"What defines us is how well we rise after falling."

Sky stopped when he heard a scream, looking towards it, staring into the jungle he just got out of. He turned around, going back in. As he got deeper in, he heard voices, familiar voices. He heard the scream again and he tensed up. 'That's Seto.' He thought. He comes to Ravencross Ruins and stopped, hiding behind a tree.
"H-Harvey? ...Harvey!" He heard Rosani cry. He looked out and spots Seto in chains, he also notices Asthie being held by her arm from Tristan. His hands clenched into fists, gritting his teeth. 'Let's see. About eight dark mages, Seto's in no shape for fighting let alone standing, Asthie is just a kid and Rosani is too distraught over Seto to think about anything else. And there is no way I'll be able to message for help and I cannot get around them nor am I leaving them alone with Tristan. So looks like I'm doing this by myself. Wouldn't be the first time.' Sky thought. Sky drew his sword, holding it loosely in his hand. Tristan smirked.
"So you must be the Sky Army Commander? Right?" Tristan asked. Sky gritted his teeth again. Tristan chuckled. "I know you are here, you have a certain aura that is quite interesting. One of a kind, you might be fun. But putting that aside, I had the fortune of hearing what deeds you have done. I would never have expected for a human to be so powerful without the aid of magic or anything." Tristan looked over at the tree Sky's behind. "So don't you come on out, I respect you enough. I would say idolize actually." Sky hesitated but did walk over to between the trees. Rosani looked at Sky. Tristan smiled. "There you are. I'm sure Harvey has told you who I was, but who are you?" Rosani's eyes widen, she looked at Sky.
"A-Adam. It isn't what you think. He...He was—" Tristan laughed.
"Oh that's rich, he never told you who he really was?" Tristan asked. Sky looked at Rosani, he gave her a small smile.
"Don't worry, I overheard your guys conversation when you two thought I was asleep." Sky said. Rosani gripped Seto's torn shirt. 'He knew for that long, he knew who Harvey really was and he never...' Rosani thought. She smiles a bit.
"Thank you." She said. Sky looked back at Tristan.
"I'm disappointed, you knew who he was, which is Harvey Magi, and you are supposed to turn him in," Tristan said. Sky took a step towards them, his eyes glancing at the other sorcerers. 'I'm too out in the open, they could cut me down in one hit if I turn my back to one of them.' Sky thought. Sky stepped back.
"Don't mistake me for someone who would sell out his own friends. I would never do that, I know what it is like to want a second chance. Seto has never given me a reason to distrust him, him being Harvey Magi is something I get why he kept secret. I would too." Sky said. Tristan grinned.
"Everyone has secrets, Commander. Even you, what was that name?" Tristan asked. Sky gripped his sword handle.
"Don't you dare." Sky said. Tristan smiled.
"Oh, I haven't even said it yet and you are already mad at me. So, how is Alesa nowadays? Doing better than you ever could?" Tristan asked. Sky seemed to tense but he felt relieved. "Statilia is so much like her, it's pathetic knowing she has a crush on you." Sky's cheeks pinked a bit, his eyes looked away. Rosani looked at Tristan.
"Stop messing with his head!" She yelled. She looked at Sky. "Adam, Tristan loves manipulating people. Don't let him get the best of you like this!" Sky looked at Tristan. Tristan sighed, his arm lifted up towards Rosani and Seto. Sky felt his heartbeat rise.
"Your usefulness has run its course," Tristan said as a spell left his fingertips. Rosani gasped and puts her back to it, protecting Seto. She was expecting it to come, but she jumped when the spell crashed into the old fortress. She looked behind her.
"Adam.." She mumbled seeing Sky standing in front of her with the sword in both hands, facing Tristan. Tristan looked at where Sky once was and then is now.
"How did you move that fast?" He asked. Sky smiled a bit.
"Aren't you already suppose to know how since you idolize me?" Sky asked. Tristan turned towards Sky more.
"You really think you can stop me?" Tristan asks. Sky looked at Asthie and than at Tristan.
"No, but if you don't give me back Princess Ash than I just might." Sky said. Tristan rolled his eyes.
"You humans are always too cocky for your own good," Tristan said. Tristan's hand glowed. "And I know for a fact that you are going blind, so I'll take those sunglasses." Sky's sunglasses flew off his face and into Tristan's hand. Sky winced, he squinted before he closed his eyes.
"How do you know about that?" Sky asked. Tristan smiled and looked at the glasses.
"Like I said, you have this certain aura that I can sense off you. I'm sure Harvey has and your blindness is only a side effect of what you really are." He said. Adam about spoke, but Rosani grabbed his leg in a panic.
"Adam! Look out!" Rosani shouted. Adam flinched when he felt a gust of wind and a crash beside him. His eyes open.
"Statilia," Adam said. She smiled at him, she looked at Tristan.
"Give me those glasses back," Statilia said before they floated back to her and she gives them to Sky, who puts them on.
"Oh look, it's Statilia. I thought you hated Harvey." Tristan said. Statilia glanced at Seto and looked back at Tristan.
"I do, but you were gonna hurt Adam, and I won't let you hurt him." She said. Adam looked at her as Tristan chuckled, his hand glowed, the charging stones flew pass them and float above Tristan's hand.
"All this talk has given the stones enough time to stabilize Harvey's power in them," Tristan said. Adam looked at Tristan.
"You used charging stones on Seto? That's why he is so weak. How do you even know about those, those stones are new." Adam said. Tristan smiled a bit.
"At least you know what these are. I was told about these by a dark mage." Tristan said.
"What are charging stones?" Statilia asked.
"They are new, created by dark sorcerers," Adam said. He looked at them. "They were created a couple months ago, upon contact of any magic user would steal their mana and store it inside the stone. They are a good way to use needed power for rituals but they are never used for anything good. And but the amount he has and the condition Seto's in, he must have stolen almost all of his power." Tristan smiled.
"Yeah, I like them. They make it so I don't have to force him when I know he won't." Tristan said. Statilia looks at Seto.
"Is there a way to give his power back?" She asks. Adam nods.
"Yeah, we just have to get them back," Adam said. Statilia looked back at Tristan.
"That won't be easy." She said.
"Have a little faith," Adam said back. She rolled her eyes.
"Faith? I'm being realistic, Tristan is Vincent's friend and he won't go down with Tobias or Harvey to help us." Statilia said. Tristan grinned.
"She's right you know. But thanks to Harvey, that Prince doesn't remember who he is and Harvey can't fix that with him suffering from magic exhaustion." Tristan said. Sky noticed the dark mages getting closer to them, Sky turned a bit towards one that was close to him. Tristan chuckled. "But it was nice meeting you face to face, Commander. Kill them." Tristan turned away from them and grabbed Ash. She yelped.
"S-Sky! Jimmy!" She cried as they both went deeper into the jungle. Adam looked at Asthie. Sky backed up a step, slicing up at a sorcerer who tried to attack him. An arrow went into the sorcerer's head, Sky stood up straighter looking at the arrow, he smiled to himself. 'Mitch.' Sky thought.
"On your six, Sky!" A voice yelled. Sky turned around as Jerome chopped down another. Sky looked at Jerome.
"How did you guys get here so fast?" Sky asked.
"Ty's learning to fly, he is flying us across the Landbridge since it is unstable," Jerome said. Jerome turned to Seto. "Princess, grab his wrists, I'll break the chains." Rosani grabbed Seto's wrist, pulling on it before Jerome brought an ax to it, breaking them, he went to the other side and they cut the other chain off. Seto fell into Rosani's arms. She hugs him. She looks at Jerome.
"Tristan used charging stones on Seto, we have to get them back," Rosani said. Jerome nodded.
"That bastard. Mitch is following Tristan, we'll get them back." Jerome said. Sky grabbed Jerome's arm, pulling him as a mage attacked him. Sky cuts their arm, yanking Jerome behind him and then stabbed the mage in the chest.
"We are still being attacked, Jerome!" Sky said. Statilia looked at Rosani.
"Princess, you should get out of here!" She said. Rosani nodded, her wings extend out.
"Go to Sacura! They will stabilize Seto till we get the stones back." Sky said. Rosani nodded and puts her arms around Seto before taking off towards Sacura. Sky struck towards a mage that got too close. The five mages looked at each other and smirked.
"What are they planning?" Jerome asked. They all threw a spell at the three only to hit a shield that appeared around them and ricochet back at them.
"Cassandra!" Sky said as the mages went down. Cassandra, Jason, and Ian ran to them.
"You guys okay?" She asks. They nod but they heard a scream and a loud crash as the ground under their feet shook. Jason's eyes widen. Jerome coming to the same conclusion.
"That's Mitch!" Jerome said before him and Jason took off. The others following after them. As they drew closer, they heard another crash the ground shaking again. Jason spotted Mitch on the ground, holding his arm, covering with little cuts and a fallen tree behind him.
"Mitch!" Jason shouted. Jerome looked.
"Sky! You and the others go after Tristan! We'll protect Mitch since it is getting dark!" Jerome said. Sky nodded and Jerome followed Mitch, the others going after Tristan. Jason goes down beside Mitch.
"Mitch, you okay?" He asked.
"No, I-I think-Ah! I-I think my arm is broken." Mitch winced. Jerome kneeled down beside Mitch.
"Let me see it," Jerome said touching Mitch's hurt arm. He carefully pulled up Mitch's sleeve, showing his swollen arm. Jason nodded.
"Yeah, that's definitely a break," Jason said. Jerome looked at the fallen tree.
"What happened?" Jerome asked him as Jason torn his shirt and put Mitch's arm in a makeshift sling.
"He hit the tree with some spell and it fell, taking me with it," Mitch said. He winced when he moved. "Ah!"
"What else hurts?" Jerome asked. Jason looked at the tree and back at Mitch.
"You're lucky you weren't killed. That's a jungle tree, they are pretty tall." Jason said. Jerome looked at Jason. Mitch puts his hand on the ground, taking a second. Jerome looked at Mitch, noticing blood in his hair.
"Did you hit your head?" He asked.
"A l-little. I-I...I'm fine." Mitch said. Jerome moved Mitch's hair and he groaned in pain. "S-Stop, Jerome."
"Did you pass out at all?" Jerome asked.
"Only for a f-few seconds," Mitch muttered before he groaned. Jerome caught him when he swayed backward.
"I'm taking him to the Sacura Kingdom for a checkup for a concussion, you follow Sky and the others," Jerome said. Jason nodded. Mitch started to feel lightheaded. Jason gets up and picks up Mitch's bow. Jerome takes it. "Alright, let's go, Mitch." Jerome picked Mitch up in his arms, Mitch resting his head on Jerome's shoulder. "Be careful, Jason." Jason nodded before Jerome turned away and started off towards Sacura. Jason went after the others.
