#6||Tomato Problem
A/N: Warning...there will be swearing (thank you, Romano). Just once (or twice?) tho.
...
Lovino
...
"Wake up, Lovino. We're going to be late for breakfast."
Lovino's eyes fluttered open, only to have a pair of amber green eyes look at him with a strange interest - one that Lovino had been trying to avoid for four years. He closed his eyes again and turned his back against the Spaniard, mumbling, "I'm still sleepy, go away, Antonio."
Antonio laughed genuinely. "Aw, but I wanted to head down to the Great Hall with you! Don't forget that you have Divination as your first subject...it would sure be disrespectful to be late during Professor Trelawney's class, wouldn't it? Considering that it is your first class for the entire school year."
"Shut up," Lovino muttered, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. As long as he had Antonio...someone who other than his brother who actually cared for him...he was contented. "Can I have five more minutes - agh, fuck you!"
Antonio's right hand gripped Lovino's curl gently, tugging it as soft as he can. Lovino's face flushed an embarrassing shade of red...it was something that happened whenever someone tugged on his curl. "Stop..." he said as he hugged the sheets tighter.
Antonio's tone still sounded playful, but a little stern now. "Wake up now or I'll keep on pulling it. Your choice."
Lovino sat up groggily whilst scratching his head, ruffling his hair and making it even messier than before. "I'd rather not let it be pulled at again, thank you very much," he said morosely.
Antonio grasped Lovino's hand and pulled him up. Lovino let himself be dragged - he was still too sleepy to move, anyway. Once when Lovino got on his own feet, he glared at Antonio, who offered him a mocking peace sign, and proceeded to switch his tomato-patterned pajamas into his Hogwarts uniform - a typical schoolboy uniform underneath his Slytherin robes. Lovino shouldered his schoolbag on his left shoulder and pocketed his wand on his right pants pocket. Once he was done, he followed Antonio outside the Slytherin tower and headed towards the Great Hall.
...
"Ah, Antonio!" Francis said as Antonio and Lovino sat down the Slytherin table at the Great Hall. "Mon ami, I thought you weren't showing up for breakfast!"
"Man, you're always the last among us three!" Gilbert laced his fingers through his hands and held them up behind his head. "You just can't leave the unawesome Lovino alone, can't you?"
"Problem with that?" Lovino snapped.
"I care for my Lovi," Antonio said told Francis and Gilbert. "I just don't want him to be late on his first day of school, that's all."
"You're not my father or some shit!" Lovino yelled as he immediately shot up from his chair to stand.
Antonio did his best to stare Lovino down. "Sit down, Lovino. You're creating a scene."
"I am not!"
Antonio grinned and leaned in close to whisper something in Lovino's ear. "Emma is just sitting at the other table. You do not want her to feel embarrassed for you, don't you?"
Lovino's cheeks turned as red as his tomatoes and sat back down slowly. Suddenly, he realized what he was doing and glared back at Antonio. "Hey, bastard! I don't even have crush on her anymore! I do have a crush, but it's on someone other than her! Someone who's kind, caring - gah, what am I even saying!"
Francis snapped his fingers. "Aha! So you do have a crush on someone! Who is it? Can you tell us? Don't worry, this secret will be kept between the four of us...I am a really reliable person you can definitely trust when it comes to love-" but Francis was cut off because Gilbert smacked him upside the head.
"Sorry," Gilbert said. "He was getting a little annoying."
...
Inside the Divination classroom were at least twenty round tables with chairs around it, bookshelves stacked with books, and countless silver glass balls and teacups. It was a sight Lovino was already too tired of seeing - he aced this subject his first year with high marks, but when the second and third years came, it was hell for him. Where had that first-year Divination skill he used to have gone to?
Lovino took the seat at the backmost part of the room, away from Feliciano and Francis. Apparently, Lovino had Divination with...them. He looked around for more people he didn't want to see, but apparently saw none, thankfully. Lovino noticed many little things about his classmates, none of which interested him but considered it as normal - Arthur already charging his crystal ball, Li Xiao just chilling in the corner, his feet on the table, and some others he wouldn't really care about.
Lovino opened his schoolbag to take out his notebook and quill, only to see a tomato with a green sticky note attached to one side. He ripped the sticky note from the tomato angrily, already guessing who it was from.
.
Dear Lovino,
Have a very merry first day of school!
Here's a tomato - I know you'll love it ;)
With love,
Antonio
.
"That tomato bastard!" Lovino cursed.
...
Gilbert snapped his fingers under Antonio's eyes in Herbology. "Antonio, what's up with you? You've been spacing out a lot since Lovino first entered school."
Antonio jerked back to reality as he set his sprout on the gardening pot. "Hmm? I have?"
Gilbert gave Antonio's shoulder a friendly punch. "Aw, c'mon! Haven't you been noticing things? You were late to breakfast today...you've been with Lovino a lot nowadays...you've been calling him strange Spanish things," he said.
Antonio shrugged and toyed with his wand, pointing it to random objects in front of him. "I'm sure there's no problem with that..."
Gilbert didn't seem to look convinced. "You've been...holy shieße, what did you do?"
Antonio's eyes suddenly widened when he looked at his sprout. It grew to be 10 ft long and spreaded towards the table beside him. "Ay, Dios mio..." Antonio face palmed.
"NOT AGAIN, CARRIEDO!" Professor Sprout shouted from the front.
