(Helloooo there everyone, I am back finally! And oh boy! DO I HAVE SOME STUFF FOR THIS VOLUME! There will be a lot of heartbreak((And I think we all know the reason as to why our character is gonna be put through a lot of pain in this Volume)) Anywho I'm real excited to show what I have in store for this Volume in particular. Changed up the "Titles" of the chapters as by now ya'll know this is Yang Xiao Long x Male Reader by now...if not then I don't know how to help you. This should help a bit when navigating the Chapters in my story. Well without further ado, enjoy!)

(Volume 3) Chapter 1: Family/Festive Fighting

(Weeks after the Train Incident/Home)

Well after the whole 'father nearly killing you' thing, the whole 'you probably killed your father' thing, the whole 'Grimm invasion' thing and the whole 'SOPHIE' thing. You and your family reaaaallly needed to catch up. So you, your brother, and your sister are in your home eating sum' breakfast with your mom. She's silent and has a whole buncha make up on...which is strange for her.

Stella:"So...I 'see' you got new clothes huh? And have a ring on...what's with those?" She says while facing your direction.

You:"Uh...would you believe me if I said I bought them?"

Stella:"I probably would've if you hadn't led in with 'would you believe me' sweetie." DAMN IT! "Also I can feel with my senses that there's something ancient about those, specifically the ring so I wouldn't have believed you either way." DOUBLE DAMN IT!

You:"Well damn." She crosses her arms, still facing you. "Well, these came with becoming the Equinox."

Stella:"The what now?"

You:"The Equinox. It's basically a sacred item passed down to worthy heirs to wield its power. The Ring is how I access the power, the clothes just seem to be a way of controlling the strain on my body."

Stella:"I see...how'd this happen to you?"

You:"I uh found it in the woods?"

Stella:"Well that's specific..." So much sass coming from your mother.

You:"While I was out on the first training mission for Beacon I found it on a lone statue. Happy with the specifics mom?" She laughs lightly

Stella:"Very." You all eat breakfast for a little while as Jack nearly destroys all the food in the kitchen with his black-hole stomach. "And Sophie." Sophie looks up with a waffle in her mouth.

Sophie(Mouth Full):"Mmh-hmm?"

Stella:"How long will you be staying with us?" Sophie gulps down the entire waffle

Sophie:"Hard to say, Ma'am."

Stella:"No need to say, ma'am. I'm essentially your mother."

Sophie:"I know, force of habit."

Stella:"It's alright. What's your real reasoning as to why you're here, Sophie?"

Sophie:"Well if you really wanna know mom. I'm here because the Equinox is here." You all look over at her

You:"Wait, what?"

Sophie:"The Blades I have seem to have a very close relation to the Ring (F) has...don't know the reason why though. But after having the Blades for a bit I kept hearing the Equinox in my head over and over. It drove me crazy, kept talking about something big is beginning to occur. Even now, it seems like the blades just know that there's an imbalance, a feeling of dread in the air. My Lux Blade said 'A plan has been set in motion' right before I met (F) again at Mountain Glenn...weird right?"

Stella:"That's a bit of an understatement honey."

Sophie:"Yeeeaaaahh...so I guess I go where you go (F), considering these stupid Blades are quiet in my head around you."

You:"Huh..."The more she talks about the blades she has the more familiar they feel to the energy from the Ring.

Stella:"Kids...listen to me." You all glance at each other with worried faces before looking at your mother "Your father is never allowed to step foot in this house again." Well that honestly isn't surprising at all "It was obvious that this was a long time coming but it was only until recently where I finally gave up on him...the last sliver of hope I had in the man I used to love was demolished."

Jack:"What finally made you snap?"

Stella:"It was more on the lines that he snapped. I had to retaliate."

You:"What happened?"

Stella:"He came here, a few days after that Grimm invasion in Vale. He was incredibly injured. And outrageously infuriated. He stormed in, his weapons drawn, yelling for you all to come out. Of course, the only one in the house was myself and Sophie." You glance over at Sophie who's looking down "I told him to leave but he pushed past me and saw Sophie and went ballistic, I had to do something so I grabbed my old weapon from my Huntress days and slashed his back. He glared back at me and uh..." She wipes off most of the makeup on her face and arms, bruises and cuts are all over her face and arms...both you and Jack get up startled by this as your Ring glows violently. "He got quite a few hits on me." 

You:"I'LL FUCKING KILL THAT BASTARD!" You say while your eyes flare with Lavender and Cosmic Blue. Your mother gently holds both you and Jack's hands as she gestures for you both to sit down.

Stella:"It's alright, let me finish." You both sit down worryingly "After being beaten down Sophie came in ferociously. I still don't know what exactly happened. It's all a blur at that point only that I woke up on my bed with Sophie watching over me." You and Jack look at Sophie

Sophie:"I messed up Somnus really good afterwards and he ran off. Haven't seen him since."

You:"Why didn't you guys call us about this!?" 

Stella:"He destroyed my scroll and Sophie's scroll so there wasn't much we could do after the incident."

You:"Well I swear to you, he will never lay even a finger on you, you deserve so much more than him."

Stella:"He used to be all I asked for...he seems corrupted beyond all measures now. And thank you (F) but I'll be fine, as your mom I'm more worried about that Vytal festival coming up."

Jack:"Eh, since the way we got into our team was pretty odd, we aren't able to participate."

Stella:"Which is why I pulled some strings up in Beacon."

You:"Wait, what?" Stella flashes a smile

Stella:"I was once a student there too, most of the professors there used to be classmates of mine. And I was good friends with some highly influential people at Beacon. So I asked them to do you both a favor.

You:"And that favor was?"

Stella:"To let you two participate on the doubles round."

You:"I uh...but what if our team lose in the Team battle? Even though they most definitely aren't going to."

Stella:"Well that's the thing, you guys won't be fighting for your Team, you'll be fighting for yourselves and technically only Beacon as you were never supposed to be on their team in the first place if it wasn't for Ozzy" Ozzy? "So there's a possibility you might actually have to fight your teammates if the brackets line up that way." Your eyes widen.

Jack:"WELL THAT SOUNDS PLEASANT!"

Sophie:"Ah, you'll be fine! I'm sure they won't beat you up THAT badly. Though here's hoping I get a front row seat to that!"

Stella:"Well since you're here I did take the liberty to get you a seat at the Tournament if you want to, only for the final 1v1 brackets though, all the other brackets were all completely sold out."

Jack:"Well what about you?"

Stella:"Well one, I'm blind so I won't be missing much and two, I never really enjoyed being out in giant amounts of crowds as it sorta overloads my heightened senses so I'm good with just listening to it at home." Your scroll beeps as a message pops up saying that you and Jack need to head off back to Beacon. 

You:"Well we need to head out."

Jack:"But before that!" Jack runs over and hugs your mom along with Sophie, you walk over to them while smiling and join in the family group hug. "Love ya mom!!!"

Sophie:"You're the best mom ever!!!"

You:"Thanks mom!" Your mom smiles

Stella:"Stay safe out there, okay boys?" You both nod as you and Jack begin running out the door waving back

You:"No promises!" You yell as you and Jack begin heading back to Beacon.

(Days Later|Start of the Vytal Festival Tournament)

You and your team have just all arrived at the coliseum, late. Ruby had some private business to take care of so your team has already missed a few matches that have taken place, nevertheless, you're all staring into the fighting arena as you glance at your teammates to see that Ruby looks worried, Weiss seems anxious, your girlfriend is definitely excited, and Blake's the same as she usually is. Your brother seems a bit disappointed due to him not being able to compete for victory for his team but you're sure that he'll get over it eventually.

You:"What's with all the bummed faces? You all should be excited for this!" You say as everyone looks over at you. Yang flashes you a smile and gives a thumbs up

Yang:"Yeah! We've been training all year for this! We don't need to worry about what these other teams can throw at us."

Ruby:"You're right. I just wished that ALL of our teammates could join us in this." Jack sparks over to her and lovingly kisses her on the forehead

Jack:"Meh, don't worry about us. Just be sure to win for the both of us, we'll be cheering for ya!" They smile and nod as they begin to walk into the fighters section. Yang stops before running back and giving you a big hug. You hug her back as you both smile at each other

You:"I know you of all people don't need it but, good luck honey." You kiss her as she pulls away and smiles

Yang:"Thanks hun'. I'll be sure to be thinking of you when we win this." She winks at you before she runs back to the rest of the team as Jack sparks over to you, out of breath.

You:"...Where'd you run off to?"

Jack(Tired):"I ran around the entire arena searching for our seats and I CAN'T FIND THEM!" You hear a whistle. Which is surprising considering the enormous crowd roaring with cheers. You both look down to see Sophie sitting a few levels below you, waving at you. "And OF COURSE the seats were underneath us this whole time." You wave back to her as you make your way towards the seats and sit down in a row of empty seats reserved for your team.

You:"Hey Sophie." Sophie smiles

Sophie:"Hey (F), hey Jack. You guys are late!"

Jack:"Well Ruby was dealing with some personal things this morning so we arrived a bit late. Did we miss anyone we know?"

Sophie:"DUDE YOU MISSED THIS ONE TEAM FROM YOUR SCHOOL THAT ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHED A HAVEN TEAM!" Huh, interesting.

You:"Really? Which team?"

Sophie:"I don't remember their names but they were on an entirely different league despite the other team having more years of experience. One wasn't affected by any attacks, one was sending out pillars of light like it was no one's business, this one dude seemed to cancel any Semblance thrown at him and the last guy took them all out in seconds. He looked like he was everywhere at once with his warping. It was insane." ...ICRS. "God those guys were cool!"  You roll your eyes

You:"Those guys are bad news." Sophie raises an eyebrow in confusion "That team you were talking about was ICRS, they're the troublemakers in this school, well all of them except for Caedis, whose goal I can't seem to get." Another match is starting to begin, you can hear Professor Port and Doctor Oobleck's voices through the intercom but can't hear them due to the thunderous applause.

Sophie:"Well my blades were saying something about them but I wasn't paying attention to them."

You:"...Great. Also, how are you here? I thought mom said you only got tickets for the finals?" 

Sophie:"Well I might've 'asked' the person sitting next to you all to uh kindly give up his seat." She smiles innocently.

You:"...What'd you do to that poor man?"

Sophie:"Well that kindness part was a kind of a stretch as I may or may not have been wielding my Nox blade during the encounter. But that's beside the point."

You:"Sophie, you can't go around threatening people with a oversized key."

Sophie:Who says I can't!?"

You:"I say you can't!"

Sophie:"You don't own me!" The next match up beings to start so before you could even yell at your little sister's...crude behavior she's already sucked into the fight. After a few matches of your sister loving the brutality of your fellow huntsmen in training and Jack freaking out about how cool some of the fighters were, Port announces the next match. 

Port:"And now for our next match up!"

Oobleck:"Yes for this match up we have Team RWBY, of Beacon against Team ABRN, of Haven!" You and Jack both look closely

You:"Yes! Finally!" You see both teams enter the arena as both you and Jack applause loudly with the roar of the crowd. You can tell that Ruby's hating the fact that an entire stadium full of people is watching her. However your lovely girlfriend is loving this as she's waving to the crowd as you make yourself apparent in the crowd by causing mini explosions in your hands with every time that you clap. She notices this and waves excitingly as you give her a thumbs up with a big smile on your face. She blows you a kiss and winks at you as 'catch it' as you hear Sophie gag.

Sophie:"Oh Gods that love junk between you two is just-" She gags again "Makes me sick from all the sweetness." You ruffle her hair as you smirk down at her.

You:"Mmhmm, you say that now but way till you get a person you love that feels the same for you."

Sophie:"You act like that's actually going to happen. And I'll have you know that being single is great!"

You:"That's what every lonely single person says to make themselves feel better, Oreo." Sophie gets visibly annoyed at the mention of that old nickname of hers.

Sophie:"Freakin' hate that nickname no, don't bring it back!"

Jack:"From now on I am ONLY going to refer to you as Oreo."

Sophie:"I hate all of you!" You both smile at her annoyance before focusing back in on to what Port is saying

Port:"Ah yes, this will surely be a match to tune in to folks!" Team RWBY ready their weapons as Team ABRN does the same. You sure hope they'll be alright...though you have hope in your team. You see holograms appear above the stadium, it begins to shift through terrains for the match up. One lands on Ice.

You:"Well that would've been good had I been there." The other one lands on fire ironically enough. "And that ALSO would've been very good had I been in this match!"

Jack:"Ugh..it's like the stage is mocking us." Jack groans in disappointment

Port:"The match starts in 3!" You glance over at Yang as she's getting pumped

Port:"2!" She looks over at you with a smile on her face, she winks at you

Port:"1!" You smirk while nodding at her as she nods back and focuses on the threat in front of her.

Port:"Begin!!" As soon as he yells that both teams explode towards each other and the match officially begins.

You watch as both of the teams unintentionally go into a 1v1 style match. Ruby blocks a shot coming at her before spinning her Crescent Rose around her before slamming it into the ground to fire a shot back at the incoming fighter. As she blasts towards the opponent you see Blake behind her who just flipped backwards to avoid an attack before dashing to her opponent as Weiss activates her Semblance sending chunks of ice to her opponent as Yang flips backwards as her opponent slams her fist into the ground beneath her causing the floor to burst with flames shooting upwards before Yang lands on the ground and fires two shots at her...Huh that girl actually held her own against Yang.

Port:"Hoho! It seems that we have another astonishing bout ahead of us! Wouldn't you agree professor?" You can actually hear them now as you glance up at the massive screens showing their faces with massive speakers.

Oobleck:"Doctor." He says sternly. ""And yes Peter, I think it's safe to say this match may be the closest we've seen of the four-on-four round of the tournament!" You wonder how many matches you and Jack missed exactly before your team arrived.

Port:"For those of you just now joining us, welcome to the Vytal Festival Tournament, broadcast live from the Amity Colosseum!" Little late with the introductions there you think to yourself...But there's probably a couple million people all watching around the world so it's probably for the best to reannounce a welcome to any new watchers, or the loads of people still endlessly pouring in from airships outside the coliseum.

Port: "If this is your first time watching, allow us to break down the rules." The screen shows that a hologram has popped up next to Doctor Oobleck and Professor Port

Oobleck: "The tournament is divided into three distinctive rounds; teams, doubles, and singles." The hologram shows a tournament style board showing the teams going from teams to doubles to singles. "Age and school year are irrelevant! In this tournament, your only attribute being tested... is skill." He says while adjusting his glasses. Did...he really need to readjust his glasses for that line or was that just for dramatic effect? You're gonna guess and say it was for dramatic effect.

Port:"Correct! The winners of this battle will elect two of their members to represent them in the doubles round, followed by the winners of that round choosing one member to advance once again. The remaining combatants will then fight their way through the final bracket in the hope of achieving victory for their kingdom!" The hologram disappears with the image of a victorious figure, sword raised and wearing a crown

Oobleck:"And yes, Peter, these certainly are some spectacular spectacles on which to spectate on!" Welp that's a mouthful "I don't think anyone tuning in around the world is going to disagree with me on that!" Just how many people are watching this event of teenagers fighting each other!?

Port: "Ahh, and why would they? Now, let's get back to the match between Team RWBY of Beacon, and Team ABRN, of Haven."

You focus back on the fight as Reese -you can see their names now on the screen- steers her board through the icy terrain as you remind yourself how simple it would be for you to be in that terrain. Moving on, she twirls herself until the board gets launched at Blake, but Blake is able to knock it away, only for Reese to throw it back at her. Blake blocks it again as the board rotates back to Reese just in time to defend herself as Blake delivers several slashes and kicks. Reese deflects each attack and spins her weapon around until she can flip way and ride it again, rushing towards a smirking Blake. She collides with a frozen shadow clone of Blake's that you did not notice before...guess that was the point huh? Blake uses this opportunity to slice the board in two, only for the halves to become dual katars that fold up into bayonet-bladed revolvers. Reese manages to fire off a few green rounds before her tailbone collides painfully on the cold ground. Ouch...You can see Blake wince, that's gonna hurt later, but at least it immediately has some ice on it?

Meanwhile, Yang lands mere feet away from Arslan, who backs away before being pounded by a flurry of punches and kicks until she delivers her own hits, ending with the two smashing fists and creating a shockwave of force from the impact...you REALLY want to know the full limits of Arslan's strength considering she's holding up against your very powerful girlfriend. Anywho, Yang and Arslan are both thrown back by the shockwave, but Yang reaches her and tries delivering more blows before Arslan uses her rope dart to tangle up Yang and land a kick of her own to send Yang skidding on the ground. While Yang tries to get her balance back on the slippery surface, Arslan rushes forward and knocks her back even further. You go on the edge of your seat as you focus in.

Nearby, Nadir Shiko tries aiming with his assault rifle at Yang before a sudden burst of frosty blue explodes behind him and leaves him in a block of ice up to his thighs. You look back to where the shot originated to see Ruby look up from her scope. She yelled something but you can't hear her with this massive amount of cheering engulfing your senses. Jack seems to have heard it perfectly fine.

You:"Jack, any chance you can spread some of that precise senses to me?" He raises an eyebrow intrigued.

Jack:"Well I can try? This was given to me by mom so I guess I ould try to spread it onto you for a bit." He places a hand on your shoulder as he focuses and you hear a high-pitched ring in your ear as you can clearly hear them on the field now. "T-this is pretty hard so I'll only be able to do this up until the fight ends."

You:"Well thank you either way."

Sophie:"Oh, so I don't get to hear this fight!?"

Jack:"I'm struggling with sharing this to just one person, how do you expect me to get two!?"

Sophie:"Find a way!"

Jack:"I literally JUST figured out I could do this and it's pretty damn difficult so you're gonna have to deal with it!"

Sophie:"Ugh fine!" You all focus back in on the fight

Bolin:"But who's got yours?" One of the team members of ABRN is behind Ruby as she looks up behind her as Bolin twirls his staff, right when a black snowflake glyph appears to his left and Weiss kicks him through it into a rock.

Ruby:"My BFF!" Again why of all people, would you have Weiss. FREAKIN' WEISS as your best friend. Oh well, your leader is pretty strange.

Weiss:"No." she says before walking away.

Ruby(whispering):"Yes!" She fist pumps a little in innocence which brings a little smile on your face.

Bolin crouches with his weapon as he sees a white glyph appear in front of him. A second later, Weiss dashes by and slashes at him, then leaps up and attempts an aerial attack, which he's able to block. She readies her sword while preparing a glyph behind her, and Ruby uses it to launch herself straight up and come down spinning on Bolin, who manages to block the curved blade. Ruby grimaces and blasts herself away to Weiss' side, and Bolin rushes at them, rolling away from the shards of ice that rain on him and jumping over Ruby's swing as he continues running.

Ruby:"Whaaat!?" Damn that dude's pretty athletic.

Bolin manages to reach an orange crystal deposit and slice off a shard, which he throws to Reese over in the icy half of the stadium. With Dust in hand, Reese fuses it with her board, turning the aqua lights to a crimson shade. She winks at Blake, then uses the board's heat to free Nadir from his icy trap.

She comes back to Blake and slams her board into her enemy's blade, but propels herself backwards and knocks Blake through a frozen pillar. Reese attempts to use her board to slam her foe into the ground, but when she dodges that, she spins around in a flaming arc that Blake narrowly misses thanks to her shadows. Changing tactics, Blake launches the pistol part of Gambol Shroud at a nearby glacier and launches herself behind it, as Reese follows her and sees Blake with her back turned to her under an arch. Reese grins before riding in to deliver a flaming spiral at the shadow clone, only to see the ribbon Blake is launching to trap her opponent a moment too late. She pulls tightly and causes Reese to slam body-first into the string, only to use a final kick to knock her out of the stage. Reese crashes into the wall of the stands before landing on the ground, defeated as Reese's Aura level drops in the team display until her image is crossed out and she angrily slams her fist on the ground 

Port:"Ooh, a double whammy! Reese Chloris is eliminated by ringout and Aura level!"

Oobleck: "Oh, she really should've worn a helmet!" 

Now back in the fight, Arslan uses her rope to swing around and avoid Yang right behind her, using shotgun blasts to propel herself forward. Nadir comes in aiming his rifle at Weiss as she summons another glyph and launches Bolin at him. The two teammates are helpless as Weiss creates a whirlwind from underneath them and slamming the two together until she forms a giant ice fist straight up from the ground to trap the two...You don't remember her being able to do that...then again you haven't really seen the full extent of her power yet, so you're not sure. It reforms itself into a ball that rolls around the field, and when Arslan sees her team in this state, she rolls her eyes, annoyed, before changing direction and sliding into the path of the ball. She readies her stance and drives her hand into the sphere, which cracks under her power and frees her allies. Damn she's strong. I mean, probably not as strong as Yang but still that was pretty impressive considering she didn't have to throw a temper tantrum unlike Yang in order to gain that much strength.

Weiss: "Yang!" Yang turns to look just as she creates a large frozen slide-like shape"NOW!"

It's a move you've seen them attempt to do countless times during training, Yang blasts herself forward and skims over the wall of ice, catching Blake's pistol as her Yang uses Ruby as a launch pad to jump off of towards the remaining members of ABRN. The three look terrified as Blake whips a screaming Yang around to land a devastating punch that sends the three flying into a lava geyser, eliminating them all.

You/Jack:"HELL YEAH!" You both yell triumphantly and give each other a high five. 

Yang:"Yes!" Yang waves to you all before blowing you a kiss. You smile triumphantly as you continue cheering.

Port:"And that's the match! Team RWBY is victorious!"

You:"GREAT JOB GUYS!!!" You yell at the top of your lungs but even then you're sure that they can't hear you with this thundering applause.

Weiss:"We... did it?" She looks around surprised

Ruby: "WE DID IIIIII-" she yells while jumping in the air

Cut to Fairgrounds

Ruby:"Iiiit- is anyone else starving?" You're all in the fairgrounds after your team won to celebrate Ruby is now hunched over.

Blake:"I may have worked up an appetite." A massive growling in her stomach similar to that of a Grimm proves that...Weiss throws her arms up

Weiss(Sarcastically):"Gee, if only there was somewhere on campus to get food around here...Oh, wait." Ruby moves over to Yang and takes her shoulder.

Ruby:"It's okay, Weiss, I forget about the fairgrounds, too." Sophie laughs lightly.

Weiss:"I was being facetious." ...You actually don't know what that means...neither does Ruby, she freaks out a bit.

Ruby:"Gah! Well if you were hungry, why didn't you say so!?" You glance at Jack as he sighs as he suddenly realizes the type of girl he's dating is completely oblivious just like him. It's so great that they have each other to work through their obliviousness together.

Yang:"Come on! I know just the place." You all follow behind Yang, and you glance back as you see that Weiss has stopped as she's glaring at her Scroll, someone's calling her yet you can't quite make out who it is. The rest of the team continues walking as you slightly lag behind and call out to her.

You:"...You coming along Weiss?" She quickly declines whoever was calling her and places her Scroll away and looks at you.

Weiss:"Hmm? Yeah, just taking care of something." You nod as you both catch up to Yang and the others. As you both get near your team you notice Emerald and that she's holding up Ruby's wallet?

Emerald: "Hey! Might be hard to eat withOout this."Ruby realizes that it's hers and begins frantically patting around her outfit, panicking. You've felt like you've known Emerald for a long time despite only knowing her for a few months...which wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the fact that your Ring seemingly wants to kill your finger by burning your skin everytime you're near her or one of the other members of their team...though you've never seen the fourth member as you've talked to Mercury who's a total dick and Cinder who despite her looks worries you the most. And still you've never met their last member. What causes you to be worried about them is the fact they're always talking to Team ICRS in the halls.

Ruby:"No, no, no, no!!" Emerald laughs

Emerald:"Good to see you, Ruby." Ruby takes back her wallet.

Ruby:"Oh! Thanks, Emerald! Oh. Guess I dropped it. Girl pockets are the worst!" she slouches over after saying that.

Yang:"What's up, Em?" Oh God you forgot that Yang actually likes her because she's a good sparring partner...

Emerald:"Just left the stadium after your amazing fight! You guys were awesome!" Ruby begins blushing and mumbling over that

Ruby:"Oh, shut your stupid little face."...Anyways, Blake begins to talk over Ruby's inconceivable mumbling

Blake:"I heard your team progressed to the next round too."

Weiss:"You know, I feel that we haven't seen your other teammates." You remain quiet as you study Emerald as she seems to notice this but keeps her calm composure.

Yang:"How'd they do in the fight? Emerald tilts her head up in thought before answering (Cue backflash here).

Emerald:"Really well."

Ruby:"That's great. Uh. Why don't we all go and get a victory food together." You feel like that's a bad idea...

Emerald: Oh, gosh, that's so nice of you, but my teammates are all kind of..."You all look back at Mercury as he sniffs the inside of a boot, looking confused after he does it."...introverted. Really socially awkward."

Yang (nodding):"Ooh, yeah, I could see that..." Emerald looks past you and sees Sophie. She smiles as Sophie looks uncomfortable.

Emerald:"And who might you be little girl?" Sophie slightly hides behind you shyly...which is odd considering her rather confident personality lately.

Sophie:"Sophie..." Emerald smirks as her eyes narrow slightly.

Emerald:"Pleasure to meet you. You seem very young to be in this school."

Sophie:"I'm just visiting these two." She gestures to both you and Jack. Emerald thinks to herself

Emerald:"Ah I see, well I hope I get to know you better before you have to leave!" She says innocently. That put you waaayyy on edge as you smile and walk in front of Sophie in a way that doesn't seem hostile but to draw attention away from her.

You:"So Emerald, any idea as to who you're sending into the doubles round?"

Emerald:"Oh right! looks like Merc and I are going to move on to the doubles round. What about you guys?"

Ruby:" Well, as the leader of this team, I thought long and hard about this decision." Weiss pops in

Weiss:"We put it to a vote." Ruby stammers nervously a little 

Ruby: "B-but I. Yes, so, but I decided that we should put it to a vote."

Blake:"We voted for Weiss and Yang."

Emerald:"Hmm...why not (F) and Jack?" she smirks at you as you just barely have a sense of annoyance in your face. And it looks like Emerald noticed as she smirks. 

Yang:"We WOULD'VE buuut since they aren't allowed to participate in the tournament they have to sit this one out."

Jack:"Well actually we uh...are kinda in the doubles matches by ourselves." Everybody turns and looks at him confused, with Emerald looking VERY intrigued.

Ruby:"Wait, what!?"

You:"Yeah. We've been admitted to fight for ourselves and not our teams in the Doubles match so it's uh...possible that we could actually fight you guys..." The team looks at you in shock. Emerald seems to be taking mental notes as she looks down slightly.

Yang:"When'd you learn about this information!?"

You:"Like a few days ago?"

Ruby:"And you didn't tell us this!?"

Blake:"Is that even legal?" 

Emerald:"Hey, you guys should just accept it as it is and feel happy for them! After all, this is a very special occasion for them to represent their team."

You:"Well we aren't gonna be representing our team so that'll be up to Yang and Weiss to do that. So if we end up fighting that'll be uh...awkward to say the least."

Weiss:"Either way I will happily represent Team RWBY even if I have to take down OTHER members of team RWBY." 

Yang: "Yeah, we're going to kick some butt!" she says releasing you and pounding her fists together. "...Perhaps yours but still!!!"

Emerald: (laughs) "Well, if Mercury and I see you down the line, don't think we'll go easy on ya." Emerald smiles confidently as Yang does the same.

Yang:"Wouldn't have it any other way." Emerald turns and walks away from you all as Sophie whispers into your ear.

Sophie:"There's something VERY off about her...I really hope you don't end up fighting her..."

You:"Me too..." Gah this is a mess...

Emerald: "Alright, well we're going to catch some more fights." Ruby waves as she walks away.

Ruby:"Have fun!" This tournament will certainly be interesting...You all turn to walk to get food...You look back and see Mercury talking Emerald about something...You nudge Jack

You:"Hey help me hear their conversation real quick." He raises an eyebrow confused but places a hand on your shoulder as you hear them

Mercury:"So, how are the new friends?"

Emerald:"I hate them."

Mercury:"Orders are orders." 

Emerald:"I just... how can they be so happy all the time!?"

Mercury:"Did you at least get what we want?"

Emerald:"It's the heiress and the bimbo. But there's some very good news for us." Ok. You're VERY pissed off due to that remark for Yang.

Mercury:"Oh really now?"

Emerald:"Looks like the brothers are fighting after all..."

Mercury:"Ooh, she'll be quite happy to hear about that."

Emerald:"And most importantly. The Cordis is here."

Mercury:"In the same place as the Equinox? This is going MUCH better than we anticipated."

Emerald:"Yes..." She glances back as you glare at her as she flashes a smile "It is..." They walk away as this situation seemingly gets worse and worse
