🍃Chapter 10🍃

One Hour Later. . .

Phiza sat in the kitchen, a plate of chicken and carrots in front of him as he waited for Technoblade to come back with Tommy. Tommy was alive, the father was still soaking that information in. But Tommy was also now blind, because of Dream. The bird hybrid fluttered his wings open at the thought. This admin was bad news from the start, and he's finally realized it. He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard two sets of feet coming into the kitchen, first was Technoblade, and then came in Tommy. Tommy had many burn scars covering his body, huge splotches on his arms, face, and even neck. His eyes were dull blue, not the usual happy sapphire they once were. It saddened The father to see his youngest like this.

He had thought the young teen would be in good hands with the admin, he was wrong. He blindly listened to the stupid admin, and now he knew he'd never trust the man again. "Tommy." The raccoon hybrid stiffened at his voice, making him frown at the sight. His tail was fluffed out, ears perked, and dead-looking eyes staring in his direction. "How are you?" It was a weird conversation, seeing this was the first time they have talked to one another in years. Even when Philza decided to stay on the server, Tommy never made a move to speak to him, in fact basically steered clear of his father, but Philza wasn't blaming their poor bond on him. Phil himself never reached out, a regret that still tugged at his heart. His son needed him, and where was he? Now helping Tommy, that's where he was.

"I-I'm doing alright." It seemed he forced himself to say those words, before cautiously making it to the table to what he presumes is the blond's normal seat. Technoblade rounded the table to his seat, which already had food out in front of it. "How are you, Phil?" Phil, no dad, or father, or even dadza. He missed Tommy calling him Dadza, something he cherished when his boys were still so young.

"Well, better now knowing you're alive." The blond smiled sadly, even if he knew Tommy couldn't see. The raccoon bit his bottom lip at that, scooping his fork up and giving a jerked nod.

"Guys, this is cringy please stop." Techno mutters, stabbing a few carrots as he speaks. Philza shoots the other a playful glare, the piglin hybrid only smiling softly. Tommy smiled too, even if it was faint. "So, where do you plan to build your house?" Techno asks, finally eating some of the food on his plate. Phil thought, there was a nice hill near the cabin, not too far either. It was close enough that if Philza wanted to come over he'd barely have to walk.

"I saw a nice hill when I was still outside, I might build it there." Technoblade hummed. That was where he planned to have his fox farm, but he could depart with his plan if that's where his father wanted to build his house. Plus, he had another place that he'd been looking at anyways.

"Sounds good to me. Maybe you can even do your, uh, terraforming and make a pond between yours and our house." Philza's eyes light up at the thought. It's been a long time since he'd done a project like that. He'd have to go all out if he was being given permission to make a pond. "Plus, it'll be good for getting ice and I don't need to walk as far for fishing." It seemed like a good idea.

"Yeah, then I'll build my house on the hill, and then start on the pond." Phil starts eating himself.

"What about our revenge on L'manburg?" Tommy suddenly asked. Technoblade looked over towards the other, humming in thought.

"We'll have to do that while Phil is making his house, and the new pond."

"Wait, he knows about the plan?" Philza asks. Why would Tommy be in on a plan like that? The raccoon teen was a founder of that country, someone who fought for it from the beginning. He was really willing to just blow that country up like it meant nothing to him? The father was stunned.

"They tried to kill my brother, what they've done is unforgivable." A pause. "Plus, it's not my home anymore. In fact, I don't know if it ever was my home." Phil frowned at this answer, he was going to speak but Tommy continued. "It was just a place I was forced to fight for." With that he stood up, grabbing his plate and silverware and heading towards the sink, his free hand grazing against the countertops to probably not smack into them by accident. When the boy finally left the room, the remaining father and son looked at one another.

"Like I said, still mentally recovering." That's all the pinkette said before he began to eat again, making Phil feel even worse. Maybe if he had fought Wilbur on keeping the boy with him, instead of just giving his second-oldest a reason to take the other with him, he wouldn't be in the situation he was in. If only, he had been a better father.

Tubbo huffed out a breath as he flopped onto Ranboo's couch, exhausted from another day of trying to run a country with a war starting. Weapons have been ordered, armor has been signed for, enchantments are soon to be here, and soldiers are being found. He now realized why Wilbur always looked tired while in the first war, and running the country. It was hard work. Ranboo slid into a chair that was near the couch, a soft fire blazing in front of the two. "You know, Tommy wouldn't have let me make any of the decisions I have." The goat hybrid says, dull green eyes looking at the fire. Ranboo looked over, a frown on his face. "He'd tell me it was 'fucking stupid' and then laugh, because he'd be too nervous to do anything else." a pause. "But, even knowing what I'm doing is a huge fuck up, he'd still be t-there, by my s-side ready to fight with me."

Tubbo curled in on himself, tears building up in his eyes. It hurt, knowing he played a part in Tommy's suicide. He wasn't there for the male, but Tommy himself was always there for him no matter what. He helped Tubbo get over his death during the Manburg war, helped him during the first l'manburg war in battles, helped him be president, helped reassure the other teen that what he was doing was the right decision... and what did Tubbo do for the male? Ranboo reached over, running his lanky fingers through the goat hybrid's hair softly. "I don't know what I'm doing anymore."

"It's ok, I'm here for you, yeah?" Tubbo sniffled, looking over toward the other boy in sadness. Even if he wasn't Tommy, the other had already been there for the other multiple times. He backed him up on his decision to go to war and even joined the butcher army with him just to make sure he didn't die. The goat hybrid let a shaky smile leave his lips.

"Yeah..." Even so, it didn't stop the pain the president felt. "Thank you, Ran." The ender hybrid smiled, still running his fingers through the other's hair hoping to comfort the other teen.

"Have they made Tommy's grave yet?" Tubbo's voice was quiet as he spoke, the ender hybrid himself barely heard him.

"Yeah... they're setting it up tonight." The goat hybrid softly smiled, forcing himself to sit up.

"We're gonna go to the cemetery, right?" Ranboo slowly nodded, red and green eyes watching the still depressed president.

"Uh, yeah... we might want to leave now then- if we're gonna go." The half and half stood up, walking towards Tubbo who himself was getting up. Ranboo hugged the other close, seeing the other was still crying silently. When they ended the hug, they were on their way to the cemetery where Tommy's grave was going to be.

Tubbo sat in front of a grave, a flower crown he had made for this very occasion tucked between his shaking fingers as streams of tears fell down his face. Ranboo stood on the sidelines, a bundle of alliums in his hand. He didn't know why he felt the urge to put flowers down on Tommy's grave, or why it was just this specific flower he wanted to give to the grave. Any other flower he refused to add to the bouquet. "I'm gonna miss you, Toms." Tubbo said, lifting his hands to set the red and white flower crown onto the top of the grave. Tubbo made no move to move away from the slab of stone, making Ranboo frown some. He understood though, this was too much for the teen president, but the others surrounding them seemed to see a problem with it.

"Tubbo, you can't just sit there forever." Quackity slightly snaps, a new scar adorned his face, making the winged man look angry all the time now. Ranboo shot a glare towards the other hybrid, making the man slightly flinch. Ranboo was about to say some... interesting words to the man when a hand reached for his own. He looked over to see a very sad Tubbo latching onto him.

"It's f-fine." He sniffled out. Ranboo glared one more time towards the other man before moving towards the grave himself. He may not have known the boy to the extent that most of the SMP had, but he knew the other was a selfless teen, a sweet boy who didn't deserve something like this. Ranboo was sad he wouldn't get to know the male better, have a strong bond with the other like others have had. He sat the alliums down in front of the grave, kneeling as he ran his fingers over the engraving in the slab of stone.

"I wish I could have known you better, Tommy. You seemed like a... sweet person." He smiled sadly, pulling his hand away slowly. "I hope wherever you are, you're happy." He stayed kneeling for a few more moments before lifting himself up, letting the next person say their goodbyes to the teen, who happened to be fundy, the fox hybrid was holding a huge bouquet of blood-red roses in his clutches. He looked so sad, glittering tears trickling down his face as he sat the bundle of flowers down. Ranboo turned away after this, looking towards a still-shaking Tubbo. He hugged the smaller close again, letting the male slouch into him for comfort. "It's gonna be ok." He'd be there for the other teen, because he had a feeling very soon, the two would only have one another.
