Bio: Benjamin was born into a wealthy family in Star City, Washington State, and grew up with only one passion: Archery.

Having been drawn to the sport his whole life, Ben received tutelage from one of the best archers in the entire world. As he grew, his skills perfected to where he won multiple contests, tournaments, regional titles, and even went on to become an Olympic Gold Metalist. He was practically a Rockstar. Only, instead of a guitar, he carried a bow and arrow.

Outside of his career with a bow, Ben enjoyed a privileged life as a member of the McFarland family, who were known for owning one of the top six charitable companies in America known as McFarming Industries.

The rest of his family consisted of his parents, Carlton and Julie, who started the company together, his older brother Thomas, sometimes called Tommy, and his adopted sister Racheal. She too came from a wealthy family, the youngest of five, the rest of them being boys. However, her birth family wasn't anything like Benjamin's. Her father was a crooked businessman, her mother was uncaring and neglectful, and her brothers were all troublemakers. They were not good people by any means. In fact, her parents once attempted to prostitute Racheal at a young age for a business deal. Thankfully, Ben's family prevented this from happening before bringing her into a real home with a loving family and crippling her family's business for good. Since then, she's been raised as one of theirs, with Benjamin being a proud, adoring big brother.

Indeed, the young archer seemed to have it all in his life; wealth, statis, fame, success, you name it; but through it all, something was lacking; something was missing.

Once the Olympics were over, Benjamin hit a wall in his life, given the limited and ever decreasing opportunities for his archery talents. He possessed no other real skills, he didn't see himself as a fit for running the family business, but he didn't want to just rely on his family fortune all the time; and despite how often he was referred to as an American hero, he began to feel insecure about what he truly was contributing to those around him, especially with the ever-growing crime and poverty in his city. To make matters worse, he had discovered that his long-term girlfriend, along many others in his social group, were only with him because of his fame and fortune.

With all these factors thrown together, Benjamin began to feel like a prisoner of his own lifestyle, becoming increasingly frustrated and miserable with each passing day. He wanted to talk to somebody about it, but he wasn't sure if his family would or could understand, nor did he want to ruin the image his sister had of him. However, this only made him feel more alone and lost. Then finally, there came a day when he finally reached his breaking point, almost giving up in the process.

Realizing what was happening and how bad the situation was, the McFarlands did everything they could to help their son. Julie proposed hiring a shrink or sending him to a facility, but Carlton had what he hoped to be a more spiritual way by bringing his son along for an overseas business trip. Benjamin agreed with his father's proposal, seeing it as the perfect way to break away from his reality for a bit and to experience something new.

Little did anyone know just how much this trip would alter the life of Benjamin McFarland.
