.Chapter One.

Snowdonia flicked her tail, stalking quietly beneath the crates of the shadowy alleyway. Her pale yellow eyes glanced around carefully, the scent of old garbage and rats hung heavily in the air. She turned slightly, the scent of rat becoming stronger, as she crept in its direction. Her ear twitched as the sound of scuttling increased, and soon she saw the somewhat large creature nibbling on old garbage that had seemingly been lying there. She leaped quickly, grabbing the rats sides with her claws before catching her prey with a satisfying snap. As she stood, she scented another cat near her, and her eyes narrowed, searching for the stranger. They soon made themselves present, eyes glittering in the shadows.
"Who are you?" Snowdonia meowed in a harsh tone, her claws slightly unsheathed.
"My name's Hyena. And who are you?" The Tom asked.
"Why do you want to know?" She asked with hostility.
"Tsk, tsk, such hostility. I'm not gonna steal your prey, you caught it. Plus, I rarely see others in this alleyway, so I'm curious." He replied, his tone careful.
Snowdonia rolled her eyes, but replied "Well, my name is Snowdonia. And I usually hunt in these alleyways so, you must come at a different time than me."
"Apparently so. Well, it's good to meet you Snowdonia, and maybe I'll see you around." Hyena meowed, before leaving the alleyway. The white she-cat flicked her tail, before stalking out the other end, completely wary for any other strangers who could try and steal from her.

Silence loomed over her sleeping area as she padded towards it. Her white fur stuck up at all ends, after hearing some twoleg chatter too close to her home. Her eyes gleamed as she settled into her nest as she began smoothing her fur calmly, her ears attuned for any noise. At times she could hear the sound of a monster roaring by, and at other times there was complete silence. Her tail twitched, as the sound of the bustling city lulled her into dreams.

Snowdonia woke quickly, her fur standing on end. The sound of others cries had filled her sleep, terrifying her into an awoken panic. She looked around, her eyes bright with fear and quickly calmed when realizing everything was fine. She huffed softly, before hearing a soft rumble and the ground began to shake softly. For her, this was normal. She quietly settled once again and closed her eyes, unaware what would happen next.
