| Chapter One | Trigger
It was morning, about 8:30 am, the new recruits are filing in, tables setup for sign in at the entrance. Ty was standing behind one of the tables, the one where Jason was at. Ty shifts in his spot, looking at the new recruits. They smiled at them and he returned it a little. He looks away, his hands fidgeting with his shirt as he looks for Sky. Jason sighs and looks behind him, at Ty.
"Can you stop pacing and fidgeting? You are making me nervous." Jason asks. Ty looks at him, he sits in the chair beside Jason.
"Do you know where Adam is?" Ty asks.
"Name?" Jason asks a new recruit. Ty doesn't look at them.
"Statilia Florus." Statilia said. Jason looks at her.
"Okay, I'm not even gonna try to spell that myself." Jason said. Ty sighs.
"Its S-t-a-t-i-l-i-a, Jason." Ty said. Statilia nods.
"That's it." She said. Jason looks at Ty, confused.
"Wait, how did you--"
"I-I have no idea." Ty said confused as well. Jason writes down what Ty said and she spells out her last name.
"Okay, Statilia, follow the signs for orientation." Jason said. She nods and walks away. Ty's eyes look at her as she leaves and then look at Jason, who is staring at Ty. "How in the nether did you spell that right?"
"I guessed." Ty said. Ty winces, putting his hand on his head. He stands up and walks away from Jason. He looks over at Statilia, feeling the urge to go over to her. 'She's feels important to me...but why?' Ty thought.
"It's rude to stare." Someone said making Ty jump. He turns at Mitch. Mitch smiles at Ty, he looks over at Statilia and back at Ty.
"So, any reason why you are staring at the girl?" He asks. Ty looks at her and back at him.
"She...She's familiar..but I don't know why." Ty said. Mitch nods.
"Ahhh, okay. Doesn't make sense but okay." He said. Ty looks away from him. 'I forgot, I only told Sky about my amnesia. The others don't know about it at all.' Ty thought. Ty looks at him.
"Do you know why Sky is?" Ty asks. He nods.
"He's in the auditorium." Mitch said. Ty walks pass Mitch and goes inside, he heads backstage. Almost running into someone, Ty stops.
"S-Sorry." Ty said.
"It's okay." They said before they walk pass Ty. Ty looks around, spotting Sky. Ty runs over to Sky. Adam is leaning against the wall, staring at the ground.
"A-Adam. I thought we were leaving soon--Adam? What's wrong?" Ty asks noticing his blank stare. Sky looks at him, he smiles a little.
"N-Nothing. I couldn't get out of this so we'll leave after orientation, kay?" Adam asks. Ty hesitates, about to press the issue, but doesn't. He nods.
"Okay. But there was this girl--" Sky lifts an eyebrow up at him.
"Oooohhh who is it?" Sky asks smirking. Ty smacks Adam's shoulder.
"No, not like that! She's familiar but I don't know why." Ty said. Sky loses his smile.
"Wait, are you talking about your amnesia? She triggered something?" Sky asks. Ty looks away from him.
"I-I mean, I didn't get any memories. I only got a headache and the fact she feels important. And I could spell her name after hearing it only once. Her name is Statilia Florus." Ty said. Ty looks at Adam as he moves a curtain looking at the loud audience full of new recruits.
"What does she look like?" Adam asks.
"Where's your amulet?" Ty asks. Adam flinches and looks at Ty.
"Oh that. Um, it is being fixed after a recruit cracked it by accident." Adam said. Adam leans against the wall. "But what did she look like, she could help you remember where you came from." Ty tries to remember but can't.
"I can't remember, I was more amazed I spelt her name. But her name is enough--Wait why do you--what are you up to?" Ty asks. Adam stands up straight.
"Private tour. You and her. She--"
"NO!" Ty shouted. Adam flinches.
"Ty, don't you want your mem--" Ty covers Sky's mouth with his hands as he sees Jerome and them come. Sky relaxes and Ty takes his hands off him.
"You promised not to tell anyone about my memory problem." Ty mumbled to him. Jerome puts his arms around Sky's and Ty's shoulders.
"Okay! Ready to get this show on the road you two?!" Jerome asks. Ty looks away from Sky. Sky removes Jerome's arm.
"I know I did, Ty. And I don't get why you won't let anyone help you." Sky said before he goes out on stage. Jerome and them look at Ty.
"What's going on, Ty?" Jerome asks. Ty touches his arm, looking at his friends.
"N-Nothing. I'm going to see Seto." Ty said walking past them all and leaving the building. Ty grips his arm, staring at the ground as he walked. He winces, touching his head as a sudden dizzy spell hits him. He stumbles into a wall, closing his eyes. He groans, he hears recruits coming.
"General Ty? Are you okay?" One asks. He feels a warm hand touch his arm. Ty flinches, his senses seeming to leave him as his headache worsens. He didn't know he fell to his knees till he opened his eyes. His back was starting to hurt him, he closed his eyes, letting himself fall into a recruit's arms. He heard the panic in their voices, but couldn't make sense of their words. His back felt as if someone was cutting into it. Ty always had two big scars the upper part of his back, he had no idea how they got there but never questioned it. But now it was like the scars were burning him. He groaned, a pair of hands grab his shoulders followed by a voice.
"Tyler, Tyler. What's wrong? What hurts?" They asks. Ty opens his eyes, a hand goes under his chin and lifted up. Ty sees a doctor from the infirmary on his knees in front of him. The doctor could see the pain written in Ty's eyes, Ty looks back at the ground. "P-Potion? Are you potion desperate?" Ty shakes his head.
"Ty?!" Ty heard one of his friends yell. Ty looks behind him, seeing Ian running over to him. Ian kneels down, touching Ty's arm. Ty lets himself collapse, feeling to dizzy and exhausted to get up himself and soon passes out. The doctor and a recruit keep Ty from hitting the ground. Ian moves closer to Ty, more worried.
"Ty." Ian said.
"Help me get him inside." The doctor said. Ian grabs Ty's arm and throws Ty over his shoulder as he stood up. Recruits cheer the way through the new recruits. Ian follows the doctor into the infirmary, Seto sits up a little as he sees Ian rush past him and a nurse clearing off a bed.
"What happened?!" She asks. Ian lays Ty down on the bed.
"We don't know, full work up. We need to find out what caused this." The doctor said. Ian stands up straight, looking at Ty. 'Ty's never taken a lot of stress well.' Ian thought. Ian looks at the doctor. "Ian, were you with Ty before this happened?" Ian shakes his head.
"No. I wasn't. The others were, Ty did seem upset about something before this happened." Ian said. The doctor turns to Ian.
"I want to know if this could be a panic attack or even an anxiety attack. Can you go talk to Commander Adam and them?" The doctor asks. Ian nods. He turns around and walks out the door, Seto looks over at Ty. He gets up, stumbling but catches himself.
"Seto, no. You are still recovering." A nurse said. A nurse comes over and pushes down on Seto's shoulders, making him sit on the bed. She crouches down and touches Seto's forehead. "And you are still burning up, lay back down. You know what your magic does when you are sick." Seto smiles a little to himself. He knows what it does. Seto's magic reacts poor when he is sick, it goes out of his control and hurts people. But he feels well enough. He was about to argue back, but the nurse had this cold look on her face making him quiet up. He looks away. She grabs the folded up towel and a cup that is on the table beside them. "Here, take your medicine." Seto looks at the herbs in her hand. He takes them, even though he doesn't like them at all. She puts the cup back and makes him lay down. Whe rests the towel on his forehead.
"Don't move." She said before she goes over to help Ty. Seto looks over at her, he pulls the blankets up and closes his eyes, falling asleep.
