Chapter 12
I'm really sorry guys for not posting. I had a really, really rough week. Thursday and Friday were the hardest because I went to a funeral, so I just needed some time to get a grip on things. Thanks for your patience, and enjoy!
"Where the hell did he go?" Oompa asked. Oof shrugged his shoulders. They were in the woods, looking for TBVG. "This is weird." Oof mumbled. They continued walking around the forest. Oof left a trail of snow to make sure they didn't get lost. "TBVG!" Oompa called out. Nothing came back. He sighed. Suddenly, they heard a low growl from behind them. "Don't. Move." Oof whispered. They stood still as statues, and from behind them, a strange, green beast moved in front of them, it eyes an amber color. "What. The. Hell?" Oompa whispered. The beast stared hard at them. Its skin was scales, and they seemed to shimmer. It walked on four legs, and had large claws. It never took its gaze off of them. Suddenly, it hissed and lept onto them. Oompa and Oof ran off in different directions, the beast letting out a growl. It turned to Oompa, and ran after him. Oompa ran as fast as his feet could carry him, but then the beast pounced on him. He screamed as the beast stared at him. Then the beast scratched his chest, and he felt blood spill from it. Oompa's vision began to fade, but he saw what looked like a sword cut the beast head off. "OOMPA!" he heard Oof scream. He closed his eyes, and everything went black.
...
"Ugh." Oompa groaned. His chest was on fire, and he felt nauseous. He opened his eyes, and was in a dimly lit room. He sat up slowly, groaning. Oof walked into the room, and gasped. "Oompa, are you okay?" He ran over to him, and gave him a hug. Oompa winced as his chest filled with pain, but was happy to see Oof. "What happened?" Oompa asked. "Well, when that beast leapt onto you, it left a really bad claw wound there. Then out of nowhere, this person just came, and sliced that things head off. I don't know who there are. But they are really good with swords." Oof said. Oompa held his chest, the pain intense. His chest was wrapped up in bandages, but some of the blood was soaking through a tiny bit. "The person said that its claws were poisoned. You got lucky." Oof said. Oompa lay back down, sighing. "Are you two okay?" Oompa and Oof turned, and saw someone in what looked like a tight suit. It was black, and two katanas were on their back. "Yeah, I guess." Oompa said. They pulled a satchel from their back, and pulled out a plant of some sort. It was a jade color "This will help with the poison." they said. "Who are you?" Oof asked. The person got quiet. "Well, it's been a while, but I did miss you guys." They pulled their mask off, revealing familiar rainbow pastel hair. "ALLY?!" Oof and Oompa yelped. Ally smiled. "Hey guys!" Oof got up and gave her a hug. "Where have you been?" Oof asked. "I've been here all this time. Something stabbed me, and next thing I know, I can take a sword and be a killer machine with it." Ally said. Oompa suddenly gasped in pain. "The poison is getting stronger." Ally said. She took the herb, and began to crush it up. "Oof, can you get some water from in there?" Ally ordered. Oof ran into the other room, and came back with a bucket of water. She took a tiny bit of water, and stirred it in with the crushed-up herb. It hissed a little, then the mixture became a jade color. "That's a weird color." Oof said. "There's too much herb in it, it needs to be forest green." Ally said, adding more water. After a few minutes, the mixture was a dark forest green. "Perfect." Ally said. It was almost paste like, and some chunks of the herb floated at the top. "Do I have to drink that?" Oompa asked. "No, you put it on the wounds." Ally said. She carefully took the bandages off, and a horrible sight greeted them. The wounds were deep, but not deep enough to affect his organs. A strange, dark green liquid filled the wounds, and his veins were green around the wounds. "How are you alive?" Ally whispered. Oompa took a shaky breath, processing everything. "This may sting a little." Ally said. A little was an understatement. It was as if she had put a torch to his wounds. It took all of his energy not to scream. But the paste had worked. The veins that were green were starting to retreat, and the strange green liquid was disappearing. "A little?" Oompa whispered. Ally chuckled dryly. "Sorry." The wounds still stung a lot, but at least it wasn't the burning feeling. "Just rest now. Your body will still be recovering from the poison." Ally said. Oompa nodded, and shut his eyes. Ally left the room, and Oof followed her. "Where are we exactly?" Oof asked. "We're in a little cave. Didn't have a lot of spots to stay, so I didn't get picky." Ally said. Oof nodded. Ally sighed, and sat down at a little table. "I definitely got lonely. I missed you guys. When I left the SMP, something in my gut told me to go back, but I didn't want to. I was afraid something bad would happen if I did. Finally, I went back, to find the place changed, but abandoned. Then something stabbed me. Next thing I know, I'm here. Those beast things, one of them came after me. Grabbed my sword, and killed that thing in two seconds. I was stunned, but didn't think about it. It helped me survive." Ally said. Oof got quiet. "Well, it's been a year. What's gone on with the group?" Ally asked. Oof didn't know what to say. "Umm...a lot has happened since you left. And I mean, A LOT." Oof said. Ally got a tiny bit concerned. Oof told everything, starting with the wedding day. He told about the war, Chaos influencing Laff and Jooice, getting the power hosts, meeting Natalie and Zack, and their friends from other worlds. How Chaos came back, Nadwe dying, L4FF, Chaos making Socks a glitch, Socks going rogue, and every single little detail. When he finished, Ally had tears in her eyes. "Would things be different if I were there?" Ally whispered. "Hey, it's not your fault. It's Chaos fault." Oof said. Ally wiped her tears away. It had taken almost an hour to explain everything. "It's nighttime. You should get some rest." Ally said. "You should. You got bags under your eyes." Oof remarked. Ally chuckled. "I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately." "Go get some rest." Oof said. Ally nodded, then went into another room. Oof went to what looked like the entrance and went outside. The cool air filled his lungs, and he shivered. He sat in a little corner and held his arms close to keep warm. The entrance lead to a small opening, high in the mountains. No wonder why it was cold. He stayed awake all night, making sure nothing would hurt his friends.
...
Oompa woke up the next morning, feeling sore but much better. He sat up, the pain in his chest not bad. "Morning!" Ally said. "Jeezm, I think you also got the ability to be quiet." Oompa sighed. Ally appeared out of nowhere, scaring him. "Sorry." Ally giggled. She came into the room, and sat on the edge of the bed. "How you feeling?" Ally asked. "Much better. Whatever that herb was, it's doing its job." Oompa said. Ally smiled. "Yeah, you don't mess with those things. But what were you guys doing in the forest anyway?" Ally asked. Oompa had forgotten about TBVG. "We were looking for TBVG. He ran off somewhere the other night, but he didn't come back. We started to worry, so we went to look for him." Oompa explained. Ally got worried. "Why did he run off?" Ally asked. "Well, ever since Socks became a glitch, he's been dealing with stress and anxiety. And his power host has been wacking up. That night, his power host threw me against the wall, and he didn't handle it well. That's why he ran off. He was just so scared and stressed." Ally squeezed his shoulder, softly smiling. "We'll find him. Once you're better though." Oompa groaned. "Seriously? How much longer am I going to be here?" "When you can dodge my swords." Ally said. Suddenly, she pulled her katana out, and went straight for his head. Then, something stopped it. She pushed with all her might, but it wouldn't budge. She then realized his eyes were a silver color. "I can bend the sword if I wanted to." Oompa said, smiling. "What?" Ally asked. "I can bend metal to my will. Power host to thank." Oompa said. He stopped, and Ally moved her sword away. "I can stop the sword before even needing to dodge." Oompa said. "I'll admit, that's pretty neat. But I'm making you stay in bed for now." Oompa sighed. Ally giggled. "I'll get you some breakfast. You guys are probably hungry." Ally left, and went to find Oof. She went outside of the little house, but Oof wasn't there. "Oof?" she called out. Suddenly, something hard hit her head, and all light disappeared.
...
"Ow." Ally groaned. Her head was on fire, and something wet went down her forehead. Blood. Whatever hit her head, hit her hard. "Wakey, wakey!" she heard someone say. She opened her eyes, and found someone facing her upside down. "Like being upside down?" the person said. He was a young man, and had a few scars. "Got a bandaid?" Ally joked. The man laughed. "Oh, you are funny! But, at least you lead me to two more friends." Ally had no idea what was going on. "Who are you?" "I'm Seth." the man said. Seth, the man who ruined her friends lives. Oof talked about him. "And you know my friends?" Ally asked, pretending to not know who he was. "...Yes! I do! We're friends!" Seth said. "Then why am I upside down?" Ally asked. "Ah, well, you started to attack me, I had no choice but to knock you out. I may have hit too hard, hence the memory loss, and a bit of blood." Ally huffed. "Then let me down?" Seth hesitated before untying her. She grunted when her head hit the hard ground. "Sorry about that." Seth said, not sounding sorry at all. Suddenly, she stuck her leg out, making him trip. She took his arms, and held them behind his back. "Give it up Seth, I know what you did!" Ally yelled. Seth struggled to get out, but with no success. She punched him hard in the head, and knocked him out. "That's for knocking me out." Ally said. She reached into his pockets to find anything, and found a strange neon purple ball. "Huh?" she whispered. She pressed the button on the top, and felt a tugging sensation. She yelped, and found herself in a small, cozy living room. "What?" she whispered. She stood up, and reached into her boot, pulling out a dagger. Her katanas were gone, probably from Seth, but she could be deadly with a dagger. She quietly moved around, looking for any sign of life. She opened a door, and held back a scream. TBVG's body was on the table there. His eyes empty, and a horrifying wound in his chest. She started to hyperventilate, fear pumping through her. She held tight to the door, grasping the situation. Who killed TBVG? Was it Seth? Where was she? She then heard someone coming downstaris. She quickly and quietly shut the door, and put her mask on, hiding her hair. She hid in the shadows, waiting for whoever came. The person came into the room, but it was not who she was expecting. It was Laff. She gasped, and Laff turned to the shadows. "Who's there?" Laff asked. Ally cursed in her head, repressing a sigh. Laff came closer, but saw nothing. Ally gave up, and came out of her hiding place. Laff stepped back, conjuring two green disc. "Who are you?" Laff demanded. Ally sighed, and pulled her mask off. Laff was shocked. "Ally?" Laff asked. "It's me." Ally said meekly. Laff stood there for a second. His discs disappeared, and he gave Ally a big hug. Ally hugged him back, so glad to see another friend. "Where the hell have you been?" Laff asked, looking at her straight in the eye. "Okay, first, WHY THE HELL IS TBVG'S BODY HERE?!?!?!" Ally said. "A guy named Seth killed him." Laff said. "SETH!?" Ally said. Laff shushed her. "You REALLY need to chill." Ally took a deep breath. She got angry much easier for some reason. She felt her rage fade, and her muscles relaxed. "I'm fine. Sorry." Ally said. "You're good. Besides, I don't blame you for..." Laff suddenly got quiet. "How do you know Seth?" "He knocked me out, and that's how I got this head wound." Ally said, and showed him the deep gash on her forehead, which was hidden behind her hair. Laff winced when he saw it. "C'mon, we're going to clean it up." He grabbed a first aid kit, and began to clean the wound. Ally sighed. "I need to go back, he must've done something to Oof and Oompa." "Wait, Oof and Oompa?" Laff asked. "Yeah...they were looking for TBVG, but now..." Ally said. "Yeah. Killed him in his sleep. It was just sickening." Laff said. "Also, Oof told me everything." Ally said. Laff sighed. "We're going to take him to Dream. He should be able to bring him back." Laff said. Ally nodded. "We've missed you Ally." Laff said. "I've missed you guys too." Ally said. "ALLY?!" They turned, and saw Meme standing in the doorway. "Meme!" Ally said happily. "How are you here?" Meme asked, giving her a hug. "Long story." Ally said. "Okay, first, do you have a power host?" Laff asked. Ally had to pause to remember what a power host was. "Hand me a sword." Ally said. Laff and Meme looked at each other. Laff shrugged, and made a green sword. "Whoa." Ally said, taking it. "Cool, right?" Laff said. Suddenly, she swung her sword at Meme, who barely dodged it. "Whoa!" Laff yelped. She continued to attack Meme, who could barely keep dodging. She finally stopped, smirking. "What was that?!" Meme gasped. "I'm a master at swords." Ally said. "That...was intense." Laff said. Ally laughed. "I'm never giving you a sword again." Laff said, making the sword disappear. "Seth stole my katanas, and I liked those." Ally said. "Seth?" Meme asked, rage filling him. His eyes changed color to a dark red. "Whoa. Meme, your eyes, just changed color." Ally said. Meme took a deep breath. "Vampire side." Ally remember Oof had said that Nadwe accidentally bit Meme, making him half-vampire. "Where's everyone else?" Ally asked. "They're back with the Tueres. Natalie's people. They've been there since Socks almost broke time." Laff said. Ally nodded. "Did you see white cracks on yourself?" Meme asked. "No, never." Ally said, confused. "Remember, she left a week before you announced the wedding day. Then it was another week, and Socks went straight to the wedding day, so she wasn't affected by it." Laff explained. Meme nodded. "Yeah, he's been through a lot. He's here actually, but he's resting. I'm surprised he had enough energy to even stand." Laff suddenly glitched, wincing. "Laff?" Ally asked, worried. "Don't worry, I'm fine." Laff said. "Laff, Oof doesn't know about this, so he didn't tell her." Meme sighed. Laff groaned. "Laff, what's going on?" Ally asked. "I may have done something stupid and made myself a glitch. I already got yelled at by Natalie." Laff said. Socks was a glitch, now Laff was a glitch?! Ally rubbed her face. "This is a lot to process. We'll answer your questions later. You need to rest." Meme said. "Yeah, I know. But we need to find Oof and Oompa. They could be with Seth!" Ally said. Laff looked at Meme. "She's right. We can't let Seth hurt them. Or worse." Meme nodded. "I'll go with you." Ally smiled softly. "Thanks." she pulled the purple neon ball out of her pocket. "Wait, where did you get that?" Laff asked. "I found it in Seth's pocket." Ally said. "That's how he probably got out." Meme said. "But how did he get his hands on it?" Laff wondered. "Maybe we'll be lucky and he'll spill the beans." Ally said. Ally tapped the button, and she and Meme went back to the little cave. Seth was nowhere to be seen. "Where is he?" Ally whispered. "Great, now he's running loose. Not your fault." Meme said. They walked around, then came to the little house Ally had made. "Come on." Ally said. They carefully went through the front door, and went to where Oompa's room was. "Don't move a muscle or your friend is dead." Seth said, appearing from the shadows. Oompa was pale as a ghost, breathing heavily. A knife was held right up to his throat. Oof was tied up in a chair, staring daggers at Seth. "Seth, let. Them. Go." Meme said. Seth let out a laugh. "Do you really think that I'll do that? I mean, I already killed TBVG, so." Oompa and Oof both went silent like stone. TBVG was dead? Oompa felt rage fill him, tears pricking his eyes. "Why did you kill him?" Oompa whispered. "Why not? Besides, it was quick. He was asleep." Oompa then lost it. His eyes glowed, and the knife flung itself right into Seth's shoulder. He yelled in alarm, and was kicked in the chest by Ally. Meme freed Oof, and Oof froze Seth in a block of ice. "You'll pay for killing him." Oompa said dangerously. Seth chuckled. "I won't be the one to pay for it, my friend." Oompa stared hard at him, then turned away. His chest was still not healed, and was screaming in pain. He held it tight, and went out of the room. He went out of the little house, and went to the entrance of the cave. The sky was starting to light up in the rays of the sunrise. Oompa let out a shaky breath, the tears falling down his face. His best friend, was gone. TBVG and Oompa had been friends for a long time. "Oompa." He turned and saw Meme. "Is it true?" Oompa asked. Meme didn't say anything, then nodded. Oompa held his arms close to his chest, even though it was in pain. "Why? Why did he kill him?" Oompa whispered. "Listen, we can bring him back to life. Dream brought Tommy and Wilbur back, he can bring TBVG back." Meme explained. Oompa looked at Meme. Meme could see desperation in his eyes. "You know what...I have an idea." Meme said. Oompa gave him a confused look. "Hold on." Meme said. Meme ran inside for a few seconds, then ran back out. "Okay, hold on." He pulled out the purple neon ball, and pressed it. He held tight to Oompa's shoulder, and a few seconds later, they were in the small house. "Why are we here?" Oompa asked. "Trust me." Meme said. "Oompa?" They turned and saw Socks, looking quite tired. "Hey Socks." Oompa said, happiness filling him a little. "Where's TBVG?" Meme asked. Socks was confused for a second, then realized what he meant. "He's hanging around the couch." Oompa turned to the couch, but saw no one. Socks could see TBVG looking confused. "What is he talking about?" Socks shrugged. TBVG looked at Meme, and realized what he wanted him to do. "He wants me to possess him so I can talk to Oompa." Socks looked at Meme. Before anyone could say anything, TBVG went straight into Meme. Meme stumbled back, and faded into black. "Meme?" Oompa asked. Socks ran over to Meme, and held him steady. Meme groaned, and opened his eyes. His eyes were purple now. "Meme?" Oompa asked. "Uh, not exactly." Socks said. Oompa had to process that for a second. "Wait...no way." Oompa said. Meme smiled. "Yeah, it's me. TBVG." Oompa took a sharp breath. "Wait, how? What?" "Um, I may have possessed Meme, but he did ask for it." Meme/TBVG said. Oompa just stood there, shocked. Then he ran and gave him a hug. Meme/TBVG hugged him back. "I'm so sorry." Meme/TBVG said. "Wasn't your fault you died." Oompa said, tears falling down his face. Socks squeezed Oompa's shoulder. "I've missed you guys." Oompa pulled away, and wiped his tears away. "Listen, as soon as we get Seth back, and locked up nice and tight, we'll go see Dream. Kay?" Socks said. Oompa nodded. "Help us." "Please" "We need help." Socks looked around, fear filling him. "Socks?" Meme/TBVG asked. Socks looked back at them, and rubbed his neck. "I don't know. I just...got a weird feeling suddenly." Socks lied. Guilt filled him when he lied, but he shoved it deep in his mind. "C'mon, we need to get back." Oompa said. "I would come with you, but I can't waste anymore time." Socks sighed. Oompa gave him a hug. "We'll help you as soon as all of the Chaos stuff is over." Oompa promised. Socks nodded. Meme/TBVG pulled the little neon purple ball out of his pocket. "I'd better leave. I don't want Meme getting mad at me." Meme/TBVG said. He suddenly stumbled, and Oompa held him steady. "Yeah, I totally asked for that." Meme groaned. Oompa snickered. "Yeah, you did." He promised Socks he would try to come visit more often, and then they disappeared. "You guys back already?" Ally asked, sharpening one of her katanas. They were all outside the entrance of the cave, Seth looking quite irritated. "I had to freeze his mouth because he kept talking and talking and talking." Oof sighed. Meme gave him a concerned look. "I didn't do anything that would kill him, I just made his lips stuck together!" Oof said. Oompa suddenly yelled in pain, clutching his chest. Meme held him steady as his knees buckled. "Dude, what's wrong?!" Meme asked. Ally ran over, fear filling her. "He got attacked by one of the beasts in the woods, its claws are poisonous. I thought I put the paste on to stop it." Ally said. "You did, I saw you, and the poison was going away!" Oof said. But something had gone wrong. The green poison seemed to cover his wounds, and his veins were green, all over his chest, and spreading faster. Ally ran back into the house to grab the herb, while Oof and Meme held Oompa down, who struggled to get up. "Dude, breathe." Meme said. Oompa had never felt pain like this before. It seemed to burn right through him, leaving holes, even though that was not the case. His face was strained, and tears streamed down the corners of his eyes. A minute later, Ally came rushing back, and quickly added the paste. Oompa screamed in pain as it increased ten-fold. Oof couldn't bear to see his friend like this. "Come on Oompa, come on!" he said. Oompa was breathing heavily, and sweat dripped down his face. All the wounds were covered, and to their relief, the poison slipped back slowly. Ally sighed with relief. Oompa was taking deep breaths, his face no longer strained. Meme grabbed some bandaids, and with Oof's help, wrapped them around his chest. Oompa lay on the ground, color coming back to his face. "Listen, he needs to go to the Tueres. They know the beasts in the woods better than I do." Ally said. Meme nodded. "We also need to take him back." Oof said, gesturing to Seth. Seth rolled his eyes. Meme and Oof helped Oompa up, who winced when he got up. "What's the fastest way there?" Oof asked. "We could go through the little house, but I don't want to freak everyone out, then leave suddenly." Meme said. "There's a path I know, it leads to the building. That's actually how I found them." Ally said. "How long is it?" Meme asked. "About five miles." Ally said. "You may have to stop for breaks." Oof said, looking at Oompa. "Yeah, but it's through the woods. Right where those beasts are." Ally said. Everyone got quiet. "Well, we could just feed Seth to them." Oof said. Seth stared daggers at Oof, but didn't do anything else. "No, he has answers, but if he didn't, I'd be on board with that." Meme said. "Guys." Ally said, and the two of them stopped. "Listen, all I know is that those beasts are deadly. Head of snake, so it has fangs. Body of a lion, so super fast, and with the claws...you know what happens, and the tail of a jaguar. No idea why, but it does, and it's covered with scales. Only scales. They can come in green, brown, black, and sometimes gray." Everyone stared at her, even Seth. "What? I spent a lot of time looking at them. That's when I learned the hard way about their claws." Ally said, rubbing her arms. "What?" Oompa asked. Ally sighed, and pulled her right leg pants up. Faded scars of claw marks were there. "You got scratched too?" Oof asked. "Yeah. It wasn't as bad as Oompa's, but still. It hurts like hell." Ally said, hiding the scars again. Oompa thought about everything that had happened. Him being attacked, finding Ally, Seth threatening to kill him, TBVG's death... "We go through the woods. It's our best shot." Oompa said. Oof opened his mouth to argue, but remembered the pain that Oompa was in. "Okay. Through the woods." Oof said.
