🍃Chapter 19🍃

When Tommy awoke he did his normal routine. Get up, sit in bed for a few minutes, use the bathroom, get dressed, and walk down the hall to the downstairs ladder. It was a normal day, hearing laughter coming from the kitchen, mostly Techno telling an old funny story as his father cackled. What made him pause though, was a more rough version of Ghost's voice. Tommy was confused for a few seconds before he put the puzzle pieces together.

Wilbur Soot was in that room, united probably. He took a deep breath, smiling slightly before remembering last night. His demeanor quickly changed at the realization. He had broken down in front of the other, Wilbur had seen him have a panic attack, over Dream of all people.

It had been the first time Dream had been mentioned around him, he knew Philza and Technoblade talked about the male that used to be able to torment him whenever he pleased. With a deep breath Tommy walked in, ears laid against his head and tail dragging across the floor.

He pushed the door open, and the room almost immediately went silent. So much for no more awkward family breakfasts. "How come you slept in so much?" It was Philza, obviously oblivious to what happened that night. Tommy glared at where he heard his father.

"How come Wilbur is up here?" He shot back, not missing the wings that shifted at his words.

"Normal seat, there's eggs and cheesy potatoes." Technoblade tells his younger brother after his words are spoken, seeming to take a long-needed sip of coffee. As routine Tommy began to walk to his seat, settle down and pick his fork up that was always at his right.

"Is there coffee?" He asked. He needed some, himself still half asleep.

"Yeah, it's to your left. I put two sugars and some creamer in. Tried to go light on the creamer since you like to really taste the coffee." Tommy was grateful, reaching over to his left carefully before his fingertips touched the warmth of a coffee cup. He picked it up and brought it to his lips, taking a few needed gulps before setting it aside.

"Thanks, Techie." A hum came to his ears in response. Tommy sat the cup down, about to take a bit out of the potatoes when Wilbur's voice made him pause.

"Hey, Tommy." It seemed the air around them froze up.

"Hi. Wilbur." A very long pause, and then footsteps from above. Tommy was confused for a moment, reaching over towards his left where Ghost was, now realizing his other brother was gone.

"Bur slept in quite a bit, I must admit." Philza spoke, the clanking of silverware against plates slowly filling the silence. "Which is good, seeing as he barely sleeps." A long humm came from Technoblade.

"Yeah, decided to leave him alone so he could get more sleep. Who knows then the next time he'll sleep is." The piglin brother says. The door was slowly opened, the raccoon's ears whipping back towards the noise of a loud yawn.

"Morning." Ghost says, then a quick inhale is taken in. At this Tommy looks back towards the other, only to have himself pulled out of his chair and pulled into someone's chest. He knew it was Bur by his outburst as he shoves the younger behind him and the wings that quickly surrounded him. "Why is HE up here?!" He seemed very angry, panicked even, his wings shuddering in fear.

"Ghosty?" Technoblade sounded lost, his chair being pushed back as he, Tommy assumed, got up. "Ghost, what's going on?"

"Get him out." Tommy was pulled closer, his ears falling back as he realized the older was shaking.

"Why? What's going on?" It was Philza this time, his chair now being pushed back as he too got up. "Ghost, why does he need to leave, what's going on?"

"I know what he's done, I don't want him near Tommy." It paused for a moment, no one daring to move. "I saw it happen, Last night after seeing you more memories started coming back to me. I saw what you did, Wilbur Soot, and I want you nowhere near Tommy." Tommy froze at those words, understanding what the older brother meant.

"What is Bur talking about?" Philza questioned, his voice shaky and small as he spoke. "Well? Answer me." The father's voice was powerful, demanding answers that Tommy knew both he and Wilbur didn't want to give out. It seemed the other two brothers knew this, one deeply sighing before speaking up.

"In Pogtopia, when I first showed up, I noticed that Tommy started gaining bruises." Technoblade started speaking. "I ignored it at first, thinking maybe Tommy was just doing rough training with Tubbo or something. But I noticed whenever he and Wilbur were alone, that's when they showed up." Everyone was quiet as he spoke, and Tommy wished he could see everyone's expressions, to either know if they were sad or just angry, if he needed to leave before the yelling started. "It started getting worse, wounds showing up on the other, some scarring on his body. Eventually, it got to the point I just wanted to catch them so I could get Tommy away from the other, that way I would have evidence that what I thought was happening actually was occurring."

"It was." It was Wilbur who spoke. "I took my anger out on Tommy, and I know it was wrong." Tommy felt the past slowly creep up on him, his blind eyes widening as his breath quickened. It had been a long time since Pogtopia, a place he had thought he has long forgotten. It didn't haunt him as much now, but every once and a while he couldn't help the fear that crept into him remembering his brother during those days. He was scary, tormenting him just as Dream had been doing. But this wasn't Pogtopia, this was his house, the one he feels safe in. Technoblade was here, his brother who loved him dearly. His father, Philza, was here, the bird hybrid had made it abundantly clear he wasn't letting his youngest get hurt again. Ghostbur was here, who even now was protecting him.

"I had a long time to think, in my Limbo. I know I messed up, and I want to make up for it." Tommy held onto Ghostbur, whose hold on his slightly loosened. "I wanted to do it in a more private talk, but..." The raccoon's ears perked at the sound of someone walking towards him. "Tommy?" Said boy looked towards the voice, knowing Wilbur was speaking to him about something that was probably going to be serious. "I'm sorry, for everything. Not just Pogtopia, but for everything I put you through at such a young age." Tommy could hear how sincere the older brother was being, he knew the other wasn't lying when he said he was sorry. "I shouldn't have taken you with me when I left, I should have let you live with them peacefully. No kid should have gone through what you have." Tommy's never received an apology like this before, one that he desperately needed to hear. He felt himself shake as his brother spoke, and before he knew it he was leaving Ghostburs arms to enter Wilbur's. The older male gladly, and maybe even relieved, embraced the other, one of his hands lanky fingers running through his hair in a calming way.

"I forgave you for that a long time ago, Wilby." Tommy felt a bit better knowing he had closure on that chapter of his past now, a small smile forming on his lips. "But thank you for the apology."

"Thank you for forgiving me."

"As nice as this scene is, Wilbur Soot." Philza growled. Tommy could feel the older brother tense by the other bird hybrid's words. "You and I are going to have a very nice, long talk." He could hear the anger in the father's voice, and felt Wilbur slowly detach himself from Tommy.

"Okay, let's go then." With that he heard two pairs of footsteps leaving the dining room, leaving Tommy with his two other brothers. Speaking of which the question from that night was still nagging at him.

"If Wilbur's alive, and you and Ghostbur are alive and technically related, does that mean you, Wilbur , and Bur are triplets?" The other two seemed to pause.

"Heh?" Ghostbur giggled softly, his blue eyes shining at the thought.

"I guess you could say that, right Technoblade?" Ghost asked, probably looking over towards the eldest for confirmation with a huge smile. The three considered themselves siblings, even if Ghostbur was born from Wilbur's death.

"I guess you could say that." Tommy smiled just picturing the small smile the piglin hybrid was probably displaying. "Now, Tommy, get to eating. We have a busy day ahead of us." Tommy's ears perked at this, tail swishing as his smile grew.

"More training?" He asked excitedly. He heard the eldest brother near him, ruffling his messy bedhead of hair fondly.

"Nope, better. We're getting preparations for our L'maburg takedown." Now, that was better than training.
