Chapter 10
Hola everyone! Hope you guys are doing great! I...came up with more S41 stories...I'm never going to finish all of them until ima 20. Welp, enjoy! Also, there are moments when they are talking telepathically.
Erik stared at a crystal, looking at its beauty. Bebe had done a wonderful job. He sighed, thinking of his life before he died. Arianna, his wife, and Smith, his son. Arianna and him had been married for almost ten years, Smith was five, when she died. The assasinator was a Chaos worshiper, and he had him killed. Smith had missed his mother dearly, and Erik had done his best to be a father, but his duties often tore him away from his son. Then, when Chaos attacked, he did everything in his power to make sure Smith was fine. But Chaos had won. He had taken everything he had ever loved away from them. He looked at the crystals. Such beauty they held. "Dad?" A voice said. A voice he thought he would never hear again. He turned, and saw a young man, glitching a little. He felt his spirit lift. "Smith?" he whispered. Smith nodded. Erik gasped, then ran over to him, and Smith ran to him. They collided, and hugged for the first time in over ten years. "Oh, Smith." Erik whispered. "Dad, what happened? Is it true that you killed yourself?" Smith whispered. Erik sighed. "I wanted to see you. You're the spitting image of your mother. Both of you meant the world to me. I couldn't handle it. I'm...I'm sorry." Smith sighed. "At least we got to see each other, right?" Erik looked at his son. "How is Socks?" "He's fine. But...um...he kinda had a mental breakdown and tried to erase himself, then Laff did something very, very stupid." "What happened?" Erik asked concerned. "Um...this just happened like, a half-hour ago, but Laff made himself a glitch." Smith said. Erik stared at him. "What?" "Yeah, Laff's a glitch now." Smith said. Erik rubbed his face. "This is not good." "Yeah. I mean, he's handling it pretty well, but he's definitely not comfortable with it." Smith said. "I wish I could go with you, but my spirit is bound to this shrine." Erik said, gesturing to the shrine. "That's the thing. When you go into our little house, it's still like you're in the spot where you left. As long as you're here, you can come with me." Smith said. Erik gasped softly. "You know what? Let's go." Erik said. Smith smiled. Erik put a hand on his son's shoulder, and they glitched away. Erik blinked, and found himself in a small little house. "Erik?" He turned and saw Socks. "How are you here?" he asked. "Smith has his ways." Erik said, looking at his son with pride. Laff had fallen asleep on the couch, glitching once in a while. "Laff sacrificed so much with that potion." Smith said. Socks looked down, guilt filling him. Erik noticed this, and sighed. "We'll get through this, my friend. Just give it time." Socks nodded, but still was quiet. Laff suddenly woke up, probably from all the noise. "What the?" he had just seen Erik, and was confused as to who he was. "I'm sorry for the fright. I'm Erik." Erik said. "Oh, h.hi." Laff said. He still had a bit of trouble with his glitch. He rubbed his eyes, sighing. "Is it just m.me or are you more tired wh.en you're a glitch?" Laff asked. "Actually, I'd have to agree with you." Socks said, sitting on the other couch. "It's because the glitch uses a lot of our energy, but nothing can really stop it, so we just nap a lot." Smith said. Laff looked on the side table, and saw that his gas mask was gone. "Where's my gas mask?" Laff asked. Socks tried to hide his smile, but a chuckle escaped his mouth. "Socks, where is it?" Laff asked. Socks sat there for a moment, then ran off the couch. "HEY! Get back here!" Laff yelled, running after him. Smith burst into laughter, and Erik chuckled. Socks ran and hid behind a secret door he had made, and looked out a little hole. "Socks, I swear to God, when I get my hands on you, it's going to hurt!" Laff said. Socks smiled. This was going to be good. Laff looked around, confused. Socks didn't just glitch away, right? Suddenly, he turned, and Socks jumpscared him. "AHH!" Laff yelled, and Socks pinned him down. "What the hell?!" Laff yelled, but Socks was dying of laughter. "That..was...amazing!" Socks laughed, holding his stomach. Laff was angry, but soon he started to laugh too. "Here." Socks said, and handed him his gas mask. Laff happily took it, and put it on. "You two okay?" Smith asked, walking into the room. "Yeah, although he did a FNAF jumpscare." Laff said. "I'm sorry, FNAF?" Smith asked. Laff was confused, then remembered that Smith was from a different world. "Oh, it's a horror game." Laff said. Next thing he knew, he was explaining FNAF to Smith. "So the lore behind it is that the kids' corpses are in the suit's themselves?" Smith asked. "Yep." Laff said. "That's messed up." Smith said. "I mean, the game is fun, but it definitely gets your guard up." Laff said. Socks had fallen asleep on the couch again. "So...what's it like now? Being a glitch?" Smith asked. Laff took a moment to think about it. "To be honest, it's been easy. Just tired. But...Socks has it harder. He's dealing with the rogue. The sooner we find the crystal, the better." Laff said. "What crystal?" Erik asked. "Oh yeah, we didn't tell you. Bebe made a crystal in your mine that could fix glitches." Laff said. Silence hung in the air. "What? I thought she could only make crystals, not give them power!" Erik said. "Wait, Bebe had a power host?" Smith asked. "She didn't have one, she had two. One to make those crystals, and one for the power to speak to the dead. She got the second one after I died." Erik said. Smith was baffled by this. "A lot can happen in ten years mate." Laff said. Smith rubbed his face. "I forgot about that. In here, time doesn't work the right way. We grow to a certain age, and then we stop. Pretty much all of us are in our twenties." Smith said. "So how old are you right now?" Erik asked. "Chaos got me when I was fifteen. Right now, here I'm twenty-five, but I should be twenty-six. I'm just a year younger." Smith said. "Huh." Laff said. He was about twenty-four. Would he stop aging later on? Or was he already stuck at this age? "Don't worry, you have to be here a while for it to start affecting you." Smith said, seeing the concern on Laff. Laff quietly sighed with relief. Socks suddenly woke up, groaning. "You good?" Laff asked. "No, my whole body hurts." Socks said, wincing. "Try stretching, maybe you're just cramped up." Smith said. "Um, can't cause I can't move now." Socks said. Laff whirled around, and saw that Socks was stuck in an uncomfortable posture. Laff suddenly felt like he was having a hard time breathing. He took his gas mask off, taking a deep breath. "Socks, can you try and take control?" Smith asked. "Um......nope. Nothing." Socks said. He felt fear bloom inside him. He blinked, and his eyes went black. Erik felt worry fill him. "The rogue is trying to gain more control." Socks suddenly felt that same feeling, that he needed to change time. He closed his eyes, trying to ignore the feeling. He thought about what had happened over the year. He felt a warm feeling filled him when he thought about his friends. They had been through so much together. Suddenly, he felt his muscles relax, and he had control over his body again. He blinked, and his eyes changed back. "You good mate?" Laff asked, glitching a little. "Yeah, I'm good." Socks said, sitting up. Laff sighed. Suddenly, he glitched quite a lot, and he winced. "You weren't kidding about it hurting." Laff said. "Why does it hurt?" Socks asked. Smith sighed. "Basically, the matter that makes us up gets split apart, then gets attached again. Over and over. It doesn't like being split apart." Laff and Socks looked at each other. "That's messed up." Socks said. "It is. But when they were trying to send people back, that's how they did it. Our bodies are too big to travel through time, they'd dissolve. So we had to make it so that their body could be smaller, yet travel through time. So that's why we become glitches. We're in our assigned time, but when the potion hits us, our body gets confused, and just...glitches." Smith said. Socks and Laff had gotten quiet. Socks glitched, and he winced. Suddenly, Natalie came out of nowhere. "Natalie?!" Socks yelped. "Socks!" Natalie, and ran over to him and hugged him. Socks was shocked by Natalie's actions, but hugged her back, gladness filling him. "Are you okay? What happened? Is everything okay?" Natalie asked, looking at Socks. "We're fine Natalie." Socks said. Natalie sighed. "I should've been here earlier. I'm sorry." Natalie said, looking down. "Hey, it's okay. We all were busy." Socks said. Natalie smiled a little, then turned to Laff. "Hey Laff!" "Hey Natalie!" Laff said, waving. His hand glitched, and he felt himself die inside. "Fuck." Laff thought. Natalie stared at him. After Socks explained what happened, Natalie started yelling at Laff for a full minute. After she was done, Laff was silent, dead inside. "Remind me not to piss you off." Socks said. Natalie sighed, then gave Laff a hug. "I'm glad that you're okay though." she said. Laff sighed. "But don't think you're off the hook yet!" Natalie said. Laff nodded, not wanting to piss her off anymore. "Alrighty, and who is he?" Natalie asked, looking at Erik. "This is Erik, my Dad. He died about ten years ago. He was one of the leaders of our community." Smith said. "Chris and Michelle's child." Erik said. Natalie felt her heart drop. "You...you knew my parents?" Natalie whispered. "My dear, they were amazing! You're lucky to be their child! We all wanted them to be leaders together. But when we heard rumors about Chaos in one of the worlds, they stood up to do it. I never thought that they would die." Erik said. Natalie wiped a tear from her eye. She had never heard so much about her parents. "I miss them." she whispered. "When we heard the news, all of us were heartbroken. But we saw you grow, and sure whether to send someone to take care of you. So I'm deeply sorry if we made it feel like we abandoned you." Erik said. "No, I actually learned from it. I became my own leader." Natalie said. Laff glitched suddenly, wincing. "You good?" Natalie asked. "Yeah, it's just painful to glitch." Laff said. He glitched again, and sighed. "I asked for it." Socks rubbed his hands nervously. It had become a bad habit for him. Laff had figured out it was a nervous habit, but didn't tell him. "We'll fix both of you as soon as possible." Natalie promised. Socks sighed. What if it was too late? His head suddenly began to throb. He rubbed his temples, hiding the groan inside him. He stood up, going to get a drink, when he stumbled. "Socks?" Laff asked. Socks leaned against the wall for support. Why was this so sudden? Suddenly, he glitched, and was in his rogue form. Laff and Smith quickly got up, their guard up. Socks grinned evilly, his eyes empty. The black tear-like marks were there, but they were square, like pixels. His skin was a dark purple. "Socks?" Natalie asked. Socks turned to her, his head on his shoulder, like he was insane. He stood there for a second, doing nothing. Suddenly, he leapt onto her, pinning her down. Laff and Smith grabbed him, and pulled him off of her, and held him against the wall. He struggled to get out, but Laff and Smith held tight. "Socks, snap out of it!" Laff yelled. Socks looked at him, panting. "You need...to chill." Laff said. Socks stopped struggling, still looking at Laff. "There. It's all right." Laff said. Laff and Smith let go, but that was a mistake. Socks grabbed Laff by the throat, and glitched away with him. "Laff!" Smith yelled. Laff and Socks appeared in a forest, and Socks held him against a tree. "Do.Do yo.u reAlly th.think.nk th.that I wouldn't c.c...ome back for REve.nge?" Socks asked, choking Laff. Laff couldn't breath, and his face was turning purple. Socks chuckled. Suddenly, he felt someone put their hand on his shoulder. He turned, but was thrown back. He glitched, and was back to himself. Laff had fallen to the ground, gasping for air. "Oh man." Socks groaned. "Are you two okay?" a familiar voice said. Socks looked up, and saw L4FF next to him. "L4FF, you okay!" Socks said, grabbing him in a hug. L4FF smiled. "What happened?" Socks asked. He suddenly noticed that L4FF was no longer the light gray metal skin as before. Now it was dark, and some parts were almost black. "Um...side effects from Chaos being in me." L4FF said. Socks had forgotten about that. "Don't worry about it now, but let's look at Laff." L4FF said, heading over to Laff. Socks got up, heading over to Laff. Laff's breathing was raspy, and he seemed to be trying really hard to get a breath out. "This is the second time I did this." Socks whispered. "I guess we're both messed up." L4FF said. He helped Laff sit up, giving him a better breathing position. "What happened? They said that you disappeared." Socks asked. L4FF sighed. "Chaos managed to take control of me, and made me run off." Socks looked at a bandage that was wrapped around what he thought was the bite wound. "Why didn't you come back?" Socks asked. "Well, one reason was that I didn't know where the hell I was. Another reason...I didn't want anyone getting hurt. When Chaos takes over, he'll hurt you guys." L4FF said. Socks nodded. Those were good reasons. Laff was still in bad shape. Even when he was sitting up straight, his breath was still raspy. "Oh God, what did I do?" Socks whispered. "Not your fault mate." L4FF said. He looked at Laff, but saw no outside damage to his neck. "Must be something on the inside." L4FF said. A memory came back to him, when Laff had run away to the mountains out of fear. He ended up getting hypothermia, and ever since then seemed to have breathing problems. "Listen, let's go find shelter, and see if Laff gets better." L4FF said. Socks nodded, then the both of them helped carry Laff. They walked around for about fifteen minutes, when they found a small cave. They entered it, and leaned Laff against the wall. They started a small fire, and sat there. L4FF was looking at Laff, when he saw Laff's hand glitch. "Um, Socks?" L4FF asked. "Yeah?" Socks said. "Is it just me, or did his hand glitch?" L4FF asked. "Oh, yeah. About that." Socks said. He then talked about what happened. "He's a glitch now?" L4FF asked. "Yeah. I...kinda made him do it." Socks said, guilt filling him. "He's just worried about you." L4FF said. "I know." Socks said. L4FF could see that Socks was a bit sad. "Listen, it'll be okay." L4FF said. Socks nodded. "What?" Laff had woken up, then started to cough. Socks and L4FF went over to him. "I'm so sorry, I couldn't stop it." Socks whispered. "It's okay." Laff rasped, then coughed even more. "Don't talk. It'll only make it worse." L4FF said. Laff nodded, then gasped in pain. "Did I do something to his neck?" Socks asked. "Hold on. Let me do a quick scan." L4FF said. His vision went blue, and he scanned Laff's neck. Socks saw that L4FF's eyes went blue, and hoped for the best. He finished scanning, and his vision went back to normal. He pressed something on his arm, and an X-ray of Laff's neck showed up. "Um..." L4FF said. "What?" Socks asked. "He has slight neck damage. It's affecting his breathing." L4FF said. Socks placed his head in his hands. "What have I done?" he whispered. Laff just sat there, taking the news. L4FF was right about how he was having a hard time breathing. He seemed to be taking more breaths, and his breathing was raspy. "Listen, we'll find help." L4FF said. Socks still didn't say anything. L4FF knew he couldn't say anything to Socks now. Socks was lost in his mind. "Socks..." Laff whispered. Socks looked up, tears staining his face. "I'll be fine." Laff said, then started to cough. Socks looked down, guilt blooming inside him. "You both should get some rest. You guys have had a long day." L4FF said. Socks immediately went to sleep in a few seconds, but Laff was having more trouble. "Having trouble sleeping?" L4FF asked. "Yeah." Laff whispered. He closed his eyes, sighing. His neck felt like it was on fire. "Just close your eyes, and it will happen. You just drift into it." L4FF said. Laff chuckled, then coughed a bit. "You can say that.that again." Laff said, glitching a little. "Socks told me about this glitch thing." L4FF said. "Yeah, Natalie was pissed. She yelled at me for a minute straight." Laff said. L4FF chuckled. "You probably deserved it." "Yeah, I did." Laff sighed. He felt sleepiness fill him. L4FF could see Laff's eyes flutter. "Get some sleep. I'll watch." L4FF said. Laff's eyes shut, and he fell asleep. L4FF went to the entrance of the cave, looking at the night sky. He sighed.
Chaos: "You know, I'm surprised that you trust yourself enough to stay with them." L4FF hid the groan inside him.
L4FF: "What the hell do you want?"
Chaos: "I'm bored! You never talk to me!"
L4FF: "I have other people to talk to, and they are not trying to take over me."
Chaos: "God, you're still on that?"
L4FF: "I mean, you kinda are."
Chaos: "There is a difference between hanging out in your head and trying to take over them!" L4FF: "That's a fine line."
Chaos: "You're really annoying you know."
L4FF: "I'll take that as a complement, thanks." L4FF chuckled when he heard Chaos groan in his head.
Chaos: "Why did I have to get you as a host?
L4FF: "Because you maybe thought that because I'm a cyborg, I would be a useful weapon? I'm sorry to say, but all my weapons are gone."
Chaos: "IT WAS A RHETORICAL QUESTION!"
L4FF: "Whatever." L4FF made Chaos go quiet, and sighed. Chaos was annoying, but he hadn't done anything bad. Yet.
...
Socks opened his eyes, and the morning sun was just beginning to rise. He sat up, his body sore. He turned and saw Laff was asleep. He sighed, glitching. He lay back down, lost in his thoughts. Chaos: "Can you even fall asleep again on this floor? Sheesh." Socks felt shivers go down his spine.
L4FF:"Sorry mate. He put me to sleep somehow and now I can't wake up and stop him."
Chaos: "HOW ARE YOU IN HERE?"
L4FF: "Mate, you're in me! We're connected!"
Socks: "Can you both just shut up?"
Chaos: "Why?"
Socks: "Because your yelling makes my head hurt."
Chaos: "IS THIS BETTER?!?!" Socks held his head as it throbbed. The rogue wanted to take control badly now.
Socks: "Shut...up...please."
L4FF: "Please, Chaos."
Chaos: "....Fine."
Socks:"Thank you."
L4FF: "But how did you manage to talk to him?"
Chaos: "Laff did it when Dino was about to blame you! I can do it too!"
Socks: "Please stop arguing over something stupid. I really do not want to hurt Laff again."
Chaos: "Does it look like I care?"
L4FF: "Chaos. Just stop." "You guys never let me have any fun." Socks realized something. Chaos sounded more...human. Not the mindless monster he was. It was like he was a young man.
Socks: "Chaos...what was your past like?"
Chaos: "Um, me trying to kill the Tueres? Did you hit your head? Cause you should know that." "No, I mean before that. Like before you were known as Chaos." Chaos went silent. Socks thought that was a little weird.
Chaos: "It's none of your business."
Socks: "So you were someone else before."
Chaos: "Shut the fuck up!" Socks sighed, then he closed the conversation. Who was Chaos before he was known as Chaos? "Sorry about that mate." He looked up and saw L4FF entering the cave. "I just woke up. Chaos finally stopped." L4FF said. Socks nodded. "How's your head?" L4FF asked. "It's pounding." Socks said. L4FF sat down next to him. "How do you manage to live with him? He would drive me nuts." Socks said. "He's actually quiet most of the time. Though he did say he was bored because I wasn't talking to him." L4FF sighed. Socks laid back on the hard ground. Chaos was right about one thing. He couldn't fall asleep on the ground. He sighed, and glitched a little. Laff groaned, rubbing his neck. "God, how long was I asleep?" he asked. "For a while." Socks said. Laff suddenly started to cough, and L4FF went over to him. "How you feeling?" L4FF asked. "Sore like hell." Laff sighed. L4FF did another quick scan, then looked at the X-ray. "Well, good news is that it healed quite a lot overnight. You should be breathing better in the next few days." L4FF said. Laff sighed with relief. Socks sat up against the wall, feeling exhausted. "You good Socks?" Laff asked. "I'm just so tired. Even when I sleep, I feel like I gain no energy." Socks said. "You do look pale." L4FF admitted. Socks also didn't feel well, but he didn't want to worry them. "Listen, I'm going for a walk. Get some fresh air." Socks said getting up. Laff didn't think that was a good idea, but Socks had already gone outside. "He'll be fine. Socks can protect himself." L4FF said. Laff sighed. He suddenly glitched and he winced. "Man, I hate that." he winced. "Does it just happen?" L4FF asked. "Most of the time I'm not glitching, but it comes in longer, and more painful than usual." Laff said. L4FF nodded. "Just have to wait until we find that bloody crystal." Laff said. They sat in silence for a while. Suddenly, they heard a yell from the forest. "Socks." Laff whispered. L4FF quickly got up and ran out the cave. He ran, looking around for Socks. Suddenly, something wrapped around his ankle, and he swung upside down into the air. "What the hell?!" L4FF exclaimed. He hung upside down in the air, unsure what had happened. He turned and saw Laff had gotten up from the cave. "Don't...move." L4FF said. Laff stopped moving, unsure of what to do. He was pale, and he was holding his chest, trying to breathe.
Chaos: "Well, that went well."
L4FF: "Shut up please." L4FF looked at the rope, and it was a simple yet strong rope. He tried to reach up and untie it, but he couldn't reach it. He groaned. "Mate, did you see Socks?" Laff whispered. L4FF shook his head. "He probably got caught in the same trap too." L4FF said. "Hold on, this might hurt." Laff said. Before L4FF could do anything, Laff shot a green disc at the rope, and it cut through it like butter. L4FF fell down, and hit his head on the hard ground. He yelped in pain, and stars danced in his eyes. Laff ran over to him, and helped him sit up. "Sorry mate. Didn't have a lot of options." Laff said. "Nope. You're good." L4FF winced. He sat there for a little bit, recollecting himself. "We need to find Socks." Laff said. "And whoever placed these out here." L4FF said.
Chaos: "Um, yeah, about that."
L4FF: "You didn't."
Chaos: "Hey! I needed something to capture people while they were still alive!"
L4FF: "Chaos, I swear to God!!" L4FF groaned. "What?" Laff asked. "Found out that Chaos, when he took over me, set these up. It was all him." L4FF said. Laff sighed. "Should've thought of that."
Chaos: "Can we go back to the cave? I'm bored."
L4FF: "We're finding Socks first."
Chaos: "C'mon! He can just glitch out! He'll be fine!"
L4FF: "Okay, we're still going to find him." L4FF blocked Chaos, sighing. "I swear, he is going to be the death of me." L4FF said. "C'mon let's find Socks." Laff said. They had only gone about a yard when Laff was jerked into the air. "How many of these things did he place?!" Laff asked. L4FF climbed up into the tree, and carefully went onto the branch. "Be careful mate." Laff said nervously. L4FF grabbed the rope, and undid the knot. He slowly put Laff down on the ground, and sighed with relief. "Thanks mate." Laff said. L4FF climbed back down the tree, and helped Laff up. They continued on their way, but they both had sticks to make sure they didn't fall into any more traps. Suddenly, they heard someone struggling in the distance. They walked a few more yards, and then saw Socks hanging in the tree by his ankle. "Oh, hey guys." Socks said, chuckling nervously. "Don't worry, we both also got caught by the traps." Laff said. They both helped him down, and Socks leaned against the tree as the blood rushed back down from his head. "Chaos is the one to blame for all this." L4FF said. Socks nodded, feeling more sick than ever. Laff noticed this, and began to worry. "Socks, you're not looking great." Laff said. "I'm fine." Socks whispered. He leaned against the tree more, closing his eyes. L4FF and Laff looked at each other. "Socks...how many days do you have left?" L4FF asked. Socks thought about that for a second. "We've been here for about twelve hours, because we came here at sunset, so I think I have about three and a half days left." Socks said. "Mate, I think these are signs that you're running out of time." L4FF said. Socks felt shivers go down his spine, but then his world started to spin. He lost his balance for a second, and Laff held him steady. "We need to get you back to the house." Laff said. Socks nodded, sweat starting to drip down his face. Laff felt his forehead, then gasped. "Dude, you're roasting!" "Yeah, I'm not feeling well." Socks whispered. His legs felt shaky, and he felt hot and cold. "Hold on." Laff said. He glitched away, leaving Socks and L4FF by themselves. L4FF held Socks steady as Socks took deep breaths. Suddenly, L4FF felt a tugging in the back of his head.
L4FF: "Chaos, not now, please."
Chaos: "Don't care." L4FF disappeared deep in his mind. "L4FF?" Socks asked. L4FF opened his eyes, and they were a yellowish green. Socks gasped, and tore himself away from him.
L4FF: "I'm still here mate." Socks held his arm close to him, but he knew he stood no chance against Chaos. Chaos just stood there, looking at him. Socks suddenly saw a look of pain in his eyes. Like a longing for something. Then he blinked, and L4FF was back. Socks sighed with relief. "That was weird." L4FF said. "Yeah, he just..." Socks suddenly felt his consciousness slip a little. He slid down the trunk, sighing. L4FF grabbed him and held him steady. "Where are you Laff?" L4FF whispered. Socks was barely breathing, and he was paler than normal. Suddenly, Laff, Smith, Meme and Natalie appeared out of nowhere. "Oh thank God. Socks isn't doing well." L4FF said. Meme ran next to Socks, panic blooming inside him. "Socks, c'mon." Meme whispered. Socks's eyes fluttered open. "Meme?" Socks whispered. Meme smiled. "Yeah, it's me. You need to hang on." Meme said. Socks nodded, breathing a little bit better. Meme and Smith picked Socks up, and Socks was almost like a rag doll. He had no energy at all. "Listen, just relax." Smith said. Laff pulled out the purple neon ball, and everyone held onto it. He pressed it, and they went back to the house. Socks gasped as energy filled him. "Holy crap. That was weird." "You good?" Laff asked. "I just...I just had so much energy suddenly." Socks said. "Because you came back here." Erik said. Socks sat on the couch, sighing. "Socks, you only have about two days left." Erik said. Socks didn't say anything. If the rogue took over, he would lose precious time. "Laff still has about six or five days left. But you can't go see your friends for now. We can't risk it." Erik said. Socks still didn't say anything. He just zoned out, lost in his thoughts. Laff rubbed his neck, then winced, regretting it. Meme noticed this, and sighed. "C'mon Laff. Let's get you fixed up." They went into another room, leaving Natalie, L4FF, Smith, Erik, and Socks alone. Natalie sat next to Socks, not sure what to say. "Socks...we all are worried about you. Just...tell us anything. Anything that can help us help you." Natalie said. Socks didn't say anything, just stared into space. Natalie sighed. "Listen, I'll be around if you need me, just let me know." She grabbed a purple neon ball, and disappeared. Socks just sat there, lost in his mind. L4FF sighed. "I should get back." "No, you're staying here. Chaos hasn't killed anyone yet, so I mean." Smith said. L4FF wanted to argue, but knew it was probably best. Besides, he didn't want to be lonely again. "Um, did you forget about me? I'm still in your head!" L4FF held back the groan inside. Why was Chaos annoying now? "I'm going to head to bed." L4FF went upstairs, and was out like a light. Smith and Erik were sitting together on the other couch, and Socks was still lost in his mind. "Erik, what was Bebe like?" Socks suddenly asked quietly. Erik was surprised at this question, but softly smiled. "She was a person who no one could ever hate. She just had this...arua around her, that whenever you were near her, she just made you smile. When I needed someone to help when I was leader, she was my first option. At first, she was skeptical, but she agreed. And she was amazing. When I died, she used her power host of death to talk to me, and then we made the mine. She never told me her crystals had power." Erik said. Socks was smiling softly. "Bebe was so sweet." Socks said. Erik nodded. They sat in silence for a while. Suddenly, they heard something zing through the air, and Socks screamed in pain. He fell of the couch, holding his side. Meme and Laff ran back into the room, and saw Socks on the floor. "What the hell happened?!" Meme asked. He went to Socks side, and saw what looked like a sword wound. But where was the sword? "Is it Chaos?" Laff asked. "Mate, I'm right here." They turned and saw L4FF on the stairs. He had heard Socks scream, and had rushed downstairs. Meme turned back to Socks. "Breathe, I'm right here." Meme said. Socks face was strained, and he was breathing heavily. Meme grabbed his first-aid kit, and began to stitch the wound up. Smith and Erik were horrified at what had happened. "Did you see a sword?" Meme asked. "I don't know. We heard a zing, and the next thing you know, Socks is bleeding to death!" Smith said. Meme sighed, then cleaned up the area were the wound was. Socks eyes were closed, but his face was not as strained. Meme finished cleaning the wound, then sighed. "There. He'll be fine." Socks sighed. "Got any painkillers?" Socks whispered. Meme nodded, and dug throught his first-aid kit. He grabbed the contanier, and helped Socks sit up. "I don't want you to choke." Meme explained. Socks nodded. He gave Socks the pills and Socks took them gratefully. "What the hell stabbed me though?" Socks asked. "We don't know." Erik said. Socks felt worry fill him. He sighed, then suddenly, his head began to spin. He held his hand to his head, groaning. "Why does everything hurt?" Socks whispered. "You need rest. You're worn out, and I can tell cause you have bags under your eyes and you're as pale as a ghost!" Smith said. Socks closed his eyes, wanting the pain to go away. "Breathe." he heard someone say. He didn't recognize the voice, but it felt familiar. He opened his eyes, and yelped. In front of him was a woman, but she was see-through. "What?" Meme asked. "Do you guys not see her?" Socks asked. Meme looked at Socks confused. "Socks, are you hallucinating?" "What? No, there is a see-through woman right in front of me!" Socks said. Meme wasn't sure what to say. He didn't see anything, but Socks was insistent that there was something, or someone there. "Socks, I don't see anything. But if you see something, then you see something." Meme said. Socks was starting to panic. Was he hallucinating? "Relax." the woman said. She went behind Socks and squeezed his shoulder. Socks had no idea what was happening. "Breathe, Socks. Everything will be fine." the woman said softly. Socks suddenly felt a sense of safety. He felt himself relax, and took a deep breath. Meme still wasn't sure what was going on, when Erik suddenly gasped. "Of course! How could've I been so stupid!" "Okay, what is going on?!" Laff asked. "When was the last time you guys got hurt by something, but it wasn't there?" Erik asked. Meme thought this was a prank, but Laff started to think about it. "The last time it happened...wait." Laff said. Meme looked at Laff like he was starting to go crazy. "The power host!!!" Laff said. Erik smiled. Socks looked at Erik. "But I already..." Socks faltered. Erik was confused. "What is it?" "I already have a power host. Light. How can I have another?" Everyone was quiet. "Bebe had two." Smith said. Socks took a deep breath, trying to process the situation. "Relax Socks." the woman said. Socks closed his eyes, sighing. Meme squeezed his shoulder. "We'll figure it out, man." Socks nodded. The woman disappeared, just as she appeared. "What power host is it though?" Socks mumbled. "We'll figure it out later. You are getting rest." Smith said. Socks nodded, his eyes still closed. Smith went upstairs, and started to make a room for Socks. "C'mon." Meme said. Meme helped Socks up, letting him put his weight on him. They went up the stairs, and were at the door. "I suggest you make it for him." Smith told Meme. Soon, when they went inside, it was just like Socks's old room. Socks sighed as he lay on the bed. "Get some rest." Smith said. Meme and Smith left, closing the door gently behind them. They went back downstairs, Laff sitting on the couch now. L4FF sat next to him, sleep now far from him. "Is he good?" Laff asked. Meme nodded, then sighed. "Who was he seeing?" "I don't know. Whoever she was, she made Socks feel relaxed." Eric said. L4FF was lost in thought, when someone disturbed his thoughts.
Chaos: "God, that was boring."
L4FF: "Is everything boring to you?"
Chaos: "You never let me do anything fun!"
L4FF: "Define fun."
Chaos: "Really? You're playing that card?"
L4FF: "Just shut up."
Chaos: "MAKE ME!" L4FF winced when Chaos yelled. "Chaos driving you nuts?" Laff asked. "You can say that again." L4FF sighed.
Chaos: "I JUST WANT TO TALK, IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT?!?!"
L4FF: "I SWEAR TO GOD, SHUT UP!" L4FF held his head as it pounded.
Laff: "Chaos, shut up please!"
Chaos: "Why, you know what. I give up."
Laff: "You're making his head hurt!"
Chaos: "DOES IT LOOK LIKE I GIVE A DAMN!?!?!" L4FF's head was on fire now. "Meme, Chaos won't shut up." Laff said. Meme sighed. "I don't know what to do. He's in his head."
Chaos: "I'm another human being too! Why can't you guys..." Chaos suddenly stopped talking. L4FF realized what he said. "Guys...he just said that he was another human being too." L4FF whispered. "Really? Cause to me he is just someone who loves to kill." Meme scoffed. "I wasn't that way before." Meme and Laff turned, and saw L4FF's eyes were yellowish-green. "What do you mean?" Laff asked coldly. Chaos realized he had said that aloud, and cursed under his breath. "Listen, you're hiding something. We can tell." Smith said. Chaos knew that he was caught, and sighed. "Fine, you want the story, I'll tell you it. But let me warn you. It's going to change your view on things."
...That was a lot. I had a lot of fun though with the conversations between L4FF and Chaos XD. Anyhow, if you guys have any questions, let me know in my Q&A's book! See ya!
