"Look what we got here. Its Jackson. Ex-captain of the swim team." Hayden Smith, a junior. I clenched my jaw. My jackass of a team mate got to be captain. He was the guy kissing Annabeth at the party. 

"Back off Smith. No one gives a crap." I realized that Cleo never swears. Her hair was in a loose side French braid. She wore a yellow striped long sleeved collard shirt tucked into a pair of high waisted straight legged jeans. The front of them were lighter than the back. She also wore a pair of black Doc Martens with yellow laces. Her book bag was lazily thrown over one shoulder and her arms were crossed over her Biology textbook. 

"Davis? This puts you even lower now Jackson." He sneered. Cleo rolled her eyes and tugged on my sleeve.

"C'mon Perseus, lets just go to lunch." We walked (I sort of limped) to where Nico sat? Wow Nico looked different.

His normally shaggy hair was short and spiked. He had earrings and gotten taller. Last I heard, he was at Camp Jupiter with Hazel, Frank, and Reyna. Sitting with him was Jason, Piper, and Grover. I noticed Annabeth wasn't with them.

"Hey, guys. Um you remember Cleo right?" I greeted my friends. 

"Whoa Perce. Replaced Annabeth already?" Nico mock gasped. Piper smacked him and I glared at him as I slowly sat down at the table. It was a struggle with the boot.

"Very funny. He's staying with my uncle's client." Cleo said sitting beside me. 

A girl about Nico's age with silky, wavy, orange-red hair, same colored freckles, and bright green eyes in an ankle length blue skirt with a white t-shirt tucked in, came up and sat on the other side of Nico. 

"Hey everyone!" The girl grinned at us and waved. She sort of reminded me of Rachel Elizabeth Dare, someone I'd have to call soon. "Val Gordon. Clear sighted mortal. Pleasure to meet you."

The girl, Val, stuck out her hand across Nico and waited for me and Cleo to shake it. I gave her a gentle shake and greeted her back. We got to talking and she's been one of Nico's friends since the start of school. Nico being a freshman and all.
