The begging

-A/n pov-

The silence got broken by the silent sounds of footsteps. A dark figure can be spotted against the opening of the Shire.

Her white black cloak covering her then body and most of her face. The dark figure stops at a green wooden door. She knocks gently at the door, waiting for it to be opened.

The door opens and there stands a hobbit. He is as short as a child but seems old enough to be considered an adult.

" Angela at your service." The dark figure states as she bows. The Hobbit by the name of Bilbo seems Belvidered by seeing this unusual person at his doorstep. But he answers polity.
"Bilbo Baggins at yours.." he says uneasy, trying to get a look at the stranger's face.

She just smiles under her cloak and walks in. She gently slips into the Shadow of the walls as Bilbo goes back to his table.

But before he can reach the table, there's another knock at the door. Bilbo sprints back to the door and opens it. Angela peeks her head from the shadows but quickly returns as she sees it's a dwarf who's the new guest.

She has no hate for dwarfs but they seem not to like her because of her elven appearance. She hears the dwarf and Bilbo introduce themselves to one another.

She chuckles at Bilbo's confusion. As the dwarf by the name of Dwalin makes his way into the room, she quickly presses herself against the wall. He seems to take no notice of her and starts eating Bilbo's plate.

Angela was now sitting beside the two dwarven brothers by the name Filli and Killi. None of the dwarves had seen her face but they had heard her voice and laughter. It sounded like water dripping down from stone.

Bilbo had grown close to her in a couple of hours and she saw him as her "child".

"Angela, come here," Gandalf said gently, and pats the chair beside him. She nodded and moved over. Gandalf then handed her a map. Her eyes wandered over the old map. As soon she saw the symbol of the dragon Smaug. She had heard a lot of him but had never seen him in person. She might be a dragon but as a royal dragon, she wasn't allowed to travel to any lowly places as Erebor.
"I have heard of Erebor alright, you seek to reclaim your land from The dragon Smaug?" She says as she looks up from the map. Her eyes move to the leader of the company, Thorin.
"Yes, that's correct. Though I fail to see why that is a thing for an elf." Angela just scoffs and hands the map back to Gandalf.

Gandalf senses her anger and disappointment with this dwarf so he just starts talking about that they can't read the runes on the map. Angela listen carefully, trying to figure out who could be wise enough to read this.

Her eyes then lit up. Lord Elrond, he could read them. He's old and wise enough. They must go to Rivendale. But seeing Thorin's hate for elves, this will not be an easy journey. She speaks up, careful not to anger Thorin.

"We must take this to Lord Elrond." Her voice is a whisper. Only those who are closest to her can hear.

Thorin rises in protest.
"No, I will not go to elven filth to seek help. They-" thorin got cut off by Angela who had raised her hand.
"I know what hate you hold for elves. I know what King Thranduil did to you that day you needed help the most. But you can't hold a grudge forever, my hear dwarf. Eventually,  your hate will go and block your heart and mind to see what's right. I ask you not to stop hating elves, but at least, let us travel to Riverdale. Lord Elrond is one of them who can read your runes." Angela said as she moved her gaze from Thorin. He was silent, pondering on her words.

Angela woke to the chipper of birds and someone gently tugged her hair. She opened her eyes and was met by a happy neigh. The animal who was the owner of the sound and tugging was a horse. Not any horse, but her horse. Angela smiled at her big creature of a friend.

"Nanna," Angela said, happy overseeing her 4-legged friend. Nanna reared and hit the ground beside her Elven rider. Normally one would be scared over almost getting crushed by a horse, but Angela just laughed at the excitement her friend showed. She stood up and gently patted Nanna's soft mane.

"Woah" a voice snapped her out of her thoughts. The owner of the voice was one of the dwarven brothers, Killi. Angela smiled down at him. She bent down to his level.

"Her name is Nanna if you were wondering master dwarf." She said. Killi nodded. Angela saw that the young dwarf wanted so bad to feel this muscular creature's muscles.

"Come master dwarf, give me your hand." Killi did as Angela said and let her take his hand. She guided it to Nanna's mane.

"Go on, stroke her. She is kind and will not hurt you." Angela said, her voice was soothing and soft. Little did they know that someone was watching them. Thorin saw the softness she showed his cousin. She was nothing like that king who dints help. No, it was clear to him that she wanted nothing to help them. But still, he didn't fully trust her yet., just like that hobbit, Bilbo.

^+^

They were riding across grassy plains and wooden lands. Nanna was a lot higher than the dwarves' ponies but she took no heed to them. Gandalf rode beside Angela and talked a bit with her about her last adverus. She had been in the woodland realm before but never met any of the elves, but she'd seen them on patrol.

"  Wait! Wait!" a familiar voice calling out behind us. Bilbo comes then, fun.

" I signed it," he says as he walks up to Balin. Angela smiles under her hood.

"Everything appears to be in order. Welcome, master Baggins, to the company of Thorin Oakenshield." Balin says as he takes the contract down in his pocket. '

" Give him a pony," Thorin says as he urges his pony further on. Bilbo imendly says in protest.

"  No, no, no, no. That...that won't be necessary. Thank you. I'm sure I can keep up on foot. Yeah, I...I've done my fair share of walking holidays, you know? Even got as far as Frog Morton once" Angela just chuckles and urges Nanna to Bilbo and jerk him up.

" He can ride with me." She said and places him in front of her.

^+^

The ride goes on further in a quite good tone. Suddenly bags of coins were tossed between the dwarves. Bilbo turns to Gandalf with a questioning look on his face.

"What's that about?" he asks. Gandalf has a little smile on his face, same did Angela.

" Oh, they took wagers on whether or not you'd turn up. Most of them bet that you wouldn't." Gandalf said. Angela then catches one of the bags and throws it up a little then back in her pocket.

" I never doubted you, master hobbit. I think Gandalf did not either."

^+^

Soon they reach a little cave. Thorin stops and says "let us say here for tonight."

Angela feels her dragon longing to go out. She decided to let it. She goes over to Gandalf and says.

"Gandalf, I will go for a bit and scout our path. I'll be back" Gandalf nods and Angela goes out and down to the water under their camp.

When she comes down to the water, she bends down and touches the surface gently with her palm. Suddenly fire starts circling her. Her skin gets replaced by moon-white scales and her arms grow longer and stronger. Her nails grow into night-black talons. Wings unfold from her side and a tail slither down from her rump. Her head is big and scaly. horns pride the top of her head like a crown. Spikes leads down to the tip of her tail and ends with a rose-like ball. Angela roars silently as she feels the warmth of her fire crawling up inside her chest. She looks down in the clear blue water and sees her reflections. Her blue eyes shine in the moonlight and her scales shimmer.
