The Emerald Sentinels along with Harrier and a group of Rex Guardians approached Gentle Criminal and La Brava to confront them.

Harrier: Stop right there!

Gentle Criminal looked at the Sky Knights approaching him with a smile on his face.

Gentle Criminal: Sky Knights! I've been expecting you!

Midoriya: Why are you attacking Terra Rex?!

Gentle Criminal: What better place to make my debut than the birthplace of the Sky Knights? Allow me to introduce myself, I am Gentle Criminal and this is La Brava!

Gentle Criminal then points his cane at the Sky Knights and fires an energy beam at the Sky Knights, causing them to scatter.

La Brava: Nice shot, Gentle! 

Gentle Criminal smiled as the Sky Knights group. Ochaco then throws a Gravity Stone at the floor beneath the criminals, causing them to float in the air. 

Midoriya: Great going, Ochaco!

Meanwhile, Gentle Criminal and La Brava float in the air. La Brava manages to hold and steady the camera while Gentle calmly floats. The Emerald Sentinels move on them, but Gentle Criminal uses his cane to fire on the Sky Knights.

Gentle Criminal: How is the footage coming along, La Brava?

La Brava: We're getting amazing footage!

As Gentle Criminal continued to fire on the Sky Knights, Midoriya gestured to his squadron along with the Rex Guardians to clear the town. When they cleared, Midoriya confronted Gentle Criminal as the effects of the Gravity Crystal wore off. 

Midoriya: Your raid on Terra Rex ends now!

Gentle Criminal and Midoriya soon engaged in a fight while La Barava records the fight from a safe distance. 

Midoriya: Why are you doing this?! What's your game?!

Gentle Criminal: To carve my name in history, for future generations! So that going forward, someone out there... will give a moment's thought to the way I lived, and aspire to it. And this dream is no longer mine alone. Today marks my first step towards true infamy.

Midoriya: So you'd put innocents in danger just to make a name for yourself?!

Gentle Criminal: You truly are a Sky Knight, young one. You wouldn't understand, but I assume you can comprehend...my penchant to dream.

As Gentle Criminal fought Midoriya, Gentle Criminal remembered his old dreams of becoming a Sky Knight. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to to fulfill those dreams. Left without a purpose, he chose a life of crime. As he fought Midoriya, he saw himself in the young Sky Knight.

Gentle Criminal: I know that look. The look of someone with a dream! Tell me, why do you wish to become a Sky Knight?! 

Midoriya: Because I want to help people! To keep them safe from those who would do them harm!

Gentle Criminal couldn't help but admire Midoriya's resolve. La Brava watched with worry as Midoriya held his own against Gentle Criminal. As the fight dragged on, Midoriya continued to press the attack. 

Midoriya: If we're really alike, then you must understand that what you're doing isn't right! Ruining the dreams of others is no way to achieve an honorable dream!

Gentle Criminal is taken aback by the Sky Knight's words as Midoriya begins swinging his Energy Blade at the criminal. Gentle then remembers how he tried to help a Sky Knight in his home Terra, but was rewarded with a lecture and a strike for obstructing justice. Gentle Criminal smirks as Midoriya presses the attack. 

Gentle Criminal: Heh. I guess we're more alike then I thought. I bet your dream isn't yours alone. My dream isn't mine alone. 

Soon enough, the Emerald Sentinels rushed to Midoriya's aid and began overwhelming Gentle Criminal. At this point, the fight was over. La Brava stopped recording and rushed to Gentle's side. 

La Brava: No! I won't let you take him!

As La Brava was about to fight the Sky Knights, Gentle Criminal got up and stopped her. 

Gentle Criminal: It's....it's over La Brava. 

La Brava: But Gentle....

Gentle Criminal simply smiled at her. 

Gentle Criminal: It's over, La Brava. My road ends here. There's no need for you to go down with me. 

La Brava began crying for her friend as he turned his attention to the Emerald Sentiels, specifically Midoriya with a request.

Gentle Criminal: Sky Knight. I surrender. All that I ask is that you let La Brava go. There's no need for her to go down on my account. Please, she...she doesn't deserve this. 

Midoriya took a moment to think on Gentle's request. He took pity on the man for he wasn't evil. He was simply a misguided dreamer. 

Midoriya: Gentle Criminal, I'm....I'm taking you into custody. As for your friend

The Emerald Sentinels didn't say a word as Midoriya honored Gentle's request as La Brava disappeared into the forest. Gentle smiled as she took off from Terra Rex.

Gentle Criminal: (Goodbye, La Brava. Thank you for always believing in me.)

Soon enough, Gentle Criminal was taken into custody. Midoriya took no pleasure in that fight or taking Gentle Criminal into custody. After the fight, Gentle Criminal was taken into custody by the Rex Guardians and was jailed for his crimes. But Midoriya saw hope in him. Hope for a second chance to better himself. With that, Midoriya and the Emerald Sentinels boarded the Eagle and left Terra Rex. The victory on Terra Rex was a bittersweet one. Despite the victory, Midoriya took no pleasure in what happened with Gentle Criminal. Though he hoped Gentle would turn his life around for the better and use his skills for a better cause.
