Christa and Omid
Power couple Christa and OMIDDDD
Honestly, I love them both. The differences in their personalities balance them perfectly, and the love they have for one another is so nice
Not to mention Omid is hilarious. He never lost his light or sense of humor, even though the world went to shit

.
Chuck looks ahead with a frown, Kenny's face crestfallen and his eyes wide in horror at the sight before he grits his teeth in fury.
Clement hops down from the boxcar, his feet crunching the soil beneath him as (Y/N) drops down besides him. Lee follows, peering ahead with a confused expression as Kenny climbs down from the train and faces the wreckage.
On the highway above was a rig, half still ontop of the highway and the lower half draped in front of the tracks, blocking the way forward.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!!" Kenny screams in anger, yanking his hat off with a growl as Ben and Lee join him.
"... Maybe-- Maybe we could walk?"
Kenny scoffs, agressively putting his cap back on. "That's fucking stupid, Ben."
Ben winces, rubbing his neck. "I--I was just saying..."
Chuck climbs down the front of the train, humming in thought. "Hmm. I dunno, I ain't got much experience with y'all's fortitude, but we could probably deal with that. We got a God damn train."
Kenny looks at the rig with a scowl, turning his glare to Chuck. "That thing's not full of milk, Charles. That's gas. Or diesel. Something that's gonna explode."
Chuck frowns, turning to Kenny and setting his hands on his hips. "You gotta get ahold of yourself. This is a crew here."
Kenny lets out a bitter laugh, moving face-to-face with Chuck, "this ain't shit."
"This--!"
"Yo!" a voice calls from above with a humorous tone, cutting in to Kenny and Chuck's argument. "Keep screaming like that, and you're gonna get your face chewed off!"
They look up, a man with a stubble and black hair standing on the highway. A woman appears at his side, her curly brown hair pulled back into a bun.
"Are you guys going to be trouble?" the woman demands, her tone much less friendly than the man's. "Because we could've just kept walking."
Lee takes a few steps forward with his hands raised, "no, we're friendly. Put your hand down, Ken."
He hisses the last part to Kenny, noticing he was reaching back for his pistol.
Christa raises a brow, scoffing. "That's what everybody says."
Lee can't help but let out a short laugh in agreement, "we know."
(?) They'll remember that
"Let's give these guys a break," Omid urges, a small grin on his face.
Christa didn't seem convinced. "We'll see."
Omid wasn't phased, smiling fondly to Christa before turning to face Lee. "You guys got a problem with your train?"
"Yeah," Kenny huffs, gesturing to the rig. "You're standing right in front of it."
"Dude, it's a wreck," Omid nonchalantly replies, looking over the wreck with a grin. "It's not so bad from up here. Send your buddy up to have a look."
Lee nods, taking a step forward and pausing as Kenny holds a hand out to stop him.
"Anything goes sideways up there, we won't let them escape," he lowly speaks, Lee slowly nodding.
He makes his way to the ladder leading up to the highway, pausing as he grabs the first bar. "... If I come up there, you better not be murderers or thieves."
Christa peeks her head over, "I guess you'll have to find out."
Lee frowns, sighing heavily before reluctantly climbing up the ladder.
"... A group like this is what we need!" Omid insists as Lee climbs up.
"They're what you think we need. We're doing fine."
"For now. What about when..."
Christa sharply shushes him as Lee climbs up, pulling himself to his feet and walking over to the two.
Omid stares at Christa with concern for a moment before turning to Lee with a smile. "Hey, dude! I'm Omid."
"Lee," Lee introduces, nodding with a smile.
"... Christa," was all Christa said, glancing back down to the train. "What's the deal with the train?"
"We're driving it," Lee replies with amusement.
"Aw, man!" Omid excitedly speaks, grinning with excitement as he looks down at the freighter.
Lee rubs the back of his neck with a heavy sigh, "I'm not going to bullshit you. Our group is a little fucked right now. We had a bite victim, and then his mom took her life and... Before that, just..."
Christa's harsh gaze softens, as well as her tone. "It's okay."
Omid's eyes flick to the side of Lee, double-taking at the sight of (Y/N) peering out from behind his legs, Clement grunting as he pulls himself up the ladder.
"Holy shit! God damn, you guys have kids!"
Lee blinks owlishly in surprise as he looks behind him, (Y/N) ducking back behind his legs and Clement walking over to her side.
"What're you two doing up here?" Lee questions warmly, his brows furrowed.
Omid lets out a laugh of disbelief, "Do you know how long it's been since we've seen kids? Shit! Hi! What are your names?"
(Y/N) clutches her doll close to her chest, opening her mouth to reply before meeting Clement's gaze.
Clement smiles to her, stepping forward. "I'm Clement... This is my best friend, (Y/N)."
"Oh, so he gets to swear?" Lee demands playfully, (Y/N) giggling and Clement sticking his tongue out at Lee jokingly.
"This is great!" Omid runs a hand through his hair, turning to Christa. "See? Things are looking up."
Christa moves her gaze from Clement to (Y/N), "you're not either of their dads. They down there?"
"That obvious?"
"To me." She shrugs.
"No, neither of them are down there," Lee replies, shaking his head.
Christa's brows furrow as she hums. "Huh. So what's your story?"
Lee looks behind him to (Y/N), setting a hand on her head as she grins up at him before turning to Clement with a smile. "I came across these two holding up by themselves in a treehouse the first day this all started. We've been together ever since."
Christa nods, "everybody down there... They're cool?"
Lee looks down to the group, his gaze lingering on Kenny as he sighs. "Kenny lost his wife and kid."
"Man... How long ago?" Omid softly questions.
"What time is it?"
"I don't know... Four?"
"Maybe two hours ago."
Christa and Omid share a shocked, saddened expression. "God damn..."
(?) Lee chose to tell them Kenny's story
"We're sorry for anything that's happened to you guys," Omid sympathetically says, offering a small smile. "The train is awesome, though."
"The tank is your real problem," Christa motions back to the wreck with her thumb. "We'll help you with it, but if we see anything we don't like, we're moving on down the road. Alone."
"We'd appreciate the help," Lee gratefully thanks, nodding.
Omid hums in thought as he looks over the wreck, rubbing his chin. "You can't just blast through it, I guess..."
"If you could get it down, the rest of it would probably be pretty easy," Christa suggests.
"We'll start there." Lee agrees.
"We'll come down and settle in, and see if we can help," she continues, motioning with her head for Lee to lead the way down.
Chuck, Ben, and Kenny look over as Lee and the others climb down.
"Guys, this is Omid and Christa," Lee calls, walking over to them.
They remain silent, eyeing the couple warily.
"... Not big on welcomes?" Omid sheepishly jokes, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Like I said, it's been a bit of a day," Lee apologetically replies.
"We just wanted to say hi, and that your train is pretty cool," Omid smiles kindly to the group.
"... But we're not looking for charity," Christa harshly adds.
"We could help you guys, though."
"Maybe."
Omid gives Christa a look of mock exasperation, turning back to the others. "So... Yeah. Hi. Again."
"Y'all want some candy?" Chuck offers.
"These two'll be joining us," Lee chimes in.
"... We'll see." Christa defensively adds.
"Gotta be careful about newcomers, I say." Chuck warns.
Lee lets out a small chuckle, shrugging as he glances over his shoulder to Christa and Omid. "I don't know what it is, but I can tell you two are good people."
Christa looks away with a huff, Omid's face lighting up with a grin as he nods.
"Wanna start in on that tanker?"
"I'll... Get to know the kids for a minute, if you don't mind?" Christa questions Lee, making him nod.
Kenny sighs, turning to Omid and speaking in a monotone. "Why don't I show you how this thing works. In case something happens."
"Really, Ken?" Lee demands, frowning.
Kenny weakly shrugs, "it's probably for the best."
He turns, climbing up the train ladder and pausing. "And someone might want to have a look inside of that station back there, too."
"Sounds great!" Omid follows Kenny eagerly. "Let's do this thing!"
The group disperses, all going about their way as Lee takes in a deep breath, ready to get to work.
He decides to check in on everyone, starting with Ben and passing Chuck, who was casually strumming away on his guitar.
Ben was standing guard ontop the train, looking around quickly at the treeline and down the tracks.
"Got a good view up there?" Lee calls.
Ben jumps, Lee wincing as he nearly slips off the train but catches himself. "Yeah, we're good for a ways... Thank God."
He sighs, sitting down with his legs hanging off the train and facing Lee. "We need someone... Anyone, to come along and... And... Exterminate them or something."
Lee can't help but nod in agreement. "No shit. Walkers, man... You know, sometimes you might see me take care of one, because I have to, but don't start thinking they don't horrify me."
Ben nods quickly, sighing in relief. "I'm glad someone else feels that way. I'm telling you, Lee, if they ever... Get a hold of me... And I know I'm not getting out of it... That's it, man. I'm just gonna punch my own ticket."
Lee tilts his head, "punch your own ticket?"
"Yeah. Take myself out."
"... Don't be dramatic," he scolds. Ben looks away with a frown, Lee sighing as he continues with concern. "And don't let them get a hold of you!"
Ben looks back at Lee, Lee turning and already walking away. He approaches Christa, Clement sitting next to her and (Y/N) next to him as she softly spoke to the two.
"You two are close," Christa says with a fondness, her eyes squinting as she smiles.
"Yep! (Y/N)'s my best friend! Always has been, and always will be!" Clement proudly replies, a small grin on (Y/N)'s face as she happily laughs.
"You two interrogating this woman for us?" Lee playfully questions as he squats down to their heights.
"Yep!" Clement nods.
"She set off any alarm bells?"
"No... She's nice," (Y/N) replies with a giggle, absentmindedly fiddling with her doll on her lap.
"We'll see," Clement suspiciously adds, squinting at Christa.
"He's being very thorough," Christa chuckles, her eyes landing on the radio on Clement's lap.
"Gotta make sure you aren't a danger to (Y/N)!" Clement defends, (Y/N) playfully rolling her eyes in mock exasperation.
Lee sets his hand on Clement's head, playfully shoving him lightly. "That's what I like to hear!"
"That's... A pretty useful radio for him to be holding onto, no?" Christa questions.
"It's busted," Lee says as he rises. "But... It means something to him."
Christa nods. "Ah. I understand."
"Careful, they're both crack shots now." Lee warns with amusement, Christa's eyes widening in surprise.
"You got these kids shooting guns?"
"Don't need a lecture."
"You weren't getting one," Christa replies approvingly, nodding. "It's good. They should be able to take care of themselves."
The four were quiet for a moment, Lee breaking the silence. "So, where are you from?"
"San Francisco."
Lee's eyes widen in surprise. "Geez. A long way from home."
Christa scoffs in agreement, jerking her chin towards the train. "I blame the one in there. He wanted the Great American Road Trip."
"He got a little more than he bargained for, huh?"
"Who the hell is into Civil War history anyway?" she demands in irritation, huffing. "Other than old white guys."
Lee's eyes shift side to side awkwardly as he slowly raises his hand, a grin on his face.
Christa snorts, amusement in her eyes. "Wonderful. You two will be thick as thieves."
(?) Lee learned about Omid's interest in Southern history
Lee lets out a chuckle, shaking his head as he turns away. "See you three later."
Christa resumes speaking with the two as Lee makes his way to the train, climbing up the ladder and walking around the front.
"... I don't know what that does yet, so don't touch it," he hears Kenny inform.
Lee walks in, Omid slowly moving his finger towards the button.
Kenny smacks his hand away, scowling. "I said don't touch it, jackass."
"Learning the ropes?" Lee questions, amusement lacing his words as Omid shakes his hand out. "Can't be too hard, right?"
"There are a lot of levers I can't wait to use," Omid replies eagerly, grinning.
"I said if something were to happen to me."
"Maybe we can drive in shifts?"
Kenny sighs in annoyance. "We'll see."
Omid fist pumps the air in excitement, Lee chuckling and shaking his head before smiling.
"You like Civil War history, huh?"
Omid's expression brightens even more, if possible, "fuck yeah! What do you know about some Quantrill's Raid?"
Lee lets out a hearty laugh, "it happened about a thousand miles that way."
"Well, yeah."
"And we're headed the other way. But if it's somehow not crawling with the dead, there should be some cool things to see in Savannah," he continues.
"Excellent! Don't tell Christa, though. That won't be as big a selling point to her," Omid laughs sheepishly, shrugging carefree.
"You got it. I'll talk to you later," Lee replies with a nod, chuckling. "So, how long since you been home?"
(?) Lee bonded with Omid over some Southern history
"Like six months," Omid sighs, shaking his head. "We were on the road for a while and then... You know."
"That's rough."
"... Our cat is gonna be pissed," Omid groans, dragging a hand down his face.
Lee snickers, exhaling loudly in amusement. "How have you two made it this far? You seem dangerously normal."
"Christa doesn't let us join groups, and I'm a fucking scrapper," Omid replies, grinning.
"I got the feeling she takes care of you," Lee jokes.
Omid feigns offense, stammering and scoffing. "Please! I've saved her ass hundreds... Tens... Some times."
He slowly frowns, pouting as Lee lets out a hearty laugh, turning and leaving then train.
Lee looks up at the wreck in deep thought, his gaze moving down to the station up ahead as he nods to himself. He walks past Christa, (Y/N), and Clement, the kids perking up as they watch him and excuse themselves.
"Can we come with you?" (Y/N) asks in excitement, Lee stopping in his tracks and looking back to them.
"You two don't like the new girl?"
"No, I do! But..."
"We're a team," Clement speaks up with confidence. "Like you said!"
Lee smiles as he squats down to their heights, nodding. "Yeah, all right. Come on." He rises, projecting his voice to the others. "The kids and I are checking out this train starion, all right? Hustle over if you hear anything."
He turns, offering his hand to (Y/N) as Clement practically bounces on his feet, rushing ahead a few paces before waiting for the two.
Lee looks to the slanted roof as they approach, SURVIVORS INSIDE painted in white decorating it. His face hardens at the thought of more people before he notices the paint cans that were used, the paint inside dried and harden for what seemed like months.
Clement runs ahead, (Y/N)'s mouth curving down as she releases Lee's hand and follows, her doll held tightly in her free hand.
Lee walks at a fast pace, rounding the corner and spotting Clement trying to open the door to the station.
"You should wait for me before trying to open doors."
"Told ya!" (Y/N) huffs, Clement releasing the handle and sheepishly laughing.
"Sorry."
Lee looks over the door, "well, luckily it's locked. We'll get better at working together."
Clement bashfully rubs his neck as he nods, him and (Y/N) moving to the side as Lee approaches the door. Lee tries the handle, the handle not turning, so he tries to kick it down. The door doesn't so much as creak, Lee staggering back with a sigh. He looks around the door frame, his eyes landing on the window tilted open above the door.
"The window's open up there..."
"Maybe I can look?" (Y/N) offers, Clement's head snapping her way as he frowns.
"The sounds... Dangerous. I can do it."
"I'll be okay, I won't go in, just look in."
Lee's brow furrows, his forehead creasing in thought as he turns to (Y/N). "You sure, sweet pea?"
"Yeah!"
She hands Clement her doll, who was frowning deeply in concern as she walked over to Lee and held her arms up. Lee bends down, grunting as he lifts her up and stands her steadily on his shoulders.
He carefully approaches the window, (Y/N) ducking her head inside and peering in.
"What should I do now?"
"Getting this door open is going to be tough..." Lee mutters to himself, (Y/N) looking inside the building.
"I don't think so," she replies, noticing the lock. She reaches down, her fingers grazing it as she strains to reach.
"Maybe we could find the key or figure out a way to knock this door down... Kenny'd probably have me pick the lock, which actually might work now that we have time..."
"I did it."
Lee was snapped out of his muttering, peering up at (Y/N) with wide eyes. "For real?"
"Yep!" (Y/N) grins, Lee slowly setting her down to the floor. "See? I was fine," she says to Clement, who was beaming at her.
"Well, I'll be damned!" Lee chuckles as he opens the door, ruffling her hair.
"Let's go, and be careful!" Clement says as they enter, Lee raising an amused brow.
"I'm supposed to tell you that."
(Y/N) giggles, Clement grinning as he hands her back her doll and Lee chuckling as he shakes his head.
The three walk inside, the door behind them slowly but surely closing with creaking groans.
"God damn, it's dark in here..."
"Don't like it," (Y/N) frowns as she backs away, opening the door and allowing light to flood in. "Maybe I can hold the door open?"
"I don't like that," Lee shakes his head, "I'll prop it open with something."
He reaches behind him, feeling his gun and the spike remover tucked in his pants. He takes out the spike remover, (Y/N) holding the door for him and releasing it as he sets down the tool.
Lee looks around the room, a cage protecting the back half of the building with a noticeable gap above.
"There's a space above..."
"I can fit," (Y/N) quickly volunteers, eager to help.
"Let me try the door first, sweat pea," Lee fondly laughs, approaching the gated door.
He looks down to where the handle should be, frowning at the sight of only a keyhole. His eyes flick up, and he spots the keys hanging on the opposite wall, behind the bars.
"Keys are over there..."
"For the gate?" Clement questions, tilting his head.
"I think so." Lee looks around the caged area, trying to see if it was worth sending (Y/N) over. He finds a blowtorch tucked away, his expression lighting up. "That's exactly what we need?"
"What is it?" (Y/N) walks over, peering at the blowtorch.
"Something we could use to get that wreck out of our way," Lee heavily sighs, looking between the gap and (Y/N). "You okay going over the top of this fence?"
"Yeah!"
"Ah..." Clement drags the word, (Y/N) grabbing his arm and putting her doll back in his palm. "... I don't like this..."
"It'll be all right, bud. The keys are on the opposite wall. She can grab them once she gets over and we can get the gate open," Lee reassures, Clement still looking unconvinced as (Y/N) and Lee walk over to the gate.
Lee grunts as he lifts her up once again, (Y/N) squeezing through and sliding down the bars to the other side.
"Hand me the keys, sweet pea," Lee smiles.
(Y/N) nods, turning before quickly double-taking with wide eyes, her face paling.
"... Sweet pea?"
"Behind you!"
Lee's eyes widen as he swiftly turns, Clement doing the same and staggering back with a yelp as he lands on his back.
"Fuck!" Lee rushes in front of Clement, taking out his pistol as the boy scoots back towards the gate.
Another walker staggers in from outside, Lee gasping and dropping his gun under the gate as he holds it back.
He swiftly shoves the walker away from him and Clement, turning to the spike remover blocking the door.
Lee dashes over, grabbing it and pulling it free before running back to Clement, guarding him. He grunts as he swings the tool down, slamming it against the first walker's head. He brings it back up, breaking the jaw off and banging the tool once more against the walker's temple.
The walker falls to the ground, dead, as Lee focuses on the other. Lee yells as the walker gets too close, forcing him to drop the tool and hold the walker back.
Lee flinches with a startled gasp as a gun fires, the walker's cheek pierced through as chunks of flesh and blood go flying.
(Y/N) fires again with shaking hands, the bullet hitting through the walker's temple this time and killing him.
The walker's body falls, Lee panting heavily as he looks up. (Y/N)'s hands were trembling around the gun as she aimed through the bars, Clement on the ground in front of the gate, wide-eyed and pale.
"It's okay, it's okay," Lee softly coos, approaching the two. "Everything's fine, now. You did very good, (Y/N). Deep breaths, okay?"
(Y/N) swallows thickly, her eyes shining with unshed tears as she nods, lowering the gun.
Clement rises to his feet, holding his scraped elbow with a wince of pain before bending down and picking up the dropped doll.
Lee lets out a deep breath, opening his mouth to speak when a guttural growl fills the room, coming from inside the gated area.
Clement's eyes widen in horror, his mouth dropping open. (Y/N) quickly turns to the walker, yelping as she aims the gun and pulls the trigger.
Nothing happens.
She tries again, the gun clicking but not firing.
The gun jammed.
"Keys, now!" Lee shouts in urgency, (Y/N) jumping in alarm and nodding rapidly.
She drops the gun, swiftly turning to the keys. Clement rushes to the direction of the walker, banging on the bars to get his attention.
It works, the walker turning to Clement before becoming more interested in the prey he could reach.
"No, no! Over here, dummy!" Clement desperately yells.
(Y/N) nearly trips over her feet as she runs back to Lee, handing him the keys through the bars. He swiftly takes them and unlocks the door, yanking the door open and tugging (Y/N) out of harm's way.
Lee bends down and snatches up the spike remover as (Y/N) runs over to Clement, the two hugging as she trembles.
Lee yells as he swings the tool horizontally, smacking off a chunk of the walker's cheek before bringing the tool down, bashing it against his head and killing him.
(Y/N) lets out panicked breaths as she sits down on the floor, Clement dropping down to his knees at her side and grasping her hands tightly.
"God damn..." Lee lets out a loud sigh of relief, swiftly walking over to the two and squatting down. "(Y/N)? Honey, are you all right?"
"That... That didn't... Go too good," (Y/N) manages out, forcing a shaky smile to her face.
"No, it did not go so good," Lee agrees, setting his hand on her head. "But we're okay, I'm okay thanks to you. Everything is fine now."
"Yeah!" Clement smiles, though it was still tense from his fear. "You were very brave! You did good, (Y/N)!"
(Y/N) lets out a weak laugh as Clement rises, Lee doing the same and offering his hand to her. She takes it, her legs still shaking as she rises to her feet and sighs.
Lee walks over to his pistol, picking it up and sliding the ammo open. He lets the round that jammed the gun fall, grumbling as he clicks it back into place and tucks it back in his pants.
"What's going on? I thought I heard gunshots," Christa's voice calls from outside, muffled by the walls.
"We're fine!" Lee calls back.
Christa opens the door, her eyes immediately going to the walker corpses.
"We found some walkers."
Christa looks up at Lee, then to (Y/N) and Clement, and back to Lee. "You and two eight year olds versus three of them, huh?"
Lee's eyes harden as he looks to his side at (Y/N) and Clement. "We handled it."
"Yeah, it looks like. What if you hadn't?"
Lee remains silent as he watches Christa with a firm stare, crossing his arms.
Christa looks away after a moment, "I'm going to go make sure the noise didn't cause us any problems."
"That's a good idea!" Clement grins, nodding.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause problems," (Y/N) apologizes, rocking on her feet with a frown.
Christa's gaze softens as she looks down at (Y/N), a small smile spreading on her face. "Don't worry, I'm sure it's fine."
(Y/N) looks back up at Christa with a smile, Christa turning and walking back to the door.
She pauses with her hand on the door handle, turning to Lee with a harsh look. "I hope you know what you're doing with them."
Lee lets out a quiet sigh, "me, too."
"For their sake," Christa nods, her expression not as scolding as before as she turns and leaves the station.
(?) Christa won't forget that
The three were quiet for a moment, Lee turning to (Y/N). "You sure you're okay?"
"Yeah... Just a little shaky," she replies, holding out her hand, her hand trembling lightly.
Clement reaches out and grabs it in his own, steadying it as he offers a comforting smile.
"It'll pass," Lee pats her head, turning to the now-opened gate and walking through.
He walks to the blowtorch, grunting as he picks it up and shakes it, some fuel splashing around inside.
"We should go back, now," Clement says to Lee, leading (Y/N) by her hand and opening the door for Lee.
Lee pauses as he approaches the door, setting down the blowtorch. "What did we learn?"
(Y/N) frowns in thought, her head tilting to the side as she shrugs in confusion.
"That we shouldn't split up?" Clement questions.
Lee shakes his head, a warm smile on his face. "We learned to trust others in dangerous situations, and to not be afraid. They should've got us, but we got them."
(Y/N) slowly smiles, nodding. "Yeah, you're right!"
"Fear is the thing that will kill us. You two understand?"
(?) They will remember that
Clement looked uneasy as he nods, his hand tightening around (Y/N)'s as Lee picks up the blowtorch, heading out.
...
..
.
Omid and Kenny look over as Lee and the kids come into view, Omid heading out to greet them.
"Found a blowtorch in the station," Lee calls, hoisting the blowtorch up for him to see. "Should make quick work of the coupling up there."
"Excellent!" Omid nods, walking over with Lee to the ladder leading up. "I'll go up there with you and have a look."
(Y/N) and Clement resume sitting on the ground by Christa, Christa smiling softly as she fixes the ribbon in (Y/N)'s hair for her.
Lee climbs up the ladder after Omid with some struggling, handing off the blowtorch to Omid as he nears the top. The two walk over to the hitch, Omid setting down the blowtorch.
Lee kneels down and grabs the nozzle, turning the valve to light the torch. Nothing happens, air hissing through a hole in the hose.
"Shit."
"What's up?" Omid questions, tilting his head.
Lee sighs heavily as he rises. "The hose has a leak in it."
Omid's eyes widen as he backs away, holding his hands up. "Turn it off, dude! I don't want my eyebrows burned off!"
Lee laughs as he turns the valve, looking around the area for anything he could use to seal the hole. He notices a FRS truck and walks over, hoping there was something of use as he pops open the back doors.
Only two stop signs, some traffic cones, and a roll of tape were inside, people already having scavenged through it.
Lee grabs the tape, nodding with a smile as he closes the doors back up and walks over to the blowtorch.
"Hope this holds," he sighs out as he kneels down, taping up the hole and turning the valve.
He holds the nozzle, which hisses as a small flame appears and stays. Lee leans over to the hitch with the torch, wincing and shutting his eyes as sparks fly around.
"That's crazy!" Omid laughs in excitement, watching with a child-like smile. "Look at it go!"
Lee feels the hitch loosening, "just about got it..."
Omid's smile falls as the rig starts to shift, sliding near Lee. He quickly grabs Lee and pulls him back just as the rig shifted, landing where Lee once stood.
"Whoa!" Lee breathlessly chuckles as he sits up. "Thanks."
"No sweat, man," Omid grins, offering his hand to Lee and pulling him up.
The rig was still blocking the tracks, Lee groaning. "It's barely hanging on by a thread. The smallest cut and it'll go."
Lee picks up the nozzle again, looking between the hitch and the torch.
"I can't reach it now..." He mumbles, turning to Omid and holding the torch out to him. "Here. The weak portion of the coupling is out of my reach."
Omid raises a brow as he pushes the torch away. "You think it'll be within mine?"
Lee barks a short laugh, "no. But I'm gonna dangle you over that ledge."
Omid's eyes widen as he scowls. "The hell you are!"
...
"... You're a real son of a bitch, aren't you?" Omid strains, Lee firmly grasping his arm and keeping him from falling over the ledge as Omid works at cutting the hitch.
"Shut up and keep cutting!"
Ben watches the two for a moment before frowning at the sound of something... Odd.
Was that snarling?
Ben shakes his head in confusion, looking around the area before looking down the tracks, squinting to see further. His eyes widen, his heart dropping in his chest at the sight.
A herd of walkers was approaching, fast. Hundreds, even thousands of them all heading their way, snarling viciously.
"Guys! There's something coming!!"
Omid looks over, his face falling and Lee's eyes widening.
"What the what?!" Omid shrieks.
"There must be thousands," Lee breathes out in horror, adjusting his footing on the road.
"We got to go!" Ben screams as he races along the train, climbing down.
"Fuck! Omid, cut!"
"I'm am!" Omid yells back, squinting his eyes as he looks at the hitch. "It's going! Pull me up!"
Lee pulls his arm back just as the hitch snaps, dropping the rig of oil and cracking it open as it lands with a crash, knocking down the ladder.
"Lee!" (Y/N) and Clement yell in fear, Christa ushering them quickly to the ledge of the train.
"Kenny, go!" Lee shouts, Chuck climbing onto the train with Ben.
Kenny looks up at Lee with uncertainty before switching the lever, the train hissing as it starts up.
"Shit! What the hell do we do?" Omid frantically questions.
Lee looks down at the oil, "hope to God this does something."
He kicks down the lit blowtorch, igniting the oil as the train slowly passes.
"Holy crap!"
"We gotta jump," Lee shouts over the roaring sounds of the walkers, rushing to the other side of the highway.
"What? No way!" Omid shakes his head as he follows, Lee stepping over the railing and looking down with wide eyes.
Omid shakily follows, his eyes also wide with fear.
"Guys!" Christa shouts from the train.
"Come on!" Ben waves to them frantically.
"It's fucking scary, right?!" Omid questions, noticing Lee's tense silence. He looks back at the herd. "... Scarier!"
"Shi--!" Lee screams as Omid pushes him down, Lee landing roughly on the train.
Omid leaps down after him, screaming in pain as he lands wrongly on his leg, tumbling off the train to the ground.
Christa's eyes widen as she jumps down from the boxcar, "shit!"
She races to Omid, helping him up as he hisses in pain, limping after her as they run after the train.
Lee carefully grabs the top ledge of the boxcar and swings himself down and inside, watching Christa and Omid with concern.
They manage to catch up, Lee grabbing Omid's arm and yanking him inside quickly before turning to Christa.
"No! Her, not me!"
(?) Lee saved Omid first
The train moves too fast, Christa disappearing from view.
"Christa, no!! Fuck!" Omid screams in horror, attempting to sit up but groaning in pain. "You piece of shit! She's a woman! Don't you know she's--"
Christa races along the train, Lee gasping and quickly holding out his hand to her and pulling her onto the boxcar.
"Baby!" Omid breathes out in relief, Christa panting lightly as she lands on the floor near him.
"It's okay, honey. I'm okay," she pants out, a small, reassuring smile on her face.
Omid returns a teary smile, as he holds his bleeding leg, Lee grunting as he pushes himself to his feet and looks out the boxcar to the herd.
"That... Was a lot of them."
Clement opens the door to the boxcar, him and (Y/N) entering with concern stricken on their faces.
"Lee!" Clement greets in relief.
"Are you okay?" (Y/N) questions, the two rushing over to him as he smiles softly.
"We're okay, sweet pea."
Omid lets out a weak laugh, "speak for yourself. My leg is fucked."
"We're fine, (Y/N). We're fine." Christa sits up, looking over Omid's split open thigh with a wince.
Lee smiles to (Y/N) and Clement before looking back out to the herd, frowning and hoping they don't follow.

Managed to get a chapter of this done! :D ❤ I hope you enjoyed!
You know, not gonna lie, I thought Omid was gonna be a creepy dude cause of how he reacted to seeing Clementine. Then I realized why he was so hyper to see a kid. It gave him hope that a kid could live in these dark times, because you know, Christa is pregnant
Until the next update, lovelies! ❤❤
