Jason broke off from the rest of the pact. A group of recruits lead by Ian and Mitch are heading towards Verane. Jason is going to get Cassandra for Seto. He stops his horse by her and she looks at him. He sticks his hand out to her.

"Jason? What are you--"

"Questions later, Seto needs your healing magic. He needs it now." Jason said. Cassandra takes his hand, he pulls her up and behind him. She puts her arms around his waist before he turns his horse around, digging his heels into his horse's side making him get into a gallop slowly. Cassandra puts her chin on Jason's shoulder, wondering if she should have told Jason to get Brice, but the fact Jason seems to be in a hurry, scares her.

When they finally got there, Cassandra thought she may faint herself. The dark energy in the air was making her nauseous and it's the energy that she knows exactly what Seto did. 'Seto you idiot. Doing that magic after so long could kill you..and you promised.' She thought. She ran into the infirmary, she assumed that Seto would have his own room. Especially since he isn't in the main infirmary ward. She didn't bother stopping to hear what they said, she knew what to do and she wonders what happened to drove him to do this. She went inside where she almost collapsed if Jerome didn't hold her steady.

"They don't know what happened. They can't find a cure, you have to do something." Jerome said. She looks at Seto, her eyes widening. She walks over beside the bed, not looking at the others.

"Get out, you can't be in here when I do this." She said.

"But--"

"I know what he did, and I know how to fix him. Just please leave." Cassandra said. They hesitated at first, but they left. She grabs the blanket and takes it off him. "Seto, sit up now." Seto opens his eyes. She grabs his arms, pushing his sleeves up revealing glowing red runes that are burnt on his skin. "Are you trying to kill yourself, Seto?" He sits up, groaning as he puts his hand on his head.

"Can...Can you please...do the spell?" Seto groaned. She sits on the bed, beside him. She raises her hands up to him, touching his chest and arm as she mumbled a spell under her breath. Her hands glowed pink and Seto smiles a little feeling his strength returning. The runes faded back to their original black color. She lowers her hands. "Thanks.."

"You promised me you would--"

"I know. I'm sorry. It was all that I could think of, you know I'm not that person anymore." Seto said. He looks at her seeing she is upset. His eyes soften, his hand moves her hair from her face and behind her ear. "Cassie...I'm sorry if I scared you, I just wasn't thinking clearly. Ty was possessed with dark energy, it messed with my head. I-I thought I could handle it if I took it out of him, but I'm out of practice it seems."

"You're lucky you didn't die, you idiot. I can't keep healing you every time you use dark magic. You promised me no more dark magic. You know better than me what it can do to someone. This is the second time--"

"Cassie, I thought I could handle it. But I clearly couldn't. I'm sorry, I just...couldn't help myself." Seto said. She stared at him.

"You know that it scares me when you talk like that, especially when the subject is dark magic." She said. He pushes his sleeve done, covering up his tattoos.

"Did you finish your test?" He asks changing the subject. She nods. "And what did you get? Do I still have my apprentice?" She smiles.

"I passed it because you are my mentor. But what is going on? Why did Ty--"

"It is a long story, easily to show it than explain, come with me," Seto said. She grabs him as he tries to move.

"Seto there is dark energy all around this base. You--"

"You're afraid it will affect me like last time," Seto said not looking at her. She looks away from him. Seto smiles, he looks at her. "It's like what I said back then, you don't need to worry about me. I've survived before I met you and have been since. And to be fair, I wasn't in a.....I wasn't in such a stable state of mind as I am today. You don't need to worry about dark energy affecting me." She meets his eyes, letting go of his arm.

"I know, b-but--" The door opens.

"You're alive!" A joyous voice yelled before arms went around Seto in a hug. Cassandra smiles.

"JJerroomme." Seto groaned. Jerome smiles, letting go of Seto. Jerome punches Seto's arm. "Ouch!" Seto grabbed his arm as Cassandra laughs.

"That's for scaring us!" Jerome shouted. Seto smiles a little, Jerome looks at Cassandra. "Can you take a look at Ty too? He's in rough shape." Cassandra nods as she gets off the bed.

"Cassie," Seto said. She looks at Seto. Seto slips on his shoes as he gets up. Jerome looks at Seto.

"Are you sure you should be walking?" Jerome asks Seto. Seto slips on his jacket and follows Cassandra.

"He's fine, he won't listen anyway," Cassandra said. Seto grabs Cassandra's arm as they stop outside Ty's room.

"Before you go in there, I should warn you that he won't be himself to say," Seto said. Cassandra looks at Seto, confused.

"Um...how bad can this be? To be honest, it can't be anything I can't fix." Cassandra said before she went in. She looked at Ty, she froze. Her eyes wide and the guys look at them.

"He's a dragon blood carrier," Seto said still out in the hall.

"That's impossible," Cassandra said. Seto walked up beside her.

"Ty's had amnesia, that explains why he can't read or write in Astinaian very well. It's because his mind only understands dragon tongue." Seto said.

"Dragon tongue? What?" Jason asks. Jerome walks into the room, looking a the two like Quentin and Jason are. Utterly confused. Ty's wings are still out, they are folded against his back, he has dark purple horns sticking out of his head that is pointing back instead of the front. His fangs, claws, and tail are out and black dragon scales are beginning to grow.

"And I'm sure that girl, that new recruit that went with Sky, she's one of them too," Seto said. Cassandra touched Ty's damaged wings and shook her head.

"I'm not...I'm not qualified to fix wings. I'm not qualified to heal a beast that went extinct 200 years ago." Cassandra said. Jerome looks at her.

"A beast? Wh--" Seto looks at Jerome.

"Calling him a beast isn't exactly an insult, Jerome. But I don't get it how Ty was able to hide his magic trace from me and Cassie." Seto said. Cassandra looks at Ty, noticing his headphones are gone.

"Where are his headphones?" Cassandra asks.

"I don't know," Seto said.

"So wait, if that girl is like Ty. She is gonna go crazy and kill Adam?" Jason asks. Seto shakes his head.  Cassandra looks at Jason.

"No. No. They are peaceful creatures, Jason. But when put under extreme stress, they will become dangerous. I don't see Adam hurting her, especially if she is a recruit. So we don't need to worried about that." Cassandra said.

"What exactly is Ty than? What did Verane do to him?" Quentin asks. Cassandra looks at Seto. Seto stands at the foot of Ty's bed, staring at Ty.

"I can't translate their culture, their language, no one can since it is a lost culture. They lived two centuries ago and vanished from the face of Astina. They left behind the ruins, the ruins that are around here are evidence of them living here long ago." Seto said.

"Don't you mean massacred? The fact we may have two of them is surprising. How have they ben able to hide for so long?" Cassandra asks.

"But if Statilia is like Ty, she doesn't have wings or a tail--"

"Not that we know of. Mages are the only magical beings that walk around Astina. There are many ways--"

"Dark magic," Seto said. Cassandra looks at Seto. Seto meets her eyes. "Ancient magic to be exact. The magic that many have tried to get."

"Why?" Quentin asks.

"Imagine having wings, actual dragon wings without having to waste mana to make them yourself. Using wings that require mana would split your focus, it could get you killed. So having dragon blood in your veins not only transforms your physical form, but it also changes your mental and magic state's." Seto said. Jerome looks at Ty, Ty is sound asleep, a soaked towel resting on his forehead as they talked. He is laying on his side, his wings had stretched out, making them hang off the side of the bed along with his tail as well. Jerome looks at Seto.

"Please tell me you can reverse this," Jerome said. Seto looks at Jerome.

"I could actually. It is very easily," Seto said. Cassandra looks at Seto, her worried eyes catching his. He sighs. "Cassie, I never said I would, I'm only saying I could." She looks back at Ty. Seto looked at the others. "It is better to just let him live like this than have me fix it. The ritual has a low chance of success and a high chance of something going terribly wrong for the caster and the target. And not to mention what could happen to the environment and the people around them at the time of the ritual." They all stayed silent for a few moments, Jason finally breaking the silence.

"But will Ty be okay?" Jason asks. Cassandra looks over at Seto.

"Do you still have that book?" She asks. Seto crosses his arms.

"Cassie. There is a giant library full of books, you have to be more specific." Seto said. She narrows her eyes as Jerome and them chuckle.

"The Guide to Dragons Spells. There is a healing spell in there for dragon wings. I didn't think I would need it till now. Do you still have it?" Cassandra asks. Seto nods. She walks past him but stops. "Wait....is your library finally organized?" Seto crosses his arms.

"Define organized." Seto said. Cassandra rolls her eyes and leaves.
