"HELL YEAH FUCK BOI! GIVE ALL YOUR STOLEN TREASURE TO ME! THE STYLISH BANDIT SLAYER!~"

A large group of bandits and thieves were suddenly cut down by a young yet very powerful figure who wore clothing of pure darkness. A single strike from his sword was enough to nearly kill everyone instantly, and those that survived and were lucky enough to even attempt to attack the one known as the 'Stylish Bandit Slayer' found themselves met with futility and hopelessness; the black cloth that the figure wore, despite appearing to be normal fabric, was clearly strong and durable enough to stop the attacks dead in their tracks. The enemies could only realize the horrors of their mistakes before being cut down.

"Phew, looks like that was everyone~"

The stylish bandit slayer, who also goes by the name of Cid Kageno, wiped the blood off his blade before turning back to slime and being absorbed back into his clothes. He hummed as he patted himself clean.

"Defense has definitely improved, but my suit needs better slime materials that can conduct 100% of my magic, instead of 99.99%, though I'll worry about that later."

Cid then walked up to a random treasure chest and kicked it open, revealing a huge load of stolen gold and gems; the sight of the money made him smile wildly.

"For now it's time to recover my rewards that I so definitely earned!~"

Cid quickly started to shove everything that was either money, or valuable enough to earn him a quick buck, into his slime suit; after this greedy little shadow gremlin stuffed himself with enough cash to last him a month or so, he decided it was time to book it and leave the area. Though, he made sure to leave some clues or hints that he was in the area as some kind of mysterious hero or something like that.

"Hehe, I definitely made bank today, but I can't wait for when I get to take on stuff like the mafia, a lawless town or even a corrupt Kingdom, not only will I get countless amount of funds, but I can finally show the world of the soon to be 'Eminence In Shadow'! Like what I always dreamed of back in my own world!~..."

While leaping over the trees, Cid couldn't help but suddenly stop and take a moment to gaze up at the lovely full moon that was shining brightly in the night sky; he was lost in deep thought, his face wearing a soft, unreadable expression.

"Ten years…"

After a moment of silence, Cid quickly looked away and pulled out a notebook, wasting no time in writing something inside of it.

'Dramatically looking at the moon, checking that off my bucket list…'

While Cid was writing in his notebook, with a title that read 'Badass Mysterious Things To Do As A Eminence in Shadow Bucket List,' he took a glance away from his list and instantly noticed a very well-hidden tomb in the middle of the forest; he could have easily missed it had he not stopped, but since he did notice it, he couldn't exactly ignore it now.

"Meh, I got enough time to at least look around, if there is something worth taking, I could always just come back tomorrow."

Cid shrugged, seeing no harm in at least taking a look at what this mysterious tomb had to offer. After putting away his notebook and making sure he looked presentable just in case he needed to show it off, he then dashed forward and went towards the direction of the tomb. Since he didn't want to dilly-dally all night, he just went straight inside and ignored everything outside; though he did see something on the floor while walking in.

'Oh neat, a ring, definitely looks cool and I like the symbol, maybe I can plagiarise it and make it my own~'

Having already found something that made this whole trip worth it, which was a specific ring with a red gem and had a symbol engraved in it, Cid decided to keep moving forward with renewed interest and motivation; he also put on the ring while moving forward, for 'Eminence In Shadow' reasons.

"Holy Shit! This Place Is Huge!"

Cid didn't think he would find anything, but he certainly wasn't expecting to find something so otherworldly.

"Forget indoor pools, this tomb has a fucking lake inside!"

"Did someone forget to turn off the AC? It's Literally Freaking Snowing In Here!"

"God Damnit! Now They Forgot To Turn Off The Heater, So Much LAVA!"

"STARS?! WASN'T I GOING UNDERGROUND, HOW IN THE FUCK ARE STARS IN THIS TOMB?!"

"Oooooh… What a kickass throne!~"

As he continued to descend into the underground, and visit each floor that it had to offer, Cid couldn't help but admit that, despite putting himself through a lot, both in training and crazy stuff like hunting bandits, he was constantly being mind-blown, amazed, and extremely shocked with each level he visited, ranging from seeing a lake to literally seeing the night sky, even though he was still technically underground, it was all unbelievable and an incredible experience, culminating in a very large throne room. Unfortunately, this room, along with the other rooms he visited, was completely dark and had no lights on, which took away some of the pleasure of seeing its entire beauty, but even so, he truly loved what he saw as he walked down the carpet; it wasn't even covered in dust, sparkling and spotless.

"Man, whoever made this entire underground secret tomb, they definitely knew how to make it stylish and fancy."

Cid could only sing its praises and offer his compliments to all that he had witnessed thus far; he then walked up and stood before the throne at the other end of the room.

"This place definitely reeks of power, wealth, and authority… Which is completely perfect for a soon to be 'Shadowbroker' like me!~"

After a moment of admiration, Cid could not help but wear a wide grin, as he did not hesitate to sit on the fancy throne and strike a pose that was very fitting for someone who tried to look like some kind of secret ruler of the underworld.

"Listen Well, My Newly Found Home! I Am The Stylish Bandit-, no, I Am Shadow! The One Who Hides In The Darkness And Fights The Darkness! I Am Your New Lord And Master Of This Great Tomb! Everything In Here Will Forever Belong To Me For Whatever Purpose I See Fit! I Will Not Be Taking No For An Answer, And To Those That Wish To Oppose Me, YOU BETTER BE READY TO BE STRIKE DOWN ON WHERE YOU STAND!"

Cid, who had abandoned the name "Stylish Bandit Slayer" and gone with the new title "Shadow," after he made such a bold declaration of taking over this seemingly abandoned tomb, also decided to let loose a powerful, though controlled, shockwave of pure magic, which swept across the throne room and forward. There was a moment of silence as Cid continued to wear a expression and hold a pose that showed nothing but authority and unwavering determination.

'HELL YES! Cross 'Assert Dominance In Your New Home' off that bucket list!~'

After those moments of feeling like a total badass, Cid couldn't help but let out a sigh and just relaxed on the throne, feeling beyond satisfied with his accomplishment.

'Haaah~... Welp I guess I should go home now, don't wanna get scolded by my Sister again.'

Cid was about to get up and leave the area; no doubt he would return to this tomb, but for now he decided to call it a day and go home to go to bed. Maybe he could make some plans on how to make this place more fitting to his tastes and style.

'Shadow huh, I feel so embarrassed for not using that name in the first, Stylish Bandit Slayer was such a stupid name, hm, I wonder if-'

Before Cid could even get up or continue his random thoughts about the new name he had picked for himself, he was immediately stopped and startled by the entire throne having its lights turn on and seemingly bring this room back to life; not only that, but the front entrance door quickly opened and revealed something, or someone, that he was clearly not expecting.

"I can't believe it, we've been blessed by the Supreme Ones… What A Joyous Day Indeed!~"

The first one to enter was a pristine beauty, outfitted with a marvelous white dress that enveloped her enticing curves. Her hands, which were covered with pure white gloves, rested over her heart. The void-colored wings that spurted out of her hips fluttered in glee, as her black hair, accompanied by two short, marble-like horns, dangled in front of her face.

"He must be our new Lord! I can practically sense such overwhelming power within him!~"

She was soon followed by a petite doll-like figure who was no taller than 140 centimeters; the purple gothic dress that she wore swayed left and right with every word she spoke, while her crimson eyes stared deeply into the person's soul.

"Not. Only. That. But. He. Wears. The. Ring. Of. The. Supreme. Beings."

The next speaker to approach was an imposing-looking creature, bearing the resemblance of a mixture between a mantis and an ant. Its body was coated with shimmering cerulean armor, leaving no weak spots unprotected. It clicked its mandibles in quick succession and exhaled a cold, blue mist from its mouth.

"So he must be our new Lord! He Has To Be!~"

The third person to speak up was a dark elf of similar stature to that of the vampire; her blonde hair and heterochromatic eyes were what distinguished her from the petite gothic undead. She wore a leather outfit crafted from the hides of the toughest of monsters, below her neck and over her clavicles was a golden necklace adorned with an acorn of the same color.

"I-I'm so happy we weren't abandoned after all this time waiting…"

Another dark elf said, although this one appeared to be a girl, it was actually a boy; he wore a similar outfit to that of his twin, albeit with an inverted color palette – instead of wearing a red outfit, he wore a blue one. He attempted to make eye contact with the other dark elves, but his shyness prevented him from doing so. Gripping the wooden staff that he held in his hands, he used it as a means of coping with his anxiety.

"Though I'm curious why they sent us a human? Breeding purposes perhaps, since our former Master was an undead skeleton?"

Last but not least was a slim, tan man wearing a red-striped British suit; the metallic tail that stuck out of his back swayed in an unpredictable pattern, which betrayed the calm demeanor that he so desperately tried to maintain.

"Silence! We shall not challenge or question our new Lord that was no doubt gifted by the Supreme One, let us bow and give them our ritual of fidelity~"

The one who was the first to enter quickly rallied the others up and wasted no time in standing before Cid, who had decided to remain in his pose of pure confidence and authority, though in the inside he was extremely confused as to what was happening.

"Guardian of the first, second, and third floor of the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, Shalltear Bloodfallen I bow before the Supreme One."

The vampire, now known as Shalltear Blood-Sprite, bows before her new Lord

"The. Guardian. Of. The. Fifth. Floor. Of. The. Great. Underground. Tomb. Of. Nazarick. Cocytus. I. Bow. Before. The. Supreme. One."

The insect monster, now known as Cocytus, bows before its new Lord.

"Guardian of the sixth floor of the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, Aura Bella Fiora."

The female Dark Elf, now known as Aura Bella Fiore.

"Also the G-Guardian of the sixth floor, Mare Bello Fiore."

The Male Dark Elf, now known as Mare Bello Fiore.

"We bow before the supreme one."

Both children kneel before their new Lord.

"Guardian of the seventh floor of the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, Demiurge, I bow before the Supreme One."

The Devil, now known as Demiurge, bowed before his new Lord.

"Overseer of the Floor Guardians, Albedo. I bow before your supreme presence, my lord, other than the Guardian of the fourth floor, Gargantua, and the Guardian of the eighth floor, Victim, all the Floor Guardians have gathered before you. Please bestow your orders upon us, Supreme One. We offer you everything that we are and everything that we'll ever be to you, oh great master of Nazarick."

The Succubus, now known as Albedo, was the last one to bow before her new Lord, as she finished the ceremony by promising to forever be with their new Lord, and would never abandon him or leave his side, ever again, for the rest of eternity, until death do they part; there was a moment of silence after this, as the Floor Guardians continued to bow before their new Lord, who only stared back at them with a fierce and powerful glare.

"... Wonderful, My Newly Acquired Servants! I am confident that all of you will be able to fulfill your duties without fail!"

No, Shadow, Lord Shadow, he sat upon the throne and gazed at everyone with a sly yet accepting smile, which definitely made the Servants, "His" Servants, feel happier and more content than ever before, for the emptiness and hollowness within them had been replaced with warmth, joy, and purpose. Inside Cid's mind, he wore a very excited and triumphant smile, one that was filled with satisfaction and accomplishment.

'Becoming some kind of 'King' or 'Master of a large loyal group', check, man so many goals I'm achieving today!~'

This takes place in the world of Overlord, and while I might add some characters or storyline from the Eminence In Shadow, everything from Overlord will be used, despite some changes here and there, at the moment this chapter is just a starter, I have plans but I'm unsure how to go about it, I'm open to suggestions and advice if you have any.

(BTW the reverse idea could work for Ainz, when he finds Alpha and heals her, and the reason Alpha joins Ainz is because she hates her own kind for betraying her and would only follow the one that saved her)
