🍃Chapter 27🍃

Wilbur loved the chaos, the amount of yelling and screeching that filled the air made the man smile wide. Soldiers fought against withers, dogs, and even people. It was beautiful if you asked the man, who held onto his sword with purpose as he let it slide through another being's stomach once again. It was funny, how he died the same way he was killing these many soldiers around him. "Wilbur?" His eyes widened, his whole body froze as who's voice that belonged to registered in his mind. He looked over, paling as his brown eyes met orange ones. Fundy, he looked torn, eyes widened in shock but also misty, mouth agape as if he wanted to say something. He looked lost as the two stared at one another. "H-How..." Wilbur glared. Fundy was with L'manburg, the same one he had tried to destroy for the greater good. He was with Tubbo, the one who threw his little brother out and the one to ceil the poor teens' fate.

"Hello, son." Fundy started backing up as Wilbur started growing closer.

"How are you alive?! What's going on!" His voice wavered as he spoke as if he was trying to force himself to sound braver than he was letting on. Wilbur's hold on his sword grew, eyes staring holes into the younger. Wilbur wished he could be capable of killing his own blood,

"Go." fundy's eyes widened at the father.

"Wha?-"

"GO!" Fundy's ears pinned back as he ran off, eyes turning back towards the brownette behind him. Wilbur turned away after watching his own blood run, hoping that Fundy would leave the battle altogether. He swung his sword at the next soldier, seeing he was already struggling against the three dogs already attacking him.

Tubbo didn't know how to react, seeing Tommy alive and fighting. His ears jerked every which way, his eyes barely moving as he fought in battle. It had confused Tubbo at first, his green eyes tracing the other as he tried to understand what was happening. It wasn't until Tommy turned towards him that he realized what was happening. His eyes were cloudy, not the normal crystal blue that Tubboremembered sparkling as he thought of the next prank they could play. Tommy looked almost dead, his lips in a thin line as he focused on the people attacking him. The goat hybrid didn't know how to react, his green eyes widening the longer his brain tried to process what was happening.

He raced forwards towards his best friend, hoping that he could just make sure his brain wasn't playing tricks on his brain again. "TOMMY!" The raccoon hybrid paused at the teen's yell, looking towards the noise in both confusion and fear. He was going to tackle the other in a hug, but Tommy moved his sword to block his way before he could embrace the other. He backed up, eyes wide as he looked towards Tommy's angry face. "T-Tommy?"

"Go away." His voice was firm as he spoke.

"What?"

"Go away, Tubbo." he growled out, ears pinned back as he spoke. Tubbo felt hurt, his eyes misty at the other's words.

"Tommy-"

"No, go away. I don't want to talk to you ever again." He could tell Tommy was being serious, even if his eyes looked dead the rest of his face showed his emotions plain as day.

"Tommy, why are you being like this?" His voice cracked as he spoke. He didn't care, he just found Tommy again after thinking he was dead. He wasn't going to leave Tommy again., at least not willingly. But Tomy looked so infuriated towards the president, his grip on his weapon tight as if he was fighting himself over attacking him or not.

"Why am I being like this? Weren't you the one to send me away first?" That stung, Tubbo's tears threatening to spill over.

"Tommy, I had to! If I didn't- well, Dream would have destroyed L'manburg! Our home!" Tommy hissed at his words, the other teen not fighting the tears that streamed down his face. It confused the goat hybrid even more. Tommy wasn't one to show emotions. It was odd and hurt Tubbo to see the raccoon hybrid like this, his ears pinned back, tears running down his scarred cheeks, tail puffed up in anger.

"I was your best friend! I was there for you! I wanted to be there for you!" Tubbo backed up as Tommy took inches closer to him. His heart's beating grew louder in his ears, faster as if telling him directly he was afraid. "I don't care about L'manburg! It was never my home!" That stung. The place they lived in for years, the place they fought for, meant nothing for the blond. "I hate you! I hate this place!"

"Tommy!-"

"NO! I'm not listening to you!" His voice was desperate, eyes shining with something that Tubbo couldn't place. "Because of you, Dream got to torment me! Because of you, Dream got to manipulate me! Because of you, I was so lonely I wanted to DIE! Because of you, I lost my s-sight!" He could feel Tommy's breath on his face, his sad dead eyes boring into his own. It was almost like the blind teen could actually see him. "You never visited me, you left me for dead! You left me with- with DREAM! Fucking DREAM!"

"I'm sorry!" Tubbo yelled out, green eyes sparkling with any hope he had to ever have his Tommy back. The Tommy he grew up with, the Tommy he fought beside, the Tommy he got in trouble with, The Tommy he considered a brother... The Tommy he promised to always stand beside... Tubbo finally let his tears leak. He sniffled, his eyes dimming as Tommy's angry stare didn't falter at his desperate words.

"No apology you ever give me will ever be enough for the torture you let me go through in exile." His words were cold, holding no room for arguing. "You were never there for me when I needed you most. I've been fine without you Tubbo. I don't need you now, and I'll never need you again." Something was shoved into his chest, the goat hybrid quickly grabbing a hold of it before the object could fall to the floor. It was the compass that Gostbur had given the two, his thumb running against the words on the back with wide teary eyes. Tubbo felt his heartbreak for the second time, any hope of having Tommy back vanishing.

"Tommy..." The raccoon hybrid turned away, running off into the battle they were still fighting. It was the first time Tubbo had seen his best friend since he was exiled, and it would forever be his last.

Dream walked quietly around the scene before him, green eyes sparkling at the chaos around him. Who knew that killing a Minecraft would get the whole family to go berserk. He's seen quite a few interesting things, like Ghostbur for instance. He thought the ghost would be in limbo, Wilbur being revived in his place. Somehow he was alive, literally. He was good with a sword as well, swinging it through the air with precision, his blue eyes zeroed in on the people attacking him.

Wilbur was with them too, and even if he had snuck out leaving Dream angry for a few days. He was happy to see the revived man causing so much trouble already. Maybe he wouldn't need to worry about L'manburg if what was happening was what he thought it was. As if on cue, he heard the TNT going off, a cackle leaving his throat as he watched the beautiful contraption he's sure Philza himself came up with at work. It Quickly started destroying buildings, people all around L'manburg screaming in terror as they tried to get out of the great city. He only watched, green eyes crazed as he looked around. His prize pieces were doing more than he expected, something he would never complain about. He stopped though, his whole body tensing as his eyes fell on a sight he never would have seen coming.

Tommy himself, the same one he had sworn he left for dead with no hope of ever returning, was running to safety. He looked scared, as expected from the many explosions he had been caught with. His hair was braided instead of the rat nest he was left with the last time he had seen him, even his scarred body looking clean and not dirty. He wore new clothes too, ones fit for snowy places than places like L'manburg and his exile location. He was with his family. Dream felt his hands ball into fists as he put the pieces together. Why Technobladewas hostile towards him, why Philza disappeared, why when he went back to exile Tommy's body was gone.

Why can't Tommy just stay dead? Kill Tommy...

Tommy couldn't help the proud smile on his face as he ran to safety, Violet guiding him with its barking as they maneuvered around the chaos. For once, Tommy wished he could see the battlefield. This would have been one he wanted to take in, appreciate. He was stopped when the back of his shirt was yanked backwards, choking the teen in the process. He fell to the floor, coughing as Violet barked and growled above him. "How are you alive?" His breath hitched, dead eyes widening as he turned towards the voice. "Why can't you stay dead?" It was Dream.

"No... no, no, no..." It kept repeating, the raccoon hybrid quickly curling around himself as his dog kept barking at the man.

"This time, I'll make sure you stay dead." He couldn't function right, everything around him quickly became fuzzy. He was whimpering, his hands quickly reaching for his pinned back ears trying to drown the man's voice out.

"TOMMY!"
