I'm standing in front of the full length mirror inside the closet when Theo comes to stand on my left side. ''You're going to look good today sitting by my side love,'' He says as he places a kiss on my cheek. ''How long have you been waiting to say that?'' I ask as I turn to look at him. ''Hmm... let's see, ever since the first time you came for pack breakfast,'' he replies and I chuckle.

''Everyone is going see you up there today as my mate and their Luna, no more sitting at the corner table,'' Theo comments. ''You know I liked the corner table, it's where I met my friends,'' I tell him and he gives me a look, ''but I'd rather be sitted by your side for the pack breakfast,'' I conclude and walk away from the mirror to put on my shoes, when suddenly my phone rings.

''Athena, my precious,'' he voices and I roll my eyes.

''Scott,'' I reply in a monotone voice. ''What can I do for you today?''

''Well precious, I need to see your designs. So I'm expecting you to be in Toronto today with them,'' He says and I freeze.

''Today? in Toronto? But Scott, I can't come and how comes I wasn't notified a few days prior,'' I ask him seemingly shocked.

''Well Athena, someone from my office sent you an email 2 days ago. I just thought I should remind you since you never replied.''

Oh shoot, with everything going on I had not even checked my mails. I take a deep breath to calm myself down before I continue, '' okay so uhh Scott,here the thing; I'm currently not in a position to travel to Toronto is there any way we can postpone this?'' I ask with hope in my voice.

''I'm afraid we can't my precious, I have other meetings too you know. You're not the only business I manufacture for,'' He replies and I pinch the bridge of my nose in stress.

''But, since you're my favorite, I can bend some rules here and there. Tell me, where is the nearest place you can meet me?'' he asks and I sigh in relief.

''I can be in Vancouver in an hour,'' I reply.

''Perfect then, why don't I meet you there. I'll book my flight and we should meet in say like, 4hrs?'' he conveys. '' That's great Scott, thank you. I will not disappoint you,'' I tell him.

''You're welcome my precious. So we'll talk in 4 hrs; I know this amazing place that serves the best brunch and bottomless mimosas,'' He says excitedly.

''That sounds great, see you then,'' I reply and cut the call.

''My precious. I mean really, who is he Gollum?'' he remarks sarcastically and I can't help myself but laugh. ''Seriously Theo, you're jealous over Scott! Of all the people in the world. He is married,'' I state.

''So what if he is married love? He was clearly flirting with you and the brunch and bottomless mimosas! are not you not seeing it Athena,'' He practically yells and I have to suppress a laugh at his growing jealousy.

''I have been working with Scott for 2 years now Theo, I know his ways and I also know how to shut him down. So don't worry,'' I tell him calmly as I hug him and rub his back. He relaxes instantly and I pull him in for a kiss.

''By the way, you look hot when you're jealous,'' I say with a wink as I walk towards the door. ''Continue saying things like that and we're not leaving this room love,'' He says with a raise of his eyebrows and I smirk.

''Your pack awaits Alpha,'' and with that I leave the room.

We meet Charles half way towards the pack house. ''Ready for the high table Athena?'' he asks. ''I was born ready Charles,'' I say with a flip of my hair. ''Sassy Athena, I like it!'' He states and I give him a smile.

''So what will you do about Elena Cavanaugh; she's going around telling people that you've done some sort of spell on Theo into thinking he is your mate,'' He says as he tries but fails to hide his laugh. ''She's what now?'' I shriek as I look at him with wide eyes.

''Why that little piece of shit! She was already on my radar from the day she wiped that maple syrup off Theo,'' I start marching towards the pack house; anger boiling inside me when someone grabs me by my waist, pulling me to him, ''Let me go Theo, I need to put a bitch in her place,'' I grumble as his hold around me tightens.

''Easy love, you're making a scene,'' he whispers slowly in my ear. I take a moment to look around and see a few people staring. I compose myself and relax as he lets go of me. ''Good, now let's go have breakfast like civilized people okay, you need to leave for Vancouver too,'' and I nod in understanding.

We are currently seated at the high table having our breakfast when the she-devil walks in, sauntering as usual to the high table. She completely ignores me and walks up to Theo. ''Hey, handsome,'' she says in flirty voice as she leans forward exposing herself to him. What a whore.

Theo chose to ignore her and pulls my chair close to his as he entwines our fingers and kisses my hand. ''Elena, I'd like you to meet my mate and your Luna; Athena.'' He says with a smile.

''Ugghhh,'' she says as she turns to look at me with disgust. ''You can do better than this Theo. She is no Luna, just some wannabe who is after the position,'' she comments and I scoff, ''You pretty much described yourself girl, so how about you run along and make yourself scarce, We'd like to have our breakfast in peace,'' I reply coldly and she looks at me in shock.

''Theo, look at how she's talking to me, why don't you say something!'' she cries. ''I'd be gone by now if I were you Elena,'' is all he says as she harrumphs and turns to leave.

''You did good love,'' He says and kisses my cheek as we continue to eat.

''Aww look at you two. Athena darling you look majestic sitted up there,'' Lila gushes as she holds my face between her hand and places kisses on my cheeks. ''Thank you Lila,'' I reply. ''I'm so happy to see you up here, I used to feel so bad when you sat at that corner table,'' She continues and I give her a nervous smile as she returns back to her table where Aiden and Nadia wave at us.

After breakfast we hurriedly rush to the house and I pack for the day as I start grabbing the designs from my desk. ''Where will you be staying in Vancouver for the whole day love?'' Theo asks me, ''oh I got Nancy to book me a day room at a hotel, I've texted you the address just in case,'' I say hastily as I rush to the door to leave.

''Love?'' he calls and I turn to look back at him holding out a car key, ''you'll need it to get to Vancouver. Ray has it out for you already, it's parked by the highway.''

''Thank you, you're a life saver, I'll see you tonight, ''I say as I quickly take the keys from his hand and peck a kiss on his lips, ''Love you,'' and I rush out the door towards the borders. Theo had a ford mustang ready for me and a 'Whoooaaa' left my mouth the moment I saw it.

I start driving towards the city and decide to turn on the radio. A love song is playing and I start humming to it when realization sets in and I hit the brakes hard, making a loud screeching sound that echoes around the already remote area.

''Whaaaaatttttt!!'' I say out loud to no one in particular. ''Shit, shit, shit oh my god that did not happen!'' I yell as I place my head in my hands. If only I could travel back in time and stop myself from saying it, I shakily grab the phone from my handbag and let go of the breath I didn't know I was holding. No messages from Theo, oh thank you moon goddess. I begin to drive forward towards the city mentally scolding myself.

A few hours later and I'm sitted opposite Scott who has downed over 8 mimosas and is a little tipsy. ''Athena, my precious; these are wonderful, truly beautiful designs. But they are very little, I expected more options from you. With your past experience you have always delivered a ton of designs to me. Ever since you left Toronto things seem to have changed, don't you think?'' He questions and I nod in response. 'oh Scott you have no idea,' I say to myself as I continue nodding at him.

''Why don't you add more color to these designs, more florals even. I mean it's a summer collection after all. Just colorful scarves, dresses and tops with matching headbands won't work out. You've got to think summer my precious, add yellow, lots of yellow, make booty shorts; young girls like those these days and I stare at him dubiously. ''You want me to design floral booty shorts?'' I ask with a raised eyebrow. ''Why not it's the in thing,'' He answers casually with a wave of his hand.

''Okay, why don't we leave the designing to me and manufacturing to you,'' I say as I place both my hands on the table in irritation. ''Of course, the designer knows best,'' He smiles and takes a hold of my hands.

''You know you're very beautiful Athena, it's why I always insist on meeting you,'' He says flirtatiously and I pull my hands away from him quickly. ''Thank you for the compliment Scott, but I'm here on business and if we're done I'd like to leave, '' I smile as politely as I could and try to make a move.

''Oh my precious, what's the hurry. Have a seat; let's talk business then,'' He insists and I halfheartedly sit down. ''So when do I expect to have the designs?'' he continues, ''latest by tomorrow evening,'' I reply as I down my glass of mimosa and gesture the waiter for a refill.

If I'm seating here the whole afternoon with this man, the mimosas ought to help me. We sat for another two hours and I think I had reached my limit of listening to him say 'my precious.' I decide to walk around a little before heading back to my hotel.

As I get to my room I catch Theo's musky and leathery scent. 'What could he be doing here; I hope it's not cause of this morning, oh goddess what if it is. How will I face him? What will I tell him?' and from there my thoughts go on an overdrive. I walk to the bed and place my bag on it when I notice a little note laid down next to a very pretty burgundy dress.

''What's at 7?'' I wonder out loud as I fish out my phone and dial Theo's number. ''Hello love,'' he picks up on the first ring and says.

''You know you didn't have to get me a dress,'' I say nonchalantly. 'I wanted to,'' he replies and a smile instantly forms on my face.

''It looks gorgeous,'' I comment not knowing what else to say.

''It will look even more gorgeous on you. Dinner tonight so that I can see you in it?' He asks smoothly and a blush creeps up my cheeks. Smooth Argent, nicely done.

''Theo Argent, are you asking me out on a date?'' I question playfully. ''I believe I am love. So will you go out on a date with me?'' he asks correctly this time.

''I would love to,'' I reply. ''Great, see you at 07:00,'' He says and hangs up.

''Okay then, I have a date with my mate,'' I say to myself and glance at my watch; it's almost 6 so I guess I should start getting ready. After a nice hot shower, I start doing my make-up. I'm almost ready when I hear a soft knock on my door.

''Come in,'' I call and see Theo walking in, in a suit holding a bouquet of red roses. I almost drool at the sight of him in a suit but stop myself. ''Hey,'' I manage to croak out and he closes the distance between us.

''The dress is everything that I had imagined on you Athena, you look so beautiful,'' He says as he places a soft kiss on my lips. He hands me the roses and I pick my black clutch as we leave the hotel for dinner.

We arrive at this fancy Italian restaurant and I notice that Theo has booked us a private seating area with a view of the Vancouver skyline. I gasp and walk to the balcony, "oh my god the view is amazing,'' I squeal. ''Trust me I know, '' he says and I feel his gaze on me as a blush creeps up.

We're soon having dinner; I ordered a ravioli and Theo decided to order some fettuccine pasta. We're sipping on wine and munching on garlic bread as we talked about our childhood experiences and how life was for me growing up in the city.

I felt comfortable around Theo, I felt like myself; like I didn't have to hide away from him but most importantly I felt safe around him and that thought made my heart flutter as I remembered my fathers' words to me on my birthday. In that moment I felt what he said to me and I knew. I knew that I was in love with Theo Argent.

''Athena? Athena?'' Theo calls and I look at him, ''You zoned out love,'' He says with a chuckle and I mumble a sorry. '' So ummm hey, I've been meaning to ask where is Sebastian lately I didn't see him at breakfast today?'' I ask as I try to calm my nerves down.

''Really love? We're on a date and you want to talk about my brother?'' Theo questions while giving me an 'are you serious' look. '' Sorry," I say as I cover my face in embarrassment and look at him as we both burst out laughing.

''There is something I need to tell you, '' he says as I notice a nervous look on his face and I urge him to continue.

''I love you Athena Robinson. I have been in love with you from the moment you ranted about your claim at being treated as an equal at your house,'' He confesses and I stare at him with my mouthful of ravioli.

I swallow it forcefully and take a long sip of my wine. ''You don't have to say it back Athena, it's okay you can take your time. I just...I just want you to know, that's it,'' he declares. I look at him dumbfounded, his words still processing. How is this guy so okay with everything. How can I live without him knowing that I love him too. ''Athena...Athena.... are you okay? just say something love, anything please.''

''Oh damn you Theo for being so calm and understanding all the time,'' I say exasperatedly as he stares at me in shock.

''What? Athena, did I say something wrong, I'm sorry if I did. I didn't mean to offend you in anyway, '' he says hastily as he starts to freak out.

''Oh for god sake shut up!'' I yell at him and he stops. '' I'm trying to tell you that I love you too you idiot! I was just gathering the courage to say it back!'' I say and he freezes for a second before he closes the gap between us and kisses me hard.
