRS, you all get up and leave the classroom. You see Weiss turning into another hallway and look to Ruby and see her run off to her. You look back to Blake, Yang, and Jack. Jack sighs while looking down

You:"Really wish that Weiss would get along better with Ruby."

Jack:"Yeah...we've only had our team for a day and it's already falling apart.

Ozpin:"What's falling apart?" Everyone jumps back as they look at Ozpin who appeared out of nowhere with his coffee in his hand.

You:"I...well Weiss doesn't feel that Ruby should have gotten the role of leader." Ozpin thinks to himself

Ozpin:"Ah yes. Miss Schnee and Miss Rose do seem to have difficulty with getting along. Well I suppose I'll go have a chat with Miss Rose. In the mean time you all should head to your next class." Ozpin walks away with his cane and coffee in hand. Ozpin's pretty awesome, always so calm and wise yet has this feeling of badassery within him. He walks off to where Weiss and Ruby ran off to and you all sigh

Yang:"Well, like he said, we should head to our next classes. And (F) you're in my next class so let's go."

You:"Alrighty." You smile as you glance back at Jack...he's glaring at Team ICRS as they are just talking to each other, he walks angrily towards them...what's he doing? "Uh...Jack?"

Your team all look over at him as his arm fills up with Lightning...OH NO!

Jack:"Hey! Izunia!" Izunia looks back as Jack punches Izunia straight in the jaw with his lightning-filled punch. Izunia gets sent flying into the ground. You all quickly run over to him as Caedis rushes to help Izunia off of the ground

Jack:"STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM OUR TEAM!" He yells as Izunia smiles smugly and getting off of the ground as green particles swirl around him. His eyes glowing a bright green as his amulet glows

  You:"JACK! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" You burst over to him and knock Jack backwards from Team ICRS and holding your arms out trying to prevent either of them from fighting each other. All students in the area are gathered around you all. This is really bad...

Jack:"I'M TEACHING THIS ASSHOLE WHAT HE DESERVES, THAT'S WHAT I'M DOING!" Jack tries walking over to Izunia but you hold him back. Izunia smiles smugly as he warps past you both and grabs Jack by the arm and warps up with him before slamming him into the ground. Jack wraps himself in lightning as he quickly gets up and gets into his fighting stance as Izunia lands on the ground as his eyes glowing brightly. They both burst towards each other and punch blow after blow with one another. Particles and lightning are flying across the area as the other students are deeply invested into this. Izunia continuously warps around Jack hitting him down to the ground afterwards and grabbing him by the collar, his fist courses with green particles as he is about to unleash it as you get furious over this nonsense and send out ice from your feet. They both get frozen into place. Something's...up with your Ice though, it's completely black. The temperature in the room also dropped immensely as you can see your breath now, Izunia glares over at you.

You:"THAT'S ENOUGH!" A small shockwave is sent from your shout. Your Ring is glowing immensely as your skin is now riddled with white vein-like cracks in your skin. You burst over to them with immense speed and place them on opposite sides of the circle created by the students. Your Combustion activates as your flames become so hot that they turn into a white color, it courses from your right side as it shoots out and circles around Jack and Izunia as it thaws out the both of them, not even burning them or hurting them in the slightest before the flames completely stop. Your chest aches as you calm down as the Ring stops glowing as the cracks in your skin trails thin smoke and fade. Everyone in the circle is now staring at you.  You...don't know what just happened to your Semblance just now...The silence is disturbed as you hear the thundering steps of someone coming. Glynda Goodwitch shoves her way through the circle as she glares at all three of you. She readjusts her glasses angrily

Glynda:"All of you, leave now!" The rest of the students quickly disperse as only Team RWBY and Team ICRS remain. "You three, come with me. NOW!" She yells furiously before walking away, you sigh and look at Jack who's bleeding and has a black eye and then look towards Izunia who despite having taken multiple blows from Jack seems completely fine...odd. You all reluctantly walk behind Glynda as you hope that she won't send you out of the school...

(Later| Yang's POV)

Gah! This day has just gotten so bad out of nowhere with Weiss hating my little sis'. Jack getting into a fight. (F) unveiling new stuff I NEVER knew he could do. Glynda yelling at them to follow her AND I AM FREAKING OUT! Gah! It's been like 3 hours and neither (F) or Jack have come back. Ugh what if they're gonna get kicked out. Gah I need to stop worrying as Ruby's also freaking out as we told her about all of the stuff that happened with Jack and (F).

Ruby:"I HATE THIS! I THOUGHT TODAY WAS GONNA BE A GREAT FIRST OFFICIAL DAY OF TEAM RWBY BUT NOPE! IT'S ALL BAD!"

Blake:"You need to calm down Ruby. We're all worried here."

Yang:"Yeah, and sure it's been a rough day but you can't let that tear you down." We hear the door to the room starting to open as we all rush to the door as (F) and Jack open. Both of them are smiling at us as I glare at (F), my eyes scarlet red. all of a sudden their happy expressions turn to pure terror as I punch (F) in the arm.

You:"OW!?" Ruby yanks Jack by the ear and drags him inside painfully as I yank (F) in. (F) holds his arm in pain as Jack holds his ear in pain

Jack:"OW! OW! OKAY OW!"

Ruby:"WELL WHAT'S THE NEWS HUH!? YOU GUYS GETTING KICKED OUT!?"

You:"No, no we are not. We were smiling back at the door because we were gonna tell you guys that we weren't going to have to deal with Team ICRS in our classes anymore."

Jack:"Well except for that sparing class we have..."

Ruby:"Well that's good to know, but how about we address the Goliath in the room!?

Yang:"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW STUPID THAT WAS!?"

Ruby:"GAH! YOU'VE COULD'VE BOTH BEEN KICKED OUT ON THE FIRST DAY YOU IDIOTS!"Jack and (F) sigh

Blake:"What even CAUSED you to act like this Jack, never would've suspected you to do something like this." Jack and (F) look at each other before looking at us.

Jack:"Well I heard some horrible things coming from Team ICRS directed at our team. Just dreadful things...and from the way they were talking about it in detail, it seemed like they were going to act on it eventually. So my anger got the best of me and tried to stop their plans personally."

You:"Didn't work out so well as you can see." I look at Jack as he's definitely all beat up with bandages everywhere and a cover around his left eye. I glance at (F) as...the only thing wrong with him is that the finger holding the ring is now completely bandaged...odd. Ruby sighs and places her hand against her head

Ruby:"First off HOW did you even hear them, and second just WHAT did you hear that caused you to act like this."

Jack:"Well the how is a bit of a story, essentially my Mom's Semblance is the ability to enhance the senses of herself and other people around if she wishes to. Well when I was born and until I was around 7, I was blind. Our parents couldn't afford the operation to fix my eyes and so my mom enhanced my senses around me. And so when they finally did the operation and fixed my eyes, instead of my mom stopping my enhanced senses, she just let me use it to protect myself and such. So now I have the benefit of having night-vision, Immensely good hearing, fast reactions, good sense of smell, taste, etc."

You:"He basically has the attributes of the average Faunus except without the actual...Faunus parts."

Blake:"Huh..." Blake stares at Jack, studying him.

Ruby:"Alright, but still. Why did you do something so stupid, just what on Remnant did they say?" Jack sighs as he looks down shyly

Jack:"I can't tell you that." Everyone except (F) look at him curiously, and Ruby looks at him angrily.

Yang:"What do you mean by that?"

You:"It means, that we're not going to talk about it." We look at (F) as he's examining his Ring.

Yang(Angrily):"And why's that?"

You:"Like I said Yang, because we're not gonna talk about it. End of discussion." He says while closing his eyes in slight annoyance. I glare at him, I feel my anger rising again.

Yang:"And like I already asked, why?" I say while approaching him with my eyes narrow and eyes still scarlet. "(F) answer me, why!?" He remains silent for a bit as he closes his eyes as I get annoyed "(F)!"

You(Angrily):"WOULD YOU SHUT UP!?" He unexpectedly yells as he glares at me, his eyes changed into a different color...The room is dead silence as I widen my eyes as (F) realizes the outcome of his outburst...(F) you are so lucky that I like you or else you'd be thrown through a set of buildings. "I-I'm...sorry." He says sincerely as he looks down "I'm gonna go clear my head for a bit." He turns around and exits out the door. I look down and sigh and run off angrily after him. But when I stand out in the hallway I don't see him anywhere. 

Jack:"Yang. (F) didn't mean to yell. He's just stressed is all."

Yang(Angrily):"Then why isn't he letting us help him!?"

Jack:"He doesn't want you guys to worry."

Yang(Angrily):"If he didn't want us to worry then none of this would've happened in the first place! And it's our job to look after each other and worry, that's a what a team is supposed to do, damn it!"  I yell back at him. I angrily slam the door behind me and go off to try to find him

(Your POV| 2 Hours Later)

Well you messed up BIG TIME after exploding at YANG...wow. You are quite surprised that Yang did not smash your face into a brick wall after saying that. And honestly you wish that she did so at least you wouldn't seems as big of a dick for leaving. The more you think about it, the more you realize that you should've just told them. But now you messed everything up, messed up your team trusting you, messed up being strong for your team, and messed up your relationship with Yang. You exhale loudly. It's late now. Stars are out and you've been out of the room for 2 hours. You lay down by the edge of Beacon's campus and watch the stars for a bit. You sigh as you feel like a total ass for just leaving gah...you look at your Ring and the bandages wrapped underneath it. Didn't feel the pain before but now there's this overwhelming pain coming from your finger, you slightly unwrap it to see that it still looks like ash. you rewrap the bandage and rest your hands on your face lying in your own stupidity. You hear footsteps approaching as you lift your hands from your face and open your eyes as you see Yang looking down at you. You sigh as Yang gives you a look with slight worry

Yang:"Hey..."

You:"Hey..come to talk to the ass who couldn't keep his temper in check?" You say while sitting up.

Yang:"Well I came to talk to the guy who was worried about his brother, had an overwhelming amount of stress built up and then had it explode when pushed too far." She says as she sits next to you while looking at you

You:"Look Yang...I...really am sorry for yellin-" Yang places her fingers to your lips

(Yang's POV)

Yang:"Hey, I pushed too far when I should've stopped when you asked us to...and I know you are, you just had a breakdown."

You:"Yeah a spectacular one especially considering the fact that I did it to the girl I like." He says while looking up at the stars. Not realizing that last part of his sentence. I smile lightly as he quickly realizes "I mean-! Wait I didn't mean to-!" I laugh lightly

Yang:"It's fine. Well to be honest it didn't help that I was so angry. I guess it was due to the fact that the guy I liked had just helped his little brother to not saying something personal." (F) look at me surprised, blushing slightly.

You:"I...you what?" Well...better just say it now

Yang:"Listen (F), I like you, alright?" (F) looks at me with wide eyes as both of us are blushing

You:"I like you too...which makes me feel like more of an ass for not telling you and just taking my anger out on you."

Yang:"Heh, well believe me, had you not been the guy I liked I would've thrown you through every wall in Beacon." We both laugh lightly

You:"Yeah I figured as much." We both look up into the stars

Yang:"(F)?"

You:"Yeah?"

Yang:"You know we're all a team now right?" He looks at me curiously "Granted for only a day but still, and as a team of course we're all going to be worried when something like this happens. So don't push us away next time, alright?" I say while looking into his eyes. He smiles lightly

You:"Alright. And Yang?"

Yang:"Yeah (F)?"

You:"Thank you." He says while laying back and staring into the night sky, I do the same as I lay right next to him.

(Your POV| 2 Hours Later)

Well after a lovely star-gazing and admitting of feelings moment with Yang. You both decided to head inside after a while. And even though everything is great with you and Yang you for some reason can't fall asleep. It's very late at night now and strangely enough everything is going well for your team now. Weiss came in and apologized and vowed to be a valuable member of the team to Ruby a while ago and then left to do something. Jack and Ruby made up and are now cutely sleeping again in the same bed(Specifically Ruby's bed). And you're just watching the bottom of the top bunk as you can't seem to go to sleep as so many things are moving through your head like how are you're going to protect your team from the likes of Team ICRS? What is going on with this Ring and why did your Semblance get stronger today? And what are you going to do about the weird daymares that you're having with a Man in a Cloak? And the thing is that you already took sleep medicine like an hour ago yet it still isn't taking effect...You sigh as you sit up you get up to go walk out the door to see if you can ease your mind someplace else.

Yang:"(F)?" You look back as Yang is sitting up in her bed. She scoots as she pats the bed and motioning for you to go over there. You reluctantly walk over and climb up on her bed and sit as you look at her curiously "Soooo, where were you going?"

You:"I was gonna clear my head since I couldn't really sleep."

Yang:"Nah, don't do that."

You:"Why not?"

Yang:"Cause it's like 3 am already and we need you to at least have a bit of sleep for tomorrow."

You:"Pfft, sleep is for the weak." You say as you nearly pass out from exhaustion before snapping back into reality "Well I guess I'm weak." You say as you smile tiredly

Yang:"Mmhmm. Sure. Hey just sleep here." You look at her confused

(Yang's POV)

You:"I uh...have my own bed now?"

Yang:"True. But just stay here, maybe you can get some sleep then?" He tiredly rubs his eyes

You:"Eeeehhh, I don't know." He says as he's already reclining and laying on his side

Yang:"Oh yeah, because a strong guy like doesn't need any sleep, right hun'?" I can see that he's beginning to close his eyes. This is hilarious as he continues to put on his tough-guy act.

You(Tired):"Yeah...tooootttaalllyyy. I don't need...any sleep at alll." His eyes seem heavy as he's smiling

Yang:"Well how about taking we just have a little rest, is that good with you?"

You(Tired/Drowsy):"Alright...I'll just sleep for...like 10 minutes" Yeah I think that sleep medicine just kicked in.

Yang:"Don't worry I won't tell anyone that you slept a little, m'kay?" (F) nods as he takes my hand and holds it

You(Tired/Drowsy):"Well...I guess. Hey Yang?" He says quietly as I place the covers over him as we cuddle up to each other. 

Yang:"Yeeesss strong person who doesn't need any sleep at all?" (F) smiles as he kisses me on the cheek as I blush

You(Tired):"I love you Yang..." I lay there shocked. His eyes close as he sleeps soundly. I smile as I kiss him on the cheek and begin to close my eyes

Yang:"...I love you too."
