Loss was a frequent visitor in Aurora's life. At first it was an unpredictable storm, the grief travelling through in slow waves and suddenly hitting her like shards of glass piercing through her heart until she became numb to the pain, and reluctantly accepting the reality she was given.

But right now, Aurora hadn't expected it to return back anytime soon, that maybe there wouldn't be anyone else she would fear of losing but deep down there was a feeling that something would go wrong.

And here she was standing in front of his grave.

Tony Stark was the only family Aurora had for a very long time. The man who raised her by himself.

Never did she imagine that she would lose her brother, her father figure, her best friend, her hero.

Her hero. She never got to tell him that.

While humanity was finally given back their peace, she wasn't. She was never familiar with the feeling and when she was given the opportunity, it was ripped away from her hands within a blink of an eye. Instead, all her life she was thrown with disappointment, anger and pain.

She lost too many people she'd grown to love and call family over the years.

She was tired.

And right now she desperately wished she could just go back and change it all. Give herself and everyone the happy ending they all deserved.

But as much as she wanted to be selfish, she needed to accept that this was her endgame.

And it all started when a group of strangers were brought together to save their world.
