Arthur Gethist

Arthur was orphaned at an early age, and we all know how this song and dance goes, so let's not waste time discussing how he was abused. One day he was cursing everything in creation, from God to Satan, and everything in between. Soon his rage unlocked Silver, who then proceeded to very creatively train Arthur so that he would forget his hate. Arthur, of course, never realized this and by the time he had been returned to the horrible orphanage, he had very little hate left for that place, and so he left it alone, for a time anyways. They had, after all, broken Imperial laws against child abuse and ignorance of the law is no excuse. When the orphanage disappeared from the face of the Earth no one realized it. Now his training brings him to Kuoh.

Human Gears

Human Gears are pieces of the Emperors of humanity, usually only the first twelve, that are sent into the multiverse to guide future Emperors down a good path, a path that does not involve copious amounts of bloodshed. They were not created by God and are effectively unknown to the denizens of the DXD world, only spoken of in legend. The devils do, however, feel the power the twelve Human Gears emit, and are petrified by it.

Silver

Silver is the Emperor known as the God of Evil. His rise to power was one of blood and carnage. He killed millions with his blade, so many that his sword has an aura so evil that if someone looks at it for too long they go mad with rage and blood lust. He is probably the incarnation of a conflicting existence as he is likely the nicest and most warm of the Human Gears that Arthur has. He was the first to be activated, and continually strives to keep Arthur from following his path. He is the most fiercely defensive of the Imperial Creed, which he was the main driving force in creating, the very Creed that brought the Imperium to this world, that allowed them to notice Arthur. He is strangely open and undefensive of his past. His actions were so horrible that he wasn't given the honor of being well known as an emperor, but a God. White apparently decided to give him a chance. The populace of the Imperium aren't so sure about him, the fact he made the Imperial Creed is not known publicly.

Blue

Blue is known as the Emperor of Invention. His rise to power was one of creation and creativity. He is the most relaxed of the Emperors and was the second emperor Arthur unlocked. As the others are, he is fiercely loyal to the Imperial Creed that was made after Silver's rise to prominence in order to keep more 'Evil Gods' from being born.

Gold

Gold is known as the Emperor of Emperors, as the first Emperor born he is the strongest, and always shall be. His rise to power was slow and unstoppable, from a young age he was a prodigal leader, and only became more so as he grew. He is the most cold and removed Emperor, however if any should defy the Imperium, he strikes without mercy. He is the second most loyal to the Imperial Creed, only after Silver, who effectively wrote the Creed. He was the last Human Gear Arthur unlocked, and the one Arthur fears.

Red

Known as the Emperor of generals. He was Silver's main general in the conquest of an unruly world that has decided they didn't need the Imperium. His power and strategic genius are not to be underestimated. He was the first Imperial citizen to become an Emperor, followed only, for now, by Forest.

Opal

(Ignore the ears and tail)

Known as the Emperor of wisdom. His rise to power was relatively quiet compared to the others. It was full of learning and testing, he was a scientist who survived many experiments gone wrong and ultimately became an Emperor from his prudency and knowledge. He is thought to be nearly the smartest and wisest of the Emperors, second only to the Emperor of Emperors, who is the oldest of the group.

Crimson

Known as the Emperor of Fire. Before his ascent to emperor hood he had the most powerful, and versatile, fire magic in his world. He quickly gained name followers and students, all of them wishing to be his successor. Not one of them was capable of reproducing even half of the spells their teacher could. Soon they began worshiping him as a god, despite his protests.

Grey

Known as the Empress of battle. Before her ascent to the acme of humanity, she was the greatest warrior of her planet. She is still undefeated to date, the only Emperor who hasn't been challenged by this beauty is Silver, who refused every advance made by her. After seeing him fight once she stopped challenging him and calling him a coward. Seems she was traumatized by the experience, pity. Gold just outright told her to leave him alone, as he was dealing with a major crisis and didn't want to deal with her at the moment, she is still ignoring him.

Violet

Violet is known as the Empress of mercy. Her rise to power came before Silver's, and it was the exact opposite, all humans praised her as a saint given flesh, and when she forgave those who attempted to attack her they became some of the most fervent of her followers. She wears angel wings because she finds out funny to mock the impure religions of old, who claimed that their angels were mercy and forgiveness incarnate, but ultimately weren't.

Purple

Known as the Empress of creation. Her rise to power technically never existed, she was created as an Empress in an experiment in which millions of powerful essence cultivators, known as S rankers, sacrificed themselves in mass. This was the birth of her soul. She was born relatively normally, except for her glowing aura and eyes.

White

Known as the Empress of beauty. Make no mistake, she is not stupid nor is she envious. All who see her beauty are smitten immediately and can never forget her, man or woman. The other Emperors are attracted to her, yes, but none less so than Silver. She is actually very loyal to Silver, despite him being younger than her, because of this fact. Even when he revealed his past to her, in early single gruesome detail, she still swore to stay by his side. They got married ten years after that, the ten years were spent celebrating the engagement of two Emperors. Silver and White, the two colors do go well together. She is also the only person to have seen Silver's face, and anytime someone asks her what he looks like she skillfully distracts them with something else.

Forest

Known as the Empress of dragons. Forest's rise to power involved lots and lots of dragons, and so her people call her the other of dragons. The records are unclear as to what the dragons were used for, but they live to this day.

Kuro

Known as the Empress of accuracy. She has never missed a shot fired from her guns in the history of the Imperium, or her life.

Imperial Creed

Those who have power, have a duty to use it.

Those who have good will, have a duty to rise.

Those who are loyal, have a duty to the Imperium.

Those who threaten the Imperium, have a duty to be annihilated.

The Emperors of the Imperium, have a duty to guide those with destinies to become Emperors.

The Imperium shall rise from it's crib universes and strike out upon the universes among the multiverse, for it has a duty to humanity.

To rise and unite, so we shall stand against all in the darkness of the void.
