"Jungkook stop~" Taehyung giggles as he shoved his husband lightly in the chest, trying to push him off.

"But I need to make them feel all better." Jungkook cooed at Tae, lifting the brunets arm up again and rolling up his sleeve.

"You're so weird Kook." Taehyung laughed again as he watched Jungkook slowly give a kiss to every one of the scars littering his arm.

"7....8....9." Jungkook continued to count as he peppered his love's arm with kisses.

"One kiss for every scar on you." Jungkook mumbled against Tae's skin and Tae's cheeks began to glow a soft pink at the kind words.

"You don't need to do this." Taehyung nearly whispered.

"I know pup, but I want to okay?" Jungkook answered, setting Taehyung's arm down and adjusting himself so he was sitting in front of his husband.

"You've done so much for me, helped me so much. It's the least I can do. I wish there was more I could do to rid you of your past memories." Jungkook said, eyes casting downward sadly as he though back on Taehyung's stories of his abusive parents.

"Jungkook..." Taehyung trailed off, reaching down to take Jungkook's hand in his hand, running the pad of his thumb reassuringly against the back of the younger's hand.

"You have done so much for me Kookie. Don't ever think that you haven't." The older continued, reaching to lift Jungkook's chin upwards.

"Plus...." Taehyung mumbled leaning closer to his partner until his lips brushed softly against the shell of Jungkook's ear.

"There a lot of memories I wouldn't want to forget about~" Taehyung hummed, and then it was Jungkook's turn to turn bright red.

"Don't tempt me pup." Jungkook warned teasingly.

"Tempt? I would never~" Taehyung continued to croon as Jungkook leaned closer, trying to capture Tae's lips with his own.

But before he could Taehyung lurched backwards and off of the bed causing Jungkook to fall forwards face first into the bed.

"Hi sweetie!" Taehyung exclaims with a strained and clearly embarrassed tone as Jungkook turns to see who he could possibly be addressing this late at night.

"Hi daddy, cwouldnt sweep." Ryujin mumbles while rubbing her eyes with balled fists.

Jungkook's glare softens once he sees his youngest daughter. Though he'd be lying if he said he wasn't slightly annoyed that his alone time with Tae was interrupted.

Now that the two boys were raising the two sisters and Tae's sisters, along with helping rebuild the kingdom, alone time was scarce.

"Aww I'm sorry sweetie, come here hun." Taehyung says gently and pulls back the sheet of his bed, patting the space between he and Jungkook.

"Tae~" Jungkook whined before Taehyung shuts him up with a harsh stare.

"Can't you just read her a bedtime story it something until she falls asleep, in her own bed." Jungkook continues, sounding like a child.

"Well if you want to go to sleep that badly I guess you'll the one reading to her. Have fun." Taehyung rolls his eyes and drops a children's book on the bed, giving Ryujin a tight hug before leaving the room.

Jungkook stared agape down the hall Taehyung had left from before turning his attention to his daughter, sighing softly and patting his lap for his daughter to crawl up on.

"Story time Ryu!" He tries to put on his happiest voice and Ryujin squeal with excitement, scrambling quickly up onto bed.

Jungkook begins the story, "once upon a time..." he continues on while every now and then stealing a glance at his youngest. Her tiny smile on full display, seeming lighting up the room. Jungkook chuckles softly to himself as he notices her small bunny teeth, resembling his own closely.

He smiled warmly at his child as he took note of her uneven eyelids, and how closely they looked like Taehyung's.

Wow we really lucked out. He thinks to himself before noticing his littlest one has fallen fast asleep in his arms, snoring softly and hugging the sloth plushy Yoongi had gifted her tightly.

"Alright, up we go." Jungkook huffs as he lifts Ryujin into his arms and off of the bed, heading for the door before a tight hug stops him in his tracks.

He's taken aback for a moment before smiling and settling into Taehyung's warm embrace.

"You're such a good dad." Taehyung's low voice cracks with emotions and he sniffles lightly against Jungkook's shoulder.

"Yeah I know." Jungkook jokingly brags, fighting back his own tears of joy.

He never imagined he could have a life like this.

A life full of love.

A life full of happiness.

A life with a real family.

"I love you so much Kim Taehyung." Jungkook coughs out before brushing away his tears, still holding Ryujin close as she is sandwiched between her fathers.

"Uh uh." Taehyung pulls back and wags a finger.

"It's Jeon Taehyung now, remember?" Taehyung says proudly, waving his left hand in the air, the soft golden band adorning his ring finger on full display.

Jungkook smiles even wider if possible and hugs Taehyung again.

"Owie." The tiny voice of Ryujin can be heard between the embrace and Jungkook pulls back quickly before they all burst into laughter.

"What's going on?" Hyejin asks as she enters the slowly crowding bedroom.

"Nothing sweetheart, your sister couldn't sleep." Jungkook answers, kneeling to collect his second daughter in his hug and the two girls giggle.

"Don't forget about me!" Taeyeon shouts as she runs into the room and Taehyung picks her up too.

"I could never!" Taehyung faux scoffs and hugs his sister tightly, as she wasn't much older than his daughters she had come to receive the same treatment.

Jungkook makes eye contact with Tae and nods backwards, Taehyung smiling warmly, showing his boxy smile.

The whole family comes together and hugs each other, laughing with giddiness and joy. Simply enjoying each other's company.

Five lost souls brought together in harmonious glee by fate.

After a few more minutes of hugs Taehyung ushers the three young girls back to their rooms and finally returns to his own, seeing that Jungoook has made himself comfy.

Taehyung smiles again, his cheeks hurting from his happiness and then crawls into bed beside his husband.

Jungkook notices the shift in weight and turns around to wrap his arms around his love.

"You make me the happiest man on earth." He whispers into Tae's ear.

"Impossible." Taehyung scoffs.

"I'm already the happiest man on earth, because of you." He replies cheekily, earning a guttural laugh from Jungkook.

"It's a tie then." Jungook omits the victory.

"Fine, I'm okay with sharing with you." Taehyung giggles before reaching back to peck Jungkook's cheek lovingly.

"How about sharing the rest of your life with me?" Jungook wonders aloud while Taehyung kisses his forehead.

"I thought that was already part of the plan." Taehyung jokes as he grabs Jungook's hand and fiddles with his husbands matching golden band.

"Of course my love. But I mean even after all of that. After we've aged and we're old and leathery-" Jungkook says before Taehyung laughs at his choice of words.

"I want to be with you even in the afterlife." Jungkook admits quietly, staring down at his and Taehyung's hand intertwined.

Taehyung sighs softly and turns around to cup Jungkook's cheeks.

"I thought we'd been over this... I'll love you forever Kook. Until the very-" Taehyung tenderly brushes his love's cheeks with his fingers before Jungkook cuts him off.

"-end. I know. I'll love you until the very end too." Jungkook finishes for him.

Taehyung hums in agreement and hugs him tightly, earning a tight hold from the other.

Jungkook kisses Taehyung on the forehead again before lying back down and settling into the sheets.

"Go to sleep pup. I'll see your beautiful face in the morning."

"Goodnight kook."

"I love you."

"I love you more."

"...I love you most."
