Water...

Earth...

Fire...

Air...

Eight children of different backgrounds have to work together. Each of them has a special power, controlling the element of a choice that was not their own but was foretold on them by a force unlike their own.

Long ago, on a land far, far away, and not like the Earth today was a land of magic and benders.

Each of them had two main leaders, a male and a female. The leaders of each element would meet with the other leaders, and they helped each other out with whatever they needed to do and get done.

Water elements would help out the fire elements.

Fire elements would help out earth elements.

And so on and so forth, making sure that they all stayed safe and alive, for not one of the elements was stronger than the other and worked together.

However, that all changed after two centuries when an evil warlock named Adian came to the land once called Galisha.

He put all the elements against each other so that he, and only he, could rule over the land of Galisha.

Before long, all the benders were gone except those that followed his orders.

Eight benders, a male and a female from each group, formed a group called the Guardians that protected the truth of what their ancestors had done before them.

They made special items with their symbols in them and helped defeat Adian, but it was at a great cost.

Galisha was destroyed, and the benders had to flee to new realms not like their own. They came to a place where no one believed in magic, known today as Earth.

The eight benders split into different parts of the world, however staying close enough to stay in contact if their powers were needed.

Now, seven centuries later, Adian was on the rise again, so a new group of benders had been called.

When the last person of their group turned seventeen-years-old, they each received a phone call from an unknown person.

Will they answer the call and meet, or will Earth, as they know it, plunge into a realm of darkness?
