🍃Chapter 15🍃

Tommy silently sheared the sheep's fur off, Philza sat next to him as he dissected the animal. It was a comfortable silence, unlike the normal awkward one they shared often. "So, Technoblade tells me you're taking up archery?" The raccoon glanced over.

"Uh, yeah I am." He could basically hear the father's happy smile.

"I would have thought you'd want to use a sword." He chuckled. Tommy smiled slightly. "You always loved them, asked for a netherite one for Christmas one year- you remember that?" The raccoon's ears fell against his head at the memory, still fondly smiling.

"Yeah, I do." He murmurs. "You got me a netherite dagger instead, saying that a sword was a bit much." He laughed at the memory, still remembering his happiness of holding that weapon.

"You were six." Phil says, ruffling the blonds' hair fondly. Tommy smiles. "You wouldn't have been able to even hold it up properly." The teen laughs at this, knowing what the other said was true.

"I still have the dagger, you know." The air around them goes silent as Tommy admits to still having the gift. "When We were leaving, I grabbed it before we left. I was sad I was leaving if I'm being honest. It hurt seeing your angry glare towards Wilbur." The other pauses, feeling a sudden wave of sadness take over him. "But it also hurt that you didn't stop him from taking me either." He could feel how frozen the other was, just listening to him talk silently. "I was confused, really. I didn't really know what was happening, but I didn't know that I might not have seen you again." He was pulled into the bird hybrid's side, a wing securely wrapping around him. "I was hurt, that you seemed not to care though, that that could have been the last time you'd see me. It seemed to not even phase you."

"I'm sorry Tommy, I should have tried harder to keep you home." Tommy shook as he wrapped his arms securely around himself. "I know I messed up, I'm a horrible father. I didn't protect you, Tommy. What kind of father doesn't protect their own child? You were put through so much pain because of me." Tommy sniffled, trying to hold his needed tears back, This confession, this is what Tommy needed. He needed to know Phil was sorry, that he knew he messed up. He latched onto his father, pulling the man closer as he buried his head into the other's chest.

He felt the man's arms hug him close, and the wings he once knew would always be there to shield him from the horrors of the world return. "I'm so sorry, Toms. I'm so sorry." He cried, letting his tears fall as the other rubbed his back in the deadly silent outdoors. It was peaceful, and the exact step to healing the two family members needed.

Wilbur huffed as he forced his way through the snow, shivering from the thin layers he was wearing. This was the last biome though, so his brother had to be here somewhere. He was determined to find the other, his brown eyes tracing the area around him for any sign of life. His wings flapped trying to fling some of the unwanted snow off of them. This was a pain but one he was willing to endure to find his twin.

Finally, after so much walking he found a cabin that looked like it was being habited, along with another one that looked cozy as well. He trudged up to the house quickly, feeling his feet were ready to fall off.

When he reached it he knocked quickly, hoping that the person he had been looking for was home and would let him inside. He heard someone's voice from inside, but it definitely didn't sound like Technoblades. It almost sounded like his own, but sweeter.

When the door opened he was met with an identical copy of himself, except he looked kind, less traumatized, had white hair with a brown streak, blue eyes, white wings instead of his brown ones, and his clothing style was a bit different than his. They both blinked, ine turning pale and the other trying to process what he was seeing.

When Wilbur was about to say something, his copy screamed, quickly trying to shut the door but the other reacted quickly, sticking his foot between the door and wall. His foot was surely broken, but at least the door was still open. "Go away!" The voice on the other side squeaked, still trying to shove the door shut.

"No, who are you?! Isn't this Techno's house?"

"Nope, wrong address! Sorry-" Wilbur shoved the door open, forcing the other to fall to the ground. The copy looked terrified, like he was looking at a monster and was unsuccessfully trying to get away.

"Who are you? Why do you look like me?!" The other him looked frantic, his blue eyes darting around for some type of escape.

"I-I-" rushed footsteps from behind made Wilbur turn around, not fast enough though. He had blacked out after feeling a piercing pain in the back of his head. Someone knocked him out, great.

Ghostbur stared down toward Wilbur, breathing heavily as his blue eyes stayed trained on the other. Technoblade stood over the other twin, looking towards Ghostbur with worried eyes. "Are you alright? I saw what was happening from the barn, I was waiting for a good time to intervene. Sorry I didn't help earlier." Bur slowly stood, still shaken up, but shook his head at the apology.

"I-It's fine, really. I'm happy you helped at all." The man before him looked peaceful, nothing like the crazy man he had seen in his memories. "How is he alive...?" it seemed to puzzle both of them for a moment before Techno finally put a few of the puzzle pieces together.

"Remember when you said Dream was trying to kill you?" Ghost slowly nodded. "Well Ghosty, I think that this might have something to do with it."
