Chapter 7

This may be my longest chapter yet. So enjoy!

Socks looked at the group of teens, about ten to thirteen, playing a game. They were playing soccer, and there were five on each team. "Who's winning?" Laff asked, coming over to Socks. "They just started." Socks said. One girl stood out to him. She had blond hair, and was the fastest out of all of them. She was about to shoot a goal, when she suddenly collapsed. "What the?" Laff said. Everyone rushed over, but she then disappeared. Socks laughed. "Power host!" he said. Laff smiled. "I forgot they happen here too," he admitted. The teens were buzzing around, excited to see what gift she would have. Suddenly, a white line shot into the field, and the girl appeared. "Teleportation?" Socks guessed. "Nah, I don't think so." Laff said. They chatted for a moment, then the girl started to run, and she became the white trail. "Dude, she's got speed! She's like Sonic!" Socks said. "Yeah, no kidding." Laff said. Suddenly, a force hit Socks, knocking him over. He hit his head on the ground, and stars appeared in his vision. "Socks!" Laff yelped. "Oh my God, I am so sorry!" Socks looked up and saw the young girl. "I just got my power host, and kinda lost control." she said hurriedly. "No, you're good." Socks said. He carefully stood up, leaning on the railing for support. "You good?" Laff asked. "Yeah, I've been worse." Socks chuckled. "Sorry about that." she said. "No, you're good." Socks said again. Laff sighed with relief, and turned to where the teens were. "I think they're waiting for you." Laff said. "Yeah, I should go. See you!" The girl sped back to her friends. "How's your head?" Laff asked. "It's pounding, but I'll live." Socks said. Laff chuckled. "Come on, let's head back." Socks said. The two of them left the park, and went back to the little community where most middle-class families lived. As they walked back, they saw young kids running around, yelling and laughing. Parents worked on stuff outside, like hanging laundry. "You've got to admit, this place is cool." Laff said. "Yeah, it's amazing." Socks said. They walked past a building when they heard someone say, "You two!" They turned and saw an elderly woman, looking at them. "Come here." she said. They looked at each other, unsure of what to do. "Faith did go to the elders." Socks whispered nervously. "Relax. She seems nice." Laff said. Socks sighed. "Okay, I guess." They walked over to her. She sat in a wheelchair underneath a tree. "You two are the people Faith talked about." she said. "Um...yeah, that's us." Laff said. The old woman smiled. "It's been a while since I talked to people outside of this world." she said. "Wait, you've talked to people outside?" Socks asked, suddenly interested. "Oh yes. When I was younger, I was an assistant for one of the leaders. Erik was his name. He was such a noble man. Alas, he quit being leader when Chaos took his son." Socks hand glitched, but the old lady didn't notice. "Who was his son?" Laff asked. "His name was Smith." the old lady said. Socks gasped. "What?" the old lady asked. "How did Chaos take his son, did he kill him?" Socks asked. "Heavens no! Chaos wanted to leave a mark on Erik. He gave Smith a worser fate. He made him a glitch in time." the old lady said. Laff and Socks looked at each other. "He never told me anything about his past." Socks said. "Aha! So you are the glitch!" the old woman said. "Shit." Socks thought. "Uh, what?" Laff asked, trying to pretend he didn't know what they were talking about. "Faith told me about you. You can trust me, no one knows about it but me and some other elders. They won't say a thing." she said. Socks and Laff sighed with relief. "What's your name, by the way?" Socks asked. "I'm Bebe. I'm one of the few who are the oldest in the community here." she said. Bebe suddenly got quiet. "What's wrong?" Laff asked. "Erik fell into depression after Smith disappeared. He then asked his greatest inventors to make a machine that would allow him to try and find Smith, and maybe talk to him one last time. He knew Smith was gone, but he wanted to see him desperately. The inventors put their minds together, trying everything to make it possible. But alas, nothing came together. Over time, the depression turned to insanity. He went nuts. Finally, the pain of his son got the best of him. He took his own life, found dead in the morning." Socks glitched a tiny bit. Bebe noticed this, and sighed. "Erik was loved by everyone. He lost his wife by assasination, and lost his son to Chaos. He was a noble man, but a broken soul." Bebe got quiet. Laff and Socks didn't know what to feel. They never met Erik, but his story touched them in a way. "What's it like, being a glitch?" Bebe asked. Socks rubbed his neck nervously. "Well, before when I had no control, I was glitching like crazy, and when I talked, it glitched. But the pain...it hurt. It hurt a lot. Then I met Smith. Turns out he's not the only one who became a glitch. He never told me anything about his past." Socks got quiet. Bebe nodded. "It may be too much pain to talk about his past." Socks nodded. "There you are, where the hell have you been?!" They turned and saw Nadwe flying over to them. "Who's that?" Bebe asked. "That's our friend Nadwe, he's a vampire." Laff said. Bebe nodded. Nadwe changed to human, sitting next to Socks. "We got back and all we saw was the note you guys left. They sent me out to find you guys." Nadwe said. "Yeah, we were on our way back when we met Bebe." Socks said. Nadwe said hi to Bebe. "So, you're a vampire? Then why didn't you burn?" Bebe asked. "Um, the power host I have lets me phase through anything, and I found out how to let the light just phase right through me." Nadwe said. "You have a power host?" Bebe asked. "Yeah, I mean, all of us have a power host." Laff said. Bebe seemed interested in this. "Who was the first one to get it?" Bebe asked. "Um, Woolfster and Tbh got it at the same time, but it was Woolfter who used his first." Socks said, trying to remember. Laff got nervous suddenly. That was when he was on Chaos's side. He winced as his ankle sent a shiver of pain up his leg. He sighed. "How long have you had the injury?" Bebe asked. "About maybe three weeks, maybe a month. I've lost track." Laff sighed. Socks closed his eyes, sighing. He had seen Laff's ankle break, when the vine twisted. Nadwe suddenly shivered. "What's wrong?" Bebe asked. "Huh? Oh, nothing, just cold." Nadwe said, chuckling nervously. Laff and Socks looked at each other, knowing what was wrong. Nadwe still felt like he was dead. Laff had told Socks during their stay in the DreamSMP. The two of them, and Meme, were the only ones who knew about it. Nadwe shuffled nervously. The cold feeling of death's hand circling around him. "Relax, you are safe here." Bebe said softly. Nadwe nodded. "Well, we should head back." Socks said, getting up. "Good idea. I don't want your friends to worry anymore." Bebe said. They promised to see if they could come later, and they left. "What were you guys even doing?" Nadwe asked. He had changed to a bat and was sitting on Socks shoulder. "We just wanted to take a look around. We actually saw someone get a power host." Socks said. "Wait, really?" Nadwe said. "Yeah, she's like Sonic now. She accidentally ran into Socks." Laff said. "Yeah, my head is still spinning." Socks said. They went back to the building where they stayed (We need to give it a name...Um, how about it's a bunker for visitors, when they placed survivors from Chaos. That's still not a name...) they went back to the room, and everyone was there. Meme was sitting in a chair, lost in thought. Socks remembered that Meme had been out when Socks came back. Laff gave him a look that said 'Talk to him.' Socks repressed a sigh. "Meme, we need to talk." Socks whispered to him. Meme snapped back to reality, looking at Socks. "Come on, don't make me drag you." Socks said. Meme chuckled, and they went out into the hallway. "Listen, sorry I left, I just...I was so desperate to get everyone back, I didn't think of the consequences." Socks said. Meme sighed. "Socks, you're always going to be risking your damn life for ours. It's no surprise." Meme said. Socks chuckled. "Just please, don't blame yourself for helping us. It's not your fault that we're in this situation." Meme said. Socks sighed, and his arm glitched. He winced in pain. Dino suddenly came outside. "Socks, time's up." Dino said. Socks felt his heart drop. "It's seriously been about a day?" Meme asked. "I'm pretty sure we lost track of time." Dino said. "That means I only have six days left here." Socks muttered. "Faith said we would get there in a day or two, which means that you would have five or four days left." Dino said. Socks glitched with nervousness. "Listen, we'll get ready, and we'll leave." Meme said. "No. Me." Socks said. "Wait, what?" Meme asked, confused. "I'm not going to risk you guys coming with me. I can glitch there, and run back at the speed of light." Socks said. "No, what if something bad happens to you?" Meme argued. "I'll be fine, I have the power host, and I can glitch away." Socks said. "Socks, what if you can't run away in time, what if you get hurt that you need someone else to heal you?!" Meme said. "Meme, I'll be fine!" Socks said. "Just take one of us!" Meme said. Suddenly, something strange happened to Socks. He glitched, and his skin turned purple, his eyes black, like they were empty, and a black line that looked like tears, but they were like pixels, going down his face from his eyes. His spacesuit was a dark, deep blue. Some spots were glitched, some weren't. He glitched again, and was back to normal. Meme and Dino stood there, shocked. "What?" Socks asked angrily. "Um, you just...well." Dino stuttered. Socks could see that there was worry in their faces, and his anger melted a bit. "What's wrong?" he asked. "You glitched up, and...you changed. Your skin changed to purple." Meme said. Socks felt himself glitch in fear. "What?" he asked. "That's not the only thing. Your eyes, they became just black. Like they were empty, and there were these black lines, almost square, but like tears, coming from your eyes." Dino said. Socks was scared. "O.Okay that's kin.kinda bad, ri...right?" Socks asked nervously, glitching. "Dude, breathe." Meme said. Socks took some deep breaths, calming himself down. "Listen, we need to go to the mine. But after what just happened...I can't let you go by yourself." Meme said. Socks glitched a bit more, unsure of what to say. "Please, don't go by yourself." Meme begged. Socks sighed. "Okay. You guys can come." Meme sighed with relief. "Thank you. You finally did something not stupid." "Hey!" Socks said, punching him playfully. Meme laughed. They went back into the room, where everyone waited for them. "You guys good?" Natalie asked. "Yeah, we're fine." Socks said. "Okay, this is my main question. What happened to Chaos?" Natalie asked. Socks glitched more, anger filling him. The name made everyone feel angry and sick to their stomach. Faith sighed. "Draco's power host is the ability to command snakes. He commanded one that sucked the spirit of Chaos out and into itself, holding it. That snake is still holding the spirit." Faith said. "Okay, is someone watching the snake, and is it in a safe and secure place?" Jooice asked. "Yes, Draco is, and they are deep in the woods in a secure hideaway." Faith said. Everyone felt an uneasy weight be lifted off their shoulders. "Listen, we need to leave now, Socks only has six days left." Meme said. Everyone got nervous. They were running out of time. "But mates, I'm still injured." Laff said. "Can you ask the doctors about it? I'm pretty sure the medicine is all gone for your other injuries." Socks said. "Yeah, maybe." Laff said. "Listen, while Laff is getting the ankle issue sorted out, everyone else gets ready. I'm heading back to the area where the other glitches. Might as well save some time." Socks said. Everyone nodded. "Be careful. I'll see you guys later." Socks glitched, and he was gone. Laff held back the sigh in him. He left before the others, heading to find one of the doctors. Soon, he was in a room after having an X-ray. "Well, the good news is that it is finally healing." Laff sighed with relief. "But the bad news, it's going to take almost another two months." the doctor said. "Wait, what?" Laff asked. "Because the damage was so extreme, it's going to take longer than usual." the doctor said. "But I don't even!" Laff said. The doctor thought about that for a moment. "Well, we can't speed it up sadly." the doctor said. Laff felt his heart fall. "But, we can do something that can let it heal while you walk. And are you going to be going through tough terrain?" the doctor asked. "Probably?" Laff guessed. "Alrighty, I have an idea. But it will require you to be asleep." the doctor said. "How long will it take?" Laff asked. "About an hour or so." the doctor said. "And another half-hour to wake up, and get used to whatever they did." Laff thought. "Alrighty, let's do it." Laff said before he could change his mind. The doctor nodded. In a few minutes, Laff was on his back, starting to question his life choices. He had let Meme know what was going on, so at least one person knew. "You ready?" the doctor asked. Laff nodded. Suddenly, everything went black.

...

"Ugh." Laff groaned. His body felt heavy with the drugs used for numbing the pain and sleeping. "Laff, can you hear me?" he heard someone say. He nodded, and the person sighed with relief. He opened his eyes, and saw Jooice. "Hey mate." Jooice said. "How long was I out?" Laff asked. "About a half-hour." Jooice said. Laff nodded, his hypothesis being correct. He sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. When he looked at his ankle, he was surprised. From his foot to about the middle between his foot and knee, was a strange metal cast thing. It wasn't exactly a cast. His leg was still exposed, but it was encased in metal bar things that were spaced out. His foot was wrapped in some type of padding. "I honestly don't know what that is, but it does look really cool." Jooice said. Laff chuckled. He sat up, his body still sore. "Man, how much medicine did they use?" Laff asked. Jooice shrugged. Laff carefully put his right foot down, placing a little weight on it. No pain went up his leg, and he felt his heart leap. He placed more weight on it, and still no pain. "Want some help standing up?" Joocie asked. "Good idea." Laff said. Jooice came over, and helped Laff stand up. His center of balance was off, and he stumbled a little bit. He managed to regain his balance, placing weight on his foot. "I need to find out they did." Laff said. Jooice laughed. They made their way out of the room, step by step. "Okay, I'm going to let you go now." Jooice said. Laff placed one of his hands on the wall, and Jooice let go of him. He was a bit unsteady at first, but the wall helped him regain balance. And in a few moments, he was walking like normal. "There we go!" Jooice said happily. Laff smiled. "Oh, yeah, where's my gas mask? They took it off during the procedure." Laff asked. Jooice smiled, and reached into his sweater pocket. He pulled out his gas mask, and gave it to him. "Made sure no one else touched it." Jooice said. Laff grinned, putting his mask back on. "Come on, everyone got ready. I got some stuff for you, but I figured you might want to get some yourself." Jooice said. "Yeah, probably." Laff said. He was never so happy. He could finally walk again with both feet. "Come on, I'll show you where I put your stuff." Jooice said. They both left the hallway, heading to where they were getting ready.

...

Socks had fallen asleep on one of the couches when he went back to the little house where the other glitches were. He was just so wiped out, and needed to take a break. "You good Socks?" Socks opened his eyes, and saw Jessica. "Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm fine. Just tired." he yawned. Jessica giggled. "Come on, we'll make you a room." Socks was confused. "What do you mean, make me a room?" he asked. "Remember, we're in a place where we can, well, make anything just by thinking about it. How else did we make this house?" Jessica asked. Socks got up from the couch, and followed Jessica upstairs. "Where's everyone else?" Socks asked. Jessica sighed. "We're not the only glitches here Socks. But we are the ones who know not to mess with time. We go out to different timelines to stop other glitches, we call them rogue glitches by the way, and stop them before they mess time up." Jessica said. Socks pondered that for a second. "What do they look like?" "I've only seen one in my life, and he scared the devil out of me. Purple skin, his eyes were only black, like they were empty. Some parts of him were glitched, other parts were not." Jessica shook her head. "I knew that stopping them wasn't the job for me." Jessica looked at Socks. "You feeling okay? You're as pale as a ghost!" Socks was leaning against the wall for support, the world spinning. "Socks, what's wrong?" Jessica asked, worry filling her. Socks still didn't say anything. "Stay here." Jessica said. She ran down the stairs, and grabbed a phone. "Jessica? What's up?" Smith asked. "Something's wrong with Socks, he's pale as a ghost, and he's keeping his mouth shut!" Jessica explained. "I'm on my way." Smith said. A few minutes later, Smith glitched into the room. "I was telling him you guys were looking for rogue glitches, and something happened!" Jessica said. They both went up the stairs, and they gasped. Socks was at the end of the hallway, skin purple, eyes black, the same lines going down his face. "Good Lord, he's gone rogue." Jessica whispered. Socks grinned evilly, taking a step closer to them. "We can't erase him, his friends would kill us!" Smith said. "Then what do we do?!" Jessica asked. Socks suddenly glitched, and fell to the floor, back to himself. Jessica and Smith ran over to him, cautious though. "How did this happen?" Jessica asked. "Rogue glitches come from when they have a reason to change to time. He must've had a reason to want to change time." Smith said. "But he knows the rules!" Jessica said. Smith sighed. Socks suddenly groaned. "What the hell happened?" "Pal...we need to talk." Smith said.

...

"WHAT?!" Socks yelped. He was a rogue glitch? But how! Socks started glitching more, panic and fear blooming inside him. "Socks, relax." Jessica said. "How can I relax, when I am becoming, or already a rogue glitch?!" Socks asked. "Socks!" Smith said sharply. Socks looked at Smith. "Listen, we can fix this. But first, we need to know why the heck you would want to change time." Smith asked. Socks sat back on the couch, nervous. "Listen, we know you would never mess with time, but if the rogue you takes control...it's going to be bad." Smith said. Socks sighed. "It's been about half a year, maybe a year? I don't know, I've lost track of time. But we've known Chaos for a long time. He's messed everything up, starting with messing with Laff's mind, and making him kill Meme's wife." Socks said. Smith and Jessica looked at each other. "Let me guess, you want to go back in time to stop Meme's wife from being killed." Smith said. Socks didn't say anything, then nodded. Smith nodded. "Listen, if that's the start of it, then that's the worst place to go. The farther back in time you go, the more drastic the change." Smith said. Socks nodded. Suddenly, he glitched, and was back to being a rogue. Smith and Jessica stood up, their guard up. "Socks, you need to relax." Smith said. Socks smirked. He suddenly punched both of them, knocking them out. He smiled, and glitched away.

Socks opened his eyes, looking at his hiding spot. He was in the tree, and had a great view of the wedding area. He saw himself and Blaza talking. He saw Meme coming up, a smile on his face. He then saw Laff, who played like the innocent character. He needed to act fast. When he saw himself alone, he went behind, and knocked himself out. He dragged his past self and hid him. He tied him up, so he couldn't escape. He glitched, making himself look like he was himself, and went into view. It was just as he remembered. Everyone getting ready, Nadwe being annoying. Just everyone having a good time. Then the moment came. Meme and Wiktoria were about to be married, when...Socks leapt out of his seat, and pain went into his side. "SOCKS!" Meme yelled. He groaned in pain, his side on fire. He opened his eyes, and saw everyone had gathered around him. "He saved Wictoria." Blaza said. "But how did he know?" Tbh asked. Socks sat up, his side screaming at him. "I'm fine." Socks said. "No, you're not, you just got shot!" Meme said. Socks was taking deep breaths, his head spinning. Blaza and Woolfster helped him up, placing him in a chair. He noticed that Laff was giving him a cold glare. When no one was looking, he smirked. Laff's face changed to a shocked expression, but it quickly disappeared. He groaned as the pain went through him. Wictoria mooed in worry. "I'll be fine." Socks said. He did it. He saved Wictoria. Everything would be fine. "Hold on Socks." Meme said. Socks suddenly felt something pulling the bullet out. He opened his eyes just enough to see Meme holding a pair of tweezers with the bullet. Socks sighed with relief. He fell into darkness, glad everything would be fine.

Present day

Meme's head suddenly began to spin. He sat down, taking deep breaths. "Meme? What's going on?" Laff asked. They were in the same room, getting ready for the journey. Laff's head also began to spin. What was even more strange, is that everyone in the group started having a headache. "Something is going on." Tbh said. "Yeah, really?" Nadwe said. Everyone was confused. "Gah!" Jooice yelped, clutching his hand. When he looked at his hand, he felt his stomach flip. His hand was covered in bright white cracks. "Um, guys?" he said shaikly. When he showed the others, Muffin winced in pain, his hand now covered in the same white cracks. "What's happening?" Blaza asked, fear in his voice as he looked at his hand, covered in cracks. Soon, everyone in the room had white cracks on their hand. "Bebe must know something." Laff said to himself. He grabbed his gloves, putting them on. "L4FF, come with me." Laff said. L4FF nodded, and followed behind Laff. After walking through the community, they found Bebe outside. "Bebe!" Laff called. Bebe turned and sighed. "Your friend has gone rogue." "What do you mean, rogue?" L4FF asked. Bebe sighed again. "He has messed with time. He has changed the past. And now, you are affected by it. When the cracks cover all of you, you'll cease to exist." Bebe said. Laff felt his heart stop. "Cease to exist?" Laff asked. Bebe nodded. L4FF was nervous. That didn't sound good. "But you need to go back in time and reverse whatever Socks did. Once you do that, you'll be safe." Bebe said. "But how do we go back?" Laff asked. He gasped in pain, the cracks traveling up his arm a little. "You are going to run out of time. Quickly, run back and make a plan. If you're too late, you'll shatter!" Bebe said hurriedly. L4FF nodded. "C'mon Laff." Laff nodded, holding his arm. They ran back to the shelter, and found a horrifying sight. Meme already had cracks about halfway around his body. Laff finally put two and two together. "Socks went back to the wedding day. He saved Wictoria." Laff said. A heavy silence hung in the air. "How?" Meme asked, wincing in pain. "He went rogue." They turned and saw Smith, and next to him a young woman. "I can't explain it all to you, I don't have a lot of time. But Jessica can." Smith said. Smith glitched, and disappeared. Jessica sighed. "There are some glitches, who want to change time. They go crazy about it. We call them rogue glitches. They'll stop at nothing to change time to please them. We've been constantly trying to stop them, get rid of them. Sadly, Socks became one of them. He's messed with time." "Wait, did he turn purple?" Dino asked. "He's been rogue before?" Jessica asked. "For a split second, we thought it was just because he was running out of time." Meme said. He gasped in pain as the cracks spread. His knees buckled, and TBVG caught him. "Meme is running out of time." Jessica said. "Yeah, so are we, but how do we get out of this?" Tbh asked. "I suggest you close your eyes. Some pluses to slowly being cracked." Jessica said. Suddenly, everyone felt the world spin. "Whoa!" Nadwe yelped when he opened his eyes. They were in the same cozy house that Socks was before. "This will stop the cracks from going any further." Jessica said. Meme sighed with relief, sitting on one of the couches. "How are we going to get Socks back?" Laff asked. "I don't know. I don't know." Jessica said. Suddenly, a young man glitched into the room, making everyone jump. "Sorry. But I'm Carter. And I think I might have something that can help." he said.

"Oh man." Socks groaned. "How did you know?" Socks jumped awake, then winced as his side filled with pain. He looked and saw Laff, leaning against the wall. "How did you know Wiktoria was going to be shot?" Laff asked, his voice dangerous. Socks chuckled. "Laff, I know what's going on. I know who L4FF is." Laff felt shock fill him. "How...how do you know him?" he asked. "Laff, I know who made L4FF." Socks said, getting up from the bed. Laff suddenly got a bad vibe coming from Socks. Socks glitched, and Laff yelped. "What is wrong with you?!" Laff asked, fear filling him. "I've been through much more than you, Laff." Socks said, chuckling. Laff tried to leave the room, but Socks stopped him. "Nuh uh uh." Socks said, smirking. Laff was trapped. "Socks, we can talk about this." Laff stuttered. Meme and Blaza suddenly burst into the room, and pinned Socks down. Socks struggled to break free, but Blaza kept him down. "What's gotten into him?!" Laff asked. "That's not Socks." Meme said. Laff was confused, then saw Socks standing in the doorway. Wait, Socks was lying on the floor, but he was also in the doorway. Laff's eyes widened. "This one is not actually Socks." Meme said. "Am I?" The Socks on the floor said. The Socks in the doorway was unsure of what was happening. "What if I told you that I became a glitch in time in the far future?" The Socks on the floor said. "What's a glitch in time?" the Socks in the doorway asked. The Socks on the floor chuckled, then glitched away. Blaza fell to the floor a few inches, hitting his chin. "Ow." he said. Socks glitched back in the room, smirking. "A glitch in time is someone who doesn't have a specific timeline they are supposed to stick to. They aren't alive, but they aren't dead. They can change anything in time." Socks looked at Meme. "If I didn't come, Wiktoria would've been dead, and you would've blamed me." Socks said. The past Socks felt his heart drop. "You would blame me?" The past Socks asked Meme. "What? No!" Meme said. "Yet you did. You tossed me in the gulag. You didn't even let me give a chance to talk until later. We had a war!" Socks said. Meme, Blaza, Laff, and the past Socks felt their blood freeze. "Yeah, then you know what? We thought it was Tbh. Then we found out who it really was." Socks gave Laff a hard look. "Laff?" Meme whispered. "Now wait a second, let me explain." Laff said quickly. "You would've killed Wiktoria?" Meme asked, anger filling him. "Not exactly." Socks said. Meme turned to him. "Then who would've?" Meme asked. "A monster called Chaos." Socks said. They all stared at him. "Chaos?" Blaza asked. Socks nodded. "He used Jooice as a host, nearly killed me, and we met everyone on the DreamSMP..." "Okay, I'm sorry, but that all sounds like bullshit" Meme said. "Is it? Then how come Wiktoria is still alive, and I've suffered a bullet injury?" Socks asked. Meme fell silent. Socks smiled. "See? I'm, what? About a year in the future? And let me say, a lot of stuff happened. I mean, if the war had started, Nadwe would've become a vampire!" Socks said. "What?!" Blaza yelped. "Yeah, and you know what? He died and was revived." The room fell silent. "Nadwe...dies? In the future?" Laff asked. "Then gets revived. Then, of course, he bites Meme on the neck, and Meme becomes a vampire. Well, more like a half-vampire." Meme felt his heart drop. Half-vampire? He would've become a vampire?! "Laff and L4FF get along, and L4FF even gives his life to save him!" Laff could sense L4FF in his head feel shocked. "But then what's going on with our future selves?" Blaza asked. "Honestly, I don't know. I'm certain that they're fine." Socks said. "How can you be sure?" Meme asked. "Does it look like I know!?" Socks yelled. Meme backed up, scared. Socks took a deep breath. "The mesures I have taken to save Wiktoria. That doesn't mean I'm done." "You're not going anywhere until we know what's happening to us in the future." Laff said. Socks glitched, and became rogue. "Do.es this ma.make you chAnge yo.yo.you're mind?" Socks asked. Laff was definitely afraid but he couldn't let the future Socks ruin everything. "If you were the Socks from the future, he would be worried sick about his friends." Meme said. "Socks!" Laff jumped. He turned and saw...he saw himself! And L4FF!?" "What the hell?!" the past Laff yelped. Socks groaned. "Great." "Socks, you need to snap out of it. Don't you realize what you're doing?" Laff said. Socks lost it. He made a sword of light, and charged at Laff. The Socks from the past jumped out of the way, and Laff made green discs. He blocked Socks moves, dodging. Socks kept pressing on Laff, forgetting about L4FF. L4FF snuck up behind Socks, and hit him hard in the head. Socks went limp, and was out like a light. Laff was panting hard, looking at Socks. "Are you?" the Laff from the past asked. "Yeah, from the future. So?" Laff said. He looked at all his friends from the past. He sighed. This was going to be hard. He pulled a device from his pocket. It was a sphere, and was neon blue. "Hopefully this works." Laff mumbled. "What is that?" the past Blaza asked. "It'll make things right." L4FF said. The Laff from the past tensed. L4FF noticed, and sighed. "I'm not going to hurt anybody." L4FF said. "Did you really give your life to save mine?" the Laff from the past asked. Laff and L4FF looked at each other. "Yeah, he did. And he's somehow alive." Laff said, smiling softly. The Laff from the past gasped softly. How? L4FF used him as a puppet! "We need to get going, so...yeah." Laff said. He pressed a button on the sphere, and it started to blink. "What is that?" the Blaza from the past asked again. "It'll make things right, and hopefully not screw up." Laff said. Then suddenly, Laff, L4FF, and Socks disappeared, leaving the sphere. "Um..." the past Socks started to say. Then time reversed, going back to the wedding day. Laff and L4FF saw Socks disappear, and saw him up in the tree. Laff quickly moved, hiding from view. He grabbed Socks, and then moved back to his hiding spot. "Socks, you're killing us!" Laff hissed. L4FF held Socks down, while Socks struggled to break free. "Socks, snap out of it!" Laff said, then slapped Socks. Socks glitched, and gasped. "Oh God, where." Then Laff covered his mouth. Laff put a finger to his mouth. Socks nodded, confused. Then he realized what he had done. Tears welled up in his eyes. Laff sighed. "Let's go home." Laff said. Socks nodded. Laff pulled out another sphere, neon purple this time. "Hold it." Laff said. Socks put his hand on it, along with L4FF. "Hold on." Laff said. He pressed a button. Suddenly, a feeling that something was tugging at Socks filled him, and everything went black. Then he blinked, and found himself back in the cozy little house. "Socks, you idiot!" he turned, and was slapped in the face from Meme. "Ow, what the hell?!" Socks said, rubbing his face. "You nearly killed us doing that!" Meme said loudly. Socks got quiet. Meme sighed, then grabbed him in a hug. "Don't scare us like that." Meme whispered. Socks sighed, hugging him back. "I couldn't stop myself. I just wanted..." Socks fell quiet. "Socks, I don't care if Chaos is trying to kill me, all I care about is making sure you guys are safe and happy." Meme said. Socks was still quiet. "Socks...Wiktoria died. She's gone, nothing can bring her back. But if she was here, she'd tell me to make sure you, and everyone else is okay." Meme said. Socks looked at Meme, glitching a little. "You don't need to change time to make all of us happy." Meme chuckled. Socks rubbed his arm. "How did I hurt you guys?" he whispered. Meme sighed. "Um...when you changed time, we started to...um...crack. We had these white cracks on us, and when we were completely covered in the cracks...we would shatter. We would die." Socks felt tears well up in his eyes. "Socks, you weren't trying to do it on purpose. It was the rogue in you. We need to stop the rogue." Meme said. Socks couldn't handle it. He almost killed his friends. "Socks, please." Meme asked. Socks glitched, and he disappeared. Meme stood there, quiet. "Meme?" Laff asked, nervous. He saw Memes' fists clench. He gave L4FF a look. L4FF nodded, and pulled a potion out of his pocket. He threw it, and it landed and splattered on Meme. He sighed. "Seriously?" He then fell to the ground, asleep. L4FF felt the same unsure feeling of how he got more potions. Laff put Meme on the couch, and sighed. "Are we going to find Socks?" L4FF asked. Laff was quiet for a moment. "Let's give him time. It's not everyday you find out you were killing your friends." Laff said. L4FF nodded. "Laff...I need to talk to you." L4FF asked. "What is it?" Laff asked. "I don't know how I got the potions. I only remember grabbing one, and that was to put Dream asleep. I grabbed him and went out, I didn't take another potion with me. Then I fell asleep. I'm worried...I'm worried I woke up and took some, but I can't remember and I don't know why." L4FF explained. Laff could see that L4FF was stressed out. "Listen, after this glitch fiasco is over, you and I will work together on this. I'll admit, I was confused on where you got them." Laff said. "Laff...do you think it has to do with the black stuff?" L4FF asked. Laff had never thought of that. "I...I don't know. We both don't know what that black stuff is, but whatever it is, we'll figure it out." Laff said. L4FF nodded. "For now, it's just a waiting game." Laff sighed. L4FF nodded. "Let's hope Socks doesn't do something bad again."

Holy shit that was lot. But Socks almost broke time. That's fun. Any questions, let me know!
