Ara's POV

I sat at the table, letting my mind drift away. I didn't care what I was thinking. As long and I didn't look at Jake I was fine..

My mind drifted off to where ever it did when I wanted it to.. just nothing.. I had everything I wanted back right?

Mom and dad are happy, trunks is happy, Zeno and Mikey are happy.. everyone is great.. but why do I still feel guilty?...

-Ara? Do you have time to talk ?- king Vegeta's voice echoed through my head. I winced in surprised. I sighed..

Oh yea.. that's why...

-sure. Anything to distract my mind from the hellish situation I'm in..- I said.

I could practically feel him frowning slightly when I said that.

-why? What's wrong ?..- he asked, concern lacing his tone.

-.... Jake is in my house. He did something to mom and know they all think I'm in love with the bastard..- I answered.

I heard him growl. - If I were alive right now I would beat the fucking shit out of that bastard-

I laughed a bit. - Aww, look who learnt what swear word was- I said jokingly. He sighed and chuckled. I smiled slightly.

Suddenly I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist.

I looked over my shoulder to see Jake.

"What's so funny babe ? You thinking about me?~" he asked.

"If I was thinking about you I would have puked a few seconds ago." I told him, glaring at him.

"Aww don't be like that~" he told me.

Trunks growled and pulled him off me, pulling me closer to him.

-I see your brother does care for you. I would be happy to meet him some day.- grandfather told me.

-you may not have to wait much longer considering how all this is playing out..- I answered.

-Ara.. don't do anything stupid alright?...- he told me.

I smirked. - I amn't going to kill myself. I'm just going to undo all my mistakes..- I answered him.

"So Ara, since you don't go to school anymore what do you do ?" Jake's father asked me.

"I train with dad and my other 'family members'. Speaking of them mom I promised I'd meet the z fighters on roshi's island today, can I go now?" I asked.

"Actually I was hoping you w-"

"Great! Bye mom! " I said quickly before getting up and going to my room. As soon as I closed the door I sighed in relief.

I locked my door and got changed into a t-shirt and a pair of shorts, quickly checking if Jake was watching me, I then put on my fingerless gloves, my boots and grabbed my knife.

I yawned and glanced at my wardrobe. The box that held the king's talisman & bardock's bandana... I sighed in annoyance before grabbing the two things. Wearing the talisman around my neck and hiding it under my shirt and tying the bandana around my head..

The usual guilt washed over me.. it always came when I wore these items and I hated it deeply.

My tail flicked in annoyance behind me. Stupid fucking guilt..

I teleported to roshi's island. The old perv wasn't here thank fuck but I would see him on my birthday apparently.. great..

"Ara!" I heard someone yell happily. I looked that way and saw krillin. I smiled as he came over to me. I sat down so I was at his height.

"Kami you've gotten tall! You'll be taller then Vegeta in no time !" He yelled. He then hugged me and I hugged back.

"So where's everyone else ?" I asked.

"Everyone else ? Oh, sorry, it's just me today. We didn't know you were coming so they all went off and did there own thing" he said.

"Well I sort of lied to my mom that I promised I would train with you guys so can I stay here for the day?" I asked.

"Sure, i don't want to be alone here anyway. It's boring being here by myself" krillin said. I smiled. On this little island I can forget the world around me.

All my troubles seemed to melt away as I lay in the hot sand. I saw krillin smile slightly before going inside. I kicked off my boots and let the water rush over my feet.

I never wanted to leave this spot.

Suddenly I sensed someone land beside me. I opened one eye and glanced over. It was Mikey. He took off his shoes and sat beside me.

"Nice clothes" I said noticing the new clothes. He smiles.

"Thanks. Zeno said he'd come back later. He just wanted to do something" Mikey told me. I nodded, tapping the sand beside me, signalling for him to lie with me. He smiled more and lay beside me.

We stared at the sky for hours. So long that it eventually darkened and filled with stars. Mike yawns and stood up. A light breeze blew by as he look at the stars. He looks at me and smiled.

He extended his hand. "Do you want some help?" He asked. I shook my head with a smirk on my lips. I took his hand and got up.

"Zeno'll pick us up later. Let's just sleep. It can be like when we were younger" I said. He smiles and nodded. I went inside to see krillin asleep on the couch with the tv on. I rolled my eyes and went upstairs. Mikey fallows me.

We both lay on the bed. I smiled at me best friend as I let sleep take me.

Dream

I felt someone carrying me. I kept my eyes closed and just lay there. I felt safe.

"Ara?" I heard a voice ask me.

"Dad.. five more minutes.." I muttered.

"Kid get up!! We're gonna be late for our mission !" I familiar voice screamed at me. I growled and opened one eye looking the the person who screamed.

I felt my heart stop.

"Pumbukin ?.." I asked in shock.

"Huh? Who the hell did you expect kid ? The king ?" He asked. 

"No.." I answered. I looked at myself. I had they saiyan armour they gave me on.. I didn't have the scar across my back from rayne.. I was 10..

I looked at the person holding me to see toma smiling at me.

"You slept for quite a while. We thought we were going to have to step on your tail" he said. "Bardock's already there. You were still asleep when we came back from the mission"

"... so no one died ?.." I asked.

Totapo looked at me concerned. "Damn.. no Ara we're all ok. Did you hit your head when you landed kid ? Or did those stupid snake people bite you or something?" He asked me.

"What?.. no of course not.. I.. I just had a bad dream alright ?.. frieze came and you guys were dead and then me and bardock went to stop him and.. the next thing I knew the whole planet was gone.. only a few people survived including me..." I said.

"Huh. Weird. Must have something to do with what that fish dude did to your head " selypa said.

"I guess.." I answered.

"Let's just go on the mission. That should clear your head " toma said as he continued towards the pod.

This can't be real... but if it's a dream then why haven't I woken up yet?..
