"Even the fallen can rise."

Seto woke up laying on the cold stone ground. He squeezed his eyes shut, blinking a few times waiting for his dizziness to pass. He pushed up against the ground, finding himself in an alchemy room, he looked around. His eyes laying on a cauldron making him notice the strange smell that populated the air around him. He pushed himself up to his feet, he knows where he is at but is choosing to look past it for now. He looked around at the tables, books opened up and some stacked up almost all of them on the same topic. Seto picked up a book, opening up a bookmarked page, the page was filled with graphics and his writing. His eyes widen. He looked at the cauldron, his heart rate raising. He walked over to the cauldron, staring at the contents. On the surface was a black tar layer that bubbled every now and then even though no fire was lit under the cauldron. He looked at the book, staring at it. 'I didn't think of that...Maybe there is a way to bring Wendy back.' Seto thought. He put the book on the side table, an empty flask sitting on the table and a ladle as well. Seto picked up the flask, but he looked at the cauldron. He put the flask down. He shakes his head, backing up from the cauldron.
"N-No." He mumbled. 'No! What am I thinking?! Recreation isn't...it won't solve anything!' Seto thought to himself. He bumped into the table, he turned around, looking at the open books, tearing his eyes away, he went around the table and to the door. He tried to open, but it was jammed. 'I need to get out of this room! The unstable dark energy is hurting my head and..' Seto thought before the tattoos on his arms started to glow orange, his eyes shifting orange as well. Tristan smiled, the palm of his hand facing at Seto as it glowing along with his eyes.
"Come back here," Tristan said. Seto looked over his shoulder, at Tristan. "Finish this revival potion Harvey, now!" Seto looked back at the door, his eyes closed as he chuckled softly.
"Mind control?! That's my spell!" Seto snapped before he turned at Tristan, his eyes still a deep shade of orange along with his glowing tattoos. "Why do you need a revival potion?" Tristan flicked his wrist at Seto, Seto groaned, stumbling backward against the door.
"Finish the potion now!" Tristan shouted.
"No!" Seto groaned. Tristan rolled his eyes.
"Why can't you follow a simple order?!" Tristan retorted before he flicked his wrist at Seto again, Seto gripped his hair as he fell tot he floor, groaning. "This spell used to work like a charm on you, now you are being unreasonable!" Seto's hand balled into a fist, he mumbled under his breath, throwing a spell back at Tristan, Tristan threw up a shield, the spell ricocheting into a bookshelf, destroying it. Seto stood back up, his eyes changing back to a deep dark brown color.
"You used that spell on me when I was an apprentice! That's why you controlled me so easily!"
"Don't cut yourself short by calling yourself a novice, Harvey. You are one of my best students for me and your father. You helped us create the spells that are taught to apprentices today." Tristan said. Tristan's eyes narrowed at Seto. "You know, you were once a wizard people feared, you were strong and deadly. You never needed to become an apprentice, you were already master wizard material. I respected you, but that is now lost. And now that I look at you, you have turned soft." Seto's hands balled into fists.
"Learning light magic isn't turning soft. It is trading a life of evil and staying on constant alert for a life that is actually one worth living. And besides, you know I was a light mage before you corrupted me." Seto said. Tristan smiled and nodded.
"And I still don't regret that to this day. You and your sister were unstoppable, she wanted the Magi legacy while you wanted nothing to do with it all because of a human girl--" Seto flicked his wrist are him, a spell hitting Tristan.
"Wendy is not just some human girl and if it wasn't for you, she would still be alive." Tristan got back up. He smiled.
"I wasn't the one who has her blood on my hands, no...that's you. And you always will have it--"
"Shut up--"
"You wanna know why you are so tempted whenever unstable energy is in the air? You didn't require my control spell after a few months because you craved power. I could sense it in you back than and I sense it in you now. Being a Light Mage isn't enough to crave your thirst for power, that's why you can't stop thinking about dark magic and why you pass out after using it in large amounts. You are power-hungry, you can't do the things you love doing as a light mage, but you can as a dark mage because you created the spells to do so. That's why I'm giving you a chance." Tristan said. Seto looked away from him, wanting to hit him or actually kill him really. Tristan sees the runes on Seto's arms glowing a faint orange, he looks at Seto's eyes. "Those inklings on your body are the mark of pure evil, Harvey. You can't just act like it is easy to forget something that is pulling on you." Seto looked at Tristan. Tristan rested on his hand on the cauldron.
"What has Prince Tobias and Princess Rosani done for you other what they haven't? Nothing. They are nothing but the history that deserves to be buried, after all, Tobias and Rosani are gonna get rid of you anyway. They can't keep you around when no one wants you around." Tristan snapped, Seto flinched a little. His eyes softening.
"I know what you are trying to do, it won't work. I am not finishing this potion for you." Seto said.
"You will make it, even if we have to force you," Tristan said. Seto was about to speak when hands grabbed him. Seto yelped feeling a sword pierce from behind, sticking out of his lower right hip. He screamed, dark mages grabbing ahold of him.
"Not so tough now, are you?" One asks. Tristan sighed. Seto looked at him.
"You think this will make me comply? In your dreams." Seto said. The dark mage ripped the sword out of Seto. Seto groaned, he was forced to his knees, they grabbed his hair, yanking his head up as Tristan kneeled down in front of Seto.
"You have no idea what is going to happen, Harvey. The turn of the tide, a new age. And you are going to be the start of it all by your death and the death of that Prince." Tristan said. He looked up at the mages. "Kill Prince Tobias and bring me Princess Asthie unharmed." Four of the mages disappear. Seto struggled.
"No. Not Ash. Tristan, she's just a child." Seto said, struggling to stay conscious with his shirt staining red and blood staining his jeans. Tristan stood.
"That child has ancient healing magic, and if you won't make me my potion, she will be your replacement while you...you will be the sacrifice." Tristan said. Seto's eyes widen a bit.
"For what?"
"You don't know how powerful you are, how powerful you could be. But you waste it all on light magic. No, I cannot allow you to ruin your usefulness. Your sacrifice will mean the beginning of the end of light magic by awaking the creator of the Dark Arts." Tristan said. Seto shook his head.
"I killed my father. He's dead!"
"And you and Princess Asthie can revive him. In order to bring him back, you must die. And that girl will heal all his injuries. Your death won't be meaningless, Harvey—"
"You can't bring back the dead. Tristan, you can't revive Vincent—"
"The ritual has already begun, it is happening right now! All we are waiting for is you and the Princess. So this is happening, and you won't be living to see it. Take him to the tomb, now. Prep him for life transfer." Tristan said. Seto was pulled to he feet. Seto was speechless, he knew this was turning bad fast. But the fact that his father might be coming back has him stunned. 'I have to let them all know, Sky and them. I need to. But how?!' Seto thought. Seto felt one of the mages hit him in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious.
