Chapter 15

Hey yall, hope you guys are doing well. Here is the next one, yet its a lot in one so please read slowly. Enjoy!

Socks woke up, and sighed. Another day as a glitch. He got out of bed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. He looked in the mirror, and saw that he was pale, and must've lost a bit of weight. He glitched a bit, and sighed. Someone knocked on the door just then. "Come in." Socks said. Laff entered the room, and softly smiled. "Rough night?" Laff asked. "What makes you say that?" Socks asked. "You have bags under your eyes." Laff said, sitting on the bed. Socks nodded, then yawned. Laff chuckled. "I feel like a zombie." Socks said, sitting next to Laff. "Maybe you're glitching in your sleep and you don't even know it?" Laff guessed. Socks shrugged. He didn't mind being sleepy. It just gave him a reason to take a nap all the time, and just get away from everything. "Please, help us." Socks looked around, biting his lip. Another reason to want to head back to bed. "You good? You just got really pale. Almost like a ghost." Laff asked, worried. "Huh? Oh, I'm fine. Just...still sleep deprived." Socks lied. He hated lying, but why was he doing it? "Help us" "Your the only one who can." Socks fists clenched, wishing for the voices to stop. "Socks, what's wrong?" Laff asked. "Nothing." Socks lied. What was going on?! "Mate, something is wrong, just tell me!" Laff said. Socks felt a sudden rage fill him. "No, you're not going to yell at him." A voice in the back of his head said. The rage slowly faded, and a twisted knot of emotions filled his chest. "Socks, please." Laff asked. Socks was torn. Tell Laff, or lie? The emotions unknotted, and everything came out. "Laff, I don't know what is happening to me, I'm always hearing the voices, begging for me to help them, and I always want to lie, and I don't know why, and I'm just so angry all the time at everyone for no damn reason. I just don't know what's going on!" Tears had started to fall down his face, and he held his arms close to him. Laff had gone quiet. "I just felt like I had to keep everything quiet, and not tell anyone. That it was for the best." Socks said, his voice cracking in some places. Socks sat there, crying, when Laff gave him a hug. "It's going to be fine mate." Laff said softly. Socks hugged Laff back, grateful for a friend. "Listen, once this glitch saga is over, we'll get help for this power host thing, all right?" Laff said. Socks nodded, wiping the tears away. "Also, I meant to tell you, but TBVG and Oompa are fine." Laff said. Socks sighed with relief. "Good." "Help us. Please." Socks looked around wildly, goosebumps appearing on his skin. "Is it the voices?" Laff asked. Socks nodded. "Just try to ignore them." Laff said. "That's the thing, I can't. They pop up at random times, I, I can't ignore them!" Socks said. "You can help us." "Save us!" Socks felt his heart start to race. Suddenly, Meme came into the room, making Socks jump, and fall off his bed. "You good?" Meme asked. "Um, not sure." Laff said, shaking his head at Meme. Meme helped Socks up. "You good?" Meme asked again. Socks shook his head. "I'm just tired." he lied. Laff gave Socks a look. Socks slapped his head. "I did it again, I just lied!" "So you're not just tired." Meme asked. Socks nodded. "Help. Please." "Please, we need you." "HELP!" Socks gasped when the last voice yelled, shocking him. "Whoa, what happened?" Meme asked. "Someone just yelled for help." Socks mumbled. "Okay, we need to take care of this before he goes insane." Laff said. "Yeah, but we need to take care of this glitch thing, which is why I'm here." Laff and Socks looked at him. "All of us went to the mine. They're all waiting for us." Meme said. Socks felt his heart lift. "You must be joking." "No, but it took a while..." Meme suddenly fell quiet, his face falling. "What is it?" Laff asked. "Um...Seth somehow escaped again." Meme said. Socks glitched, same as Laff. "What?" Socks asked. "But this time...he took Nadwe. He did something to him. Nadwe...he nearly killed me." Meme whispered. Socks and Laff looked at each other. "How did he escape?" Everyone jumped when L4FF came into the room. "Why are you so much quieter?" Meme asked. "Truth be told, I don't know. But how did he escape?" L4FF asked. "Um, about that. Is Carlos listening?" Meme asked. It was quiet for a few seconds. "Fine, I'm eavesdropping." "Good, because Seth is now the new host for the spirit of Chaos." Meme said. Everyone had a different reaction. Socks glitched and disappeared, Laff went pale in seconds, and L4FF disappeared as Carlos took control. "WHAT?!" Carlos yelled. "How?! I thought Carlos was holding it!" Laff said. "I know, but where the heck did Socks go?" Meme asked. Silence hung in the air, then Socks came back, and crumpled to the floor. "I ended up in the forest, and felt sick in seconds." Socks groaned. Meme sighed with relief. He helped Socks up, and made him sit on the bed. Socks held his stomach, dazed from the sudden nausea. "Listen, he has Chaos in him, and he's already bad enough. If he's planning an attack, we have to be ready. We need to get you guys back now, or else we're screwed!" Meme said. Everyone got quiet. "What do we need to do?" Carlos asked. "We need to find a certain crystal that Bebe made. She placed it within the mine." "But there are THOUSANDS of crystals!" Socks said. "And what if we keep checking the same one again?" Laff asked. "That's why I have a plan. When we finish checking one, we place a colored dot on it, showing that it has been checked." Meme said. "That's smart." Carlos said. "Um, I won't be able to help. Remember I will instantly feel like crap." Socks said. "I can stay with you." Laff said. Socks softly smiled. "Thanks." Suddenly, a look of terror crossed his face, and looked around. "Is he good?" Carlos asked. "No, he's trying to keep sane from the stupid talking to the dead host." Laff said, squeezing Socks shoulder. Socks bit his lip again, and a thing of light appeared in his hand. He started fidgeting with it, trying to calm himself. "Socks, we need to go." Laff said. Socks got quiet, then sighed. "Okay. Let's go."

...

"There they are." Tbh said. He saw Meme, Socks, Laff and L4FF come into view. Laff was helping Socks, who looked sick. "You good Socks?" Blaza asked. "Just running out of time." Socks whispered. Laff helped him sit down, and sat next to him. "We need to get to work, now!" Meme said. Soon, everyone, alongside the glitches, worked to see which one made the glitches feel better. Socks had put his head between his knees, taking deep breaths, and glitching like crazy. "Relax Socks, breathe." Laff said. Socks nodded. "This is insane." L4FF muttered. He was working with Smith and Dino. "Eh, could be worse." Dino said. "Define worse." Smith chuckled. He was pale, not feeling well. "You good? Do you need to sit?" Dino asked Smith. "Huh? No, I'm fine." Smith said. L4FF shrugged. "Look, there's Carter and Gaea." Dino said. "Wait, what did he just say?" Carlos asked L4FF. "That's Carter and Gaea." L4FF said, looking at them. Carlos went quiet, and L4FF felt a sense of disbelief and grief and joy fill him. "No way." "Hasn't changed a bit." The Carter they met was Carlos's brother. "Oh, shit." L4FF muttered. "What?" Dino asked, concerned. "Huh?" L4FF asked, not realizing he said that aloud. "You just said 'Oh, shit." Smith said. "We REALLY need to work on keeping your mouth shut." "How about you shut up?" "L4FF, I need to see him!" "No, not yet! We need to help them first. Then we can see Carter." "Please, I haven't seen him in years, he's the only one that I care about so much that I would risk my life for him." "L4FF, are you good?" Dino asked. "Just Carlos." L4FF muttered. Everyone had been told about the Carlos-Chaos situation. "What's he saying?" Smith asked, placing a blue dot on an orange crystal. "Just about the crystals." L4FF lied. "Nice save." "Thank you." Suddenly, they heard a yelp from Jessica. L4FF leapt over a crystal, running to her. Smith and Dino weren't far behind. L4FF reached her, and gasped. She was touching a cyan crystal, and her glitch was slowing down. "I...I found it." Jessica whispered. "GUYS! OVER HERE!" L4FF yelled. In a few minutes, everyone was there, even Laff and Socks. Jessica was still holding the crystal, relief and joy filling her. "Question is, whether she'll still need to have a piece of the crystal with her all the time or not." Smith said. "Let's be safe than sorry." Woolfster said, and carefully removed a piece of the crystal. "Anyone have string?" Woolfster asked. When no one answered, he sighed. "Just hang on to it very carefully." Woolfster said, giving it to Jessica. She removed her hand, and her glitch increased a tiny bit, but then disappeared. "What's it feel like?" Socks asked. "For the first time in so long, I feel so much better. So much energy, and no more pain." Jessica said. Socks suddenly gasped, holding his head. "Socks?" Laff asked. "Get out of here, the rogue is trying to take over." Socks said. "Get him over to the crystal, now!" Meme said. Laff carefully brought Socks over, but he was a second too late. Socks glitched, and became rouge. "Mi.Mi.Miss me?" Everyone backed up, unsure of what to do. "Socks, you need to snap out of it, you're running out of time!" Ally said. "Am I.I? Iguess. Bu.t I might as.s.s we.well le.ave a m.mark." He made a sword of light, and looked straight at Carter. "Per.perfect." he smirked. Carter backed up, afraid. "Don't hurt him!" Everyone turned to L4FF, but his eyes were yellowish-green. "Socks, please, don't hurt him!" Carlos said. Carter was confused, knowing it was Carlos talking, but then he realized there was only one person in the world who would put their life on the line for him. "No way." he whispered. Socks shrugged. "So? Do.Does Itt lo...oke like I.I.I care?" And before anyone could react, he glitched, and shoved the sword straight through Carter's chest. Carter gasped for breath, and coughed on his own blood. "NO!" Carlos screamed. Carlos took out his own sword, and shoved it into Socks arm. Socks let go of the sword, and it disappeared. Carter fell, like a rag doll. Meme and Blaza held Socks against the cyan crystal, and Socks screamed. "LE.LET ME G.GO!" The rogue tried to make an escape, but he lost. He glitched, and Socks was back to normal. "Ow! My arm!" Socks groaned. Meme and Blaza made sure Socks was still holding the crystal, and removed the sword. "What the hell..." He then saw Carter, and Carlos kneeling next to him. "Oh, shit. What the fuck have I done?" Socks whispered. He pulled away from the crystal, and knelt next to Carter. Carlos was holding his brother's hand, grief and anguish filling him. "Carter, you can't leave. I already lost you so many times." Carter chuckled weakly. "I'll be fine. I'll be fine." Suddenly, he went limp, and life disappeared from his eyes. Carlos felt like a bullet went through him. "No." he whispered. Socks stood up, tears falling from his face. "It's my damn fault." he whispered. "No it wasn't." Carlos said. "YES IT IS!" Socks yelled. Everyone was on edge now. Socks was on thin ice. "Why do none of you understand?! The reason I became a rogue in the first place was because I wanted to change time, despite the consequences! So it's my fault that I killed Carter!" Socks said. He looked down, and an eerie feeling settled in the air. He looked up, and his eyes were mummy tan. "Oh no." Laff whispered. Carlos backed up, knowing something bad was going to happen. "Want to see your brother?" Socks asked softly. Carlos suddenly was pushed back, but something was wrong. The spirit of a young man, see-through, floated in the air. L4FF's body suddenly shifted from dark gray to light gray. The young man seemed dazed, then realized what had happened. "What have you done?!" he yelled. It was Carlos. "You missed your brother, now you can say hi." Socks said calmly. Carlos stared at him. "Be careful what you wish for." Socks said. Carlos flinched, as the line reminded him of when Chaos made him a glitch. Suddenly, Socks faded away, leaving everyone worried and confused. Carlos was somehow visible still, and L4FF was waking up. "Ow, my head." L4FF groaned. "You good?" Laff asked, holding a tiny piece of the cyan crystal in his hand. "Yeah, but...I can't hear Carlos." L4FF said. "About that..." Laff said, looking at the spirit of Carlos. L4FF saw Carlos, and put two and two together. "Socks pulled him out. Didn't he?" L4FF asked. Laff nodded. "What do we do now? First, we dealt with rogue Socks, now we're dealing with Socks that can basically control the dead!" Tbh said. "I think we realized that, but we don't even know where he is!" Carlos said. Carlos sighed, looking at his hands. "I should go. I'm no help to you." "No, you have to stay with us. What if Socks is more powerful than we think?" Oompa said. "That's right." TBVG said. Carlos opened his mouth to argue, then sighed. "I'm just a spirit. What can I do!?" No one exactly knew how to answer that question. "Listen, if we split up, we're just going to get caught easier. Please, Carlos." Meme said. Carlos shook his head, then Blaza said "Carlos, I think your time being all alone made you think that you should still be alone." Carlos was caught off guard. How did Blaza know that? "Listen, it's just what I think, but I'm pretty sure that when you were in there, you missed being around people. Human beings are social creatures, and when they're alone for so long, they start to go nuts. I wouldn't be surprised if you started talking to someone who wasn't real." Blaza said. Carlos shrunk a bit. He did start talking to imaginary people. "I'm just saying, that when you were alone, you wanted to talk to people, but when you came back...you must've forgotten what it was like to be surrounded by people." Carlos was now looking down, his emotions swirling inside him. "Stay with us. We can help you." Blaza said, a soft smile on his face. Carlos looked at Blaza. "You promise to help me?" Carlos asked. "Yes! I promise!" Blaza said. Carlos felt relief fill him. Blaza always kept a promise. "But Socks could still control him. He managed to pull him out of me." L4FF said, looking at his light gray hand. "That's part of the liquid thing. It only held Chaos in, along with me, but now..." Carlos said. "Wait, is Chaos still in him? Because I know Seth has the spirit of Chaos in him, but what if he has, like...remains of it?" Jooice asked. L4FF felt unease settle in him. Meme sighed, then his head started to spin. "Great." Meme groaned. "What?" Laff asked. "I need blood." Meme said. Ally looked at Meme like he was crazy, then remembered he was half-vampire. "I'll be right back." Meme said, then changed to a bat and flew out the mine. He looked around for any wild animals, and found a lone cow. "Weird, but, whatever." Meme said. He flew down, and went right through the cow. Suddenly, someone grabbed him, and started to put something on him. "HELP!" Meme screamed, but then something was put over his mouth. A muzzle. The same one he had put on by Dino. His heart raced, and he tried to escape, but he was unsuccessful. "Well now, that was fun. I love illusions." Seth said. Meme felt fear spike in him. "I don't know how you're alive, but whatever. I might as well keep you as a pet!" Seth said. Meme curled into a ball, tears poking his eyes. He was trapped. "Aw, you going to cry?" Seth mocked. Meme didn't care. He just closed his eyes and Seth took him away.

...

"Meme's been missing for five hours now!" Tbh said. "I think we all know that." Smith said. All the other healed glitches had gone off with the doctors for check-ups and to tell them about their time as a glitch for research. Smith looked older, as his age was now back to twenty-six. "My guess...Seth got him." Smith said. "Most likely." Laff said. L4FF was looking up at the ceiling, lost in thought. He had noticed he felt different. Like he was filled with more energy. He sighed. He was probably tired. "I'm heading to bed." he said, getting up. "Kay. Good night." Laff said. L4FF left the room, and went to his bed. He lay on the bed, and closed his eyes. His mind floated in darkness, and he felt something stir inside him. It felt familiar, but he wasn't sure. Suddenly, someone was shaking him, and he woke up. Laff and Carlos were looking at him, worry in their eyes. "What happened?" He suddenly noticed something glowing in hand. He looked at it, and realized it was the same power that Chaos used when they first met him through Zack. It was a light greyish now though, not black. "Holy..." L4FF whispered. "Is it good or bad? Can he control it?" Carlos asked. "How would I know!?" L4FF said. "Listen, Carlos came here to check on you, and saw the power, and came to me. Did anything happen before you fell asleep?" Laff asked. "No. I just went to sleep. But I thought I felt...something stirring inside me." L4FF said. "Hmm." Laff said, getting lost in thought. Carlos was worried. "Guys, can we please worry about this later? I'm tired." L4FF sighed. Laff hesitated. "Fine, but first thing tomorrow, we're going to figure this out." "I'll make sure to sleep in then." L4FF said. Carlos snickered. "Dude, who's side?" Laff asked. Carlos shrugged. Laff rolled his eyes and L4FF laughed. "Get some rest, and don't do anything stupid." Laff said. L4FF shook his head, chuckling. He lay back in bed, and went back to sleep.

...

Meme sighed, his wings sore. He was put in a small cage, and was miserable. He had seen Nadwe, but Nadwe paid no attention to him. He couldn't sleep, as he couldn't get comfortable. He sat there, his thoughts silent. He looked up, and saw Nadwe looking at him. His eyes widened, but he shrunk, remembering that Nadwe had no idea who he was and was following Seth. Nadwe stood there for a few seconds, then turned around and left. Meme felt tears prick at his eyes, and let them fall. Where did everything go wrong? "Well, someone is looking sad." Seth said, appearing out of the shadows. Meme paid no attention to him, looking away. "Is that how you're going to act?" Seth mocked. Meme felt rage and grief fill him. How much he wanted to kill him. But he wasn't a killer. "Well, you must be sore." Seth said. He opened the cage, and pulled Meme out, quite roughly. He carefully undid the straps, but kept the muzzle on. Meme stretched his wings gratefully. Seth was up to something though. He wasn't this nice. Nadwe appeared from the corner which had been filled with shadows. Meme turned away, unable to face him. "It hurts, doesn't it? Having someone you care, not even knowing who you are? All they want is to kill you." Seth said. Meme felt his heart race, and wanted to be deaf to his voice. "I lost everything because of you, but now, now that I have the spirit of Chaos in me, I'll make you lose everything." Meme lost it. He flew into the air, and shot past the doorway. "STOP HIM!" Seth yelled, and Nadwe changed into a bat, and flew after him. Meme flapped as hard as he could, and found an open window. He flew out of it, and flew into the dark forest. He flew past branches, leaves, and twigs, his breath fast. Nadwe was close on his tail though, moving through the obstacles like they were not there. Meme had tears in his eyes. He couldn't be trapped again! Suddenly, something dragged him down, and he disappeared in a hole. "Be quiet." It was Socks. He held Meme close to him, and went down a tunnel. Meme was shaking, his breath heavy. Socks, went down another tunnel, and appeared in a open area. He grunted, shoving a stone to block the entrance. He made a thing of light, and it floated in the air. "Stuck in it again?" Socks asked. His eyes were back to their old brown, yet he seemed stress. Meme stayed close to Socks, tears falling from his face. "Hey, it's going to be fine." Socks said. Meme shook his head. Nothing was going to be fine. "Listen, you're tired." Socks said softly. Suddenly, they heard someone hit the rock. "Nadwe." Socks whispered. He carefully went behind the rock, and shoved it. Nadwe came bursting in, and Socks went out the small room and ran. Nadwe turned around, and started after him. Socks ran up a steep tunnel, and burst into the open. "Fly away, the community is north!" Socks said. Meme looked at Socks. What? "Go!" Socks said, and Meme flew out of his hands. Socks summoned a light sword as Nadwe came out of the tunnel. "You wanna fight? Let's fight." Socks said. Nadwe hissed, and purple fire appeared in his hands. Socks swung his sword at Nadwe, but he jumped into the air, and almost hit Socks in the jaw. "Kay, not cool." Socks said. Socks shot a lightbeam at Nadwe, and it grazed his arm. Nadwe shrieked in shock, and held his arm. Socks had to be careful, or he could accidentally turn Nadwe into dust. Meanwhile, Meme was flying as fast as he could to the community. He saw distant lights, and flew right down to the door. He changed to human, and then realized he still had the muzzle on, but it had somehow gotten bigger to fit him. He opened the door, and ran inside. He ran to the nearest room, and found Oof and Oompa together. "Meme?!" Oof yelped. Just then, Meme's knees buckled from lack of energy. Oompa went over to him, and helped him back up. "What the hell are you wearing?" he asked, pointing at the muzzle. Meme gave him a look, and Oompa stopped talking. "How do you take this off?" Oof asked. He had bags under his eyes, and looked pale. Meme gave Oof a concerned look. "I'm fine. Just had sleepless nights." Oof said. "What is this material?" Oompa asked. Meme shrugged. But he then remembered that Dino had a knife that cut through the stuff before. He looked around for paper and pen, and found some on the desk. He went over to it, and quickly wrote about Dino and the knife. When Oompa and Oof read it, Oof ran out the room to get Dino. Oompa pulled out a small pocketknife, and tried to cut the rope. Meme was about to stop him when it slipped and scratched his cheek. Meme's reflexes went into action, and he grabbed Oompa's wrist and flipped him onto his back. "OW! Meme, chill!!" Oompa yelled. Meme shook his head, and helped Oompa up. He gave Oompa an apologetic look, and Oompa sighed. "Sorry. Hold on, I'll get first-aid." He dug through his closet, and pulled out a first-aid kit. He got a damp paper towel, and wiped the blood off his cheek. Meme sighed. Stupid muzzle. Suddenly, Oof and Dino came running in. "Did Seth do this?" Dino asked. Meme nodded, then closed his eyes, fear and surprisingly, loneliness filling him. Dino pulled out the same blue knife, then saw the cut wound. "No other knife can cut this stuff." Dino said. Oompa nodded. Dino carefully placed the knife, and pulled. Yet it didn't cut through. "What?" Dino gasped. Meme looked at Dino, fear in his eyes. "Hold on." Dino said. He repositioned his knife, then tried to cut again. The same result as last time. "I don't understand, it worked last time!" Dino said. Meme suddenly felt lightheaded. Was it harder to breathe? "Hey, Meme, you need to stay with us, calm down." Dino said, shaking him. Meme pulled away, and leaned on the doorway. He was so tired. He touched the muzzle, and then felt something metallic. He got confused, then felt another piece of metal. "Wait, one, second." Meme thought. He went back to Dino, and grabbed the knife. He looked at it closely, and saw hints of metal in it. It was just as he thought. It was Përzier. His eyes widened. How did Seth have so much of this stuff?! "Meme, what is it?" Oof asked. Meme still couldn't talk, so he quickly wrote down everything on paper. "Përzier? Do you think it's that?" Oof asked. Meme nodded vigorously. "Okay, but what does that have to do with this not working?" Dino asked. Meme repressed a sigh. Why did he have this stupid muzzle? He rubbed his neck, only to be met with the power restrictor. He had forgotten all about it. He had had it on since the first time he got muzzled. He tried making a thing of water, but it didn't work. "Hold on." Oompa said. His eyes glowed metal silver, and twisted his wrist. The power restrictor bent, and broke. Energy streamed through him, shocking him. He stumbled, his heart racing. Oof went over to him and held him steady. "Shocking, huh?" Oof said. Meme nodded. He tried making water again, and a small ball of water appeared in his hand. Finally. He started to play with the small ball, and it flew through the air. "Okay show-off, we get it." Dino said sarcastically. Oof and Oompa laughed. Meme snickered, then lost focus. The ball landed on the muzzle, and splashed all over it. Meme shrugged. Not the end of the world. "Whoa, what the?!" Oof said, shocked. Meme was confused, then realized the water was making the muzzle dissolve. He made more water, and covered the muzzle in it. It took almost two minutes before he could rip it off. "Thank God!" Meme said, throwing the muzzle away. He wiped the water off his face, and sighed. He suddenly got tackled in a hug by Dino. "Next time you go to find blood, one of us is coming with you." he said. "Yeah, I figured." Meme said. His eyes were heavy with sleep, and he yawned. "I think I'm ready for bed." "Yeah, you had an exciting night." Oof said. "I'll go with him, make sure he doesn't fall asleep on the floor." Dino said. Everyone laughed, and Dino and Meme left. Oof sighed, and laid on the bed. "But how did the water dissolve the mask and not the knife?" Oompa wondered aloud. "If I'm right, the knife is just solid water, mixed with the Përzier. But the muzzle must have a different amount of something, so the knife didn't work it." Oof said. "Huh. That's very smart." Oompa said. Oof sighed. Oompa could see that he was tired and a tiny bit stressed. "Listen...we'll get revenge on Seth. He'll pay for trying to keep me dead." Oompa said. Oof nodded. When Oompa had been dead, Oof had been in grief. He had locked himself in his room, and had disappeared from the world. Doctors finally got him out of his room, and when he was at the hospital, they said he was in shock. Then when Oompa came back, he thought he was the one who died. "I'd better get going." Oof said, sitting up. "Probably, it's 10:00." Oompa said. Oof said good-night, then left. He walked down the hallway, lost in thought. Suddenly, he ran into someone and stumbled. "Oof?" Tbh asked. "Oh, sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." Oof mumbled. "You're good. Are you okay though? You looked exhausted." Tbh asked. Oof shrugged. "Sleepless nights." He had been using that a lot. "Well, get some rest then." Tbh said. "Oof nodded, and went on his way. He opened the door to his room, and closed the door and locked it. He sighed, and went straight to his bed. He pulled the blankets close to him, and closed his eyes. But sleep wouldn't come to him. He twisted and turned, yet he couldn't get comfortable. He felt his heart race, and stress fill him. He groaned, then threw the blankets off. He sat on the side of his bed, rubbing his eyes. Why couldn't he sleep? He got up, and went straight to the hospital. "How can I help you?" the receptionist asked. "Um, lately I haven't been able to sleep. I honestly don't know why." Oof said. He nodded, and looked at a piece of paper. "Doctor Sproke is available. I'll ask him to make sure he's fine with it." He got up, and went down the hallway. Oof sat in one of the chairs, and sighed. Why couldn't he sleep? A few minutes later, the receptionist came back, and nodded to him. "Head down the hallway, and take a left, and it's the third door on the right." he said. "Thank you." Oof said, and went down the hallway. When he reached the door, he knocked on it. "Come in!" someone said inside. He entered, and saw a man in his forties, with light brown hair that had some white streaks in it. "I'm Doctor Sproke. Nice to meet you." he said, holding out his hand. Oof shook it saying, "Hi, I'm Oof." "So you're having trouble sleeping?" Doctor Sproke asked. "Yeah, almost for, what, half the week? Every time I go to bed, I just can't get comfortable, and just feel stressed." Oof said. Doctor Sproke was writing everything down. "Did anything happen in the past week that may have brought on the stress?" "Um...my friend ended up in the hospital." "Really? How come?" Doctor Sproke asked. "We were looking for our friend out in the forest. We didn't know where he was, so we thought he went outside for a walk. Then this snake beast came up behind us, and attacked him, scratching his chest. We were scared as hell." Oof said. The memories began to resurface, and fear and horror settled in him. "Oof!" Oof blinked, and saw Doctor Spock looking worried. "Sorry! I just...got lost in thought." Oof said. Doctor Spock looked at him. "Is your friend okay though?" "Yeah, he's fine." Oof said. "Okay, so your friend is okay, even after getting scratched. How did you react to him getting scratched?" Doctor Spock asked. Sweat began to go down his neck, but he didn't know why. "I honestly thought he was going to die." he said quickly. "Are you okay?" Doctor Spock asked. "Yeah, I'm fi..." then everything went black.

So that's a heck of a lot of shit that happened. Welp, if you have any questions, let me know! See ya!
