Humans: Day-1

Chapter-2: Humans (Day 1)

Terror. Fear. Devastation. These all emotions shone, brighter than the sun that shone the day before, in all our faces. Unspoken promises and undeclared love. Apologies. All remained inside the heart, stuck in the throat of their owners. All around us, we could see ashes and half-burned bodies, of our loved ones... and our hated ones. The love that poured out of our eyes in streams and the hate that seemed so petty now. The beggars, the homeless. The rich, the poor. The humble, the proud. The Kings, the citizens. All of us were now humans, no other adjective defined us, neither did any other noun. We now stood equal, helping each other, like we were created to do.

No matter how bad the night, it was gone now. It had ended. Now, we could live in peace. Mending all that had broken, whether they be hearts or arts. Yes, the sun had been obstructed and the world had gone considerably colder. But, the bad had gone now, and we humans shall rise yet again, get on our feet, as we had done before, for the earth was going nowhere and we could surely find a way to warm ourselves up. After all, only the sun had been obstructed, not that the fire had burned out.
