Seth hid in the shadows, his mind silent. "YoU fOoL! YoU lEt ThEm SlIp FrOm OuR gRaSp!" "I don't need to be reminded! I will not let you down again!" Seth said bitterly. "UsE tHe PoWeR i BeStOwEd OnTo YoU!" "Not yet. We need them to come out of their little hole." Seth said. "aNd WhEn WiLl ThAt Be?" "Soon. They won't hide forever. They know I'm still here, and I'm willing to bet some of them would love to kill me. When all of them are together, that's when I strike." "YoU bEtTeR bE rIgHt. Or ElSe." Seth sighed, and left the shadows, the voice fading. He looked at the destruction around him. Smoke filled the sky, and the heat stung his eyes, but he didn't care. All that stopped him from accomplishing his goal was that group. He clenched his fists in anger. They always had to get in the way! Now, they were hiding, in fear. He chuckled. That's just how he liked it. He shot into the air, power coursing through his veins. It made him stronger, heal faster, and quicker, making him more than a regular human. He landed on top of a building that was still standing. He heard voices inside. Tueres. He smiled, and lept through a window. He crept around, and saw that it was two men, looking for survivors. Seth knew this building was empty, and chuckled. "What was that?" one of the men said, looking around. "It could be anything Nick." the other man said. "Let's just check the bottom, then get the hell out of here." Nick said. "I don't think you'll get to the bottom." Seth said, appearing. The two men jumped, and backed up from him. "But hell? You may not get out of there, but in." Before the men could say another word, two vines shot at them, and blood splattered the walls. The men groaned, and the vines left, and they fell to the ground. "ArE yOu JuSt GoInG tO sTaNd HeRe AnD kIlL pEoPlE?" "No. I'm simple removing any factors that might get in the way." Seth said. The voice sighed. "wHaTeVeR." Seth looked out the window, when he saw someone. Someone in a green sweater. Dream. Seth felt his heart flip. Finally. He leapt out of the window, and followed him. Dream was limping, his leg bleeding. He had just finished bringing some survivors to safety, but knew very well he wasn't safe. "I know you're there Seth! Just come out!" Dream yelled. Quiet hung in the air. "FiNiSh HiM!" "With pleasure." Seth said. Seth shot a vine at Dream, but Dream knew this would happen. He ducked and rolled out of the way, grunting in pain. Seth shot more vines at him, and Dream cut most of them, but one hit his side. He screamed in pain, falling down. "Useless." Seth hissed. He shot a vine at Dream, and it pierced his chest. He gasped, breathing softly. "Oh my, are you sad? Didn't expect death to come to you?" Seth asked. Dream just lay there, unsure of what to do. "lEaVe HiM. lEt HiM dIe AlOnE." Seth took one last look at him, then left. Dream started to drag himself to a closed-in area, gasping for breath. A trail of blood followed behind him, and he finally laid in the shadows, and sighed. He would be fine, right? He would...be...fine...
...
Dream groaned, waking up. His chest was on fire. But he was alive. How? "Hello Sleeping Beauty." He turned, and saw GeorgeNotFound. He chuckled. "Hey George." George let out a sigh of relief. "You were lucky. Me and Sapnap were coming when we saw you. You were almost dead!" Dream sighed. "Seth saw me. I tried to fend him off, but...he's just always hitting over and over again." Dream winced in pain, his hand hovering over his right side where the wound was. "Meme said you lost about 35% of your blood, so...you were really close." Dream shut his eyes, the pain bothering him. Someone knocked on the door suddenly. "Come in." George said. Someone stepped in. Someone they did not expect. "You okay Dream?" Jshlatt asked. "Uh...yeah. I guess. Just...painful." Dream said. Jshlatt was the person on the DreamSMP that gave Dream the book. And he blamed himself for a lot of stuff that had happened on the SMP. So he lived by himself, isolated. But the portal opened the new worlds, he came out more. "Everyone was wondering, so I finally decided to find out for them so they would stop talking." Jshlatt chuckled. His horns made him look intimidating, but deep inside, he was kind. Dream and George laughed a bit, but Dream winced. "How bad is it?" Jshlatt asked. George shrugged. "Meme wouldn't tell us. Guess he didn't want to worry us." Jshlatt nodded. "Anyway, I'll head back to the others and let them know that you're going to be okay. See ya!" Jshlatt left, leaving George and Dream confused. "Wondered why he came to see us. Well, besides to make the others shut up." Dream said aloud. George chuckled a little. "Anway, get some rest. You'll need it." George was about to leave when. "Oh yeah! I completely forgot to say this, but everyone is back safely." Dream let out a sigh of relief. George left, and Dream closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
Two days later...
Tbvg woke up the next morning, his body sore. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, and got up. He changed, and looked briefly into the mirror. Fatigue filled his eyes, and the bright white section of hair stood out against his purple hair. Oompa had decided to dye the section over, but Tbvg had chosen to keep it. He didn't know why. He guessed he just liked it. He left his room, and went to the main room. To his surprise, Nadwe was there, looking at everything. "Nadwe?" Nadwe spun around, looking at Tbvg. Confusion filled eyes as he looked at Tbvg. "Do...do I know you?" Nadwe asked. Tbvg felt a shiver go down his spine. He knew Nadwe battled memory loss, but didn't expect this. "Um, yeah. You may just not remember me." Tbvg said. "Ah." Nadwe said. He looked away, sighing. "It's okay. I don't blame you." Tbvg said. Nadwe looked back, his blood red eyes shining. "I guess...it's hard for me to...nevermind." Nadwe sighed, then suddenly changed into a bat. "Dang it." Nadwe said. Tbvg offered Nadwe his hand, and Nadwe went on it. Tbvg held Nadwe close, and Nadwe snuggled close to him. "It'll be okay." Tbvg said. "I know." Nadwe said, then suddenly winced. "You good?" "Yeah, just memories coming back." Nadwe said. "What kind?" Tbvg asked. "Mostly about you." Nadwe said. Tbvg didn't say anything. "Nadwe?" Tbvg and Nadwe turned and saw Meme. "He's over here." Tbvg said. Nadwe flew over to Meme, and Meme held him close. "How you doing Tbvg?" meme asked. "Hanging in there." Tbvg sighed. Suddenly, the tiny hat on Nadwe flew off, heading right to Tbvg. He ducked, and the hat fell onto the floor. "Still acting up?" Meme said, worried. "Yeah. Have no idea still as to why the hell it's acting up." Tbvg sighed. He grabbed Nadwe's hat, brushed it off, and gave it back to him. "Thanks." Nadwe said. Tbvg smiled a little, but it quickly faded. His hand strayed to the white section of hair, his mind getting lost. "Hey." Meme said, snapping his fingers in front of Tbvg. Tbvg shot back to reality, and sighed. "Sorry. Got lost in thought." Just then, Ssundee and Sigils and Crainer came in. "Got bad news. We saw Seth outside. He seems to be looking for us." Crainer said. Nadwe looked up at Meme, fear filling him. "What's he going to do?" Meme didn't know how to answer. "The only way to get in here, is to use a power host, or one of the special keys we have. So I don't think he can get in, but I don't want to jinx myself." Meme said. Tbvg rubbed his face, trying to squish the stress and anxiety building up in him. "I'll go talk to Natalie. I'll see what she says." Meme said. Nadwe flew out of Meme's hands and shifted back to a human. Fear filled his eyes, and he looked at his hands, which were still covered by black veins. "Listen, we're going to be fine." Tbvg said. At that moment, he would realize how wrong he was. A sound like a cannon sounded through the base, and everyone fell, letting out cries of surprise. Chunks of the ceiling came down, almost crushing Sigils. "MOVE! GET OUT OF HERE!" Meme shouted. He grabbed Nadwe and Tbvg, and pulled them with him. Ssundee grabbed Cranier and Sigils, and the six of them ran out of the room. "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?!?!?!" Wilbur Soot said. "GET OUT! JUST MOVE IT!" Meme said. Everyone was starting to try to escape. "BLAZA!" Meme yelled. Blaza turned around, and ran back to him. "Can you stabilize the foundation at all?!" Meme asked. "No, something is making it collapse! And fast!" Blaza said. A chunk of the ceiling collapsed, almost hitting Nadwe. He yelped, and shifted into a bat. "Nadwe, wait!" Meme shouted, but it was too late. Nadwe was already flying out, and squeezed himself through a tiny hole. "Shit!" Meme said. He shifted into a bat, and followed Nadwe through the same hole. "Nadwe!" Meme yelled. He looked around, his heart pounding. "MEME!" He whipped his head around, and his blood froze. Nadwe was back to his human form, but was trapped in a black vine, and a few feet behind him...was Seth. "Well, hello again! Do you like my remodeling?" Seth laughed. "Put him down. Now." Meme said, his voice dangerous. "You know, I am SICK AND TIRED OF YOU ALL!" Seth yelled. Meme backed up a bit. Seth never got this loud. "You think that you can stop Chaos from reforming the world into a chaotic mess? One which there are no laws, no one to say you can't do that, and that you can do whatever you darkest wish is?" Nadwe looked at Seth, his memory blank of this man still. But there was something in his eyes. One of hatred. One that made you want to just make that person suffer, for no reason at all. Nadwe knew that feeling. Every time he lost control, he wanted to just suck people's blood, for no reason at all. And he hated it. And the fact that this man did it, and enjoyed it, made him sick. Suddenly, memories flood his head, making him yell in pain. There were so many of them, some not even with Seth in them. He groaned in pain, his head spinning. "Put him down!" Meme yelled. He shifted back into a human, and made water shurikins that floated in the air. Nadwe looked at Meme, and fear filled him. "Meme, don't do this!" Nadwe said. "Quiet!" Seth said, and punch Nadwe in the chest. Nadwe gasped for breath, the wind knocked out of him. Meme got ready to throw the shurikens, but Nadwe phased through the vines, and fell down. He quickly got up, and backed away. It had been quite a long time since he phased through something. That fact that he managed to do it surprised him. "Don't think you'll get away." Seth said. He shot vines not and Nadwe but at Meme. They tied him up, and proceed to squeeze him tightly. Meme choked for breath, losing focus on his shurikens. Seth chuckled darkly, when he was suddenly thrown back by a strong force. He hit the ground hard, scraping his face. Half of it was scraped off, and blood dripped down his face. "WHAT THE HELL?" he yelled. He turned, and felt his heart stop. Nadwe stood in front of Meme, purple fire surrounding his hands. "I'm tired of you torturing me and my friends! We're not a game for you to play!" Nadwe yelled. Meme stared at Nadwe in shocked. What had happened to the scared, jumpy, depressed Nadwe? "What was that?" Seth asked himself. He stood up, but then Nadwe shifted into a bat, and somehow disappeared. "Nadwe?!" Meme asked. He was still stuck in the vines, yet they had loosened up, so he could breath better. Seth looked around, confused. Suddenly, someone hit him from behind, and he yelled in pain. His vision went black for a second, then he was punched again, pain flaring through him. He opened his eyes, and saw Nadwe standing a few feet away, panting. The purple fire in his hands faded, and he looked to the distance. Suddenly, something deep inside him told him to go there. That something even worse was coming. Something that they would never be prepared for. "Nadwe?" Meme said. Nadwe looked back at Meme, torn. Should he stay with Meme, and fight Seth, then live their dream lives of not being hunted? Or leave, fighting the elements, to find whatever was in this vast world? But...what about Meme? He went over to Meme, ignoring Seth. He grabbed some rubble and started to cut the vines. Once he had freed Meme, Meme grabbed him in a hug. Nadwe held Meme tight, yet the feeling that something worse was coming nagged at him. "Meme...I think I have to go." Nadwe said. "What?" Meme asked, confused. "Meme, I have this feeling, that...that something worse is coming. And the answers are out there. I want to ignore it, but it keeps nagging at me." Nadwe said. "Nadwe, please, you can't leave! You could get hurt out there, or worse!" Meme argued. "I know! But it just keeps nagging at me." Nadwe said. He looked back to the distance.
"I have to go Meme." "Nadwe, please..." Meme begged. But, before Meme could do anything, Nadwe changed into a bat, and flew away. It felt like someone had ripped out his heart. His mind stopped working, and everything was numb. His legs started to run to the direction where Nadwe had gone, but he stumbled, and fell down. He got to his knees, but didn't get up. He was frozen. He stared at the ground, his mind full of thoughts, yet somehow silent. "Meme! Nadwe!" he heard someone call. He couldn't move. He couldn't speak. He felt someone put their hand on his shoulder. "Meme?" It was Jooice. "Meme, where's Nadwe?" Jooice asked. Meme couldn't speak. "Meme, where's Nadwe!" Jooice said loudly. "I...h..." Meme stuttered. Jooice looked back to the others. "Something's wrong with him. He's...in shock." Laff ran over to him. "Meme..." Laff looked at him, then looked around. He didn't see any sign of Nadwe, nor any signs that he had been killed. "Did...did Nadwe run off?" Laff asked. A few seconds passed, when Meme did the tiniest nod. Jooice looked at Laff, horrified. "Meme, is he okay?" But Meme had gone silent again. "What do we do now?" Jooice asked. "You...can all go to hell!" Jooice and Laff turned, and saw Seth standing up, his face covered in blood. "What happened to you?!" Ally asked. "That stupid child smashed my face into the ground." Seth said bitterly. Zane smirked. "Serves you right." That was a fatal mistake. Black vines appeared around him, and pulled him into the air. "ZANE!" KawaiiChan shrieked. "I'm fine!" Zane yelled. The vines got tighter, and he groaned. "Okay, maybe not." he whispered. "That fact that you're friends with the stupid vampire makes me laugh!" Seth said. "How dare you! Nadwe's at least a good friend! But you? I don't even think your family likes you." Zane said darkly. Half of the group struggled to hide their laugh. Seth tightened the vines more, and Zane gasped for breath, his face turning purple. Suddenly, the vines snapped, and he dropped down hard. He took a long breath, his head spinning. KC ran from the group, kneeling next to Zane. "Zane, get up!" KC said. Seth yelled, and shot vines at them. Laff quickly reacted, and made a shield to protect them. The vines hit it, and cracks appeared on it. Laff struggled to keep the shield up, Seth being a lot stronger than he thought. "That's it." Seth said. He took a deep breath, and everyone felt the air change. It seemed to pulse with darkness. Seth opened his eyes, and they were black. "Chaos has finally rid himself of his past host. The yellowish green color? That was Carlos's essence. He's very lucky to be a spirit. Now he is rid of the traitor. Now...he has me." Seth said. Multiple vines sprung up, all of them aimed for the group. They shot at them just a a green dome surrounded them. Laff struggled to keep the dome up, but the vines stabbed at it multiple times. Suddenly, cracks appeared, and Natalie gasped. "That's impossible!" Laff felt his energy draining, but if he let go, they were screwed. "Y'all better get something to fight with, cause I can't hold on for long!" Laff said. Everyone knew what was at stake here. If they weren't careful, they would wind up dead. Dream knew that he couldn't die at all, or else no one could come back to life. "We're ready when you are Laff." Socks said. Laff took a deep breath, and made the dome come down. Now I am going to pause for a moment. I saw this show once called Blown Away, and it's about glassmaking. Now in one of the episodes, one of the players makes a gas can with a spout, with a candle right beneath it, surrounded by gasoline. Right at the tip of the spout, is a tiny drop of gasoline, ready to fall onto the candle. That split moment, that sense of tension, horror, and fear...that was the moment as the dome fell. The split second of horror, and fear, of what was to come. Vines struck from all sides, everyone getting a taste of Seth's new and deadly power. Some people fought alone, some side by side. But they all struggled, getting forced to the ground, only having to get back up and face the fury again. Laff stayed close to Meme, who struggled the most to fight after Nadwe's strange absence. "Meme, watch your left!" Laff yelled. Meme shot a water bullet at the vine, and it shattered. He let out a shaky breath, his fist clenching. "MEME, WATCH OUT!" Laff yelled. Meme swerved around, just as a vine slammed right into his chest. He went flying back, hitting the ground hard. His vision went black around the edges, and he groaned. Half of him wanted to pretend that he was knocked out, or dead, or just something that made it look like he was unable to fight. He had no more energy, no more hope. Where had Nadwe gone? "Meeeeeemeeee." he heard someone say in a sing-song voice. He felt himself being lifted up, by who or what he didn't know. "MeMe, ArE yOu TiReD?" the voice said. Meme nodded slowly. The voice was almost entrancing. "tHeN rEsT. nO nEeD tO fIgHt AnYmOrE." it said. He nodded again. "gOoD nIgHt, MeMe." Suddenly, he felt pain throughout his body, and he gasped. His vision came back, and he saw a black vine stabbed right through his chest. He suddenly dropped, and the wind was knocked out of him. Soon enough, his vision went black again. "I tHoUgHt YoU wErE tIrEd?" the voice said. He was stabbed again and he screamed in pain. "MEME!" he heard someone scream. Green surrounded him, but the voice didn't stop. "LoOk At YoU! yOu CoUlDn'T sAvE nAdWe! YoU cOuLdN'T eVeN sAvE yOuR oWn WiFe!!!" Meme snapped. The dome shattered, and Meme swung a water sword at the vine coming right for him, and it was sliced in half. Meme held tight to the sword, which was turning red from his blood, his tears and sweat splashing on it. "I don't know who you are yet, but don't you dare talk about my wife." Meme whispered dangerously. "Oh MeMe. YoU'vE aLwAys KnOwN Me." the voice said. He looked around, seeing everyone fighting. Techno was doing remarkably well with only one arm available. Zane and Ein were teamed up, swinging up and down. Sigils almost took a vine to the head if it weren't for Biffle who shot it with an AK-47. "...why me?" he whispered. Why did he have to be the one who's heart broke thousands of times? Anger pulsed through. This anger would never let go, never faded, never ever leave. He swung his sword at Seth with yell, tears falling down his face. It barely scrapped him, drawing a tiny bit of blood, but the after affect was shocking. Seth's face with horror, pain, anger, and sadness. He fell to his knees, screaming. Everyone stopped to look. Meme stepped back, confused by what happened. Seth looked up, and a vine grabbed Meme by the waist. It pulled him over, but Meme was still in shock to fight against. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Seth yelled. "I, I, don't know!" Meme stammered. "You barely scraped me! Then how the hell did I fell like I lost something special a split second later!?" Seth demanded. Meme was at a lost for words. Seth threw him against the ground, breaking Meme's ankle. He screamed in pain, the made another sword. Seth was about to stabbed him with another vine when he paused. He was looking at Meme's sword. Meme looked at the sword, and gasped. Even though it was a newly made sword, it still had his blood, sweat, and tears in it. He made that one disappear, and made a new one. Still the same. "Meme, get over here." Socks brought Meme over, and made him sit down. Socks turned back, the air silent. "No one else has to get hurt Seth. Let's make it just you and me!" Socks said. "Socks! What are you doing, you'll kill yourself!" Wilbur said. "I'll be fine." Socks said. "If he is willing to do it, why not let him?" Seth said, smirking. Socks repressed a sigh. "I know what you did Seth. You can't hide it from Natalie and Zack forever." Socks said. Seth flinched, still smirking. "Socks...what are you talking about?" Natalie asked. Socks sighed. "When I was away, I saw Seth in our world. He...he destroyed your home. He killed the three wolves." Natalie took a sharp breath, clutching her brother's arm. "No." Natalie whispered. Seth barked out a laugh. "I was bored! What did you expect me to do, play cards while I waited?" Natalie's knees buckled, and Zack had to hold her up. "Easy, hey, breathe." Zack whispered, his heart pounding. "Zack, our home, our home." Natalie squeaked, tears falling down her face. Socks sighed, then glared at Seth. He shot a light bullet at him, and Seth dodged. "Is that all you got?" Seth laughed. He wrapped Socks up in a tentacle. He drew Socks close to him. "If you think you had a split thought that you could kill me, well, you thought wrong." Seth whispered. "I know that I can't kill you. You're too strong!" Socks said. Seth smirked. "But..." Socks whispered. "What?" Seth asked. Socks fell quiet, as if taunting Seth. "What. Is. It?" Seth asked. "Chaos is, well, nothing more than a spirit. People thought he was a person, but in reality, he's a spirit." Socks said. It took Seth a good few seconds to understand what he meant. His eyes widened, but before he could do anything, Socks's eyes glowed a mummy tan, and thrusted his hand out. Seth screamed, and a black, wispy thing came out of him. Socks and Seth fell to the ground, and the black thing seemed to write in anger. Seth panted, his energy all gone. Meme couldn't hold back. He made a sword and ran it right through Seth's chest. Seth gasped, looking Meme dead in the eye. "This...is for ruining not just mine...but everyone's lives." Meme whispered, his voice filled with venom. Seth felt his life ebbing away. "Chaos..." Seth gurgled, his blood spilling out of his mouth. Meme pulled the sword out, and Seth crumpled. Seth was dead. A weight seemed to be lifted off everyone. But Socks turned to the black wisp. "YoU tHiNk ThAt YoU bEt Me? ThInK aGaIN!" It shot at Socks, and seemed to go in him. Socks stumbled, holding his chest. It seemed to writhe around inside him. The power...it was indescribable. But he knew it was dangerous. "Socks?" Dream asked, holding George, whose leg was covered in blood. "I'm fine." Socks said, yet his voice was strained. "Socks, please don't tell me he's in you." Jooice asked. Socks hesitated before nodding, and winced. "Shit." Jooice whispered. "Just...need to breathe for a sec." Socks said, sitting down and holding his knees to his chest. He took deep breaths, Chaos slowly infecting him. "Socks, you need to do something now!" Laff said. Socks took another deep breath, his head starting to pound. "Socks!" Jooice said, shaking him. "Okay, back up!" Socks said. Jooice and Laff backed up, and Socks thrusted his hand out again. The black thing came out, and seemed pissed. Socks took a breath, regaining strength. "Do YoU wAnT tO kIlL mE?" Chaos asked. Socks looked hard at it. "If I'm not wrong, then I'm killing you for everyone." Socks said. He shoved his hands apart, and the black thing seemed to be ripped apart. Chaos shrieked in pain, and Socks kept ripping him apart, again, and again, and again. Then the black stuff faded. Chaos was gone. The sun rose, the dust settled and the tension faded. The battle was won. It was over.
