🍃Chapter 21🍃
One Day Later. . .
Tommy will admit that the plan that Technoblade had come up with seemed like it would actually work. The problem was that the supplies they needed in order to finally end L'manburg would take a little to get, which wasn't too much of a problem since they had two other brothers and a father who was also willing to help. Philza had started on that pond that he and Technoblade were talking about when he first came to live with them. Even if the teen wouldn't be able to see the pond, he was sure it would be beautiful.
Either way, Tommy now was following his older brother to where he kept his wither skulls, which would be a very important part of their plan.
He was told the plan last night though, over dinner with the whole family, told at once and had been able to put their own thoughts into the plan as well. They all learned that Technoblade had a whole secret room filled with wither skulls at the same time, ready to unleash them onto whoever dared mess with the piglin hybrid at any time.
"So, you've been preparing for something like this for a while, huh?" The older brother huffed a laugh at his words during dinner.
"I had a feeling that eventually, people would come looking for me, and I knew most of them would only look for me for bad intentions. So, I started preparing for a day like that."
"Well, good thing you had that gut feeling, huh?" Wilbur had said, even with himself chewing steak, Tommy could hear the food as he spoke.
"Yep, it really is or we'd have to go and harvest those too." Philza had said with a chuckle.
Tommy lifted his hand, letting his fingers grip onto his older brother's cloak as they walked. Technoblade had taken Tommy specifically, giving the teen a few bags to store the needed wither skulls in. The way they were going was an area he knew, somewhere he could easily lose the other. Tommy was scared he'd lose his older brother and that he'd be stuck out here alone and scared.
He didn't want to be alone again, the silence scared him now, more than ever that now he couldn't see. He heard the older brother slow down some and hand reach for his own soon after. He let his fingers let go of the red cloak, and techno started leading his hand somewhere in front of him. His fingers grazed a stone-like surface, and before he knew it he was pressing a button-down to let the secret room reveal itself, he couldn't help but let his ears perk at the sound the hidden door made. He heard the door lifting, the many mechanics that probably took Techno forever to pull off come to life.
"I have the walls covered in wither skulls." Tommy nodded, his hand returning to Technoblade's cloak when he let his hand go. "We can grab the amount we need and then head back home. We can go bomb mining for the other materials tomorrow, I think that this is enough for today. Plus dad and Ghosty are going creeper hunting while we speak." Tommy nodded even if he started getting nervous about the bomb mining. Explosions were something he was still trying to get over, something both he and Technoblade had been working on.
This mining trip was one both he and Technoblade knew he needed to go on, it would help him get over his fear of explosions and help him with moving on from his past. Tommy would be lying if he said some days he didn't end up stuck in the past, replaying memories he knows he shouldn't be looking back to so often. Tommy's tail swished as he thought before speaking again.
"Can we bring Wilbur with us?" Technoblade was silent at the raccoon's question.
"Are you sure that we should bring a man, who is obsessed with explosions, to go bomb mining with us?" Both brothers paused at the thought.
"Yeah never mind." He heard Techno laughing as he moved around, dragging the younger along with him.
"Good choice, now help me with the skulls." Tomy did, opening the bag that Technoblade had given him to stuff them in. He held it open for the other, feeling the bag get heavier as Technoblade filled it. Tommy knew the plan would work, it had to work.

Tubbo sat at the table in Ranboo's kitchen, the man looked fidgety as he watched the eggs cook on the pan, spatula held tightly in his hand. The goat hybrid had been sipping on a coffee that the ender hybrid had made him, one sitting near the stove for the other himself. He had been acting weird since he woke up this morning, fidgety and distant.
He didn't like it. Usually, in the morning they would be chatting about something random to pass time and get a laugh, or talk about what they wanted to do for the day if they had the day off of work, or even talk about battle plans. This room was barely quiet, so now it was almost a tense silence and Tubbo couldn't help but be worried. "Ranboo?" Both green and red eyes looked towards Tubbo.
"Yeah?"
"What's wrong?" The other paused, eyes looking hazy for a moment before coming back into focus. He looked towards the eggs as he began to frown, using the spatula to plate the food.
"Nothing." It was Tubbo's turn to frown. He stood up from his seat, moving toward Ranboo. He laid his hand on the others arm, making the ender hybrid look back towards him.
"You can tell me, Ran." He knew something was wrong, he's never seen Ranboo act like this, almost paranoid. He wanted to be there for Ranboo, like how the taller had been there for him and still is. The half and half smiled, and the smaller could tell it was forced right away.
"Really, I'm ok." Tubbo didn't want to force the other. Ranboo had never forced him to talk, always just sitting there and hugging the other if he just wanted to cry it out, or just didn't want to talk about it. He'd just have to do the same, and hopefully it was the right decision.
"Ok, but I'm always here if you need me." Tubbo smiled, bringing the hybrid into a needed hug. He felt how he tensed at first, but eventually hugged the goat hybrid back. It was a sweet moment. "Now, let's eat and then get to work." After the hug it seemed the air started going back to normal, Ranboo smiling genuinely as he brought the plates over to eat.
Even if they seemed to be back to normal, Tubbo couldn't shake Ranboo's weird behavior. Something was definitely bugging the other, he just hoped he'd be able to help the ender hybrid when he eventually told him.
