''That act of betrayal did not sit well with me darling. Injecting me with wolfs-bane. Seriously! I'd rather have you stab me in the back!!'' he walks closer to me and I move back until my back touches the barrier.

''This is not you Sebastian, please stop this nonsense.''

''Ohhh darling, but this is me.Did you know that I came here for revenge. The night I first saw you; I was just running by the borders marking my positions when I caught sight of you in your room. Truth to be told I was mesmerized by your beauty, I just wanted to stand there and watch you all night,'' he says and proceeds to rub my cheek with his fingers.

''Get your hands off of her you bastard!!'' I hear Theo shout. The others have now come out from their hiding place and are watching the scene taking place.

He ignores Theo and continues, ''I kept coming back to watch you but on the third night you called him,'' he points to Theo, ''my blood boiled from seeing him there with you and I ran when I saw you all coming after me.''

''You.... you...how...we went there but there was no scent, why?'' I question him.

''Well darling you see; I have been planning this for the past four years, I looked for the witches and told them of my plan, they already hated my uncle so they did not need much convincing. and so they made me a talisman that concealed my scent, '' he says and reveals the talisman that hung around his neck.

''Everything was set when I came back, I got accepted into the pack and my brother forgave me. I was to let this charade go for like two months and then kill Theo. But then I met you, I had to spend more time with you and the more we talked, the more we argued, the more we hung out; I fell in love with you and that Athena, was my only mistake, which is why my plans got delayed.''

''This is crazy Sebastian, we were friends; I thought of you as a friend, I cared for you as a friend!''

''You see that's the problem Athena!!'' he yells, ''you only saw me as a friend but I love you, I love you so much that once this all goes down, I want you by my side darling, as my Luna and together we will rule over this pack! I do have big plans for you.''

My mind flashes back to the time the rogues attacked Shadow and the conversation with the rogue I stabbed. She told me her boss had big plans for me; she meant Sebastian, damn it!

''You're crazy to think that I'll ever be with you Sebastian, right now I hate you; I hate you so much,'' I growl at him and using all my strength push him out of the circle. 

''You've killed people. Innocent people!! That's why the cold blue eyes, isn't it? Admit it! Admit it goddamn it!!''

He chuckles at my outburst, ''You know, there is a fine line between love and hate, sooner or later; you will cross it,'' and he walks back in. 

''and yes, I did kill them and I enjoyed it too. What are you gonna do about that huh? it's not like their coming back.''

''I sent the rogues to attack you guys and when you managed to capture one of them,I sneaked into the cells and killed him, I followed you around the pack and saw you reveal yourself to your friends, I planned Nadia's kidnapping and used Caleb's anger towards you to my advantage, I also made sure that you were exposed in front of everyone and that's why I instructed some rogues to target your friend because I knew that you would not let them come to any harm.''

My eyes widen at this, ''You are monster Sebastian. You planned to get Rachel killed!''

''Actually no, that one is not on me. the poor nurse was just collateral damage,besides which battle doesn't have those right? I instructed the rogues to hurt her but they got over excited and smashed her skull, you can't put that on me,'' he shrugs.

My anger gets over me and before I could stop myself I slap him hard on the cheek. ''You are sick!! I can't even look at you right now!!''

''Ohh but you don't have a choice darling, or what is it that Theo calls you? Love?'' he drawls and kisses me on the cheek.

My eyes connect with Theo's outside the circle and see pure rage in them and in that moment I know that he will kill Sebastian the moment he gets a chance and it will not be an easy death.

''So where was I love?'' he smirks.

''Don't you dare call me that, you understand?!'' I growl at him.

''Very well then, I will respect your decision darling. Better now?'' And I roll my eyes at him.

''You know all this hate that you have towards me, maybe you should change it to gratitude, remember I am the one who showed you the blood-root.''

Selene and Celeste gasp at this and their eyes widen in shock. Guess Sebastian doesn't even trust them.

I take this as an opportunity and look towards them, ''You see, he doesn't trust you both; he was using you this whole time!!! He is no one's friend, please, please help us,'' I plead at them.

Sebastian laughs like a maniac and grabs me by the arm, ''That's enough darling. Pull down the barrier!!'' he commands them and they do it.

''Now for the best part,'' he says, he partially shifts and his blue eyes practically glow under the moonlight and lets out a loud howl. His howl echoes through the night and then silence. Pin drop sillence.

''What is he up to now?'' I hear dad ask Benjamin.

''Why don't you look behind papa Robinson,'' Sebastian tells him. 

They all look back and I stand on my tiptoes, what I see leaves me weak in the knees. Rogues. Hundreds of rogues come pouring out from the forest.

Sebastian's grip on me tightens and he whispers in my ear, ''you will be safe by my side darling, I won't let them hurt you,'' and with that he drags me inside the cave with him.

''Let me go, you psycho!! '' I try to get out of his grip. Damn he is strong. I call my wolf forward and with the borrowed strength I push him and he's thrown against the wall. He recovers quickly and comes at me. ''I don't want to hurt you Athena, but you're leaving me with no choice.''

''You have no idea of how tempted I am to kill you right now, '' I growl at him, ''but I'll leave that honor to Theo,'' and just in time my mate rushes inside the cave.

''Love, are you okay?'' he asks worriedly and I nod at him.

He now turns to Sebastian and partially shifts, I see his claws extend and his eyes change to the alpha red color.

 ''Athena, go help everyone out there; I'll take care of him,'' Theo growls. ''Come back to me okay, '' I say and walk out of the cave, my eyes flashing red as I walk into the battle field.

''Athena princess, you okay?'' dad comes to my side. ''Yes dad, I'm fine.''

''Good, we need you on the battlefield, our warriors are on their way so for now we have to keep the rogues busy, you ready to do that?'' he asks and I nod at him.

''Until the very end dad?'' I ask him as I gear up. ''Until the very end princess,'' he whispers, ''now let's go roll some rogue heads.''

The whole area is covered in blood; it actually smells like death in the air. We continue slaughtering the rogues one by one. Our side is strong and that's why up to now we are all still standing, until I hear a roar echo throughout the field.

''Father!!!!!! No!!!!!'' we all turn to the voice and see Sean cradling a deeply wounded Benjamin.

''Oh goddess no..no....no please dad!!'' Michelle goes running to them and Ethan follows. When did she get here?

I also run to them and decapitate a few rogues who come in my way. By now Theo and Sebastian are outside the cave, both equally bruised. Theo has his hands around Sebastian's neck and vice versa.

''Snap my neck brother and I snap yours and then poor Athena will be left with no one by her side,'' he croaks out.

''I'd leave the worrying to me if I were you Sebastian, she is my mate after all,'' Theo replies and then proceeds to kick Sebastian and their fight continues.

''My...kids...I love you both....,'' Benjamin wheezes,tell your mother, I will wait for her on the other side,'' he holds both of his children's hands. ''You can't leave me, you have so much to teach me, father please,'' Sean sobs.

''You will make a great alpha my son,'' he pats Sean's cheek, ''and you, my daughter.... stop being so stubborn and go with your mate, live your life with him.... Ethan, promise to take care of my daughter,'' he raises his hand towards Ethan and he grabs it, ''I promise I will sir.''

Benjamin looks at all of us one last time and breathes his last. A lone tear escapes me and I kneel down by his feet. ''rest in peace Benjamin, you will be missed.''

''Athena watch out!!'' I hear Nadia scream and turn just in time to see a rogue coming towards me with a machete but Ethan comes in between and using all his strength rips off the rogue's arms, the metal clanging on to the ground, ''not my sister you bastard!''

I don't get a chance to thank him as more rogues attack, we continue killing them and ripping them apart piece by piece. When an unfamiliar stench reaches my nose; what the hell is that?

I turn my head towards the stench and see more people coming out of the woods, but they are different, they are not rogues.

''How did Sebastian manage to get vampires on his side?'' I hear Ashton shout.

''Vampires?? Vampires, seriously?? As if the rogues and witches were not enough!!''

''They are beautiful,'' the words slip out of my mouth as I gaze at them, ''that is so not the point Athena; they are here to kill you!! Charles shouts from somewhere on my left.

The vampires turn and charge at us, their eyes turn fully black and canines even longer than ours, ''not so beautiful now are they?'' he says as he walks up to me. ''ready to take them down my cookie?''

''Hell yes,'' I reply and run towards the vampires. They had speed at their advantage but we had strength.

Charles and I fought side by side, rolling head after head although one particular vampire was incredibly strong and it took a combined strength of Hazel, Charles and I to put him down. 

By the time we were done, I and almost everyone else is covered in blood. Theo has Sebastian in a choke-hold and everything seems to be in our favor. Dad, Ashton, Sean, Nadia and Olivia are all fighting in their wolf forms tearing the rogues apart when I hear Axel shout, ''Aiden, no!!''

I search for Aiden and see him walking towards Celeste in rage. ''Aiden wait....'' I call out but he ignores me. ''you take care on this side, I'm going after him,'' I tell Axel, he nods and transform into his wolf.

''Aiden wait, ''I run up to him, ''you can't just walk up to them; they are more powerful than us at the moment, she will kill you in a blink of an eye.''

''I don't care Athena; all this is because of them, if I kill her I will be avenging my father!'' he growls as we reach the place where both Selene and Celeste are standing. No other wolf is nearby and I'm guessing they have a protective barrier around them.

''Come here to die Argent,'' Celeste shouts and I see Selene smirk behind her. ''Why don't you come out from that barrier Celeste and we will see who dies?'' Aiden challenges her.

''You Argent men are so brave aren't you, but when are you going to learn that when it comes down to us versus you, it is a fight you will never win.''

''Says the one who is hiding behind a barrier like a coward, why don't you come out and fight me like a real woman,'' I threaten her and stand next to Aiden who hands me a dart filled with blood-root.

Celeste chuckles and steps out of the barrier, ''don't say I didn't warn you girl,'' and with that sends a blast of magic towards us. Aiden and I get thrown backwards and hit a tree hard.

I groan and get up rubbing my back. ''Athena you okay?'' Aiden asks as he gets up. Dad comes running to us. 

''Princess, you've got to help Theo, the rogues have latched on to him and Sebastian might get away. Go now! I'll stay here with Aiden.''

I run towards Theo and see him fighting off 5 rogues at the same time. Sebastian is leaning against a boulder gasping for breath, scratches and claw marks all over his face, damn! my man did a number on him.

I pull two rogues off Theo's back and start fighting them off. One of them removes a sharp blade and comes at me in full force, I use the second rogue as a human shield and his partner ends up impaling him.

I shove the dead rogue off and come face to face with the other one. ''it's a fight to the finish, '' I growl at him and he attacks. We exchange blows and punches and soon my knuckles start to bleed. I aim for his nose and throw a punch. He screams in pain as he clutches it; his eyes start watering and he staggers back. That's when I notice Sebastian trying to escape as he stands up and starts to limp away.

''Theo he is getting away!'' I shout at him and he turns to me, ''Come on love, let's go get him,'' Theo grabs my hand and we run after Sebastian.

But fate had other plans as the rogue that I punched comes at me from behind and slashes my back with his blade. A loud scream escapes me and I fall down on my knees. I could feel the blood seep through my clothes. ''Athena!!'' Theo shouts and turns to me, ''No!!! go get Sebastian, I'll be fine.''

He hesitates. ''Theo... go, now!!''

He halfheartedly leaves me and runs towards the limping Sebastian while I turn to my attacker, ''You shouldn't have done that, '' I growl at him and let my canines protrude, I can smell his fear as his eyes widen when he stares into my red ones. He falls to his knees sensing the power radiating from me and in a second, I separate his head from his body.

I return to my normal self and run towards Theo. I see him standing, looking down at a kneeling Sebastian. As I walk up to the pair Sebastian turns to look at me.

''All that blood looks good on you darling. It really brings out your eyes.'' I scoff at his pathetic attempt at flirting.

''They'll look even more good when I gouge out yours. Oh wait; you won't be able to see me then.''

He chuckles at this and says, ''maybe in another lifetime darling,'' and looks up to Theo; what are you waiting for brother, do it then; kill me!!''

''Gladly brother,'' Theo growls, he extends his claws, raises his hand high and slits Sebastian's throat. The blood splutters everywhere and Sebastian's limp body falls back.

I run to Theo and hug him tight, ''it's over,'' I say and he kisses my head, ''not yet love, come on.''

We run back to the where we left dad and Aiden but when we get there my whole world comes crashing down. ''Dad!!!!!!!!!'' I scream and run towards his now dead body.

''Nooo noooo please, dad no!! get up dad please.... we have to go home dad, get up!! Please wake up, wake up dad,'' I shake his body. A pair of arms grab me and I'm lifted off the ground. ''Ena, get a grip; he is no longer with us. Come here,'' Ethan whispers. I turn to hug him and break down. He rubs my back and tries to calm me down. ''How? how did this happen Ethan?''

''He went after Celeste and she used her magic to rip his heart out before he could even get to her,'' he explains.

''Why that vile woman,'' I growl as I channel my grief into anger and march towards her.

''Athena no!! You'll get yourself killed love,'' Theo grabs my arm and attempts to pull me back.

''No!! That witch bitch deserves to die and that too by my hands, let me go Theo,'' and I push him back hard.

''You killed my father!!!'' I yell as soon as I reach her, ''come out the barrier you cowardly woman!! Fight me! fight me!!'' I scream like a mad woman and see Selena shake in fear at my outburst.

Celeste walks out of the barrier and comes to stand in front of me; confidence oozing off her.

''Athena Robinson; the alpha female, with all that strength you possess but in reality you are nothing but a weak girl. You don't even know how to use your power.'' she sneers.

''I will show you who the weak one is,'' I growl at her and grasp her neck tight. She starts gasping for air and I increase the pressure when I see Selene chanting something from behind.

Just when i thought Celeste is dying I feel a sharp pain on my back as the wound from before starts stretching, a scream of pain escapes me which causes my grip on Celeste's neck to loosen.

''What are you doing to me?!!'' I manage to say and Selene gives me a sadistic smile. ''ohh nothing much, just a modified witch version of how salt and lemon feels like when applied on a fresh wound.''

''Stop it now!!'' I hear Theo shout at them as I wither in pain on the ground. He tries to come at Selene but her sister uses her magic to throw him back. ''Theo,'' I manage to croak out.

I see Celeste signal her sister and just as quickly as the pain came, it vanishes. I struggle to get up when suddenly someone rushes past me and tackles Celeste to the ground, ''Aiden, Aiden nooo!!!'' but he doesn't listen and starts throwing punches at her.

''Aiden get off of her, she will kill you,'' Theo shouts and starts to run towards his brother but hits a barrier. I see Selene holding her hands out trying really hard to hold the barrier up. Guess she is not as powerful as her sister.

''Too late Theo,'' I hear Celeste say as she starts chanting under her breath and we see Aiden levitating. She turns to us and an evil smirk makes its way on her face as he uses the same spell and rips out his heart. ''Aiddddeeeeennnn!!!''' a scream escapes me as his body falls to the ground.

A loud roar escapes Theo as he sees his brother's limp body fall. I turn towards him and try to go to him but I'm trapped inside the barrier. I see Nadia and Axel running towards us but she stops mid-way and clutches her heart. Oh goddess, she felt it; she felt Aiden dying.

I gather my strength, remove the blood-root from my pocket and get up. I stagger towards the two witches and grab Celeste by the neck. Selene looks at me, shocked that I was inside the barrier,

''bitch, you thought?'' I snarl at her and turn my attention to Celeste.

''You have taken so much from me tonight; it's about time I put you down.''

''Oh but Athena, I'm not yet done. What I have accomplished today is nothing compared to what Kevin did to my coven. Yes, we did work for Sebastian and he did call the shots but even he didn't know what my plan was along,'' Celeste sneers and my eyes widen in shock.

From the corner of my eye I see blood dripping of Selene's nose as she is unable to hold the barrier for too long. It's now or never and with that I plunge the blood-root filled syringe right into Celene's heart. At the same time, she starts mumbling unfamiliar words in Latin.

''Celeste, my sister, no......don't do this; it was not part of the plan!'' Selene yells but she ignores her.

My head starts to feel dizzy and my grip on Celeste loosens, ''This was always the plan sister, I just didn't tell you,'' she croaks out and starts shaking violently as the poisons seeps into her heart.

''Just know that even though you won, you still lost this war Athena Robinson,'' were her last words as she falls to the ground dead.

The barrier is brought down and the dizziness increases as I struggle for balance. Strong arms hold me up and a leathery, musky scent hits me hard.

''Athena!!!'' is the last thing I hear before darkness envelopes me and I black out.

A lot of characters died in this chapter, including Sebastian. He had it coming though.Also the witches outplayed him!
