Ara's POV

There was a bright flash of light and we were on their planet. I didn't May much attention to my surroundings as I was glad that I wasn't in the middle of that argument anymore.

"Come. I'll show you to your room " whis said with a smile.

"Fine. Do what you please whis. I'm going to take a nap " beerus said walking past us, yawning and leaving us.

Whis sighed and started walking. I followed him. He showed me to a room. It had one bed and the walls were blank yet colourful and I felt safe there.

"Now as your already in your pyjama's I suggest you go to bed" whis said. I sighed slightly remembering I never got changed this morning.

"Fine. See you in the morning for training whis " I said to him as he left the room closing the door behind him. I dumped the bag beside the bed and took out grandfather's talisman and grampa's bandana.

I guess I was getting more used to calling them that now..

I lay in the bed and held them close to me. My tail wrapped tightly around my waist as I closed my eyes.

As I dreamed my mind pulled up any bad memories it could find. Even ones that weren't mine.. some were from the android future... I felt my body twisting and turning constantly in my bed till a soft thud woke me up.

I looked down. The talisman had fallen on the floor. I leaned slightly and picked it up.

-can't sleep?- King Vegeta's voice asked.

-no.. bad memories...- I replied. The memory of his body floating in front of me and being turned to ash flashed quickly through my mind.

I felt his hand on my shoulder. -I'll stay with you till you fall asleep- he told me.

I smiled and pulled the blanket over me. -thanks.. - I replied. I could practically feel him smiling back at me.

I stared at the door slightly as my eyes slowly closed.

Flashback

Mom kisses my cheek and trunks'. She smiled at us as we both huddled together for warmth, surrounded by the few presents we had footed for our 8th birthday. Dad leaned against the door smirking or smiling slightly. I couldn't tell.

"Sleep well my little prince and princess " my mom told us before leaving the room and closing it.

Trunks ruffled my hair slightly and held me close. "I love you sis" he said.

"Love you too bro.." I replied. And we both drifted off to sleep.

End of flashback

I smiled at the only happy memory I could think of at that moment.

-night.. grandfather..- I told him before I let sleep take me.

I woke up the next morning to whis smiling at me.

"Wakey wakey!! Time to train ! " he said happily. I groaned and pressed a button on my scouter.

"Whis it's 4 am on earth.." I told him.

"Well, here's a little motivation" he said, suddenly he pulled the bandana and talisman out of my grip, and pulled my knife out of my bag.

"Hey!" I screamed at him.

"If you defeat me like you did the first time we encountered, you will get these precious token's back" he told me, once again leaving the room. I growled and put on the armour he had left earlier this year. I pulled the collar over my neck and put the chestplate on. I went outside and saw beerus standing beside him.

"Well, are you going to fight him or not ?"
Beerus asked impatiently.

I rolled my eyes and got into a fighting position while whis kept smiling.

I charged at him and he jumped over me as if I was nothing. I jumped into the air and kicked him repeatedly yet he seemed to block every single one. I went for a sharp kick to his head yet my foot went straight through him. He was gone. I froze and listened for the sounds that would tell me where he was.

Yet there was no wind here.. I couldn't even hear the slightest sound. And I couldn't sense him. I cursed under my breath and waited.

Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I saw him appear for a millisecond. He was about to hit me with his staff. I flipped out and caught the edge of it with my foot.

If you get my stuff then I'll take your " I told him. I gave it a sharp kick and he dropped it. I grabbed it and landed i charged at him.

"Now it's a fair fight!" I yelled.

I aimed for his legs but he kept dodging as if it were nothing. Yet he didn't see my plan. I kept hitting and hitting till a caught the edge of bardock's bandana with the staff. I quickly pulled as hard as I could and the force made whis drop my items. I threw his staff and I'm him and dived to the ground to grabs by stuff before they hit the ground. As soon as I did I hugged them tightly.

"You risked your life for a burn piece of cloth, a broken relic and a stupid knife. I'll never understand that" beerus said in a bored tone.

"Well lord beerus she did fight and deserved to get those things. The bandana was once a bandage worn by a saiyan warrior after she saved him in battle along with his team, then when he died in frieza's attack along with most of the team, the survivor bardock along with Ara cleaned the blood off him and bardock wore it as a sign of remembrance for his fallen comrades. Then when he was killed in the destruction of planet Vegeta, Ara found it in the rubble. As for the talisman it's all she has left of her grandfather from when she tried to save him and it is rightfully hers" whis explained. I glanced at him slightly wondering how the hell he knew this shit

"And the knife ?" Beerus asked.

"It was a birthday present from my dad" I told him. He rolled his eyes and left.

"Would you like to eat Ara?" Whis asked me.

"You have no idea how happy I am to hear those words. I'm starving "
