Kenny slept through the day only to have no recollection of how Dallon had discovered him that morning. He just seemed tired.

Dallon didn't push the issue, hoping it was just some kind of weird, sleepwalking dream he had accidentally pulled Kenny out of. There was no reason it shouldn't have been, so it felt like a fair assumption to make.

Nonetheless, he had prepared a dinner of popcorn and and old SciFi movie on TV for himself and Kenny. It was a small slice of normality that even Kenny seemed eager to jump into.

Dallon layed across the couch and Kenny rested just in front of him, leaning back on him slightly. Both men quietly ate their popcorn as the movie played on. Sometime before the resolution, Kenny fell asleep leaning against Dallon.

He was always so tired recently.

Dallon held Kenny as the movie continued. He missed this. No one fretting over the other. Leaning against one another. Sharing body heat to combat the chill of the house. Resting in each other's arms.

Dallon pressed a kiss against Kenny's head. The shorter man had been working so tirelessly to care for him, Dallon feared he was beginning to crack.

Waking up to find his boyfriend staring blankly into an empty fireplace had been unsettling. Why hadn't he just stayed in bed? Dallon didn't care if he had been woken up.

Dallon shut his eyes. He didn't want to think about that. He wanted to think about the here and now. This was all that mattered to him.

Nothing was going to change that. Past and future be damned.
