Halo's POV
The next morning, I woke up to a sore ass and a fuzzy memory. How did I get in my bed? And why was I naked? Last I knew, I was tutoring Troy, when he closed the- ohhh. Right.
I actually did it. I slept with Troy Steel. And even better, I was the first to sleep with him. Take that, bitches. I turned around, expecting to see the sexy quarterback, but I was alone. I sat up in a panic. Had this been a one night stand and I just didn't realize? Had he just been trying to get into my pants the whole time?
I climbed out of bed, having the decency to put on a pair of clean boxers, then gingerly walked out of my room. I smelled bacon, so I crept downstairs, and I hopefully called out, "Troy?" while clinging to the railing for support, since I was barely on my feet. Within moments, the sandy blonde walked into the living room, a pan of bacon in hand.
"Good morning, sleepy," he said as I let out a sigh of relief. "What, d'you think I had left?" He asked.
"Kinda," I admitted. "I woke up the morning after an amazing night with the guy I've been crushing on all school year and he was missing, what'd you expect me to think?" Troy chuckled.
"Sorry," he said. "I was hoping you'd stay asleep long enough for me to make you breakfast in bed. I should have wrote for you to stay put if you woke up."
"It's ok," I said. "But hey. If we do this, if we become an item, there's no not telling your friends, ok?"
"Of course. But I want to tell Cyran first, cool?" I nodded. "My parents can find out themselves. They don't pay attention to me when they're on business trips, so I won't bother updating them on my love life. If they want to know, they can ask. But I'm not going out of my way to go up to them and say, 'hey mom, dad, I'm gay, as it turns out. And I have a boyfriend, he's the only Emo at school,' ok?"
"Ok. Everyone will be so shocked, the King of Coreville going out with undesirable number one," I giggled.
"You are not undesirable in any way, shape, or form. Especially not shape," Troy purred, grabbing my butt.
"Hey! My ass is still sore from you tearing it open with that giant cock of yours," I griped. Troy chuckled.
"Well, grab a seat and you can have bagels and bacon," Troy said. "I made what I could. I'm no chef." I smiled at my new boyfriend, and took a seat carefully. "Bon appetit," he with a goofy fake-French accent. I giggled.
"Hey, Troy, can we go to school on Monday holding hands?" I asked.
"That sounds like a wondrous idea," Troy said, placing a kiss on my cheek. I blushed, and ate quickly. "Hey, my sweet angel, could we stop by my place if you're up for it?" I nodded. "I want you to meet Cyran. You may have seen him around school last year."
"You can borrow some of my clothes," I said. Troy nodded, then we went to my room, each of us donning a pair of my ripped black jeans, which fit Troy and his smooth curves perfectly, and I put on a light gray shirt and a black hoodie, while I lent Troy a black shirt and matching leather jacket, and damn if I didn't wanna tackle him then and there.
"Let's go, then," Troy said, and I drove us to his place, where he let me in.
"Hey, Cy- oh, mom, dad, perfect timing," Troy said. "The three of you, wait in the living room? I want you to meet somebody." He beckoned for me to come inside, and I nervously stepped in, toying with my lip piercing anxiously. "Hey, it's gonna be fine, love. Don't worry." I nodded, and Troy took me by the hand, pulling me into their huge living room. Calling Troy's family rich was an understatement. Their house was the biggest on the block, and that was saying something in their rich-ass neighborhood. "Guys, this is Halo. He's my... well, to put it simply, he's my boyfriend." His parents stood up with unreadable faces, and for a moment, I was worried that they were going to kick Troy out. Then they pulled both of us into a giant hug.
"I'm Portia, and this is Wade," Troy's mom said. I smiled shyly. "I'm so happy to hear that my little boy has picked such a cute date."
"Wow, this is going better than I expected," Troy chuckled. "Halo's been my friend for the past week or so, until last night, when he became the most important thing in the world to me." I blushed, play swatting him lightly. "Oh don't be like that, angel."
"You take care of my son," Mrs. Steel said. I nodded.
"I won't let anything happen to him, Mr. and Mrs. Steel," I said.
"Oh please, use our first names, son," Wade said. "You're an honorary Steel, now."
"How are you guys ok with this?" Cyran suddenly barked. I winced. Here was that negative reaction I was worried about. "Troy isn't just gay, he's picked the only guy at his school who doesn't have any friends, and is probably in a gang or something!"
"Cyran Jay Steel you watch your attitude!" Portia snapped. "I'm sure your brother would be smart enough to not date a gang member, and gay relationships are not a crime!"
"I'm 19! I can do what I want, even if it means showing this family reason!" Cyran snapped, and marched over to Troy, grabbing his brother and punching him. He pinned Troy to the ground beating the poor boy senseless, and that's when I lost it.
"Get the fuck off of him!" I roared. "Get off of Troy right fucking now!" Cyran seemed to not hear me, so I pushed him off of my boyfriend punching Troy's brother with all the strength I had. "Nobody!" Punch. "Hurts!" Punch. "My!" Punch. "Boyfriend!" Punch.
"Ok, ok!" Cyran relented. Satisfied, I got off of the vile man. "Fucking psycho!"
"Get away from him before I regret leaving it at just that," I snapped. "You should be thankful I was in a good mood before, or that would have been so much worse." Cyran scrambled out of the room. I moved over to Troy, who already had bruises from his brother. "Are you ok, Troy?"
"Yeah," he said, but I could see that he was on the verge of tears.
"Oh, honey, I'm so sorry," Portia said. "But, we have to leave in an hour, and I don't think that you and Halo will be safe here with Cyran. Halo, dear, can he stay with you when me and Wade are out of town?"
"Yeah," I said. "I haven't known him face to face for long, but Troy is my world. I refuse to let him stay here with that homophobic bastard. I'll help him get some of his things, and he can stay with my family, and I'll drive him here when you two are home. Here's my number and home phone, so you can text or call me when you're in town."
"Thank you," Wade said. "We had no idea that Cyran was going to react like that. We can only hope he someday sees reason. But Troy, son?"
"Yeah, d-dad?" Troy asked quietly. I could tell that he was terrified so I hugged my boyfriend gently.
"Hey, you're ok, Troy," I whispered. "I've got you, alright?" I whispered. He nodded.
"Troy, dear, we've been waiting for you to realize that about yourself for a while," Portia said, stifling a chuckle.
"What?"
"We had a feeling you were gay," Wade said. "We were just waiting for you to catch onto that fact yourself."
"How did you guys know before me?" Troy asked.
"Your nature, dear. You've never had a girlfriend, you have pictures of male movie stars on your walls, and you definitely had your moments, that's for sure. Remember Quall Lake? Freshmen year?"
"Oh, don't bring up Quall Lake!" Troy groaned, and his faced flushed pink.
"Quall Lake? As in the yearly mandatory school camping trip?" I asked. Troy nodded.
"My mom was volunteering as a chaperone," Troy explained. "Remember how all the guys tried to get you and the other outcast freshmen to join the spin the bottle game on the first night? Well, when it was my turn, the bottle landed on James McCarthen. Most embarrassing moment of my life. Also happened to be my first kiss, along with the first time I got a har- Wait. Mom, you can't be serious! I was a hormonal-as-fuck teenager! I only even told you because I was scared of the situation! I'd just kissed a person for the first time, and McCarthen honestly looked a lot like a girl back then," Troy groaned irritably.
I snickered. "Ok, getting a hard-on from a guy, no matter how girly McCarthen was and still is, is undeniably gay."
"You would know," Troy snorted.
"I do know, that's why I said it," I chuckled with a dirty smirk, watching as Troy realized what he implied.
"Either way, Troy, we support you no matter what," Portia said. "But What's this about implied sex?"
"Mom!" Troy blushed. Portia looked at him, as if expecting answers. "Fine, we slept together! We're both 18, so it's not a problem," he said, looking at the ground as a red hue coated his face. Portia rolled her smiling eyes.
"Anyways, you'd best get what you want and need from your room, and we'll mail the rest after locking your room to keep Cyran out, ok, honey?" Portia said. Troy nodded.
"Mom?" He said. "Thank you. Thank you both for not acting like Cy' did." His parents nodded, hugging us tightly once more, then I lead him upstairs, where he took over and took us to his room.
"This is huge!" I said.
"You said that last night, too," Troy said. I laughed. "Can you help me pack?"
"Yeah, you can use the spare room at my house as your bedroom. Not that the bed will be in use. I would have offered it sooner, but my parents thought my aunt would be coming to us." I helped Troy pack 3 weeks worth of clothes to start, then he packed up his video game consoles, his jerseys, and an assortment of personal items, then Troy said a tearful goodbye to his parents and we went to my- our home.
"Welcome home, Mr. Steal-My-Heart," I said. Troy chuckled.
"Thanks," he mumbled.
"Halo! There you are, we were worried sick when we couldn't find you!" My mom cried. "Oh, Hello, Troy."
"Hey, mom, dad," I said. "Guess what?"
"What is it?" My dad asked.
"I brought a boy home," I said with an ear to ear grin. My mom squealed. "Troy has to stay with us. His parents have to travel most of the time, and his brother didn't take well to him being gay. Almost seriously hurt my Troy," I growled, tightening my grip on Troy's suitcase. My boyfriend put a hand on my shoulder, calming me instantly. "Can I give him the spare room?"
"Of course. So when did you two get together?" My mom asked.
"Last night," I said.
"Are you two close or just going out?" My dad asked.
Troy and I laughed. "Let's just say you'll be glad you weren't home last night," Troy said.
"Geez," My mom said. "Y'all're gonna have to warn us then."
"Or keep it in your pants," my dad added. I laughed.
"That may be difficult," I said. "My boyfriend is the finest piece of ass at school." My dad laughed, while my mom rolled her eyes.
"The boy has his priorities straight," My dad remarked to My mom, who swat him on the head. "What? It's true."
"Why don't you help Troy get settled into his room?" My mom asked. I nodded, and helped Troy carry his things upstairs.
"You can sleep in this bed or with me in mine," I said.
"I'll probably sleep with you," Troy said. I raised an eyebrow and smirked at him. "Not like that, dumbass!"
"Oh, I think it will be like that," I said slyly. "Especially since the walls are padded. We can do whatever we want without them hearing us. It's a small house, but insulated just right."
"Oh?" Troy asked. "You care to test that?" I looked at my boyfriend hungrily, and he tackled me to his bed, then I gave him a stern look, and shook my head.
"Let me see where he hit you," I said. Troy sighed, and reluctantly took off his shirt. I gasped in horror as my eyes trailed over several bruises that were already beginning to form. Most were small, but there also a few large ones with a nasty bluish tint, and one on his cheek. However, the one that really grabbed my attention was a hand shaped bruise wrapping around his neck. "He tried to choke you," I whispered in horror. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want you to worry. I'm fine, Thanks to you," Troy said. "Please don't worry, Halo."
"I knew it," I said, beginning to cry. "I knew you'd get hurt because of me, I knew something bad would happen."
"Halo, it's not your fault Cyran did this," Troy murmured soothingly, rubbing circles on my back. "Halo, don't cry, my beautiful angel, please don't cry. I'm not hurt, the bruises don't hurt, so please don't cry, Halo, my love." I nodded, sniffling.
"I'm a mess, aren't I?" I mumbled with a smile.
"Little bit," Troy agreed, kissing my forehead. "But I love you all the more for it. You have the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met, and I must be the the luckiest man alive to get to be your boyfriend. But can I ask you something, my beautiful angel?" I nodded. "Is Charlie's death why you're an Emo?"
I chuckled. "Actually, no. I first dyed my hair and got my right ear and eyebrow pierced in sixth grade. I got my lip pierced in seventh, right before I met Charlie. I got my tattoo the summer he after died, before I started freshman year, in memory of him."
"I didn't get to see your tattoo last night, I was too busy having the night of my life with the man of my dreams," Troy said. "May I?" I nodded, and he pulled my hoodie off, then my shirt.
